"So the Tom you're saying took them, is the same Tom who assaulted Demeter by the river that day?" Asparagus interrogated Tantomile and Coricopat.

The mystic twins nodded.

"His coat is a similar color to Bomba's, just darker and very unkept." Tantomile answered.

"And you don't know his name?" Jenny asked next.

The twins shook their heads.

"Our senses aren't telling us that" Coricopat answered this time.

"And I'm guessing your senses are also not telling you where the queens are right now?" Skimble asked this time, frustration was clear in his voice.

The twins shrunk back a little and nodded.

"I'm sorry" Tantomile said genuinely "It appears he also has mystic powers, and is able to block us from getting the information we need to find them."

Skimble nodded "I'm sorry lass I didn't mean to come at you like that"

The twins nodded in forgiveness.

Munkustrap sat on the sofa with Tugger, Alonzo and Cassandra. He was at a total loss for how they would ever recover the kidnapped queens. If the twins couldn't figure out where they were or even who the Tom that took them was, who could? And if this Tom had powers, who knows what he was able to do to Bombalurina and Demeter?

Just then Mungojerrie and Rumpletezer, a brother and sister pair of kittens, sheepishly emerged from the back bedroom. They had recently been found and rescued by Skimbleshanks when he was making his rounds at the nearby train lot. Mungo was about the same age as the other almost adult kittens. However, Rumple was a bit younger and would still be considered a kitten after the ball. After a little while in the junkyard, they began to warm up to their new surroundings and their boisterous personalities began to show. Ever since Demeter and Bombalurina were taken, However, they had been strangely quiet.

The siblings made their way over to the rest of the cats. Everyone turned to look at them as they did so.

"Uh" Mungojerrie nervously began "We couldn't help but overhear, but the description of the Tom sounds a lot like a cat we know."

Everyone stared wide eyed at the pair.

"Do go on Lad." Skimble urged with anxious interest.

"Well if he is who we think you're talking about, his name is..." Mungo paused and took a deep breath, his entire body shook.

Everyone stared in anticipation.

Munkustrap began to shake too, however he was wasn't scared, he was borderline enraged. He wanted to grab to the Calico Tom and scream at him to spit it out!

FinallyMungo was able to compose himself

"His name is Macavity" he said "He picked us up off the street after our mother left us. We had finally managed to escape before Skimble rescued us."

Rumpletezer let out a sob. She began shaking uncontrollably.

"Mungo he's gonna know! He's gonna know!" She repeated this over and over until she was no longer coherent through her hysterical crying.

Jenny came over to the distressed calico kitten and put her arms around her.

"Shhh dearie come along" she soothed as she started leading Rumpletezer back into the other room.

After Rumple was in the back bedroom being calmed down by Jenny, the attention was placed back on to Mungojerrie.

"So this Macavity" Asparagus began "Where did he keep you two?"

Mungo shook his head "We were kept not far from the train yard. But I've heard he moves around a lot."

"Well I'd say it's worth a go." Asparagus said turning to Skimble.

The orange tabby tom agreed and they got up to round up the other Toms and head off towards the train yard.

Munkustrap shot up from his place on the sofa "Can I come?!" He eagerly asked.

Asparagus shook his head "Not until after the ball Munk. You know that."

The silver Tom moped and sat back down. He wanted more than anything to rescue Demeter himself.

After Mungojerrie explained exactly where he remembered the hideout to be, the toms took off towards the train yard. Skimble led the way, as he knew the area the best out them all. When they reached the spot Mungo had told them about, they quickly saw for themselves that though there was evidence of someone who may have once lived there, nobody was inhabiting the hideout anymore. Defeated, the toms turned back. They had no clue where to look next.
