Episode 1

How it all started

Alfie: hey Ronnie.

Ronnie: Yeah?

Alfie: have you seen the news?

Ronnie: no, why?

Alfie: oh ok, I was just wondering because north Korea and America has declared a war on each other, it's kind of scary if I'm honest.

Ronnie: how is it scary?

Alfie: what planet are you living on, we live in America! if they do declare war then we will be in the middle of it!

Ronnie: stop worrying, I'm sure it's just talk.

Alfie: Really?!

Adam: hey what's going on?

Caitlin: yeah what is going on, you two arguing?

Alfie: no, we aren't arguing, Ronnie just doesn't understand what the news was all about and isn't taking this seriously!

Ronnie: hey I never said I wasn't taking this seriously; I just think it could be fake news that's all.

Adam: oh, that news about America and north Korea declaring war on each other, yeah that shit is real

Alfie: thank you, at least you understand why it's scary.

Ronnie: oh my god I never said it wasn't scary, look I'm going to be late for class if I keep talking to you lot so I'm going to head to class now Alfie.

Alfie: ok well can you tell tweak and craig when you see them in your class, to meet me after school please its important.

Ronnie: yeah, I will do, anyways see you all later.

Alfie&Adam&Caitlin: yeah see you later Ronnie.

Caitlin: hey Alfie, can you just be nice to him, it's hard to take in what you just told him.

Alfie: look, I know ok, there's a bomb shelter that they are sending people in over the summer holidays, so there's not really much to be afraid of.

Caitlin: oh really? I never knew they had a bomb shelter already.

Adam: I never knew that either.

Alfie: yeah, so there's nothing to worry about.

Caitlin: ok well I got to go to class now so I'll talk to you guys later.

Alfie&Adam: ok see you later.

Caitlin: bye.

Adam: hey um, before I go to class, have you seen Jazmine at all?

Alfie: she isn't feeling well today so that's why she's not in school.

Adam: oh ok, well when you see her, tell her that she left some of her stuff round mine the other night.

Alfie: yes, I will do.

Adam: thank you so much, anyways I'm heading to class now.

Alfie: ok, see ya.

Adam: bye.

Ronnie: hey tweak and craig just to let you know, Alfie wants to speak to you after school.

Tweak: why?

Craig: what does he want?

Ronnie: I don't know, all I know is that he wants to talk to you both after school.

Tweak: alright.

Craig: ok, well I have homework to do so it will have to be quick.

Ronnie: don't worry, I'm sure it will be quick.

Craig: I hope so

Tweak: baby, can we meet tomorrow?

Craig: yeah sure what time?

Tweak: about midday, if that's ok?

Craig: yeah sure, I have nothing better to do anyways.

Tweak: okay thank you bubba, I love you.

Craig: I love you too.

Ronnie: awe, you two are so adorable, I could kiss you both.

Craig: shut up

Tweak: well he isn't wrong, oioi haha

Craig: shush you!

Narrator: The teacher turns up and the lesson begins, they sit in boredom, wanting to go home. The last bell off the day rings and they are excited to go home, the teacher lets the students go and all the students rush to leave the school and Alfie has a word with Tweak and craig outside.

Tweak: hey so you wanted to speak with me and craig.

Craig: what's up?

Alfie: ok, well you know we all have to go into bunkers soon due to the bombing threat.

Tweak&Craig: yeah?

Alfie: (sighs)…. craig is being moved to another shelter across the other side of town.

Tweak: ok... we can just tag along, it's not a big deal

Alfie: that's the thing Tweak, we aren't allowed to just tag along.

Tweak: wait what... baby they can't take you away from me!

Craig: look at me tweak... tweak, look at me!

(craig pulls tweaks face near his and they both stare into each other's eyes)

Craig: look, it will be ok, trust me, as soon as I'm allowed out the shelter again, I will search for you every single day and I won't give up until we are together again, trust me.

Tweak: I'm going to miss you though.

Craig: I'm miss you too tweak, (sighs) come here.

(Craig pulls tweaks arms around him while pulling him close and tight and they both share a long-lasting hug.)

Narrator: while craig and tweak are hugging and Alfie just stands there awkwardly, the town siren goes off and everyone comes rushing out of the school, Ronnie, Adam and Caitlin find the others to ask what's going on.

Adam: hey what's going on.

Alfie: it's started already!

Caitlin: what has started?

Ronnie: the bombings have...

Adam: I didn't know it was so soon! we all have to move to a shelter NOW!

Alfie: craig can't come with us.

Adam: what are you talking about, he was on the list to go to the same shelter...

Alfie: he got moved to the one on the other side of town.

Adam: oh shit...

Tweak: I can't leave you now!

(tweak starts to shed some tears)

Craig: hey, it will be ok tweaky, we will find each other again I promise.

(tweak and craig share a cuddle before they have to split apart from each other and craig whispers in tweaks ear.)

Craig: I will find you again, even if it kills me.

(two soldiers come over to the group and tells craig that he has to leave now)

Tweak: I LOVE YOU!

Craig: I love you too Tweaky

(craig quickly goes over to Alfie and whispers in his ear)

Craig: look after tweak for me ok, promise me he will be your priority from now on until we reunite again.

Alfie: ok I promise, he won't leave my sights.

Narrator: so, the two soldiers take craig away from the group and the rest of the group get taken to another shelter across town, when they make it to the shelter,

Alfie looks behind him and can see the atomic bomb heading their way and Alfie's last words to the world before leaving it all behind is.

Alfie: (sighs)... War never changes.

(shelter door closes)
