At this point, the crew worried for Franky. He hadn't left his workshop in days. Something was bothering him, they could tell. Whenever he did leave his Workshop, it was either to use the restroom or get Cola, then back again. Sure, Franky was a busy guy, but never like this. Everytime any of the Crew tried to talk to him, he'd nod and go back to inventing. He seemed especially distant toward Robin. Even Robin herself was worried. That's when you know something was wrong...
After a while, the crew got together and decided that one of them needed to go and talk to him. In the end, they decided that Usopp should be the one to go and talk to him. Franky had a close relationship with him, almost like Father and Son. Usopp easily agreed. They would've had Robin talk to him instead, but he seemed especially nervous around her. It wasn't noticeable at first, but Robin looked a bit disappointed and saddened by this.
Usopp entered the Workshop, slowly opening the door.
"Fr-Franky...?" He said.
The Workshop was a total mess. There were empty Cola bottles, Inventions, Crumbled up Blueprints, and Papers everywhere. Usopp looked to see Franky a mess. He grabbed his head in frustration. He sat in his chair.
"Damnit!!! I just can't figure it out!!!" He yelled angrily, making Usopp flinch.
That's when he noticed Usopp, looking up at him.
"Huh? Usopp Bro? What're you doing here? Sorry, didn't mean to scare you...just...frustrated." He says.
"Yeah. I can tell..." Usopp says, sitting next to the Blue Haired Cyborg. "What's wrong Franky? What's bothering you?" Usopp asks, putting his hand on Franky's huge ball of a shoulder.
"Everyone's worried about you. You haven't left your workshop in days. Sure, you've had projects in the past that take up your time, but never this bad. We can all tell something's bothering you. Just tell me what's wrong. We're Bros, right?" Usopp smiles. Franky cracks a small smile in response, sighing.
"Alright. I'll tell you. Just promise not to tell anyone, alright?" He says.
"Promise." Usopp replied. Franky leaned back, rubbing his head.
"For a while now...like a SUPER long time...I've... been in love with Robin." He says. "Ever since Ennies Lobby...I've just fallen for her so much. Her eyes. Her long flowing hair. Her beautiful nose. Everything..." He says. "But really, I love her personality. How she never gives up. Before, she would rather die for her friends. But after Ennies Lobby, I see life in those big blue eyes, determined to accomplish her dreams. It's just so...beautiful." He smiles, sighing. "I've wanted to tell her for a long time, but I either never had the chance to or the courage to. But after Dressrosa, I saw how injured she was. That damn flag guy tore her back to shreds, not to mention she got turned into a toy and I forgot about her! I can't even imagine that! How could I forget about Robin?!?! I owe you a lot, Usopp bro." He says.
Usopp just sweat drops, laughing as he rubs the back of his neck.
"Hehe! It was nothing!" He states.
"But anyway, Dressrosa was a wake up call. I needed to tell Robin how I really feel. Otherwise I might never get the chance to. The New World is a SUPER dangerous place. Robin could end up more hurt again or worse..." He didn't even want to think about that. "So for the past few days, I've been trying to come up with ways to tell her how I feel. But nothings working!!!" He grabbed his head in frustration again. "I've come up with various Plans and Inventions, but they all end up worthless!" He puts his head on the desk, groaning.
Usopp took a bit to process all of this. He had to say, it wasn't all that hard to figure out. How he was trying to impress Robin all the time, carrying her with the General Franky, etc. But here Franky was, telling him all this. He grinned, sniffling his long nose.
"That's all?!?! HAHAHA!" Usopp laughed, which made Franky raise an eyebrow. "Listen Franky, You don't need Fancy Inventions or plans to tell Robin how you feel! You're Franky! The most SUPER Cyborg in the world! You do it the Franky way! The SUPER way! Just be you, you don't need a plan! Trust me!" He gives a thumbs up. "Captain Usopp says give it your all! Do what you think is best, but don't overthink it! If you like Robin, then tell her in your own SUPER awesome way!" He says.
Franky was dumbfounded by this, blinking a bit. He then processed what he said, finally getting it.
"You're right! You're SUPER right! I'll just tell her my way! Not with some stupid plan or Random Invention!" He says. "I got it! Thanks Usopp, you're the best!" He says, getting up and getting ready.
Usopp just watched Franky, smiling.
He was glad he was able to help his Friend.
