After about ten minutes, we're both panting heavily. I bury my face on her throat. I feel her soft and loving caresses on my shoulder. Her fingers from her other hand are going through my hair. I keep my eyes closed and smile. I could lay like this forever. I hear her happy sigh and I lift my head up. She turns her head a little so she can look into my eyes. I push myself up a little. Leaning on my elbow so I could let my fingers play with her hair as I look in her beautiful hazel eyes. She looks at my chin and let her fingers caress my goatee.

"I still think this should be gone. It doesn't fit you." I chuckle softly. She looks at my lips and let her thumb run over my lower lip. "I'll shave it off soon, or whenever I feel like shaving." She giggles about it as she looks back in my eyes. "Hear you, getting wild again." I roll my eyes and bend down. I need to feel her soft lips again. "You know that someone can find us here like this, right?" I bite my lip and peck her nose. She giggles. On that moment we hear dogs barking. Frances jumps a little and I turn my head.

Rosco is laying down on the grass, watching us. I see Bella sitting next to him. She moves her head a little when she sees me looking at her. "Hmm… we got an audience already." Frances looks at the dogs as well and giggles. I look at her with a teasing smile. "Let's hope they won't be telling everyone of what we did here." She whispers. That just punched me back to reality. I get off her and sit down. She pushes herself up on her elbows as she keeps looking at me. I never thought I would ever cheat. This is not a good thing. How do I tell this to Britney?

I look up and see her eyes. They twinkle happily. I feel my heart skipping a beat and in reaction I hold my breath. I thought I would feel truly guilty if I would ever cheat. She sees me thinking and push herself into a sitting position. Frances is my dream girl. I look at her body and I inhale deeply. My dream just came true. "Are you okay?" I look back in her eyes. She gives me a little smile. "I've cheated for the very first time in my life. I never thought I would ever cheat." She grabs my chin. "Do you regret it?" I think as I look at her lips. I don't feel any regret. "No."

"Do you love her?" I exhale deeply. "I thought I did…" "But?" "That was until I came back here, until I saw you again, Baby." "Then there's your answer." She pushes herself up, taking her slip and bra to put them back on. I keep sitting for a little while. Watching her getting dressed. I think about her reply. "What do you mean with that?" "You'll figure it out." She winks. I take my jeans as I stand up. She watches me as I put it on. I take my boots and put them on. I see her smile when I look at her. I smile back at her and give her a soft kiss. I look at the dogs with a smile.

"I need to go back. I think Britney is waiting for me to come back with Beebee." I walk to them and lift Bella up on my arms. I smile as she waggles her tail really fast. She wants to lick my face. "Let's get you back to the ranch, missy." Frances came closer and smiles. "You've let yourself be influenced by this old bastard." I point at Rosco. Bella barks once as if she wants to defend him. Frances giggles about it and strokes Bella's little head. She tries to lick Frances' hand. "I'll walk with you. I want to check on my son anyway." I look at her with a smile.

We walk back slowly while we're talking. "Can you imagine that this little one used to really hate me?" I look at Bella. Rosco is walking next to me, having his tongue out. Frances smiles and she looks at Bella again. "She's cute, and Rosco really seems to like her." I look at Rosco with a smile. "I think he'll get to a hundred years old." Frances starts to giggle. "That's funny. Will and Ben both say that Rosco is extremely old for his breed." I look at her face. She sees my eyes and smiles back at me.

"Do you miss Will?" She didn't reply immediately. I look in front of me as we turn left at the crossroad. "I thought I would." I look at her again and start to frown. "I know you told me the short version, but there's more, isn't there?" She inhales deeply. "I thought we had a connection. For me, the spark didn't came at the first date. I actually didn't want to go on a date with him in first place. My father had convinced me to go on a date with him. He thought it would be good for me." I keep listening while I carry Bella like a baby. I look at her and she has her eyes closed. I look back at Frances. "I agreed to go on a date with him. Believe me, he was sweet, funny and even romantic." I chuckle. I can't imagine that Will Tyler has a funny side, or a romantic side. Frances looks at me. She knows what I'm thinking.

"After about a year of dating, he popped the question. I said yes and about ten months into our marriage Sean got born." I look at her face with a smile. She sees my smile. I see her giving me that smile again. "He was actually still busy with his study to become a vet when we married. He wanted to specialize himself in dental care for pets." "Does that really exists?" She giggles. "It really does. When Sean was about four. Will was finally done with his study. He started working at his father's company." I nod as I listen to her story. She inhales deeply.

"Ben has always wished that Will would take over his company. I told Will he should take over, because he would have stability, and he didn't had to start from scratch." "Taking over a good and stable company with a wide range of customers, who doesn't want that?" She smiles. She hooks her arm with mine. "Will didn't, he always complained how boring it was here in Pampa. He wanted to travel the world, but he couldn't do that because we got Sean." Her other hand lays on my upper arm. It feels nice to walk like this with her and just talk.

"Sean adored his father, he truly looked up to him and he wanted to become a vet too." I look at her face. I see her concern. "Sean was almost nine when Will got an offer from a veterinarian company in LA. Where he could focus on the dental care. It was his dream, plus they would pay him royally, give him a house and a car. Ben never could compete against that offer, and Will knew that." "You told me he took the offer without talking to you first." She nods. "He first told them he needed time to think, so they gave him a week. I could see that something had changed. I asked him several times what was going on…" She pauses for a moment.

"Every time he told me that nothing was going on." She inhales deeply. I see her pushing her frustrations back. "On an evening, after I had a real busy day, he came home. Sean wanted to ask him if he wanted to go with him to school for bring your parent to school day." I lean in and give her a kiss on her cheek. She looks in my eyes with a smile. "I was truly tired that day. Sean was anxiously waiting for him to be back. Will sat down at the table, and I gave him his food. When I sat down, he didn't ate, he was just sitting there, looking at me. I asked him what was going on, and on that moment, he told me about the offer, that they gave him a week to think but that he already had accepted the offer."

"I'm so sorry for you and Sean." I whisper. We stand still near the edge of the woods. "Sean burst out into tears. It broke my heart. Will told him he couldn't go to school with him, because he was going to move to LA that same week. Sean kept yelling how much he hated his father." She sniffs and quickly rubs a tear away. I can see this is a sensitive subject for her to talk about. "You don't have to go on if you don't want to." I whisper. She lays her hand on my cheek. "You're sweet, Johnny, but this is the first time I tell someone the long version of the story… and I want to."

I give her a nod that I understood. "I asked him how he wanted to do this with his family. He tried to convince me to move with him." She snorts when she thinks about that conversation. "I'd told him often that I don't want to leave Pampa. He knows I love it here. I've got my life and company here, but he kept on pressuring me." I turn to her and she looks at Bella. "Then he said that we could try the long-distance relationship thing." "Long-distance relationships suck." She only nods at that. "I really wanted to try to make it work, especially for my son. But it went from bad to worse." She looks up in my eyes. "He was there for about a month when he told me he had met someone."

I see a tear appearing again. I move Bella on one arm, so I could lay my hand on her cheek. I let my thumb stroke her tear away. She sniffs and tries to give me a little smile. I can see this is really painful for her. I try not to think that I just had cheated on Britney and how it would make her feel. "He came home one day. Sean thought he came to visit us. He was happy to see his father again. His happiness died when he saw his father coming with his new girlfriend and with the divorce papers. He didn't even told me he wanted to divorce, but he wanted me to sign the papers." She burst out and I pull her against me, she presses her face against my chest.

"It must've been really painful for you." She looks up at my face. I lean in and give her a soft kiss. She grabs my face and kisses me back. "Yes, it was. I've been crying for days… until I realized he wasn't worth my tears. The pain of the divorce wasn't actually the worse pain I got from the situation." She says. "What was it then?" "That he came her with his new girlfriend. It was like it was a totally normal thing to do. He said she wanted to meet me, and she wanted to meet our son. They were together for like two weeks or something. She then started to treat my son as if he's her own son, and that in my house, in my presence. Can you believe that?" I frown, that's a disgusting thing to do.

"Believe me, Johnny, I hate that woman with every bit of my body. I don't hate people quickly, but I really hate her." She says with her jaws locked. I see her getting angry. "Hey, hey…" I whisper. "It's all in the past now. I'm sorry you had to go through this, Baby, you deserve better." I give her a kiss on her head. She grabs me into her embrace and lays her cheek on my chest. I can feel her hand caressing my lower back softly. "Sean didn't want to visit his father in LA. He didn't want to see his father at all anymore. Trying to reason with him took an exceedingly long time. The court decided that Will has the right to have Sean during a few school breaks and three weeks in summer holiday."

"That's not much." She nods in agreement. "I know, but letting him fly over to LA every other weekend was no option. Besides, he didn't even want to. Will gets him with Halloween, Spring break and the three weeks in summer." I push some hair behind her ear. She inhales deeply and let me go. "He came back the same day as my son and I." I whisper. "I know, because his father and his stepmother were getting on his nerves, he actually had two more weeks with his father. He complained about it because he normally goes after the game events from your parents. I had told him to talk to his father about it first before coming back home." "How did Will react?" She snorts and shakes her head. "He didn't care."

"I'm so sorry for you." I want to call Will all sorts of names. I guess she could see it on my face because she pulls me in and starts to kiss me. I close my eyes and kiss her back. She stops the kiss and smiles. "Don't be sorry. I've realized that I'm actually glad that I got divorced from him." "Really?" She nods. "Will can be really possessive. I found that extremely annoying. He also knows about my feelings for you. He was always comparing himself with you. He always made a stupid comment about it when we had a discussion, or even after sex. It wasn't funny anymore." My eyebrows disappear behind my hair. She starts to giggle. "I think the whole town knows about what we feel for each other." I whisper.

"That's so true." I chuckle, she giggles a little. "Many of my patients are asking me when I finally take that step to tell you what I feel." I look in her eyes. I smile and give her a little kiss. She bites her lip. "Let's go, before they start looking for me." I whisper. She giggles. I take Bella on both my arms again as we walk out of the woods. Frances sees my tent. "Is that your old tent?" "Yeah, I slept in it last night. You're welcome to join me." She giggles as she rolls her eyes. I watch the boys playing with the ball. I see Jack playing along with them. Frances watches them as well. "You don't have to be jealous about Jack by the way." I look at her. "Why not?"

"Well, after that homecoming dance, all he was trying to do was to make you jealous. He only came to me, giving me attention, whenever you were around. Honestly, it was seriously frustrating. I told him not to be such an asshole." I start to chuckle. Though I did became curious. "So… you never dated him? Or did anything else with him?" She rolls her eyes at me and gently pats my upper arm a few times. "Your cousin is a sweet man, but he's a player. I'm going to my son." She looks in my eyes. I give her a little nod with a smile. I watch her walking to the boys. I walk on to the house.

I look at Bella on my arms. She's waggling her tail. Mom came outside and sees me coming. I look up at her with a smile. Rosco went to lay down on the porch. "Something has changed." "I'm still the same, ma." I put Bella down. She barks and went to Rosco. She lays herself down between his front legs and he lays his head over her. Mom and I look at them with a smile. "Those two are inseparable." Mom says with a chuckle. "I'm going to take a shower." She looks at my face again. "Yeah, something has definitely changed. I will discover why and what." I roll my eyes as I went inside. I wonder where Britney is at as I don't see her around the house.

I went to my room and open the door. My eyebrows go up as I see how messy the room is. Some of my things are broken. I slowly walk inside as I look around. I see that my pictures are ripped. I kneel and take a few pictures. I feel the anger boiling inside of me. These pictures have always been precious to me. I try to push the anger away and take a deep breath. I lay the ripped pictures on the desk and turn to look for my suitcase when I accidently pushed something off the desk. I look at the floor and see it's a medicine bottle. I pick it up and look at the label. I start to frown as I think. How did Britney got these pills?

I think about what Frances told me yesterday. I need to show this to her. Maybe she can explain more about what these pills do. I just need to find the right moment to do this because I need to be alone with Frances. I look in my suitcase. I'll keep the bottle with me, but now I need a shower. I take my other old jeans, laying it down on the bed. I put the bottle in one of the pockets. I see my old favorite shirt. I smile as I take it and lay it down on top of my jeans. I take my toiletries and went to the bathroom. I look in the mirror. I watch my face and my goatee, that actually now has turned into a beard. I inhale deeply, I still don't feel like shaving. I know I should, I know my family and Frances wants me to shave, but I just don't feel like doing it just yet. I really can't be bothered. I step in the shower.
