Bill Esquire ran down the halls of the hospital his wife Deidra sweating and screaming with him looking down at her.
"Dee focus on your breathing remember in and out in and out in and out in and out it'll ease the pain" Bill said as Deidra growled and stared into his eyes.
"Bill baby if I ever stop breathing you can show me how to breathe right now I just want this baby out it hurts so much" Deidra screamed trying to keep her voice down.
"Dee Lamaze isn't a hoax the coach said it's supposed to help ease the pain remember? I mean why would she say that if it doesn't work?"
"Bill I'm trying to push a watermelon through a very small hole right now it's not easy and you coaching me on how to breathe isn't helping".
"I'm just saying if the breathing doesn't work then why were we coached how to do it? I mean you keep saying it's useless but if it was then why-
A contraction came and Deidra squeezed hard on Bill's hand and he screamed in pain as Deidra did the same and Deidra locked eyes with Bill and said the one thing he wasn't expecting.
"Breathe Bill come on breathe we don't want you dying on us do we? Come on Bill sweetie breathe do as the Lamaze coach says and breathe. You think you're in pain try labor it's the worst pain you'll ever experience buddy boy".
Bill shook his hand in pain and grumbled what a grouch sitting next to her as Deidra just moaned in pain and Bill gave her a pitcher of ice chips.
"There now chew those they always made you feel better and hopefully this'll be over soon and we can name our boy or girl".
"OK Mrs. Long I can see the head so a couple more pushes and we'll be done with it. Ok now push Mrs. Long" the doctor said as Deidra pushed hard and screamed as a baby cried and the doctor held it in his hands and Bill fainted at the blood.
"It's a girl now Mrs. Long normally we let the father do this but he's passed out on my floor right now so would you like to do the honors?".
"Deidra cut the cord and saw the most beautiful green eyes she ever laid eyes on and through her happy tears she laughed and kissed the babies nose.
"Well little Savanah once daddy wakes up we'll come and see you. He can't stand the sight of blood but he can watch teens get hacked up in horror movies go fig" Deidra said as Savanah laughed and Deidra giggled with her vowing to never let her go.
Fifteen years later Deidra is gripping the arms of the couch Gone With a The Wind ending and the early birds chirping their song.
"That girl better have a good reason for being out all night I swear I never should have let her go. If I was still holding her in my hands she'd still be here".
The next movie The Breakfast Club was starting and Deidra looked at the clock and it said 6:59 and a really nervous look came over Deidra's face and the phone rang with her racing to it hoping it was Savanah.
"Hello? No Ginger I haven't seen her yet. Well how do you think I feel this is Savanah's thousandth time out all night Kylie has never done this before".
A nervous voice was on the other end of the phone and Deidra rubbed her head growling mumbling amateur and then she heard a bang in the dining room.
"Ginge I've got to go Madame Savanah's home and I bet either Kylie's with her or on her way home. I'll call you later to set up girls night".
Deidra slammed the cordless back on the charger and ran into the dining room to find Savanah with blonde hair and blue streaks in it because of her rebellious stage arguing with a window.
"How dare you trip me I should smash you for that. Don't you know everyone's asleep? Shhhhhh don't wake them up Mr. Glass and hole in the wall I fell through" Savanah slurred stumbling to the refrigerator and grabbing a beer can with Deidra grabbing it away from her.
"Young lady do you have any idea what time it is? I mean I've been up since 12:00 worried about your ass" Deidra screamed as Savanah smiled and wrapped her hands around Deidra.
"Yea It's 5:07 that's early mama maybe you should go to beddy bye I'll cook uhh cook umm cook that thing people cook in the morning for their families".
"Breakfast Rummy the word you're looking for is breakfast and you must be dumb to think it's 5:07 it's 7:05 and I watched the whole Gone With The Wind movie which is like a four or five hour movie.
"I was wondering why the sun was rising at 5:07 anyways yes snaps for mama I snap my fingers for you yes breakfast I'll cook breakfast".
"Girl I wouldn't trust you to microwave a hot dog right now. I can't believe you're this drunk. How much did you drink?"
Savanah giggled stumbling trying to convince Deidra she didn't drink as Deidra just shook her head and Savanah fell backwards a thing holding pans falling the pans crashing on the floor.
"Shhhhhhhhh people are asleeping breakfast cookers just tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe, tiptoe shhhhhhhh no more noises" Savanah said as Deidra stood in front of the stairs blocking Savanah from her room.
"Young lady I have questions and before you go to bed I'm getting them answered now where were you and before you lie remember I was up all night and no sleep for me makes me angrier than The Incredible Hulk.
"I went to Debbie's she was having this killer party and it lasted all night. I met a guy Trevor and he is the cutest thing e-e-e-e-e-e hold that thought".
Savanah ran for the bathroom and threw up Deidra shaking her head as upstairs Bill moaned and threw a pillow over his ears.
"OK so does Debbie not own a phone I know we do but does Debbie? If so how hard is it to say hello mom I'm at Debbie's house with Kylie who by the way is in as much trouble as you".
"If I called I knew you were going to flip out because you always flip out when I do fun things. I mean I'm tired of babysitting it's so uncool".
"And crashing into the dining room accusing a window of tripping you, knocking pans into the floor, and throwing up is cool?"
"Cooler than reading Frozen for the millionth time I mean phone it in Thea don't be normal like the other three year old's obsess over things like Trolls now there's a cool movie".
"OK question 2 where in that walnut sized brain did you decide to bring Kylie on this adventure? And so far you are not winning any truth points with me even if you are telling the truth.
"Kylie looked so bored studying so I tricked her tricky me I told her we'd go to McDonald's and Dairy Queen and she believed it the dope" Savanah said giggling.
"Dope there's a funny word dope who came up with the word dope anyways I bet it was a dope".
"Oh so you came up with that word huh dope? I mean Kylie is innocent but hanging with you is going to turn her into a felon".
A loud knock was on the door and Deidra ran to it and opened it to Ginger Foutley her hair standing up all a mess locked eyes with Savanah and she shoved Deidra out of the way.
"You did this to her she's in the bathroom puking and moaning begging me to take her to the hospital. You bitch you have no idea how worried I was about her and you don't even care because chances are you'll be at another person's house tomorrow doing the same thing" Ginger yelled slapping Savanah across the face Deidra letting it happen.
"Now you broke her slut and you better damn well tell me how to fix her or so help me God I'm not going to be your favorite person".
"She doesn't need a doctor she needs sleep keep a pot by her bed just like she has the flu after some sleep she'll feel much better" Savanah slurred as Bill walked downstairs seeing red marks on his daughters face.
"Sleep that's it sleep? She's not going to get any sleep this morning thanks to you and her perfect attendance award is gone because she is in no condition to go to school today".
"Well Dee if it's not the birds it's the kids that are waking me up so please tell me why you and Savanah are causing World War III out here?" Bill asked groggily as Savanah hugged him and he made a disgusted face smelling her breath.
"Savanah has decided to break curfew yet again and crash a party with Kylie and from the hours of 12:00Am to 7:00AM Ginger has been calling me all night" Deidra said as Ginger locked eyes with Savanah again.
"Until you clean up your act my daughter is off limits Savanah I mean it no mani pedi days, no sleepovers, no parties, no nothing until you can show me that you've changed".
Ginger stormed off as Ted walked in and he didn't look any happier than Ginger as he punched Savanah in the chest and she fell on the ground wheezing with Bill and Deidra just staring.
"You will not bring my daughter down with you Savanah I promise you that tonight is the last night you'll see her I fucking promise" Ted growled packing Kylie up and bringing her to the ER.
"Alright I know everyone's up so head to the kitchen and we'll all cook a nice breakfast then Rummy needs to get ready for school and we need to smooth things over with Ginger and Ted".
Kids were at the bottom of the stairs yawning and rubbing their eyes as Savana stumbled toward them Deidra grumbling Christ it's teenage Sandra all over again.
"The best thing guys is that Debbie Thornberry is the bestest friend ever she threw this rocking party and I got digits from so many guys my phone is low on memory" Savana said belching and Thea Bill and Deidra's youngest almost looked like she was going to .
"Yuck Sav what have you been doing your breath smells like death and so do your clothes. I mean do you know how to do laundry?" Thea asked about to throw up again.
"OK kids let's get a move on the bus is on the way and then daddy and I have grocery shopping to do" Deidra said as Bill passed Deidra the mail Savana stumbling into the kitchen.
"Let's see bill, bill, bill, you could win a million dollars, you've been pre-approved for a credit card, dish washing samples, circulars, and ohh a letter from John F Kennedy High School I wonder who goes there.
Bill stared hard at all his teenage girls and they all shrugged Savana with a little effort just waved her arm.
"So nobodies fessing up ok well Riley's out she's in Junior high, Thea's out she's not in school yet, Elliot's out he's in Elementary school, Jaycee could be a candidate but I think she goes to private school someone does we pay up the ass for it.
"Sharon, Adeline, Kendra, and Savana go there so it could be any one of them. I mean I can take an educated guess but I don't need to do that".
Bill opened the letter and turned a shade of red as he slammed the letter on the table Deidra snatching it and read it.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Long
Savana is hereby expelled from John F. Kennedy high school for drinking and drug use. We at John F Kennedy do not tolerate Savana's actions she even said Kylie Logan was her sister so we could call Kylie's mother Ginger to pick her up. Dee I know you grew up with Sandra and I also know Sandra never grew up. Savana will also not be invited back ever again I have had it up to here with her. I think home school is your best option Dee we grew up together and I know your background. I'm sorry about all of this but Savana needs to be taught and I think you can teach her. Signed

Deidra re read the letter and stared hard at Savana Bill doing the same thing Sharon, Adeline, and Kendra breathing a sigh of relief seeing it wasn't them.
"Savana Alice Esquire do you have any idea how much hell you unleashed onto yourself today? I mean first you get expelled for drinking and doing drugs in school, then you go to Debbie Thornberry's party staying out all night, and to top it all off you call Ginger to save you?"
"Ok, ok pipe down my head is killing me so can you maybe turn down the bass in your voice mother. I know I'm grounded and I also know I can get out of it so shut your trap" Savana said as all the kids and Bill gasped Deidra marching up to Savana.
"Young lady that headache and upset tummy is from your bad choices and my friend Sandra has a 24/7 upset tummy and headache it's called a hangover and is by no means my fault".
Savana moaned as Deidra locked eyes with her and knew a few punishments for Savana as Bill read a letter and dropped it in the trash a look of fear on his face as Deidra stared at him.
"I have to go to the police station Dee there's something I need to take care of there but believe when I get back Savana will not hear the end of this" Bill rushed off as Deidra and the other kids were completely in the dark.
At the San Dimas police station Bill walked past criminals all of them looking worse than the last Ted's dad now chief of police seeing Bill walk up.
"Hey Mr. Logan so I got your letter where is she? And what did or in her case didn't she do this time?"
"Ahh Bill follow me and you're in for a real doozy this time. We caught her in an abandoned apartment drinking and sleeping with guys at fifteen so we brought her in and she refuses to give me her mother's phone number".
Mr. Logan led Bill to holding cells and all's he heard was screaming coming from the girl Bill feared most even more than Deidra his daughter Emma.
"LET ME THE FUCK OUT I WASN'T BREAKING ANY LAWS I NEEDED A PLACE TO CRASH AND PARTY SO I FOUND ONE NOBODY WAS LIVING IN HOW IS THAT A CRIME?" Emma screamed as Bill regretted coming to pick her up.
"She's been loud ever since we picked her up please take her home and with all your kids maybe you can reform her".
Emma let out a bloodcurdling scream all the inmates holding their ears as Bill walked up to the cell and she ran up to the bars in dirty clothes, oily hair, a dirty complexion, and holes in her shoes knowing at once that she was saved.
"Daddy I knew you'd be here I just knew it now bail me out so I can run off again and live my life. I mean you are the pushover parent".
"Look Em I'm not bailing you out until you tell me why you aren't with your mother? I mean she has custody of you not me".
"She hates you and I hate her for hating you so as you can see it's a hate, hate cycle until I run off and find some mischief to mix myself in".
"Emma this needs to stop you need to stop getting in trouble. I mean wouldn't a nice warm house, three meals a day, unlimited snacks, and a family be nice?" Bill asked as Emma shook her head no.
"OK say I take her is there like an expert security system you can install or something? I mean you have got to be tired of arresting her time and time again".
"Sorry Bill we're not a security company we're a police force and arresting kids like her is our job. I mean she's not exactly kind to us she calls us pigs" Mr. Logan said as Emma giggled.
"OK fine I'll pay her bail and just hope she stays put. Now what is it so we can be on our way and this better not be another April Fools Prank".
Mr. Logan took a check Bill wrote and gave him Emma's things as she ran into his arms Bill nervous on how to tell Deidra that they gained not just another mouth to feed but another Savana.
When Bill got home he walked Emma to the kitchen to find Deidra on the phone with Ginger Emma plopping into a chair lighting a joint.
"Yea that all sounds amaze Ginge I'm just glad Kylie's ok and trust me she'll come around eventually she's just testing the waters".
"Emma put the joint out it's not the best first impression and Deidra is a first impression goddess" Bill said as Emma stamped the joint out and pulled out a beer can chugging it Deidra hanging up the phone and staring at the dirtiest girl she ever saw.
"Before you say another word Dee she had nowhere to go Rachel isn't answering and neither are any of the other family members that help take care of her".
"William how's about a sidebar Emma enjoy the beer and anything you can help yourself to besides wallets" Deidra said having to add no wallets knowing Emma well.
"Dee I hate when you use my full name I know I'm in trouble when you call me William. So what did I do this time?".
"Bill she can't stay here need I remind you we have a three year old, an eight year old, a bunch of pre-teens, tweens, and of course Savana have you thought how Savana and Emma may bond like super glue in doing bad things?"
"Dee you knew when you married me that I had a daughter and sooner or later she was going to need my help. I can't just turn my back on her. As for her and Savana maybe Savana and Emma could both use friends".
"Bill sweetheart work with me here ok? Savana and Emma are the same age and they are no doubt going to gang up against us. Ginger is Kylie's stepmother and there's a war brewing over there".
"Dee you are a great mother I'm sure Ginger is too but maybe she just needs lessons from you. I mean yea Savana's a handful but she's rebelling".
"So is Emma what did she do this time GTA? I mean it had to be big for Ted's dad to call you he never calls unless it's big".
"She took a couple friends to an abandoned apartment and partied, drank, did drugs, and got caught. I just want her to see she doesn't need to have that life she could chose a different path".
Deidra looked over at Emma who was devouring a pack of pop tarts and cereal and Bill looked hopeful at Deidra.
"Alright she can stay but there are rules and rule one young lady is no drugs or alcohol in this house. We have other kids to think about, rule 2 chores will be given now in this case you can be a Savana and never do chores and find odd jobs to make money or you can be a good kid and earn money by chores".
"Fine I have a job I'll make money that way now where's the shower pops and mops I'm dirtier than a pig and where am I sleeping?" Emma asked grabbing an army surplus duffle bag and Bill led her to the basement a furnished room down here with a TV, cable box, phone line, and queen sized bed.
"You also have your own bathroom and if you don't want the young kids bothering you I suggest you lock your door at night" Bill said giving Emma the grand tour.
Bill walked back upstairs as Emma turned the shower on as hot as it would go Deidra walking into the living room to find Savana passed out on the floor Thea watching cartoons.
"So how do we punish her Dee? I mean she needs it and I'm sure you can think of something. I mean you always do".
Deidra sneered getting an email and she just giggled showing Bill and they bith knew how to get even with Savana this time.
