GRAND TALE
Summary: You know the drill. Someone gets dragged into being Isekai-d to a fictional world. This time it's FAIRY TAIL, but he didn't want to deal with their craziness, so joining the local guild seems the way to go right? Oh boy why did I tempt FATE.
"In a land far, far, away lies the Kingdom of Fiore, a small and peaceful nation of 17 million, and a place filled with magic. Found in every home, bought and sold in every marketplace. For most people, magic is merely a tool, a mundane part of everyday life. For some however, magic is an art, and they've devoted their lives to its practice. These are the wizards and mages, and banded together into magical guilds, they ply their skills in search of fame and fortune. Many such guilds dot the landscape of Fiore, but there is a certain guild in a certain town that stands high above the rest of them, one from which countless legends have been born, a guild that will no doubt continue to create legends well into the future. This guild is known as Fairy -."
KA-BBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!
RAAAAWWWWRRRR!
CCCCRRRRAAASSSSHHHHHH!
"at least you thought so."
A Forest Somewhere, Fiore
The sound of roars and explosions can be heard throughout the forest along with trees being ripped and torn from their roots as something large hits them. In the forest floor, the place is buzzing with the rapid footsteps of small and large creatures running and scurrying away from the large commotion that's occurring in their relatively peaceful home.
Their instinct screams to them to stay clear away from whatever that is happening, as getting caught up in it, would put them very much in harm's way. And they should, as the beast that is the source of all the disturbance runs as fast as its legs could go, away from the 'THING' that was hunting it down, but before it can continue to run any further, a powerful force slams at it in the side blasting through the trees.
As the large reptilian creature continues to be blown throughout the forest floor, hitting and uprooting several trees in its way, it was able to weakly stop itself from being blown further away. Its body is riddled with wounds while one of its legs lays limp, it heavily pants as it surveys the land for the one that's responsible for its current state.
"You know, for a B-Class Monster, you're not that strong." The creature whips its head to the source of the voice finally laying eyes to the one who's been hunting it this whole time. "But, I guess given that you were able to evade the Rune Knights and the other mages that were hunting you, means that you're aren't as brain dead as they say." The large lizard glares at that remark, feeling as its was being belittled by this thing.
"Hey, don't look at me like that. If you haven't terrorized those villages for their livestock, then we wouldn't be in this situation." The creature still maintains its glare. "Well then, let's get this over with now." As the figure steps out of the shadows, the creature (and us the audience) finally can have a glimpse of who is this person.
It was a young man (around 15 if you're wondering). He has styled black hair with amethyst eyes. He wears a navy blue high-collared jacket with black highlights that covers a bit of his mouth. He wears slightly baggy dark green cargo pants tucked into steel tipped combat boots and finally, he has a bandanna tied in his left arm with tribal design into it.
The beast growls and snarls at the boy and he just simply looks back with deadpanned eyes. "Yeah let's just end this" as the boy said it, the creature lunged to bite his head off and finally ended it all. As the beast goes for the attack, the boy's hardened a bit and slightly spread his legs to a readier stance. Up above, beyond the massive lizard's line of sight, a purple magic circle appears and begins to spin counter clockwise.
"G-Force, Reverse" he whispers as an unseen force pulls him upward, beyond the creature's jaw and up above it, preparing to finish this fight.
As the beast snaps it's jaw close, it bites nothing but air. Quickly, it searches for the threat that hunts it and as it continues to do so until, "Hey lizard breath!" it turns its head just on time for an overhead axe kick to hit its head knocking down to the floor along with cracking the ground with the weight of the creature and his kick.
"Raawwwwrr" the reptilian creature weakly moans, losing what little strength it has left from both the chase and the last clash, as it slowly cranes its head, it sees the boy in front of it looking no worse for wear. "Sorry bout' this big guy but you've done too much harm to be left out. So I'm gonna end this as quickly as I can" the boy said as he spread out his stance to end this fight. Legs slightly spread, body facing side with both arms raised chin-level.
As this was happening, a purple light emanated from his arms and a wide magic circle appeared in front of him. with his magic at the ready, the boy speaks.
"Sleep tight, G-Force –."
WOOOSSSSHHHHHH!
SSQQEEAAUUCCHHH!
"…Bullet Fist" the creature didn't even know it was hit as it died, the punch landed straight and through it brain killing it along with shutting down its nerves leaving it to die a painless death. As the boy removes his hand from the head of the creature, he looks to his bloodied hand for a minute and signs deeply, wiping up some of the blood with a handkerchief from one of his pockets from his cargo pants.
"Well, guess it back to that Major, time to cash in the quest". The boy looks back at the creature it just killed, slightly bowing his head and gives it a moment of silence before placing his hand on top of its body as a purple glow covers its body along with another magic circle float above it. After the spell was done, the body begin to float up from the forest floor and stopping at a certain point by the will of the user, seeing as the carcass was securely above the ground, with the objective of his quest at hand, he nodded to himself and start trekking out of the forest towards the village of the Major who posted the quest.
As he walks toward his destination, his mind begins to wander, recalling stuff and things he needed to do back at the guild or what he should be cooking up for dinner this night. "Hope it won't take too long to collect the reward, don't wanna miss the train back home". The young man thought to himself as he continues on to his walk
1st POV
The walk back to the village was pretty much a boring affair as you might have guessed. And now that I've reached the Mayor's Office, I can finally get my reward and go back home. So, I knocked three times at the door to let them know I'm here.
KNOCK - KNOCK - KNOCK!
"The doors open" an old man's voice answered. Letting myself into the office, as expected the mayor of this town village was sitting with some paper works that he's currently giving his attention to if he is focused on signing the last of it, his clearly trying to finish up all his job before going back to home for an early rest.
I waited for a bit, cause it kinda rude if I interrupt him at this point when he's so close to finishing his work. I know I wouldn't want to be interrupted if I were nearly done with something, only for someone to come and disturb me. With that I walk toward one of the couches in the office, sitting and waiting patiently for the mayor to be done with his work. and after a couple of minutes, the mayor finally put down his pen and leaned his back to his seat.
Seeing as I can finally make my presence known I lightly coughed to get his attention. He seems to finally realize that he is not alone in the room if the slight widening of his eyes was any indication, he then looks at me with a tired face.
"Sorry about not noticing you much earlier young man, but as you can see" he nodded towards the large pile of papers in his desk, "Duty calls" he said while getting up from his seat.
"Nah, didn't wait that long, just entered here when bout' to be finished" I shrug my shoulders at him. "Anyway about the quest, I tracked down the monster and finished it, I came here for the reward". I told him while pointing my thumb towards the window in his office.
"If ya want evidence, it's just right outside" I told him as the mayor looked at me in surprise, walking in slightly faster steps, the mayor looked out from his window to see the large corpse of a lizard-like monster near the entrance of his building.
He turns back to the young man and grasped his hand saying "Ahhhh, thank you young man, when the local hunters spotted this thing making territory at the nearby forest, we posted a quest as soon as we possibly can, we are lucky enough that you responded quickly to our aid" he said, his tired face seems to brighten a little with at my announcement.
"No need to thank me, this thing has been popping up in other places and evading the Rune Knights and other mages. So, when your quest reached my guild I took interest on it and so here we are" I explained to him, really I think they overestimated it if they put that in B-Class Quests, the thing barely hit me and would have rather run and retreat than to attack, guess it was more from the amount of villages and town it has terrorized, about a dozen or so along with being able to escape the place when it knows it's gonna get hunted.
"So bout' that reward." I asked the mayor. "Ahhhhh, yes, yes, please wait for a moment" he replied while returning to his desk and pulling one of the drawers to pull out a medium size sack, filled with money.
"The reward was 160,000 Jewels, but with how quick you responded to our quest along with how fast you dealt with the threat. I believe adding another 5,000 Jewels in it is fair" the mayor said as he handed the sack with my money in it. I opened it up and carefully counted the amount of Jewels in it so that I wouldn't be scammed, remember to always do that folks, ya can never be too careful.
After finally confirming that I was indeed not scammed by the mayor. I pushed a bit of my magic towards the sack as it disappeared from my hand into my small Requip space. I shake hands with the mayor deeming the quest a very nice success. Fought a relatively beatable monster with ease and getting a bonus along with the reward, well lucky me!
"Pleasure doing business with you Mr. Mayor. Wish the best of luck running this town, now that you don't have a pest problem at hand, I'd say things would be going smoothly from now on." I said to him as I made my way out of his office, quest done, now to grab a train back to my apartment and my sweet soft bed.
"I do hopes so, safe travels Young Bredvolt" the mayor replied back to me as a close the door and out of his building. Now then, where the hell was the way to the station was again?
Oh and before I forget. HI! Hello, to whoever is listening…
My name is Atlas Bredvolt. And I got my ass Iseakai-d...
To the World of Fairy Tail.
As I board the train and take a seat near the window, I let my mind wander once again, thinking of how I got to this crazy world. "it's been bout' a decade and a half since I got put on this world, wonder if the asshole R.O.B. is watching, if you are and you're hearing then fuck you". I thought to myself and to any interdimensional omnipresence beings that are listening to me right.
Because you see, I didn't ask to be Isekai-d to this world. No if anything I refused the one they called Randomly Omnipotent Being aka R.O.B. when it "congratulates" me for being "lucky" to be chosen to go to another universe.
Here's how it happened without needing to go through all that flashback stuff and what not. Basically one night that I was sleeping I had the most detailed and over the top dream of being out in the cosmos. How did I know this wasn't normal you ask? Well other than the fact that even by my loose memory of the dreams I've known, space is not one I would have dreamt in such realistic detail and is the fact in this dark star glittering space was a very shiny humanoid looking being.
Like it was shining like a bloody sun in my face and it started speaking about how I'll be put into one of the many universes that exist in existence. And this is where I stop the thing and explain to it that I'm not Isekai protagonist material. Because one I'm still very much alive and not being run over by Truck-kun or any kind of Vehicle-kun is a one-way ticket to getting your ass Isekai (Please note: Do not purposefully get run over by Truck-kun any sort of vehicle, Always, look left and right before crossing a road). Secondly, I'm very much ok with my life on Earth, I had a loving parents, an annoying but still loveable sibling and a couple of nieces and nephews that I absolutely adored along with a relatively normal life.
So with my reasoning laid out I respectfully decline the offer and ask the being to find someone else more suited to its needs. And I thought it was the end of it, until it kept showing up in my dream ever since then. And let me tell ya, there is nothing more irritating and maddening than having someone's voice keep pestering you to do something you have already said no.
It's like one of those persistent anime girls that wouldn't take a hint that no means "NO". And so because of that I developed a bit of insomnia because I didn't want to deal with that every single night I sleep, which made me much more prone to lashing out and doing stuff I normally wouldn't even imagine myself doing and that soured my relationship with my parents a bit.
So finally, having enough of it all, let myself sleep one last time and give the bastard a very big piece of my mind. The things I said to that moment would have made my mother slap my mouth with her flip flop till it was bright red and have me apologizing for all the curses I said.
But as you can see, things didn't go my way. Because what you'd known, even overly powerful omnipotent beings can lose their patience because R.O.B. very much was done with me, so to add salt to the wound, it forces me to be Isekai-d but not after it said that it made copies of me that he'll also drop to whatever universe it so desires.
So one final middle finger (cause really, at that point that's all I can do), it proceeds to slingshot me toward one of its chosen places. As I slowly lose consciousness, I get a glimpse of the wide beautiful cosmos that was actually the multiverse all along. The numerous different celestial bodies along with the endless amount of universes that seems to spin and turn feels as though their dancing in the vast, bottomless blackness of space at least made my last sight a pretty memorable one.
And so I was shipped into the world of Fairy Tail, the place where gods, world ending immortal wizard and era destroying dragons get absolutely beat by the power of friendship. and yours truly in the most anime cliché way was found at the doorstep of an orphanage until I was 8 years old when I awakened my magic and decided to join the town's guild with the rest being history as they say.
Far North East, Town of Tresfons, Fiore
As Atlas notices the approaching tree line from his seat, he realizes that he's been in memory lane for quite some time if he only noticed how close he is back to town. The train continues down the railroad, the forest begins to draw closer with every second till all that Atlas can see in his window are rows upon rows of trees that belong to the Silua Forest. A familiar site whenever he returns from a mission in-land Fiore and he knows if he had decided to sit on the right side of the train before it made its journey back home, he would be greeted with the usual sight of seeing the foot of the Duri Mountain Range that divides Fiore and Seven. Finally, after a few minutes what seems an endless amount of trees has reached its end and Atlas can see the few small villages that scatter the few patches of grassland that can be found or made into farmlands and just beyond the horizon he can finally see the town and the train station.
Several Moments Later
WOOOOOOO WOOOOOOO!
WHHHHOOOOSSSHHHH!
As the train finally comes to a stop, all the passengers begin to move out of their seats as this is the final destination before making one last ride back for the day. It was just about dusk now from what Atlas has notice and a lot of the people in the station seems to be just bout' ready to turn in for the night and rest for day.
"Should go straight back to the apartment for now. I can go and report back to the guild next morning, no biggie." Atlas thought as he continued on his walk, slightly changing his route from his guild to his apartment. The walk was relatively uneventful, except for the occasional wave and greeting of the townspeople who noticed him on the way.
Finally, reaching his apartment building called "Little Blues". He checks in the front desk, he grabs his keys by flaring a bit of his magic to call his room key. It cost him a bit more to have it locked-on to his magical signature but it is worth the jewels if only the landlady can assess my room, especially if he's gone for a mission and someone thought it would be funny to paint the insides of his room pink and all that jazz.
So, making his was to his assigned room "#12", he opens up the room. Upon entering his apartment, the usual sight of his living room and kitchen. The living room was quite spacious, leaving a lot of space to walk around with a long couch by the side near the wall and a loveseat facing toward Atlas's direction along with a thick brown tea table nearly as long as the couch to accompany the seats.
The kitchen was a bit up ahead with the stove facing away from him, the cabinet that has the condiments, seasoning and other things was on the wall ahead the stove facing him alongside it is the fridge that was kept chilled by a small application of Ice Lacrima inside it. The sink was on his right along with the dishes and cooking utensils and finally, the dining room, or more like table with some chairs was on the far left by a window to look out from when he wants to view the port and sea whenever he feels like doing it.
"Well…" he looks around for a bit, seeing as nothing was out-of-place and left clean he cracks a smile. "Ahhhhh, Home Sweet Home" he signed out, walking a bit toward the door of his bedroom, using a bit of magic, he opened up his Requip space summoning his sack with his reward money along with his luggage before tossing both into his room.
Making a mental note to take care of his stuff later he proceeds to close the door and make his way straight to the cabinets and look though the fridge as he wipes out an easy meal for the night. A bit of seasoned fish alongside some rice and fruit, he took his time savoring the taste of his meal, taking in the slight taste of sea flavor of the fish mixing with the hint of saltiness and the seasoning along with some rice to add into it was just amazing then finishing it with some apple slice to complete his meal.
A Few Moments Later… Night Time
After he was finished eating and making sure his dishes were clean, he soaks in the bath for a bit before drying himself off and sitting by his desk near his bed. As he exited the bathroom a dry towel was draped into his shoulder covering his chest while he used another one to scrub his hair. Remembering the bag of Jewels and his luggage, he starts off by unpacking some of his dirty clothes and putting them on the laundry basket. Finally taking the sack of money, Atlas begins to divide up his share and the one for the Guild.
The lampshade on his desk was on as he put the money he earned from the Quest into a safe, putting a bit of it inside the drawer which was going to the Guild when he reports back the next day.
"Annnnnd, done. Haaahhh, now to sleep" so with all that done, Atlas let himself fall down to his bed and finally take a rest. Tucking up a bit into the blankets and turning the lampshade off, he let his eyes close as the sweet embrace of Morpheus took him to his sleep.
As he rests for the night, the moonlight shines through his window, as it slightly shines down in his body, as a symbol can be seen on his chest.
It was a simple representation of a Mountain and Sea forming a semicircle beneath it with compass arrows pointed to all sides.
This was a Guild Mark… and it belongs to…

Fair Warning, English is not my first language so I sometimes make grammar errors so there's that, I'm still on the midst of making some of the countries so there's that too and Updates are well,,,not frequent because of the first two reasons and IRL situation.
Anyway, that's all for now and have a GLORIOUS DAY TODAY!
