Chapter 9- Lady in black

Nobody POV
As Duncan began to examine the lady in black it simply did look like Courtney. Duncan was starting to suspect all of this. Either Courtney is still alive, or that was her spirit.
Courtney's Father's speech ended and it was time to go. Everybody was saying there apology's to Courtney's parents. But Duncan was walking out, for the reason that Courtney's mom made him uncomfortable and let him know that she hated him. As he walked out Courtney's dad chased after him.
"Duncan wait." Franco (Courtney's dad) said in a deep raspy voice. His eyes were puffy from crying.
"I am so sorry about my wife, she dosent like you very much. In fact I didn't either at the fact you cheated on mi princessa." He added frowning.
"But that's the past it's behing us now." He added.
"Yeah thanks?" Duncan asked confused.
"You've been crying? I know you truly loved her up till now. You're a good man Duncan" Franco said patting his back. With that he left.
Duncan was just confused at this whole situation. He never expected that. He looked back to see Courtney's mom whispering something to her husband, looking at Duncan. She then rolled her eyes.
Wow she must really hate me. Duncan thought. He started walking on the trail, the lady in black was walking.
He was walking for minutes now. When he stopped at a sight. There was the lady in black kneeling on one knee, at the plane crash scene.
"It's you! "Duncan yelled out
"You are the lady in black!"
Duncan kneeled next to her.
Courtney POV
There it was Duncan kneeling next to me! I felt my heart beat increase. My stomach felt like butterflies! I felt my cheeks heating up!
"Did you know her "Duncan asked
"Why would you care" I scoffed, while trying to make my voice unrecognizable. The last thing I needed was Duncan finding out who I was.
"You cheated on her I'm surprised you even bothered." By then I started to have an attitude. Memories of him and Gwen made me mad.
"Nobody knows this but, I still love her. She was my heaven." Duncan responded with a sad tone. "Sure I left her for Gwen and you may think I am soft but, deep down I regretted all of that,
I want to see her one last time." He responded quieter.
"Well it's too late now" I responded. Unsure of what to say. I felt tears in my eyes starting to form. I didn't want to cry so I knew it was time to leave.
I then dissapeared into the woods all the way to my grandmas house.
Duncan POV
That was strange. That stranger left all of the sudden.
I continued to look around this scene.
I saw some plane parts, I looked around a bit. I noticed pieces of clothing. I then realized this was real. I hadn't processed all of this yet. I hoped this was a nightmare.
But it isn't
Princess is dead.
I kneeled down knowing that she's gone.
We could've made it work.
She didn't live past 20.
That C.I.T who made me crazy. Who had her future planned out. Had died.
I couldn't believe it. It had started to rain again. There was a lump in my throat. My tears were coming back again. I missed her already. Tears stated falling again. I groaned.
SHIT this is crazy. My mind is telling me to move on. But my heart says different.
I have to give up or give in.
It's all because I'm in love with someone who isn't even here.
Bridgette POV
I told the driver to stop at the cottage nearby. I wanted to visit Courtney. I also told Geoff I knew the person who lived there. Of course he wanted to come but I said no.
This is it.
The cottage looked cozy.
I rang the bell. To my surprise an old lady answered.
"Oh you must be Bridgette, so lovely to see you." She said sweetly while hugging me.
"You must be Courtney's grandma Chabela." I replied with a smile.
Why yes, call me grandma too. I'd always like to have more grandbabies. She replied.
As I walked in the house smelled minty. I then saw Courtney running down the stairs.
"BRIDGETTE!" She exclaimed happily.
Courtney gave me a bone crunching hug.
"I'm so glad you're here." I've been waiting for a while now come see my room!" She said excited
I haven't seen her this excited since Total Drama!
"Someone is in a good mood" I said lightly.
When I entered her room it was tidy. Of course I sat on her bed.
"Oh my god Bridge I saw Duncan today! He looked so cute! God he changed . Of course I was disguised though. " she said
"Yeah that's good. What have you been up to?" I said not knowing what to say.
"Nothing much." She replied while sighing
"What about you?"
"Oh yeah Courtney! Geoff and I were thinking about kids! How does that sound!" I said enthusiasticly.
"That is great! Can I be the cool aunt!" Courtney said while painting her nails.
"Of course silly!" I said laughing. Of course Courtney might not be there all the time, but she was my best friend.
Hotel room
Duncan POV
I went over to Geoff and Bridgette's hotel room. Apparently Bridgette went to visit someone she knew.
"Hey Geoff ,
Have you seen that lady in black earlier.?" I asked.
"Naw man, you're probably hallucinating. This has been hard on you and Bridgette bro. SHIT this was a bit hard on me to but bro, she was the love of your life!" Geoff said.
"Also brah! Bridge and I have been talking about kids lately!" Geoff added. While smiling to himself.
"Well I uh. I um I mean not going to lie. That caught me off guard but raising kids can be hard. Especially since it's like a lot of responsibilities." I was unsure of what to say I'm not going to lie. Geoff has always been this guy who liked partying, and probably hadn't had much responsibilities. He just didn't seem responsible.
"But we better be packing up, we're leaving back home in a bit". I added.
5 hours later...
As we were boarding the plane I wondered who that lady was... how did she know Courtney... is there something more to this situation...
