As Leandra and the others continued to practice on the ice there was a sudden Drake One alert. The ducks changed into their battle gear with just a touch of their chest pieces. Kendra looked at them sadly, but didn't say anything. As they reached the bottom of their base they looked at the Drake One to see it had picked up teleportation energy near some abandoned buildings. "Quick! To the migrator!" Wildwing said and ran to the migrator with the others. "I-I'll stay here and help you guys o-over the I-i-i- com units." Leandra stuttered out. Silently cursing herself for her stutter. "Are you sure girly girl?" Nosedive asked. She nodded and smiled at him. Even in the past he's looking out for her. Nosedive chased after the others and Duke looked back at Leandra before heading down to the migrator. After they headed out to check out the original teleportation energy Drake One picked up another teleportation energy closer to their base. So Leandra decided to check it out. As she got there she didn't notice Siege behind her. He's swung his tail around and hit Leandra on the back of the head. She fell to the ground unconscious. "Don't remember this duck being in the original group. Oh well. Lord Dragaunus will be pleased that I brought him a duck." Siege said and activated his teleporter. He teleported back to the Raptor with Leandra and held her up for Dragaunus to see. "I captured this duck my lord." He said trying to make himself look good in front of the ruler of the saurian race. "Well done Siege. I am most impressed." Dragaunus said and grabbed the female duck by her hair. He took her to the holding cells in his ship and put a cloth over her beak to act as a gag. He tied her hands behind her back as well. When he left he went to the deck of the ship and contacted the ducks in his computer. "Dragaunus!" Wildwing snapped when he saw the Saurian on the screen. "Where's Leandra?!" Nosedive asked. "Your friend is safe. For now. If you wanna save her go to the abandoned steel factory at midnight. Don't bring any weapons or she dies." And with that he had hung up.
As midnight came the ducks came to the steel factory and saw Leandra sitting on the ground looking at a dark figure behind her whom was pointing a gun at her head. She seemed to be glaring at the person. . ?fbid=134849781623995&id=100052969215586&st=14 She tried to say something, but the gag was muffling her words. Duke had slipped away unnoticed by the mysterious figure. He drew his saber quickly and waited for the right moment to strike. "Lower your weapons! Or I won't hesitate to kill the girl!" The mysterious figure said. "Hey! I know that voice! It's Viper!" Mallory snapped. She just wanted her little girl safe. Duke then rushed over and activated his saber. He held it against Viper's throat. "How's bout we make a deal. You let her go and I won't kill ya." Duke said while pressing his saber closer to Viper's neck. Viper gulped and released Leandra. He ran away, but not before cutting Leandra on the arm. . ?fbid=134849781623995&id=100052969215586&st=14 Leandra screamed at this from behind the gag. She fell to the floor trying to break free of her bonds. She finally broke her hands free and pressed against the profusely bleeding arm. "L-L-L-Leandra!" Tanya gasped. From came over and helped her to her feet. She then looked up at him with a small smile. She didn't say anything the whole time since she was attacked. Her arm was still bleeding profusely. Grin led her back to the aerowing where Tanya stitched her arm up and bandaged it. Leandra looked at Tanya, but didn't utter a word. "You ok princess?" Duke asked gently. Leandra shook her head and looked down. "What's wrong baby?" Mallory asked her. "I-I-I-I-I'm..." She started, but didn't finish. Her stutter was getting worse. When Wing landed the Aerowing everyone filed out. Leandra was the last one out of the Aerowing and was looking down at her boots. She went to her room and laid on her bed. There was a soft knock on her door and she went and answered it. It was Mallory. She came in and sat a bowl of soup on the nightstand for Leandra. When Leandra saw this she looked at Mallory with a slight smile. "I figured you might be hungry." Mallory said. She then sat down on the bed and Leandra sat next to her. She ate the soup slowly. When she finished she looked slightly sleepy. She lay down and Mallory rubbed her back. "This is a song my mother used to sing to me all the time when I was little...Sleep now, baby, sleep,Night is calling, full of dreams. Slow the midnight hours are creeping…and I,my loved one's watch am keeping…Cares are heavy,Set them free…and sleep now, baby, sleep." (A/N This is Faust's Lullaby and is used with full permission.
