The next day, the Bright children went to their parents to try and come up with something their mother could do with all of them.

"Now, we can't always plan on leaving the house in advance," Harry said, "I think it's important to come up with a few things in case she's not up to going out."

"Hey, you have that new boat," Flynn suggested.

"Yeah, I don't know if she'll like that. She's only been on a boat once since that night she went overboard."

"We could go during the day," Daphne said.

"I'll ask her about it," Harry wrote it down.

"I mean the only other thing I can think about is staying here and just hanging out," Eloise said.

"Yeah," Harry sighed, "I'll talk to her about the boat."

The kids left and Harry heard someone approaching, "Harry, did I just hear the kids?" Tanya asked as she walked towards him.

"What are you doing up? You should have called me to help you."

"I felt okay and I have my walker," Tanya said, "the kids?"

"Yeah, they were here for a bit. Why don't you sit?"

"What's wrong?"

"Oh, sorry, nothing is wrong. I am just concerned about you standing right now." Tanya rolled her eyes but sat anyway. Harry sat and put his arm around his wife, who then snuggled into his side.

"So, the children told me last night that they would like to come up with something we could all do together. Including you, and so we were going over some ideas."

"Oh, okay," Tanya was a bit surprised, "what did you come up with?"

"Well, only two things and one of them is what we already do most of the time. We came up with staying home and hanging out."

"What's the other one? You said there were two."

Harry hesitated for a moment, "taking the boat out for the day."

"Would we be back before night?"

"We could arrange that, and we would also come back at the first sign that bad weather was approaching."

"I guess we could try that," Tanya said not entirely sure.

"You know, it won't be like this forever," Harry tried to comfort his wife.

Tanya looked at her husband and smiled, "I know, but it's still frustrating as hell. Can I ask you a favor?"

"Of course."

"I was wondering if you would help me to try walking with my cane?"

"If you feel up to it. I can go get it now if you want."

"Thanks," Tanya smiled and Harry got up to go dig it out.

"Here you are darling," Harry said handing it to her. Harry grabbed onto Tanya's left arm while Tanya tried to push herself up. Her arm shook from the effort it took, but she made it. "You good?"

"A bit tired, but I still want to try."

"How about we try walking to the bedroom?"

"Smooth," Tanya joked. Harry held on tightly as he and Tanya walked from the living room to the bedroom. By the time they reached the bedroom, Tanya was ready for a nap.

"You did great, darling. If you want we could do this a little bit each day."

"Maybe," Tanya said as she drifted off to sleep.

Tanya had agreed to get on the boat with her family. It wasn't a sailboat, and the deck was flat. The couple made their way to the dock by their house. When the boat was in their sight, Tanya froze.

"Tanya," Harry saw the panicked expression on his wife's face, "Tanya!" She wasn't responding to Harry's voice. The kids were already on board, but they heard their father yell their mother's name. When they looked, they saw Harry standing in front of his wife. The kids got off the boat and walked down the dock.

"Dad," Sky said as they approached, "everything okay?"

"She just froze and she's not answering me," Harry said as he gripped his wife's arms. Harry looked back at his wife and noticed that she had snapped out of it. She whispered to Harry to have the children go back to the boat, and he did. "Darling, what happened?"

"I'm sorry," Tanya whispered, "I saw the boat and I don't know why I panicked. I've been on a boat since then."

"Why don't I tell the kids to take the boat out and take you home?"

"I'm afraid if I don't spend time with them when they want me to, that they'll shut me out again. Let's just go," Tanya and Harry started walking down the dock. Flynn and Sky helped their mother climb aboard and sit down. The agreement Harry made with the kids was that someone had to be with Tanya at all times.

"Harry, why don't you go swimming with the kids?" Tanya asked after all the Bright children got into the water.

"Tanya, I'm fine right here," Harry kissed his wife's temple.

The family headed back just before dinner. The kids went to go eat at the hotel and Harry took Tanya home.

The next day Tanya was told that her blood cell count was where the doctor wanted it to be. That she would continue to be monitored, but wouldn't have to go as frequently. Tanya was starting to regain some of her strength, but still needed a bit of help.

"Mum!" Daphne yelled when she walked into her parents' home.

Tanya walked over to her daughter, "hi sweetheart, what's up?"

"I know that you still aren't totally better, but I was wondering if you wanted to go have lunch with me at the hotel?"

"Sure," Tanya was a bit nervous walking to the hotel. She hadn't really walked that far yet. She was even nervous using her cane to help her.

Daphne could tell something was bothering her mother, "mum, stop for a moment."

"What?"

"Are you okay?"

"Why do you ask?" Tanya's daughter just stared at her, "okay, I haven't walked this far in a long time. I'm a bit nervous."

"Then hold onto me," Daphne and Tanya walked to the hotel together. Tanya was a bit tired when they arrived, but Daphne helped her mother to the closest table. "After, you can come to my room and take a nap if you want. It's down here."

"Thank you," Tanya was so tired of being tired.

After lunch, Daphne took her mother to her room and helped her to lie down.

"Mum, can I ask you something?"

"Of course," Tanya said from her daughter's bed.

"How young is too young to get married?"

"Are you and Fred?"

"We've talked about it."

"Do you want to get married?"

"I do, but I don't know if I want to right now."

"Take some time and think about it. You'll know when it's right."

It had been one year since Sky and Sophie's almost wedding. Today the couple got married for real. Tanya was almost completely recovered, but still growing her hair back. She was able to walk up to the chapel on her husband's arm and without her cane. The next day Fred and Daphne tied the knot.

"How are you feeling?" Harry asked his wife after they got in bed following Fred and Daphne's reception.

"Really good," Tanya said, "I'm tired, but not like before."

"That's great, darling," Harry said.

"Thank you, for taking such good care of me this past year. I know it couldn't have been easy."

"It was more difficult to see you suffer. I love you," Harry kissed his wife.

"I love you too."

It had been a difficult year, but the Bright's were stronger than ever. Harry kept his promise to Tanya when they first reconciled. She went through hell, but he loved her through it all.
