*Three days later...*

I am running out of food and I still can't find Jii's place. This batch is useless because of its area limit. Ughhh... I shouldn't have been so excited.

While roaming by the broadcasting station, a huge news went on the screen on the top of the building. It reads... Kaito Kid revival after eight years... KAITO! I SHALL GO TO THE MUSEUM TONIGHT AND WAIT FOR JII AND YOU! HAHAHAHAHA! KAITO! I'M COMING FOR YOU SO BE GOOD BOY AND STAY AT THE MUSEUM!

When I finally arrive at the museum, it is already night. Police and helicopters swarm the place like a bunch of mosquitoes. I need to find a way to get up there... And by 'there', I mean the roof. After circling the museum over five times, all the entrances are blocked and the windows are waaaayy to high. Now how am I supposed to get in? Or do I wait outside! I shall wait outside. Jii or Kaito is bound to disguise themselves as a policeman during the escape. It's just a matter of staring at the faces of police... wait... that wouldn't help... Kaito is a master at disguise... Oh never mind! I've got this. I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO STALK JII ANYMORE! I COULD JUST FOLLOW INSPECTOR NAKAMORI HOME! I'M SUCH A GENIUS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! KAITO! YOU AIN'T GETTING AWAY FROM ME NOW!

I find the front entrance and sit right next to it. I raise my little neck upwards and lock my little eyes on the face of every single person that walked in and out of the museum. Half an hour had passed. My patience level is dropping low. Not to mention that my patience was already very low when it comes to meeting with Kaito. My patience is dropping close to zero every ticking second. When the patience meter hits zero, I scream, "NAKAMORI KEIBU(INSPECTOR), KAITO KID IS SPOTTED OUTSIDE THE MUSEUM!"

Inspector Nakamori along with a bunch of police rushes outside to see. But only to realize that it is a false alarm. Using the feet of the police to cover myself, I squeeze past the entrance and follow Nakamori up the elevator to the place of Kaito's heist. Perfect. Since I can't follow Kaito on a hang glider, I will have to slip past the security and follow Nakamori everywhere. And that means, I'll be able to follow him home and then all I have to do is find the Kuroba house next to his. HAHAHAHAHA SUCH A GENIUS! However, being around sweaty and smelly feet is not the most exciting part of stalking Nakamori. Sigh... It's all worth it when I get to see Kaito.

After giving up on chasing Kaito, Nakamori decides to take a taxi home. FINALLY! THIS IS THE MOST EXCITING PART OF MY LIFE EVER SINCE I BECAME A CAT! But there's just one thing between me and Kaito now. How am I suppose to follow a taxi... Suddenly, an idea pops into my tiny head. Under the taxi. When Nakamori waves to get a taxi, I sneak up behind the taxi. When the yellow car comes to a complete stop, I quickly dash under it and find something to grip onto. The door slams, signaling Nakamori is inside the car and the car is ready to start anytime. It means if I try to let go the tiniest bit, I'm a goner. Dead for sure. I grip onto the car's oily and dusty part with all my might. I wrap my legs and arms around it. I curl my tail as high as it can be. I do not want to lose a tail then die from the loss of blood or infection. The taxi puffs some smoke at the end and starts to move at an unbelievable speed! Okay, I'm exaggerating. But it is fast for a tiny kitten like me. The wind hits the top of my head and the ground is nothing but a blur of cemented gray color. Hope. This. Car. Would. Stop. Soon. Cant. Hang. On. My claws start make deep scratches on the bottom of the car. I'm sliding backward. Screeches can be heard coming from my claws. I can't hang on any longer. WHEN ARE WE GONNA BE THERE! I'M GONNA DIE! KAITO! STOP THIS CAR! A few seconds later, I am only hanging onto the edge of the taxi with my tiny paws. My legs are already floating in the thin air like a kite.

The end people.

I will not able to see my Kaito.

Goodbye.

Just stop reading.

Because this is the end of the story.

Or not.

The yellow car slows down and eventually comes to a stop. I'M SAVED! IT SEEMS KAITO AND I ARE DESTINED TO MEET EACH OTHER! I let go of the car and finds myself in front of houses. Nakamori comes out of the taxi, after paying the driver and walks into one of the houses. I look at the name tag on the wall. I stare at it. After what seems like forever, the name tag turns into the word "Nakamori." House confirmed. Now I just have to look at the houses on the right and on the left to find Kaito's house. Kaito's house should say Kuroba... I walk towards the house on the right and stare at the name tag. But there was no need to stare at it. I recognized the two characters. It says Kuroba no doubt. NOW! I SHALL MAKE A PLAN FOR KAITO TO ADOPT ME! I HAVE MY ADVANTAGES AS A CUTE KITTEN! PLEASE OBSERVE MY GRAND APPEARANCE! HOLY CRAP! I THINK I'M TOO EXCITED! I FEEL LIKE I CAN'T BREATHE! CALM DOWN! OR ELSE I'M GONNA DIE FROM HEART ATTACK!

*one hour later*

I. CAN'T. BREATHE.

Thud. I lay flat down in front of Kaito's door, unconscious.

The morning dew replaces the night breeze. I'm woken up by a familiar voice, "What is this?"

It is a very familiar voice. A voice that makes my heart pound. A voice that I want to be woken up by every morning and put to sleep by every night. It is the voice of Kaito. More specifically, Kuroba Kaito.

"A gray kitten in front of my doorsteps? Are you okay?" He asks with concern.

He gently picks me up in his big and warm hands. Kaito cradles me in his arms when we go back inside his house.

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I'M INSIDE KAITO'S HOUSE! IT'S KAITO'S HOUSE! IT'S KAITO'S HOUSE! OMG! OMG! I MIGHT FAINT AGAIN!

I slowly open my eyes to take a peek. Kaito's face is so close. I'm against his broad chest. I can hear his heartbeat. I could sense his heavy breathing on my whiskers. I can smell him. Okay, that's it. I can't handle this anymore.

A warm red liquid drips from my nose and down the side of my mouth. Yes. It's a horrible case of nosebleed.

This sends Kaito into a panic, "What did I do? Did I hurt you? Are you hurt? Sit here, let me get ice!"

He cautiously put me down on the couch and hurries for the fridge. I look around. Kaito's house is neat and spacious. This feels comfortable. When Kaito hurries back with a small ice pack and a box of tissues. He lays me on his laps and lightly sets the ice pack on my nose bridge. Once the bleeding stopped, he wipes away the half-dried blood.

"Kitty, you need a bath."

After saying that, he throws away the ice pack and bloody tissues and carries me to the bathroom.

Kaito's bathroom isn't too big and isn't too small. It is just right.

He carefully tests the temperature of the water and plugs the sink so water doesn't escape. He carefully places me into the water and when I'm completely in the water, Kaito wears a surprised expression.

"Aren't cats afraid of water because their fur gets damp and cold?"

But I am not a cat... Maybe I can't argue with that right now. He reaches his fingers into my sticky dirty fur and massages it until the dirt comes off. I think my face is completely red by now. Not because of the warm water. My fur is also oily because of the taxi so Kaito took extra care in cleaning it. To be honest, I'm surprised Kaito even let me sit on his clean couch earlier. After thoroughly cleaning my fur, Kaito combs my fur gently to get rid of any excess dirt. Kaito's nice... When I'm completely clean, he wraps me in a towel. He then gently cleans every corner of my face with a damp towel. Yes. I just stared at him throughout the entire process that was about at least half an hour. I just can't help it. He puts away the damp towel and starts to rub my fur dry to his best ability. When he is rubbing my belly, he suddenly says out of nowhere, "a girl huh?"

I quickly flip around and hide my face under the towel.

"Aww, kitty is embarrassed. So cute." He says with a chuckle.

I admit his comment with a tiny meow.

"It's okay, we will be living together if no one reports a missing kitty. Even if they do ask for a missing kitty, I might as well go to their to steal you back if I miss having you around."

I blush even more under the towel. I'm pretty sure all my boiling blood is on my face. KAITO LIKE ME! HE GONNA STEAL ME BACK! I'M SO HAPPY! BYE CONAN! CAUSE EVEN IF I GO BACK, KAITO IS GOING TO COME TO GET ME!

"We need to treat some of your old wounds. Just what exactly have you been through? A deep slash on your face, scratches all over, and damaged nails."

I have a broken bone too actually. It's just that it healed pretty quick when I slept for several days. He gently puts me back onto the couch after drying my fur and starts treating my wounds with extra care when he found the first aid kit. With his every touch of the wounds, he reads my expression and searches for signs of any pain while he applies the medication. When he's done, he puts away the kit in the cabinet.

"Now, why don't we go get you some food?" Kaito asks as he brings me to the fridge.

To be honest, Kaito's fridge is pretty empty. I can't blame him for this because his mom is out. You can't eat much when you are by yourself. Kaito scans the fridge for something I can eat. His hand reaches for a milk carton. Milk? Again? He gets a bowl from the dishes and pours milk into it. Yes. Milk again. I wonder how many meals of milk I've been having. Sigh. He thinks I'm a cat so it's right for him to feed me milk. He sets me next to the bowl of milk. I refuse to drink it.

"Is it too cold for you?" Kaito picks up the milk, microwaves it, and tries the temperature of it before offering it to me again. "Is it better now?" he questions as he sets the milk in front of me. I ignored it. I'm not much of a milk person to begin with. Now I'm drinking a lot of milk. I've had enough. Sorry for being picky, but milk for every meal? No thanks. Kaito is now concerned about why I'm not drinking.

"Are you sick? Maybe I should take you to the vet right now..."

"meow (NO)"

(* parentheses mean actual meaning of that meow)

I walk to the fridge and pats it with my right paw, indicating that I want to open it.

Kaito understands immediately and opens the fridge, "we have a very picky cat here."

Says the one who doesn't like fish. I find a jar of peanut butter on the very bottom shelf along with some bread. I use my little teeth to drag the sliced bread out of the shelf and pats my paw on the peanut butter jar.

Kaito takes the peanut butter and bread and starts to make me a sandwich. Just what I wanted. He then replaces the milk with the sandwich. YES! NO MORE MILK.

"I never knew cats like to eat peanut butter sandwiches... And you seem to know a lot of stuff besides being a normal cat."

I do know a lot of stuff. I can even help you do homework, although my grades are not that good. Kaito makes a sandwich for himself and drinks the milk that was meant for me.

When we are done eating, Kaito cleans the dishes and washes the cups. This is great. No more chores as a cat. Kaito dries the last dishes and puts the last cup in the cupboard. He turns to me and softly says, "since you will be staying, let's go get you some supplies like a bowl, collar, and litter box."

Kaito, you're forgetting something, I'm not a dog. I don't think I need a collar. I'm not a cat so I don't need the litter box either.

When Kaito bends down to pick me up for the pet shop, I run out of his grasp. I really want to be in those hands and arms twenty-four seven though. I run straight back to the bathroom and show him that I know how to use the toilet. There's no way I'm gonna use a litter box. When the toilet button is pressed and the water forms a tornado down the hole, Kaito looks at me with his eyes wide open.

"meow(See. I don't need the litter box that you are talking about. I am a civilized cat.)"

"I guess that means I won't need to buy you a litter box... But you still need your collar and bowl. I don't want you to go wandering and then some other person picks you up and takes you home thinking that you are stray" he says as he scratches his blushing face with his index finger.

Kaito... HE'S MARKING ME! HE LIKES ME! OMG! HE DOESN'T WANT TO LET ME GO! HE'S ALREADY LETTING ME SETTLE! THIS IS EASIER THAN PLANNED! KAITO, IF YOU WANT, I WILL BE YOURS AND YOURS ONLY!

Kaito gently picks me up and settles me on his head. He grabs his keys, puts on his shoes, and goes out the door.

I'M ON KAITO'S HEAD! MY KAITO'S SHAMPOO SMELLS SO GOOD! HIS HAIR IS SO FLUFFY! IT'S THE PERFECT BED!

I face down with my fours wide open and bury my head into Kaito's fluffy hair. Just when we are out the door, Aoko is in the doorway. She immediately sees me and comments on how cute I am and Kaito agrees with her comment. He hands me over for Aoko to see. Love rival spotted. I want to go back to my Kaito's hair. She's evil. I was enjoying my time with Kaito. Alone. Third wheel. I wriggle out of her grasp and lands perfectly on the ground. I walk over to Kaito's feet and rub my head against his feet, indicating, I want him to hold me instead.

"Sorry Aoko, It seems like Shiro doesn't like you."

KAITO NAMED ME SHIRO! SUCH A BEAUTIFUL NAME! A BEAUTIFUL PERSON GIVES BEAUTIFUL NAMES.

"I know," says Aoko with a frown. "Oh, I was going to tell you that I- I came to see if you were free. But now it seems like you are going out with Shiro."

Aoko definitely had other plans with Kaito. How do I know? Woman's instincts.

"Yeah, we have to go buy some supplies. Want to come along?"

I give Aoko a glare, imitating Ai as best as I can. I see her shiver a bit. Success. She quickly replies a "no" and walks away in the opposite direction. Victory. I guess I am a cat after all since I'm marking my territory.
