When it sees the Defenders it doubles its pace and starts charging them. The 4 Defenders crouch down into firing position with their left legs aimed at the monster. With a single twitch of their eyes they lock their 4 anti-armor lasers on the creature and let loose with a barrage of laser fire. The monster keeps on coming through it, and at the last possible second the Defenders break their target lock and jump out of the way of the monster, right as it sweeps its arms through where they were standing./span/p

Seconds afterwards, the monster comes into view of the base- still unscathed. Seeing the base in front of it, the beast charges towards the base. The 3 Defenders jump up the sides of 2 neighboring buildings until they are on the roof of one of the buildings, ready to fire their anti-armors. /span/p

As he approaches, he sees that the beast remains undamaged but its forehead is missing the eye of XANA. As he approaches it, the eye of XANA suddenly glows bright white on its forehead and pops up from the ground and sweeps him to the side, sending him slamming into the side of a building with a massive thud. The other Defenders respond with another massive barrage of anti-armor laser fire directed at its eye of XANA. The creature continues to very slowly move through the anti-armor laser fire./span/p

He spots a small but intense area in the small of the beast's back that is glowing bright white on infrared. Curling his hands into firing position, he lets loose a thick, electric blue bolt of lightning at the spot. The beast is surrounded in bolts of electrical energy, and it crumbles to the ground. Weitzler motions, and himself and 5 of the Defenders cautiously approach the beast./span/p

p class="MsoNormal"span lang="EN"After a few minutes, he returns with a series of small, cylindrical explosives. He proceeds to stuff them deep into the heat dissipator as he sets up a wireless detonator. The Defenders all clear away from the beast. Once everyone is clear, Gadbois presses the detonator button. Bright orange fire shoots 10 feet up out of the heat dissipator as a loud boom rips through the street. Switching over to his IR, Weitzler sees that the entire creature is now one uniform shade of red./span/p
