A/N: takes place sometime after 'Covention'
It was just a normal morning for Willow. Taking a shortcut to school that only she and some other students knew about. Unfortunately, one of those students was Amity. Despite that Willow was getting better grades being in the plant magic track, Amity still picked on her from time to time. Sometimes it was condescending teases, other times it just just plain bitchiness.
As expected, Amity strolled right past the "half-a-witch" and bumped her shoulder. And of course it wasn't going to be ignored. No, the Blight girl just had to acknowledge it and make Willow's day a nightmare already. She turned around and gave a fake pout, "Oh geez, I didn't see ya there. Guess it's cause you're so invisible."
Willow sighed, bowing her head. "What now, Amity?" She asked wearily. In the past, she wouldn't have said anything in response and would've just stood there awkwardly. But ever since she met Luz, her human friend, she was able to actually talk back to bullies (not very well, but it took baby steps).
Amity shrugged, flipping her hair. "I guess a congrats are in order. You're finally in a class you can get decent grades in." She said, crossing her arms. "Enjoy it while it lasts. Once the teacher sees how crappy your magic is, you'll be 'half-a-witch' yet again."
Willow rolled her eyes, blushing with embarrassment. "Yeah, whatever." She mumbled, avoiding eye contact.
Amity chuckled and turned around. Just as Willow thought she was leaving, she saw her stop in her tracks and turn her head. "By the way, the human you hang out with..I'm just curious, how is she?"
Willow was instantly befuddled. She thought Amity despised Luz with every fiber in her being. And now she was asking how she was doing? Like she cared? "Umm..she's good, I guess?" She responded in a confused tone, "Why..?"
Amity merely shrugged, "No reason." She paused, biting her lip. "Is she..seeing anyone?"
Yet again, Willow was shocked. But now she wasn't confused. She knew exactly why Amity was asking these questions and why she was even bothering to talk about it. Willow thought she'd be the absolute last person the Blight girl would dare imply this to. "Wait..do you like her?"
As expected, Amity scoffed in denial. "What?! No! It was just a question! Stop pestering me!" She said, "Why would I like her?! She's a human! Witches can't be with humans! Besides, I'm not a lesbian! That's gross! Besides, she's annoying and embarrasses me! I do not find her cute at all!"
Willow blinked, "I didn't ask any of that..."
"I barely know her! I shouldn't like her!" The green-haired girl continued to ramble, without even realizing it, "Yeah, she's hot and all but I don't like her! I shouldn't!"
Amity took a breath, then looked over at Willow—who just stood there awkwardly. It took her a moment to process what she'd just said aloud for the first time. She was so used to keeping these thoughts to herself. It seemed she had bottled it up for too long.
She stepped over to Willow and pointed at her threateningly, "If you tell anyone about this, I will make your life a living hell! Understood?"
Willow nodded nervously.
"And don't you dare say a word to Luz." Amity finished, then stormed away in embarrassment.
Willow watched her leave, utterly puzzled by what just happened. But yet, she was amused. Oh, if only she could tell Luz.
