When Elements Meet: Chapter 1 - Council of Arendelle

Arendelle was a beautiful kingdom that sits in a cape, its buildings had a comfortable feel to them while also keeping a traditional look to them. Sitting further out into the water of Arendelle's bay was a walled castle that had a walkway to the rest of the town, the castle roofs had what looked like ice covering them with the highest most point had a snowflake made of ice on top.(1) This ice like look was the cause of Arendelle's current Queen. At the age of twenty-four, Elsa is a beautiful young woman with pale skin, with snow white hair that was pulled into a tight bun and blue eyes, currently she is wearing a dark blue long sleeve dress with the sleeves and collar being black with a white ice-like cape.(2) And right now Queen Elsa is in a meeting with her advisory council and she was both annoyed and bored. Leaning into her hand Elsa looked on as advisor Norman, wearing a dark green suit and white shirt like the rest of the advisors around her, went on a rant on how Arendelle needed a king to be ran properly... again. 'Isn't this the forth time he brought this up in a meeting.' Elsa thought as she watched said advisor pace in the room. Mentally shaking her head of the thoughts she was having, Elsa looked to the other advisors and saw them as equally annoyed as she was. Rolling her eyes as she heard a comment on how kings can handle certain situations that a queen couldn't, Elsa looked to her right and covered her mouth as quickly as she could to keep the laugh from escaping. Sitting to her right was another young woman with skin a bit more tanned than Elsa, with red hair done up in a bun similar to her own hair and blue eyes though you couldn't see them right now as they were closed. Anna, Elsa's sister, was dressed in a black dress with green flowers on it and a purple long sleeve silk crop jacket and was asleep leaning on her hands drool running down her arm. ' Oh Anna I'm sorry you have to go through this, I'm going to have to find a way to make this up to her.' Elsa thought looking at her sister sleeping. Feeling a nudge on her left Elsa turned and saw Michelle, a women in her late sixties as evident to her graying brown hair and what few wrinkles one could see on the women's white face. She was the only female advisor on the council and was wearing the same dark green suit that the others were wearing but with a dress and white blouse. Giving her a look of mirth Michelle said to her "Please pay attention my Queen, as much as we don't want to it is necessary." The whisper was full of amusement but Elsa could tell she was serious about what she said. Giving Michelle a small nod and smile Elsa turned back to the one sided conversation. "And that is why my Queen that I took it upon myself to send out letters to neighboring kingdoms to invite them to your twenty-fifth birthday in the coming days." Norman said his voice held a smug tone to it. Normally he wouldn't do this sort of thing sending out letters with out the Queens approval as it could paint the one doing so in a bad light but Queen Elsa was always quick to just push the subject of marrying under the rug so much that he decided to send these letters out, its not like he wrote down to send princes to ask for the Queens hand in marriage. Hearing a sharp intake of breath Norman turned around to find his follow advisors looking at him in shock. A man with dark skin and no hair stood up in a quick manner, his face set in a deep frown, the grey hairs in his beard more pronounced because of it. "And tell us Advisor Norman what right do you have that allows you to act with out the Queens approval?" The deep tone that was speaking was calm but everyone could hear the underlining anger that the man had. As head advisor Don had a right to be angry as even before the Queens approval he was suppose to see it first, to see if it was even worth letting the Queen see it. "I believed my actions to be in the right, the Queen is too busy for such things." Norman said but before more words could be said the temperature in the room started to drop. It got cold to the point were everyone in the room could see their breath. Looking to the cause for the cold they saw Elsa with a blank look on her face but her chair had completely froze over and frost was starting to gather on the table.

The sudden cold snapped Anna out of her sleep causing her face to drop out of her hands, reaching up to wipe the sleep from her eyes Anna felt a wetness on her face. Gaining a light shade of red on her cheeks she pulled a handkerchief out of her sleeve and wiped her face. Looking up to see if anyone notice she saw everyone looking in her direction, feeling her cheeks burn a bit hotter Anna took notice of how cold it was and the fact it was getting colder. Anna turned to her left to were her sister was sitting and saw Elsa sitting there with a blank look on her face, her chair was also frozen and the table was almost completely covered in frost. A look of concern crossed Anna's face as she reached over and grabbed her sisters hand. In the five minutes she was sitting there Elsa finally blinked her eyes, lifting her head out of her hand Elsa turned toward her sister who she could feel holding her hand. Seeing the look of concern on Anna's face, Elsa smiled and gave the hand a squeeze. Anna smiled back before frowning again. "Elsa what happen?" Elsa's frown returned when she remembered what she heard. "I'm calm now thanks to you but I need you to stay calm especially when you hear what I just heard, ok?" Elsa saw the confusion on Anna's face but was happy to see her nod to keeping her calm. Breathing deeply to collect herself Elsa put her hand on the table and used her powers to remove the frost from it. The advisors all sighed in relief remembering why they agreed to allowed Princess Anna to join the meetings even though she never stayed awake for one. While most of the council silently thanked the late King and Queen for Anna, Don and Michelle noticed how Elsa's chair was still frozen, evidence of their Queens anger still on full display. After all the frost was gone Elsa sat forward on her chair leaning onto her arms as she closed her eyes to collect her thoughts. Elsa opened her eyes, locking Advisor Norman in her gaze as she went over the advisors words in her head. The room returned to normal temperature except around Norman who could actually feel it getting colder. When trying to give Olaf his permanent freeze so he would never melt Elsa found out that she could change the temperature around a single object or person without effecting the whole area said person or object was in, Norman just happened to be the current target of such a skill. "Advisor Norman, I have listened to your concerns for Arendelle like I have listened to all the advisors on this council." The advisors nodded to this as it was true Elsa listened to all of their concerns and than made decisions that were best for Arendelle. "But to think you, who has been on this council since before my father was crowned king, would do something like this." Elsa trailed off and stopped herself from continuing, she could her the tone in her voice getting colder as she talked, it wouldn't do for her to lose her temper. Anna cleared her throat getting the rooms attention. "First off let me apologize for my conduct during this meeting, but Advisor Don would you be so kind to explain to me why my sister is trying this hard to control her anger, something I must also point out that she had never had to do before." Anna spoke with a calm voice but Don heard the edge to her words, he was sure the others could hear it too. "Princess Anna, the reason for the Queens anger is that we just heard that Advisor Norman had sent out letters to neighboring kingdoms without the Queens approval." Don answered the princess honestly, she had a right to know what was going on after all. Anna gained a look of shock understanding the depth of what had been done, looking to the offending advisor Anna was getting ready to speak when she felt Elsa pat her hand, turning to her sister she saw Elsa shake her head. Understanding what she wanted Anna nodded to her sister and sat back in her chair. Elsa turned back to Norman seeing that the advisor was shivering openly now, deciding to pull back her powers Elsa stood up and walked over to Norman. Putting a hand on Norman's arm, Elsa looked him in the eye as the cold area dissipated. "I won't lie I'm very angry about what you did, but you have to understand why." Elsa said leading Norman to a seat. "The reason for my anger is that I don't want another incident like what we had with Prince Hans, that and Anna convinced me to have a birthday party with only family this time around." Elsa paced around the table back to her seat seeing nods from the advisors and saw a small flinch from Anna with Michelle placing a hand on her arm in comfort. "But now I have to cater to guest instead of enjoying my birthday, so I stress this now and honestly I'm disappointed I have to say this but please if you have any ideas that involve outside kingdoms bring it to Don or myself first, do not act on anything that does not have either of our approval first. If that's understood than I call this meeting to an end you're all dismissed."

All the advisors stood as Elsa sat down, placing her head in her hands and massaging her temples Elsa heard the advisors leave the room. Letting out a sigh after she heard the door close Elsa looked up to see Don and Michelle hadn't left yet. "Let me apologize your majesty I..." Elsa stopped Don before he could finish. "You have nothing to apologize for Don, Norman did this behind your back as much as mine." Don sighed but gave a nod in agreement. "Than at least let me handle the arrangements so you can spend the days before with Princess Anna and her boyfriend Kristoff." Anna's face immediately lit up red at the mention of her supposedly secret boyfriend. Getting ready to deny that Kristoff was her boyfriend she was cut off by Michelle giggling. "Oh don't look so surprised Princess Anna as hard as you try to hide the fact that your involved with the boy, it's really obvious that your seeing him." Michelle said causing Anna to pout. Shaking his head Don turned to Elsa to see her in deep thought, patting Michelle on the shoulder he got a nod from the women, looking at Elsa one more time he called out that he'll handle everything leaving the room. Michelle simply sighed before moving towards the door. "Can you get a handmaiden to bring us some tea." Anna called out to Michelle getting a yes from the women as she left. Looking over at Elsa still in thought Anna walked over to her sister and stood next to her chair. "Elsa..." Still not getting a response Anna knocked on her chair in a pattern getting Elsa to smile. "Want to build a snowman?" Anna whispered in Elsa's ear causing her to laugh, sighing Elsa frowned. "I really hope a nothing bad happens, a normal birthday party would have been nice." Anna just hugged her sister from behind. "I'm sure nothing will happen, I mean at least it's not a surprise party that would have been weird." Anna said getting the two girls to start laughing. On a ship heading towards Arendelle a man twenty-five in age was standing on top of the sails of his ship, his skin was tan and body was defined but not overly muscular his black hair was in a pony tail and he had two necklaces hanging around his neck one with a orange gem the other with a sapphire gem. The man was shirtless aside from a red sleeveless vest that was open, black pants held up by a red sash tucked into black ankle high boots. Amber eyes that seemed to burn with curiosity looked off to the horizon. "Arendelle, I wonder what adventures you hold."

First chapter now done... and my first post not sure how to feel but ok. I might have another chapter done at some point but i don't think I'll have it done anytime soon, not to mention that I was curious to see how the story would do, any who.

1) Look up arendelle castle on google.

2) If you take the dress during her coronation and give it the color change, get rid of the gloves and you will have the dress.
