"Mother, I can't believe you invited Mudblood Granger!" Draco yelled as soon as his mother came back from bringing Hermione back to her place "Oh Draco honestly be happy for once" his mother said he fumed angrily she turned to him and smirked "If I remember correctly you once had a crush on her" her eyes glimmered Draco stomped off to his room slamming the door Mrs Malfoy Chuckled at her son's childlike behavior

Hermione went through her closet pulling every single dress out she held up her pink one she had worn to the yule ball "Oh I can't wear this I'll stand out more than blend in" she threw it on the floor frustrated a knock came to her door she answered it and saw the youngest Weasley "Ginny!" Hermione exclaimed while hugging her friend Ginny hugged back "Haha what's up with you Hermione?" Ginny asked Hermione looked at her surprised "What makes you say that" she said they walked in Ginny laughed "Hermione I'm your friend and I can tell also every one of your dresses are on the floor so where are you going" she said raising her eyebrow Hermione looked at the pile of clothes and back at Ginny.

Ginny could never ever be fooled and when she wanted to know something she would find out "You can't tell Harry or Ron" Hermione said Ginny smiled "Now I gotta know" Ginny sat up straight listening Hermione sighed "Narcissa Malfoy invited me to a gathering and the thing is I have to be Draco Malfoy's date" Hermione paused and looked at her redhead friend whose jaw was dropped she continued "And so tomorrow night I'm going to Malfoy manor but I can't seem to find a good dress so I'll have to go shopping" Ginny smiled and stood up "Well then Hermione Jean Granger as much as I'm wondering why you'd ever agree to go with Malfoy I want to help you pick a dress" Hermione smiled and grabbed her purse and wand they left out the door

"How's Ron?" Hermione quietly asked Ginny frowned "He's ok...How are you though?" Ginny asked worried Hermione smiled weakly "Ron and I are total opposites we're not meant for each other. I just miss talking to him" she confessed Ginny nodded and they went into a muggle dress store "Ok what kind of dress are we looking for" Ginny asked practically skipping around to look at the dresses Hermione chuckled at her friends behavior "Something elegant but also not something that will stand out to much and no bright colors" Hermione said fingering through the racks

It had been 4 hours of trying on dresses and shoes till they found the right one the girls decided to go to the burrow after they dropped off Hermione's dress The girl collapsed on the couch "That took forever" Ginny exclaimed exasperated Hermione laughed "Your the one who said they weren't good enough" she pointed out the girls laughed "What's so funny" the girls looked behind them and saw Ron Hermione gulped "Hey Ron, me and Hermione just got back from shopping" Ginny said Ron refused to meet Hermione's eyes "Oh. Fun. I'm going out. See you later Ginny... Hermione…" Ron walked out of the burrow "Boys" Ginny said rolling her eyes the girls talked for hours till it was midnight Hermione agreed to let Ginny come over and help her get ready tomorrow

Hermione awoke the next morning to a knock at her door she opened the door and saw Harry "Hey Hermione, were you asleep?" He asked she let him in and she saw her hair in the mirror and laughed "I guess I'd be lying if I said I wasn't" she fixed her hair and made them tea. They sat at the kitchen table "What brings you here so early Harry?" Hermione asked Harry shrugged "Nothing really we haven't talked much and I wanted to stop by" he responded she looked at him spectically "Harry what is it?" She said Harry laughed "Truthfully Hermione I wanted to talk to you about how you're doing and if you heard about Ron In the paper" he said seriously she looked at him confused "Harry I'm completely fine but what's in the paper?" She asked he handed her the paper it read

Ronald Weasley engaged to Cho Chang

Ronald Weasley broke up with his friend Hermione Granger four weeks later and he announces his engagement to Cho Chang a lovely young lady who's much better than Hermione Granger "I had to go through hell but I finally found the girl I love" Ronald stated makes you wonder how evil Hermione Granger really is one thing for sure is she probably won't be invited to their wedding -Rita Skeeter

Hermione threw the paper across the room Harry looked at her worried "I know this is hard Hermione I know that you are upset that he moved on quicker" Harry tried to comfort her Hermione shook her head "It's fine Harry I don't care I'm happy for him and I'll move on too" she said smiling they talked a bit longer till Harry had to leave for work

Hermione cried for a while after he left but dried up her tears and went to work after getting ready herself she worked In the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures she loved her job she still got to help house elves.

she dived into her work a knock came to her office door "Come in" she called she didn't look up she heard the figure take a seat it was quiet for a few minutes "Do you always ignore your guests" she recognized Malfoy's voice "Only when it's you Malfoy" she retorted he came around and leaned on her desk beside her "Your so mean Granger" he said sarcastically Hermione chuckled "Says the former death eater who bullied everyone throughout every school year" she countered he gripped the desk and then she heard a sigh "Mudblood Granger never lets Anything go" he drawled Hermione gripped her pencil "Shut up Malfoy" she said through gritted teeth he put his hand on her chin and turned her face to face him

"Let's get one thing straight Granger. I want nothing to do with you or any other mudbloods so don't think we'll ever be friends"

he spat his grey eyes looked like a storm "Fine with me Ferret" she said smirking at his nickname remembering the time he was turned to a ferret he glared at her and walked off "Oh and Granger try to look at least a little descent not that you could look good at all" he walked out the door as Hermione threw her cup at the door it shattered "Stupid Slytherin" she yelled "I heard that" she heard him say back she growled

'Tonight is going to be miserable' she thought to herself

poor Hermione Draco's still a jerk lol. The next chapter will have some funny parts
