Kaito quickly opens the door and closes it before I can squeeze in through the opening. I beat on the door with all my might, hoping that he would open it.

"Meeeeooooooowwww...Meowww...Meow! (Kaaaitooo, Let me in!)"

"GO AWAY!" He screams from behind the door.

No. I am not giving up that easily. Go away, my a**. I know you want me to come back. I am not leaving you again. I go out to the sidewalk and find a tree that can lead me to one of the windows. The first tree I'll ever climb, HERE I COME! FOR KAITO AND KAITO ONLY! I dig my tiny nails into the bark and inch my way for- upward.

After climbing for some time, I can see one thick branch that leads me directly to one of the open windows. Slowly, I place my front paw on the branch, then my back foot. My four paws start to jiggle like crazy. You know readers, I have forgotten something important. I AM SCARED OF HEIGHTS! NOT TO MENTION HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A CAT THAT GOES UP ON A TREE AND COMES BACK DOWN THEMSELVES! THEY GET STUCK. Okay. I'm stuck. I need to face the truth. Kaito can you come help me... Okay, he's not going to hear me, ten feet off the ground. I need to free myself. I just need to not look down and things will be fine. I wriggle my left foot forward, right foot forward, left, right, left, right... aaannnd... HUALA! I AM HERE! I squeeze through the windowsill and climb down the furniture to the front door where Kaito sits. He is sitting in front of the door with his back leaning against it.

I hide behind one of the furniture and observe him. He suddenly gets up, opens the door, and yells, "Shiro!"

He notices that his little white kitten is not there anymore and he sadly returns to his house.

Kaito, when you want someone to be by your side, your words need to match your feelings. Maybe, I'll forgive you this time, "Meow! (Here!)"

Kaito looks at me in shock again. I know I look terrible at this moment. I have leaves on my fur and wood pieces in my claws. Not quite a clean kitten.

He runs to me and scoops me into his arms. I snuggle my head into his chest and take a biiiiggg sniff. Kaito smell. Dee-licious.

He pulls me away from him and holds me in the front to face him.

"Why are you here? How did you even get in here?"

"Meow? (I have my ways?)"

"Whatever. None of that matters anymore. Okaeri, Shiro."

"Meow! (Tadaima, Kaito!)"

"Seems like this kitten needs her bath."

Yes. I terribly need a bath at this point. I want a bath and some sandwiches.

"Meow (Kaito)... Meooow (I want sandwiches!)"

I want the ones that Amuro makes down at Cafe Poirot. Ham soaked in miso sauce and beautiful crispy lettuce... Sounds like the ideal meal for a kitten like me!

Kaito picks me up in his arms and walks over to the bathtub already filled with warm water.

You know readers. Kaito giving a bath is amazing. Why? Because not only can I see his beautiful face up close, I can drool without him noticing.

After he dries my fur, he walks over to the fridge to pour me some milk.

Seriously? Milk? I thought we went through this last time. I don't want milk.

I stare up at him. Showing my very uninterested face as he sets the milk bowl in front of me.

"What? You want sandwiches again? That's not going to happen. If I'm gonna keep you, you have to eat healthily. Healthy as in cat healthy. I'm going to buy you cat food tomorrow"

No... Kaito. Don't do this to me.

To beg for sandwiches, I rub the top of my head against his legs and purr softly.

"Meeeoooowww... (Kaito... )"

Kaito blushes. Picks me up and places me on his shoulders.

"Fine. Just this once"

He gets two slices of bread and adds two thin slices of ham and one slice of cheese. He slices the bread diagonally to form two perfect triangles. He then places the bread onto my bowl.

Now that's a perfect meal.

I happily jump down from his shoulders and take a bite into the sandwich. Good. But not as good as the ones I can make.

"This kitten is very picky indeed."

Yup. I'm picky alright. Cause I don't think I'm gonna eat cat food ever again in my life.

After Kaito finishes his slice, he opens his laptop and talks a seat on the dining table. He's typing something again. Something that looks really familiar. A heist notice. Hm... Another one I see. I wonder which one it is...

I quickly gobble up the remaining sandwich and trot over to Kaito's legs. I rub the top of my head on his legs, hoping to get his attention.

Noticing the rub on his legs, he picks me up and gently places me next to his table. I read the notice and the signature isn't Kaito's regular signature. It signs, "The Phantom Kid that God abandoned." Weird ending for a letter. But this ending sounds so familiar. The "phantom kid" obviously refers to Kaito. Then, what does the rest of it even mean? Wait. If Kaito didn't write this then someone is using his name to do something! How could they!

I need to force my tiny brain to remember who this person is. I know the old man (Jirokichi Suzuki) would make his first appearance in Kaito's beautiful air walk and then he forges a letter so that Kaito would help him save his poor dog that got locked up in the iron tanuki. That letter looks nothing like this one. Who is this? You know what. I need to tag along to check it out. My memory is failing me.
