And no, not Chaos the God of Destruction and Guardian of the Chao. T.T

(I can imagine him showing up and going "sup everybody!" or just "blub-blub-blub-blub-blub!")

Honest and Shadow had arrived at the cafe a whole thirty minutes before opening like they did pretty much every afternoon. Whenever they got out of school in the afternoons, they headed straight for the cafe, no stopping along the way for anything. The problem with this was that the cafe actually opened at 3:45 pm, not 3:15, when they left the school.

To waste time, Honest and Shadow, today, decided they would challenge each other to a game of Puyo Puyo Versus on their 3DSs.

"It bothers me how much the red Puyos look like Knuckles," Honest said, breaking the silence. They were sitting on the floor with their backs against the front counter, popping Puyos.

Shadow laughed, the hard candy of the sucker in his mouth hitting his teeth and making a "clunk" sound. "They do. They kind of look like they have a grudge against the Puyo next to them as well."

While he was laughing and commenting on the way the Puyos looked, his screen began to fill with Stone Puyos that made a "clunk" sound when they fell just like his candy.

"Hmph! Death to all who oppose me!" A wave of Stone Puyos fell onto Honest's Puyos next.

"Hey, no fair!" Honest exclaimed in annoyance.

Suddenly, a rotten, green pineapple with the doofiest haircut stuck his head into the room. "Hey, dudes! I'm he-" A stampede of anthropomorphic customers came through the front doors, running clean over the poor pineapple.

"But Rouge isn't even here yet!" Honest shouted over the noise of stomping feet. Honest and Shadow closed the tops of their handhelds and stood up.

"You can't all sit at this table!" Honest exclaimed.

"I'm sorry. There's just no more room," Shadow explained to a fox couple at the door.

A full-sized, cherry cheesecake, a tray of a dozen chocolate-filled donuts, three different pies, and a loaf of banana bread lay on a counter, ready to be taken to the customers. Manic couldn't take care of any of those things because he was too busy taking orders. He needed the help of Honest and Shadow truthfully, but they were too busy sorting out the customers to do anything else.

Blaze was even helping take orders. "So, you said- but you said- you said you- but-? I'm confused..."

Akane stood next to a table in the front, holding a tray of assorted pastries. She was shaking violently under the weight of the tray, but she was being quiet while the people at the table distributed the treats among themselves.

"Sky, take three because you paid for them. Crescent should take two. Stiletto should have one because she already ate before she left school..." said a blue and white cat in a grey jacket.

By the time Honest had finished sorting out the tables, Silver was sitting in the floor, eating a slice of cheesecake with a fork, and Knuckles and Sonic were sharing a chair.

"Quit putting your elbows in my pudding!"

"Quit putting your pudding on my elbows!"

"Alright, let's see," Blaze said. "You want two slices of cherry cheesecake, four chocolate-filled donuts, a glass of milk, and a piece of banana bread." A cat sitting at the table nodded.

"And you want one slice of strawberry cheesecake, two slices of banana bread, one slice of zucchini bread, and a glass of milk." A lynx nodded.

"And you said you wanted two pieces of cherry cheesecake, one chocolate-filled donut, a mug of coffee, and a single piece of banana bread?"

"Make that two pieces of banana bread," said a yellow hedgehog with red eyes.

"Okay. Is that all?" Blaze looked back and forth between them. "Okay. I'll go-"

"Can you change mine? I think I want two pieces of zucchini bread!" exclaimed the cat.

"I can do tha-" "And I want coffee!"

"And I want two slices of strawberry cheesecake!"

"Here," Blaze tore the sheet out of her notepad and crumpled it up. "I'll just start over."

"Your coffee, your cheesecake, your donuts, your tea, your sugar to go with your tea, your bread, your pie.." Honest pulled things off of the tray Shadow was holding and handed them to the people at the table.

"Hey! Where's my pie?" Knuckles demanded.

"Y-Your pie?" Honest looked to Shadow. He shrugged.

"I have it!" Akane came sprinting towards them with an apple pie in her hands. Akane to the rescue!

"Uh.. what are you doing?" Shadow asked Honest when he found her in the kitchen after the cafe closed. She was sitting next to the trash can with her computer in her lap and a pile of sticky notes beside her on the floor.

"Typing all of these orders into my fanfiction," Honest said absently.

"Into a chart? I'm puzzled.."

"I need something from Blaze's point of view since everybody tends to forget she works here," Honest explained.

"Oh," Shadow said, narrowing his eyes. "Well, when you're done, we should be going home. I'm exhausted." He followed that up with a yawn.
