Juna yawned as she exited the hangar. Tita asked her for help and Juna could not say no to that, especially while she is inside Juna's body. It was backbreaking work, and she was honestly surprised on how she little her exhaustion was.

Must be her gorilla strength, Musse thought while laughing nervously.

She does not have much to do right now, since Altina, who is inside Millium's body, told her what she is currently doing with the artifact through the ARCUS. It appears that they do not need their help, which leaves Juna with a lot of free time.

She stretched her arms, thinking what to do with her newfound freedom. She smiled.

"Help Juna, of course," Juna said to herself.

She was about to head off to find Kurt when, at the corner of her eyes, she could see a sandstorm in the distance. She narrowed her eyes.

It was actually Musse running at full speed. She was so fast, she is leaving a cloud of dust.

"Musse!" Musse shouted as she ran towards her.

She jumped and skidded across the concrete floor. Juna gasped.

"Juna!" she said. "Those are my custom-made boots! Do you not realize how much they cost?"

Musse was not listening, however. She has her hands on her knees and breathing heavily. Sweat dripped down to her chin. Juna cringed as she saw how messy Musse's hair is.

"Mu…sse…" Musse breathed out. She walked up to Juna and grabbed her shoulders. "Ex…plain…"

Juna scrunched her brows together. "Explain what?" she asked.

Musse raised her head. Juna immediately took out her handkerchief, which has the Crossbell Police logo on a blue field, and started wiping Musse's sweaty face.

"Kurt," Musse said, before Juna accidentally covered her mouth with the handkerchief while she was wiping. Musse shook her head. "What's your relationship with him?"

Juna blinked. "Pardon?"

"You two met before, haven't you?" Musse was shaking Juna's shoulder.

"…What are you talking about?"

Musse, who is in Juna's body, knows exactly what Juna, who is in Musse's body, is talking about.

"Is your real name Milly?" Musse asked as she shook her friend.

"But m-my name's Musse," Juna said.

How in Gehenna does she know that? Musse screamed into her mind.

Juna wanted to run away so badly, but she knew if she does, then it would be an admission to her interrogator. She calmly removed Musse's hands away from her shoulders.

"Juna," Musse said, with as much sincerity in her voice, "has the stress been coming down on you lately?" She held Musse's hand and patted it. She smiled. "Come on. I'll buy you a drink."

"Not until you answer my questions first," Musse said, pulling her hand away. "Tell me, have you and Kurt met before?"

Juna put a finger on her chin while looking up at the sky, pretending to remember.

"Maaaaybe" Juna said. "I've studied at St. Astraia before coming here. I probably saw him in Heimdallr, once or twice, but we never talked to each other."

"Are you sure?"

Juna covered her mouth with one hand to hold her laughter.

"Juna," Juna said, smiling widely. "Are you jealous?"

Blood rushed up Musse's head.

"J-Jealous of what?" she stammered. "Like, why would I? I-It's not like him! I mean, why would I like an Erebonian? You assholes now live in Crossbell like you own the place and now he's living in my mind—I mean, waitwaitwaitwait—"

"Juna!" Juna said. She grabbed the flailing and incoherent girl, holding her still. "You're not making sense anymore!" She then started pulling her through her elbow. "Come on. There has to be a vending machine nearby."

Musse regained her senses. "But you haven't answered my questions yet!" she said.

"I never met Kurt before Thors," Juna lied as she pulled her friend. "Period."

"Is your name Milly?"

"You're the first person who called me that. I know my name starts with an 'M', but that's far too off the mark."

"How about your promise together with him?"

Musse blinked as she saw Juna screamed and fall on the ground.

"Musse?" Musse called.

Juna slowly raised her head to her. She was red as a tomato.

"I-I-I don't know what you're talking about," she stammered.

"So you do know him!" Musse said after witnessing such a violent reaction.

"I do not!"

"You do!"

"I don't!"

Tita Russell was watching the two fighting outside through the gap of the hangar door. She was about to catch up with Juna and give her some snacks as thanks for helping her. However, after witnessing the two's complete change of personality stunned Tita on her place.

She slowly backed away. "Did they switch bodies?" she asked herself.

She immediately thought it was a ridiculous idea. It was impossible. Only someone in their fever dream could imagine such a scenario. She went back inside the hangar, thinking of a logical and reasonable explanation to what she had witnessed.

In the halls of the main building, Michael Irving and Randolph Orlando faced each other from the ends of the halls. Irving has the silver king piece on hand. The two started running towards each other, screaming as they do.

The two instructors met down the middle and gave each other a thunder-like hi-five. They screamed in pain, jumping as they do so.

"Oooooh, that stings!" Randy said, kneeling on the ground and grabbing his wrist. There were tears on his eyes. "This has got to be dumbest thing we have other done in our entire lives."

"Quit your whining!" Irving said as he blinked back his tears while also grabbing his wrist. He limped to the audience at the stairs. "Mission failed, ma'am."

"It appears the impact was not enough," Millium said, lowering her scanner. She held her chin. "I thought it was adequate force."

"Bah!" Towa said, waving her hand. "Enough dilly dallying! On with the next test! This time…" she smiled, "we do the bodyslam. Ooh, hoo, hoo! This is going to be bloody!" Her purple cloak waved as she laughed.

"Wait a second, ma'am!" Principal Aurelia said. "They're hurt!"

She ran up to Irving and grabbed his injured hand.

"Are you okay, Instructor Irving?" she asked. She then started blow on palm, hoping to remove the pain this way.

"I'm not a child!" Irving shouted, jumping back.

He quickly turned around to hide his slowly reddening face.

I-It's just Towa in Principal Le Guin's body, he said to himself. Of course the real Aurelia wouldn't do such an embarrassing thing to me. I'm just a loyal subordinate. That's all… Although… it would be nice if—

He furiously shook his head.

Nononononononononono, a subordinate should never fraternize with their superiors! It would cause chaos in the chain of command! Never think about this ever again, you idiot! Never-never-never-never—

"Oh?" Towa said, looking at Irving as she held her chin.

You are like open book.

"Hey, bro. You okay?" Rean asked, putting his hand on Irving's shoulder. "You look a little out of it, man."

"Mr. Orlando, I'm fine," Irving insisted. He calmed down a little.

He started walking back to the end of the hall.

"Come on, Schwarzer," Irving said. "The experiment must continue." He needs something to distract himself with.

Randy groaned, but he stood up.

"Ugh, fine," he said and started walking. "What I would kill to fish right now."

When the two are back at their original positions, they started running towards each other again. They were screaming. This time, the two slammed against each other. A bright light engulfed the halls.

Juna and Musse were sitting against the walls of Einhel Keep outside. The two were in complete silence. Musse, who cannot take this pressure anymore, sighed in frustration and faced her friend.

"Musse," Musse said. "Please, talk to me."

Juna was staring at nowhere. Musse's brow twitched.

"Look, let's try this again," she said. "What's your relationship with Kurt?"

Juna let out a long sigh.

"None," she said, and nothing else.

"Is your name Milly?"

"No."

"What about this promise?"

"I don't know anything about that."

"Musse!" Musse stood up and put her fists on her hips. "I know you're lying."

Juna was silent again. Musse dropped her hands and frowned.

"I promise I won't be mad," she said. "When… Kurt talked to me a while ago, I could see that he cared about you."

Juna looked away.

"Weird," she said. "I never met the guy in my life."

"Musse!"

Musse knelt down next to her and began shaking her shoulder.

"I want to know what happened to you two!" she said.

Juna shook her off.

"And why would that be your business?" she shot back.

Musse put her fists on her lap and looked down. "Because… it's not fair," she finally said.

Juna slowly turned her head on her. Her expression was neutral, like a perfect poker face.

"Ever since our trip to Crossbell," Musse continued, "I thought we got some progress. I thought we were closer after. But after seeing his real side, I just realized how little I know about Kurt." She gripped her skirt. "He was just acting nice to me all the time."

Juna only watched.

"And there's you," Musse continued. "When I think of Kurt, I always thought he was this reserved guy. I kept noticing how he always controls his tone. But… the way he spoke back there, I heard the emotion in his voice for the first time."

She closed her eyes.

Milly, she heard him say again.

"I'm jealous, okay?" Musse admitted. "I wish Kurt could speak like that to… me." She blushed.

After a while, Musse gasped as she felt something on her hair. She looked up and saw Juna combing her hair with a comb.

"It's all messy," Juna said.

Musse smiled and let her fix her hair.

"I've never met Kurt until here at Thors," Juna insisted.

I met him at Valflame Palace.

Musse wanted to intervene, point out that she is lying through her teeth, but she kept quiet. She does not want to scare her away.

"I don't know who Milly is," Juna continued.

Mildine Juzalith de Cayenne. That's my real name. Kurt used to call me Milly. It's rather silly when I look back at it.

"I don't know anything about this promise."

That promise… cost me my freedom. When my uncle found out, he locked me in St. Astraia. I never saw Kurt ever again.

Her lips twitched.

Damn brat. This is all your fault.

"There, all better," Juna said.

She helped Musse stand up. She smiled at her.

"Does that answer all your questions?" Juna asked.

Musse frowned deeper.

"One day, Musse," she said. "Promise me, one day, that you'll tell me everything."

Juna giggled.

After her uncle got arrested for leading the Noble Alliance against the Emperor, she was finally free from St. Astraia. Her freedom was short, however, as Osborne now has enough political capital to abuse the nobility across the Empire.

After I put Osborne in his place, yes. I'll tell you all about it. If I tell you anything about the real me, or confirm what Kurt was telling you, I might end up dead tomorrow. Please be patient until then, and maybe, just maybe, we could look back today and laugh about it.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," Juna said instead.

Musse rolled her eyes. "Whatever," she said. She turned around. "I'm gonna go back and watch look for Millium. Who knows what trouble she's in now."

"You do that," Juna said as she watched her walk away. She waved goodbye.

She was honestly surprised that Kurt remembered her all this time. When the two met at the start of school, he never gave any indication that he did. She smiled.

You probably have a better poker face than I do. It's a rare occasion for me to get fooled.

Juna watched Musse walking away. At that point, a small fire lit in her eyes.

Don't worry, Juna. I'll make sure you two end up together. It's the least I could do for all the honesty you showed me up to this day.

She giggled and set off to find Kurt. She already has a plan.
