"Harry," Harry was making breakfast when he heard his wife. "Can you come to the hall please?" Harry walked into their hallway and found his wife bracing herself on the wall with one hand and gripping her cane with the other. "I need help," she whispered, "I can't make it the rest of the way." Harry noticed how much his wife was shaking. It wasn't an uncommon side effect of her treatment, but it was always worse when she was tired or had overdone it. Harry took her hand from the wall and had her lean on him. "Thank you," Tanya whispered after Harry helped her to sit.

"I'm sorry darling. This is all my fault for taking you out and having you do too much yesterday."

"Harry, I told you I wanted to walk the second time. That was when we walked the furthest and I told you I didn't want to take shelter because I just wanted to get home. You have nothing to apologize for because you gave me a wonderful day."

"Okay, okay, are you hungry?"

"A little, something light. Sweetheart," Tanya looked at her hands, "I may need some help eating."

"Don't worry, I've got you," Harry said as he sat with Tanya's plate in front of him to help her eat.

"You really are the most wonderful man. I love you and thank you for taking such good care of me."

"I love you too, and you're welcome. It's easy to take care of an incredible wife such as yourself. You make it so easy and effortless." Tanya raised an eyebrow, "well, most of the time." Harry smiled as he and Tanya laughed.

Tanya went back to bed after breakfast and stayed there during lunch and dinner. "Darling, Bill just called and asked if we wanted to join him, Rosie, Donna, and Sam on Bill's boat tonight," Harry told his wife as he walked into their room.

"I don't know, honey. I'm so weak."

"We don't have to if you're not up to it, but I'll help you with whatever you need."

"Okay, I'd like to hang out with them actually." Harry helped his wife out of bed and helped her get ready.

Harry had a jeep now so that Tanya didn't have to walk everywhere. When they reached the dock, Sam and Bill came over to help with Tanya. Tanya wasn't even able to use her cane anymore. Harry ended up getting her a walker, but she mainly stayed in bed and used her wheelchair. Sam and Bill helped Tanya out of the jeep. Bill went back to the boat and Harry lifted his wife to carry her to the boat.

"Harry, I have life jackets under the seat there. She should probably wear one," Bill suggested.

"Thank you," Harry went to get the jacket and placed it on Tanya. Rosie and Donna put life jackets on so that Tanya didn't feel weird. Harry held Tanya most of the time because she was really tired. All of a sudden it started to get really windy and started thundering. "I need to help Bill and Sam. Will you be alright?" Tanya nodded. The men continued to try and sail the boat through the storm and back to the dock or at least shore.

"They're gonna need more help," Donna said.

"Go," Tanya whispered, "I'm fine right here." Tanya couldn't go down below because there was only a ladder and she could barely handle stairs. As the boat rocked, Tanya began to get sick. She gripped the railing and stood before throwing up over the side of the boat.

"Finally, thanks girls that really helped," Bill said.

The women turned to go back to Tanya, "oh my God!" Donna shrieked.

"What?" Sam rushed, as best as he could on the boat, to his wife. He noticed what she saw, or rather what she didn't see.

"Harry! Bill! I think Tanya went overboard!" Sam yelled after checking down below to see if somehow the brunette climbed down there.

Bill was finally able to dock and drop the anchor. He and Harry looked around and listened to see if they could hear anything.

"I need to take a small boat out there to find her," Harry frantically said.

"Harry, it's too dangerous. You can't go," Bill said.

"What if it was Rosie? Or Donna?" Harry said turning to Sam.

"I wouldn't want Bill to go searching for me and get himself killed," Rosie said.

"Same for me with Sam," Donna agreed. "Tanya has a life jacket on so hopefully she's alive and we just need to find her."

"Look we'll check on land and if we don't find her I will personally get a boat and go look for her," Bill said. They each looked into binoculars from different angles on the island into the water. They were just about to give up when Bill saw something on the beach. "I found her!" He ran towards the beach while everyone followed. When Bill reached Tanya, he flipped her over and undid her life jacket to begin CPR. After what felt like hours, Tanya began coughing up water. "Tanya, it's Bill. Can you hear me?"

Tanya's eyes fluttered open. Her vision was a bit blurry, "everything blurry," she quietly rasped.

"It's me, Bill," Bill tried again.

"Bill," Tanya was very quite.

"Are you hurt anywhere?"

"I don't think so. Where's Harry?"

"I'm right here love," Harry got down on the ground beside her and took her hand.

"I want to go home. So tired," Sam, Bill, and Harry helped Tanya up so that Harry could lift her more easily. He carried his wife back to their jeep. The others followed to help Harry with Tanya. They saw first hand all the work it took to take care of her and how wonderful Harry was at it.

"You do that every night, mate?" Bill asked once Harry was done.

"Yeah," Harry shrugged.

"And every day, all day?" Sam asked.

"Yeah," Harry answered as if it were so obvious.

"We should have been helping you more. I'm sorry," Sam said.

"I'm sorry too," Bill said and Rosie and Donna also apologized.

"You all don't have to be sorry. I would ask for help if I needed it. Strangely I haven't found myself wearing down. I make sure to take good care of myself too so that I can care for Tanya."

"Well if you ever need help, or a break, or anything at all just ask," Bill told his friend.

"Thank you, all of you it means a lot. Now I think I'll turn in for the night."

Everyone said good night and Harry went to bed.

"Harry," Tanya whispered.

"What do you need love?" Harry asked sweetly.

"Nothing, well I need to apologize for scaring you. I got sick and needed to throw up, but I knew no one would hear me. I couldn't wait and the boat was so rocky that I fell overboard."

"It wasn't your fault. I'm just grateful you're okay and I'm sorry, you were probably terrified."

"I was until I passed out. I love you."

Harry kissed Tanya good night, "I love you too."

Tanya stayed in bed the next day. Harry was making dinner when he heard a thud. He ran to find Tanya unconscious, on the floor.
"Tanya!" Harry yelled as he ran towards her, "baby wake up." Nothing, so he called Donna who called for paramedics. The ambulance took Tanya to the local hospital, but she was in such bad shape that they had to life flight her to the mainland. Once the doctor had examined her, he put Tanya on a list for a bone marrow transplant. Her treatments weren't working as well as they needed to be, and now she was on her last option.

"Harry, I want to go home," Tanya quietly spoke from her hospital bed.

"I know, but darling you can't. Not right now," Harry held Tanya's hand.

"It won't happen, Harry. They won't find a donor in time. I don't want to die here."

"I believe they will find someone in time and that you will have a longer life than you think."

"It's easy for you to say because you're sitting up in that chair while I lay in bed." Tanya also had pneumonia from the night before, so she was being treated for that too.

"Darling, if God forbid the time comes where they say there is nothing more they can do, I will take you home."

"Thank you," Tanya whispered as she fell asleep.
