The Alexander Chronicles Year 4: The Return of Darkness.
Chapter 27: In even deeper water
…
A quick warning about this chapter, the ending of it will be very dark and attended rape will be implied. I have of curse tried to tone it down, so it will not be too dark. Anyway enjoy the story and please leave a review.
…
Alex kept going to the chamber in the following week. It gave him a good chance of studying, to train some new combat spells and working his animagus training. An added bonus was that he didn´t have listen about the comments about why it had been Daphne, Alex had saved in the second task and that he only stayed in the lake so he could look good.
Still Alex had faced many nasty comments those that wasn´t about the tournament was about his break up with Lisa, most of them by Lisa´s friends. Lisa herself was also nasty, as she made sure to give crude remarks every time Alex was near and she made sure to give insults when they met in a corridor. Even though Alex knew that he had hurt Lisa, he was starting to be a bit fed by her behaviour.
At least Alex´s friends were a big support both Harry, Blaise, Draco and Erik, although the latter got a lot of grief from Lisa, were always ready to talk about his girl trouble. Daphne, Tracey Hermione and even Susan, who had begun spreading more time with Alex, also offered their support although Alex didn´t discuss Lisa with them that would be weird especially with Daphne. Alex hadn´t told her the real reason why he had broken up with Lisa nor had he told her about his feelings. In truth, he and Daphne hadn´t really talked about the kiss they had shared, and Alex wasn´t sure, if he should. Maybe it would ruin their friendship. Blaise and Draco would also join Alex in the chamber to help him train and offer advice about Daphne. Like Draco could reveal that things wasn´t good between Daphne and Silan.
Once the date became March, Harry got an owl from Sirius asking him and Alex to meet at Hogsmede along with Ron and Hermione. Alex was a bit annoyed that he couldn't see Sirius alone or at least only see him with Harry.
"Well maybe he just thought it would be rude just to invite you?" Blaise said as he and Alex was walking from the chamber so they could get to their potions lesson.
"Well I am his son and even then he could just invited Harry and me. I mean why does Weasley has to tag along?"
Blaise shrugged as they exited the secret passage to the chamber and the two boys continued towards down in the dungeons where they were joined by Daphne and Tracey. When he got to the potion classroom that day, Alex knew something had happened.
Nott, Crabbe, and Goyle were standing in a huddle outside the classroom door with Pansy Parkinson and Millicent Bulstrode. All of them were looking at something Alex couldn't see and sniggering heartily. Pansy's face peered excitedly around Goyle's broad back at Alex, Harry, Hermione, and Ron who apparently hadn´t been far behind him and Blaise.
"There they are, there they are!" Pansy giggled, and the knot of Slytherins broke apart. Alex saw that she had the magazine - Witch Weekly - in her hands. The moving picture on the front showed a curly-haired witch who was smiling toothily and pointing at a large sponge cake with her wand.
"You might find something to interest you in there, Granger!" Pansy said loudly, and she threw the magazine at Hermione, who caught it, looking startled. Before she could read it however, the dungeon door opened, and Snape beckoned them all inside.
Alex entered the classroom, followed by his friends. He was curious, so he made sure that he and Blaise sat next to Hermione, both wondering what the whole thing was about.
Once Snape had turned his back on them to write up the ingredients of today's potion on the blackboard, Hermione hastily rifled through the magazine under the desk. At last, in the centre pages, Hermione found what they were looking for.
Alex and Blaise leaned in closer. There coloured photograph of Alex and a short piece entitled:
Alexander Black's Secret Heartache
A boy like no other, perhaps - yet a boy suffering all the usual pangs of adolescence, writes Rita Skeeter. Very early in his life young Alexander was deprived of his father, as the criminal Sirius Black was arrested due to his well known crimes. Another lose would later follow as young Alexander´s mother was arrested for helping his father escape Azkaban prison. Stuck by so much hardship of having an escaped convict as a father and an imprisoned, fourteen-year-old Alexander Black thought he had found solace in his steady girlfriend at Hogwarts, in the Ravenclaw student; Lisa Turpin. Yet confused by this new feeling young Alexander was manipulated by the Muggle-born Hermione Granger whom he had also had feelings for and the young boy apparently left miss Turpin in order to seek love in his own Hogwarts house.
Little did young Alexander Black know that he would shortly be suffering yet another emotional blow in a life already littered with personal loss?
Miss Granger, a plain but ambitious girl, seems to have a taste for famous wizards that Alexander alone cannot satisfy. Since the arrival at Hogwarts of Viktor Krum, Bulgarian Seeker and hero of the last World Quidditch Cup, Miss Granger has been toying with both boys' affections. Hermione Ganger´s ambition have also dragged the vanquisher of he-who-must-not-be-named, young Harry Potter in to her desire and list young men she could emotionally scar, as she dumped the boy that lived last year.
Krum, who is openly smitten with the devious Miss Granger, has already invited her to visit him in Bulgaria over the summer holidays, and insists that he has "never felt this way about any other girl."
However, it might not be Miss Granger's doubtful natural charms that have captured these unfortunate boys' interest.
"She's really ugly," says Pansy Parkinson, a pretty and vivacious fourth-year student, "but she'd be well up to making a Love Potion, she's quite brainy. I think that's how she's doing it."
Love Potions are of course, banned at Hogwarts, and no doubt, Albus Dumbledore will want to investigate these claims. In the meantime, Fourth Champion Alexander Black's well-wishers must hope that, next time, he bestows his heart on a worthier candidate. Just as she same can be said of Harry Potter, this reporter hopes that the two friends can help each other, get over their heartbreak.
"That's her tactic!" Blaise said to Hermione as she stared down at the article. "That is why there isn´t anyone that crosses that women, she will drag them though the mutt. With you she wants to make you in some sort of - of scarlet woman!"
Hermione stopped looking astonished and snorted with laughter. "Scarlet woman?" she repeated, shaking with suppressed giggles as she looked around at Blaise.
"It's what my mother calls them," Blaise said. "A woman who has more than two lovers at the same time."
"If that's the best Rita can do, she's losing her touch," said Hermione, still giggling, as she threw Witch Weekly onto the empty chair beside her. "What a pile of old rubbish."
However Alex didn´t felt as untouched as Hermione did. Granted he had expected that there could be articles about his and Lisa´s break up and was surprised that hadn't appeared been more. Alex had hoped it would have stayed that way and Lisa just had kept to being nasty towards him.
Hermione looked over at the Slytherins, who were all watching her and Alex closely across the room to see if they had been upset by the article. Hermione gave them a sarcastic smile and a wave as everybody stared to unpack their potions ingredients.
"Do you think that it was Lisa that gave the story?" Alex whispered to Blaise who were crushing the scarabs needed for the potion.
"No I don´t think so" he answered and looked at Alex. "I mean then Skeeter would have told of you know?" Alex nodded as he felt himself blush as he thought about his little kiss with Daphne. It had both been the stupidest and the most wonderful thing he had done.
"When will you man up and tell her?"
"Tell her what?"
"That you like her. I mean whenever I see you two together, you guys look happy; like there's a special connection."
"Look I don´t know okay!" Alex whispered not wanting to talk about it, because he had thought of it many times. However even if things between her and Silan was ending, then it didn´t meant the he could be with her. Maybe she just didn´t like him that way – it wasn´t a chance he would take right now. Blaise seem to accept that and the two friends worked in comfortable silence.
"How could Rita Skeeter has known…?" Alex heard Hermione say, he turned as he thought that she was talking to him, but she was faced with Harry and Ron.
"Known what? How you've been slipping love potions to, Harry, Black and Krum?" Ron joked.
"Don't be stupid." Hermione replied, trying not to smile while she starting to pound up her beetles again. "No, it's just… how did she know Viktor asked me to visit him over the summer?" Alex saw Hermione blushed scarlet
"Seriously?"
"He asked me right after he'd pulled me out of the lake," Hermione said. "After he'd got rid of his shark's head. Madam Pomfrey gave us both blankets and then he sort of pulled me away from the judges so they wouldn't hear, and he said, if I wasn't doing anything over the summer, would I like to –"
"And what did you say?" Ron asked as Alex try to focus on his work
"And he did say he'd never felt the same way about anyone else," Hermione went on, "but how could Rita Skeeter have heard him? She wasn't there or was she? Maybe she has got an Invisibility Cloak; maybe she sneaked onto the grounds to watch the second task…"
"And what did you say?" Ron hissed.
"Well, I was too busy seeing whether Alex were okay to-"
"Fascinating though your social life undoubtedly is Miss Granger," said an icy voice right behind them, and both of them jumped, "I must ask you not to discuss it in my class. Ten points from Gryffindor."
Snape had glided over to their desk while they were talking. The whole class was now looking around at them. Alex could see that Nott were flashing the Black stinks badge.
"Ah… reading magazines under the table as well?" Snape added, snatching up the copy of Witch Weekly. "That is another ten points that you have lost Miss Ganger," Snape paused as his eyes fell on the article. "But of course discussing Mr Black´s role in the tournament and his love life must be far more important." There was laughter in the class; Alex glared at Snape preparing for the professor´s mocking. "I think it would for the best if I separate you, so that you won't disturb Mr Black that is the only one of your dunderheads that seems to be working. Of course, he sitting next to Mr. Zabini. So Mr. Weasley to the front of the class, Miss Ganger next to Miss Parkinson and Potter stay here and stay quit."
Alex was a bit surprised that Snape hadn´t mocked him. That wasn´t the only unusual that happened in the class, for one thing Snape accused Harry for stealing potion ingredients from his private storage. Not that that was it was strange that Snape was taunting Harry; no what was weird was that those ingredients was used for polyjuice potion.
Later as the class was working on their potions, it was interrupted by someone knocking on the door.
"Enter," said Snape in his usual voice.
Alex looked around as the door opened. Professor Karkaroff came in. Alex along with everyone else watched as the Durmstrang headmaster walked up toward Snape's desk. As Karkaroff reached Snape the two of them began arguing, but Alex couldn't hear what it was about, but it ended with Karkaroff staying in the room. Alex noticed that he was glaring at him. Karkaroff hovered behind Snape's desk for the rest of the double period. He seemed intent on preventing Snape from slipping away at the end of class. Alex left but he noticed Harry had dropped something, and took his time to retrieve what he had dropped.
The following day Alex met up with Harry, Ron and Hermione in Hogsmeade at half past one so they could meet up with Sirius. Sirius had changed from when Alex had seen him this summer; his clothes were dirtier, his black hair gotten longer and more untidy and he was a lot thinner. As he had expected Sirius had mostly wanted to get an oral update about what had happened in the castle and disuse certain things that happened in the magical world, like Barty Crouch and Bertha Jorkins disappearance, Bagman willingness to help Alex and the dangers that they all needed to watch out for. One thing that really interested Sirius was that Karkaroff had talked with Snape and according to Harry shown him something on his arm. For a moment Sirius appeared to be thinking what Alex was. Had it been the Dark Mark? As a former Death Eater he would have been branded with it. However, why show it to Snape? Had he been a Death Eater as well? Harry and Ron of course began their rant about Snape being evil, but apparently Sirius dismissed it saying that Dumbledore trusts Snape before entering a new topic
One thing that annoyed Alex and one thing he found it a bit weird was that Sirius was concerned about Harry (after all he was the one in danger) and even though he knew it was wrong he felt a bit jealous as he watched the two of them talk. The feeling of jealousy got even worse when Sirius hugged Harry. Of course, Sirius had talked with Alex too, but still most of his father´s attention had been on Harry or it had at least felt that way. Alex had also learned a few things about his father. For one thing, it had been Barty Crouch that placed Sirius in Azkaban without a trial. Apparently, Crouch due to his roughness about Death Eaters had made him a pretty good candidate for Minster of Magic. It had been ruined when Crouch´s own son had been exposed as a Death Eater and sent to Azkaban by Crouch himself, the son had later died, and the public turned against Crouch.
As they were about to leave Sirius walked them back to Hogsmeade, but not before given Alex and Harry an order not to sneak out and see him, which Alex had considered doing, but Sirius thought it would be an to ideal opportunity to kill him.
Once Sirius had left them Harry looked at Alex, "do you really think that Sirius is right about the dangers?"
Alex shrugged as the four of them began making their way to Hogwarts. Hermione had dragged Ron in the front so that Alex and Harry could talk. "Don´t know! Nothing have happened so far, but I would like to know who got me involved in this tournament."
Harry nodded, "yeah but the thing is, why he so worried about me? I mean it is you that are in the tournament."
Alex didn´t respond at first feeling a bit petty about being jealous at Harry because of Sirius protectiveness about him, after all Harry never asked for it. "Maybe it because they both Sirius and Dumbledore are wondering why it isn´t you that is this tournament."
"I know, but why would they think that and why are they still stilled worried when it is you that are in danger."
"I think, it is because of the Dark Mark! I mean it been so long it have been seen and just after all this is happing. I mean if it is Riddle that involved, then why me? I mean he properly hate me after what happened in the chamber, but in the grand picture, he properly hates you more."
Harry nodded, "do you think it is Voldemort?"
"I don´t know, again if it been you that was in the middle sure, but with me! I can´t see why he would do all of this just to kill me - but then again I can´t see anyone else would either."
"Your cousin doesn´t he hate you?"
Alex clenched his fits. "He does, but I don´t think it was him - I don´t think it even is a student. Still I would be interested in knowing why."
They were silent for a bit before they walked over to Hermione and Ron who were talking about Crouch and Percy. "I wonder if Percy know all that stuff about Crouch?" He paused, "but I doubt he care. He just admire Crouch even more - the man that refused to break to rules for his son."
"Ron, Percy would never send any of his family to the dementors," Hermione said.
"Hmm I don´t know if we were standing in the way of his carrier. Percy is really ambitious you know."
As they walked up the stone steps into the entrance hall, where the delicious smells of dinner wafted toward them from the Great Hall. "Poor Snuffles, I must really like you Harry!" Ron made sure to emphasise that he only talked about Harry. "Imagine to live of rats."
…
The dinner was pretty uneventful, Alex was pretty quiet and was sitting by himself nibbling at his food. Truth be told he wasn´t that hungry. He kept thinking about the meeting with Sirius and what he said about Crouch. Alex felt very angry with the man who basically had robbed him of the chance being raised by his dad.
Knowing that he needed to get the anger out the system, Alex decided to go to the Chamber so he could train. He was just about to walk down the secret passage when he heard something. He didn´t really know why he didn´t ignore it, but he found himself moving closer. Now he could he that the noise was shouting. "I said no!" A female voice sounded. Alex looked around; he was in the more unused areas in the dungeons. Alex hurried towards the voices when he heard the female again. "Just stop."
"Just come, I just want to talk." A male voice said. Alex shuddered whatever the owner of the voice wanted it wouldn't be nice for the girl.
"That might be, but I said no. Beside I told you, it is over Silan!"
Alex frowned, what were Silan doing here. He should be at the Durmstrang boat at this time. Who was he with? No it couldn´t be her. Alex peaked around the corner and saw Silan´s tall figure leaning against the wall and blocking someone from Alex´s sight. Suddenly Silan was pushed away and Alex´s eyes whinnied when he saw that the girl was Daphne. No why was this happing? Why would Silan do this to her?
Daphne had an angry look on her face, "I told you that it is over. Beside I am not that kind of girl," she hissed and began to walk away. Alex mentally cheered she didn´t like his cousin, but the cheering stopped as Silan grabbed Daphne´s arm. "What? Let me go!" However Silan didn´t, "I said let me go Silan!" Daphne hissed trying to pull away.
"No Greengrass! I know why you want to leave. It is because you are seeing my cousin behind my back."
"What? No! I just don´t like you that way Silan. So let go of me!"
"No I don´t think so Greeengass. Is that how you talk to your boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend? Look I don´t have those feelings for you. So just let go please." Daphne tried pulling away again. "Look Silan let me go." Daphne said again in a worried tone.
"No I won´t – and I don´t really care if you like me or not." Silan growled and pushed Daphne against the wall, and held her there with one arm, so she couldn't get free.
"S-Silan stop you h-hurting me." Daphne sobbed making Alex´s anger flare up.
"I know Greengrass I know."
"All those thing Alex said about you was true wasn´t it?"
Silan chuckled. "Yeah little tiny Xander – yeah you should have listen to him." Silan paused. "Even though he is a little cry-baby. I had really thought you would have better taste."
"Alex is ten time more man then you."
Silan laughed again. "So you don´t know do you?"
"Know what? I know that you treated him horrible."
"No I punished him – I just beat him up, cursed him and each time he ended up crying like a little baby – you should have head your little hero wail and call out for mummy."
"Why?"
"Because I hate him, and I want to hurt him." Silan paused. "If you are siding with him, then I hurt you too."
What?" Daphne said sounding even more scarred.
"Oh little Daphne – See by hurting you, I be hurting him. Just me being with you were hurting him, when you isn´t willing – well then I just have to take it. And knowing it will tear my cousin apart will only be half the pleasure." Silan´s free hand began moving down at Daphne´s clothing, touching her. Alex felt anger like never before, it was like a fire burning in his stomach and he needed to get it out – how dared Silan touch her like that. Without looking away, Alex pulled his wand from his robes.
"Silan please stop – I am begging you." Daphne cried, she tried pushing Silan away, but it didn´t work.
"Not a chance, look just accept this." Silan said before pressing his lips against Daphne´s forcing her to kiss him. Alex clenched his fist with anger as heard Daphne´s muffled screams of protest but it was also due the fact that Silan were kissing Daphne, then Silan pulled away with a small scream, apparently Daphne have bitten him.
"You shouldn't have done that." Silan hissed as he took out his wand and pressed it against Daphne´s neck. "Now I have to make it more painful then it had to. I would say I wouldn't enjoy it, but then I be lying."
"No" Alex thought he wouldn't let Silan do this not to Daphne his Daphne, all previous fear of Silan vanished and was replaced by a burning hate and anger. He had enough; Silan had always done whatever he pleased. He hurt Alex, he hurt everyone, but nomore – NOMORE.
Alex didn´t even think as he stepped out from is hiding place. "Get off her your creep."
Silan turned away from Daphne when he saw it Alex he gave an evil smirk. "Uh hey Xander, you are just in time to watch the show." But Silan wasn´t the only one looking at Alex, Daphne eyes was also one him her grateful eyes gave so much courage.
"Leave – Daphne – alone." Alex hissed.
Silan laughed, "nah I don´t think so." He said and turned back to Daphne, who gave a yelp that made Alex flinch.
"I mean it Silan." Alex hissed aiming his wand as his cousin.
"Yeah quit crying and watch this." Silan said beginning to kiss Daphne´s neck.
Alex stomach twisted in anger at what he saw. "FINE you got this coming then." He yelled, thinking of a spell that would stop Silan. "FULGUR!" he yelled again, and a lightning bolt emerged from Alex´s wand.
"What-" Silan had just let go of Daphne when the lightning hit him square in the chest electrocuting and sending him flying.
Silan moaned as he tried to get up, Alex´s eyes fell on Daphne who slid on the ground while crying if it was from relief or fear he couldn't tell. Alex looked back at Silan who had gotten to his feet and was giving him murderous glare, before he could do anything Alex swung his wand again and shouted, "Fulgur." The blue lighting once again hit Silan, he screamed and was sent into the wall. With some quick steps, Alex was standing over his cousin.
"You just had to do it didn´t you. You just had to try to force yourself on someone," Alex growled as kneeled so he could face Silan. The teenager was breathing heavily. "More than that you had to try to force yourself on Daphne, knowing just how much she means to me. That is why you did this isn´t? You hurt her to hurt me – it stops now. All my life you been bullying me, as a kid I couldn't do anything but now I can. So keep away from Daphne."
Silan gave a week laugh, "well the puppy bites."
Alex growled and punched Silan in the jaw, he was about to do it again when he heard Daphne sob. All anger vanish and was replaced with concern. He hurried over to her; she had her face buried in her knees. "Daphne it going to be okay. I am here now." He said kneeling beside her.
Daphne looked up, "A-Alex I-I."
"Schh it will be fine," Alex said taking her hand. "I got you okay."
"I-I s-should ha-had lis-listened t-t-too you," Daphne sobbed, "y-you must h-hat-hate me. I am s-so sorry."
"Schhh it is okay. I am not mad at you." Alex whispered still holding her hand.
Daphne gave a sad smile but then her eyes whined. "Look out".
Alex turned and saw Silan had cast a curse at him. Alex had moved just in time, so the curse only scratched his cheek, leaving a scar. Alex hissed in pain and jumped to his feet.
"I guess I have to beat you in to submission Xander. You will always be a zero." Silan growled as he pointed his wand at Alex, who responded by having his wand in a defences position.
"Don´t underestimate me Silan."
"Are you sure that you will go down this road? I mean turning on your own family."
Alex growled, "You turned on me first, beside I don´t see you as my family." He added looking at Daphne, before looking back at his cousin. "so yeah I am sure."
"Well well how amusing. Okay I show you what I can do." Silan said before whipping his wand, and a dark red curse flew out of his wand and soared towards Alex, who stepped aside and got ready to fire back.
"Expelliarmus!" the disarming spell towards Silan who just casted a shield spell.
"Is that all little cousin. You have to much better than that puny spell." Silan grinned before spending a cutting hex towards Alex, who just manged to duck it. "I mean really I thought you would be better than that." He added before sending a new cutting curse
"I will show you better Silan," Alex growled as he blocked the curse, thinking about using some of the curses, that he had learned in the chamber. "Like this Excussus Fluctus." A large arc-like waves of green magic flew towards Silan who smirked and put up a shield, but the shield was broken by Alex´s spell, sending Silan back into the wall. "How's that for puny spell," Alex said, as he watched his cousin struggled up to his feet.
"Not bad Xander, not bad." Silan waved his wand and cast a boil hex. Alex just countered with a shield charm. Silan growled and sent a bone-breaking curse that was blocked by Alex´s shield. Alex growled and casted a cutting hex at his cousin.
It was blocked, but it was followed by the Eltaltium curse that hit. "Using curses Xander, I didn´t knew you had it in you." Silan sent a volley of curses at Alex who blocked and dogged them all, expect a stinging hex . "But newsflash I am better then you! Try this." Silan yelled while twirling his wand and throwing it out in front of him, and yellow circular waves of magic shot out, they kept getting bigger and bigger as they one after the other, went towards Alex. Knowing he couldn't dodge it, Alex quickly cast a shield charm. It blocked the strange curse at first, but as Silan put more power in the curse, the yellows waves soon shattered the shield. As the curse hit, Alex felt a loud pounding and very high pitched sound in his ears. Alex screamed out in pain, dropped his wand, and fell to his knees, while covering his ears, but his hands weren't sound proof enough. This pain was so intense the only time he had felt worse when he had been hit with the Cruciatus curse. How much time had gone, when would it stop?
"Stop it you are killing him," Daphne screamed and Silan released his spell and Alex fell to the floor. The ringing and pounding was gone, and Alex released his ears, as they felt wet with something. He looked at his hands and saw that his palms were covered in some blood, and then he could feel the blood trickle down from his ears and his nose. Alex felt extremely nauseous but still looked up Daphne was standing up and Silan was looking at her, as he had forgotten about her.
"Oh, Daphne, I forgot you were here," Silan said smiling. "Don´t worry my sweet I be right back- I just need to finish my little chat with my cousin." Alex had finally struggled to his feet was kicked in stomach, with groan Alex fell again. "Did I tell you to get up?" Silan followed his question with another. "Huh? Did I?" another kick causing Alex to give yelp.
"Leave him alone!"
Silan signed and looked at Daphne, "fine I deal with you first – it is fine really."
Alex began to shake as the anger boiled deep inside him. This time Silan had really tried to hurt him or worse. This couldn't happen to Daphne. He had to end this, no matter what. Slowly Alex got to his feet, "no you won´t."
Silan just smiled and walked in front of Alex, "oh yeah will you stop me?" He gave a sneer and continued in a low voice. "This is your fault you know. You had to be a champion. So Karkaroff wanted be to throw you off balance so Krum can win. He knew that your impressive performance would make you a threat in this tournament. So you had to be taken care off. It was an order that I was happy to comply, because you a weakling. You should had never had parseltounge like our mighty ancestor. You know I will enjoy this, so just watch the show and then I will deal with you."
Alex growled and grabbed Silan´s wand arm, it took him by surprise and with some effort and a punch in the jaw; Alex was able to twist the wand out his hand. Silan looked surprised as he starred at Alex, who growled and sent a curse making his cousin flying. Before Silan had, a chance to get up Alex sent new curse at him, followed by two more. Alex then walked over and held Silan at wand point. However, to Alex´s surprise Silan just laughed.
"Oh Xander – that is it – that is anger – that is the power. It is the only way you will be important."
"Shut up Silan just shut up." Alex growled.
"Oh yeah. Then make me. Use the anger – use that darkness, if you have the stomach for it."
"I said shut up!"
"You can´t can you?"
"G-get out of my heard." Alex was breathing heavily as he starred at Silan. He wanted to hurt him. He wanted justice. He wanted to punish him. "Do it" the voice that sounded like his boggart sounded. "It will be justice - he deserved to be punish. You want this."
"Do it" Silan sneered. And this was the push Alex needed, he growled and waved his wand and screamed the curse he had been wanting to use since he was twelve, the curse that he knew would cause pain. "Crucio!" the curse hit and Silan screamed he screamed louder than he screamed before as he twitched in pain. Alex didn´t care as he watched Silan writhe in pain, and Silan deserved to suffer and it felt so good. It was like all that anger that had been bottled up inside him was let out.
The anger about the bullying his cousin had put him through, the anger about his parents arrest and that mother had lied to him about his father. The anger about being in the tournament, how the school had treated him and his break up with Lisa. He felt angry with Sirius for caring more about Harry then him and not being there. He was angry with Nott and there was even anger that surprised him at his grandfather for always being busy. It was as if a dam had been bust and it felt great so great to let it all out. Alex barely registered how much time had passed, he just purred all his anger in the curse as he watched his cousin suffer and scream. It just felt good and unknown to him, he had a twisted smile on his face and his eyes darkened.
"Alex that is enough. He is done!" a voice said and Alex felt someone grabbing his wand arm and pulling it away. The curse was stopped, Silan stopped screaming and Alex felt absolutely livid. Why had he had been stopped? No one had ever stopped Silan when he had tormented him. Alex angrily wrenched his arm free without looking at the person and prepended to cast the curse again. "No just stop Alex please, just look at me!" the voice´s owner forced him to turn his face and look at her. It was Daphne and as Alex´s bloodshot grey eyes with Daphne´s teary ice blue the anger faded. Alex just looked at as he was breathing heavily as he wondered why he hadn´t even recognized her voice. Why hadn´t done that?
"It is okay Alex, he won´t hurt us anymore. He is done. Y-you can stop now. I am safe now." Daphne still holding his face.
What did she mean with stop? "Huh?" he was surprised how hoarse his voice sounded. It was then he remembered what he just had done. He had tortured his cousin that thought was too much for him to process. "I n-no I I just I-"
"It is okay Alex. We get through this." Daphne said as she grabbed Alex´s hands. However Alex backed away feeling afraid. What he dome? He could he? Why didn´t Daphne yell at him? How could she even look at him? Why didn´t she hate him?
Even though he didn´t want to Alex looked at Silan and saw what he had done.
Silan was uncurious but still twitched in pain, groaned softly - next to him was Snape. The professor was cheeking Silan with an worried expression then looked at Alex with concern. Alex just backed away, he had really hurt Silan and he had liked it. He would have done even worse things if Daphne hadn´t stopped him he could have. No he would had killed Silan, maybe he had. Maybe Silan would die anyway, he was badly hurt. He had wanted the same with his stepfather, if Sirius hadn´t stopped him. Two people no three people he had wanted to hurt three people and had badly hurt one
He was a monster, and one of the worst kinds. Ron had been right; when he had said that he was dark, He was dark, just like the rest of his father´s family. Although he doubted that even they had been so messed up at fourteen. Alex felt horrified about his actions, he was worse than a monster. Since Alex couldn't face the judgement, he did the only thing he could think of - he ran ignoring Daphne and Snape´ yells for him to stay.
