This is the first chapter of the rewrite. I am going to continue the storyline that you know, just a different way. Please leave me a review.

"It's been so long since you've seen your brother, hasn't it Isabella?" Caius asks from across the throne room. I look up from the ground and nod in his direction.

"So pitiful, so young and no family or coven to speak of." Aro murmurs as Felix yanks my hair back so I am looking at the three kings of the vampire world. One hundred and twenty years ago, I was captured by the Volturi, and forced to take all of my older brother's and two other companion's memories of me, so they would be spared any punishment. The kings have kept me in the dungeons of their castle, only feeding me enough animal blood to keep from desiccating.

"That isn't my fault. You keep any and all of your other prisoners far away from my cell." I growl at them, a wry smile across my lips. Caius snarls and slaps me across the face for staring him in the eyes. You are never supposed to look the kings in the eyes, especially not as a prisoner.

"So, not like this isn't an incredible change of scenery from my cell. But why have you brought me here? Is it finally time for you to end my suffering?" A sarcastic lilt to my voice gets me another slap to the face, this one so hard I feel a crack form across my cheek. It will take months for that to heal on this stupid animal diet. I think to myself as I blatantly ignore what Aro is going on about. Feeling Caius get near my left arm, I rip away from Felix and tear into Caius's neck tearing out a chunk before I use all of my speed and strength to tear through the castle, knowing I have Demitri on my ass to get me back in the throne room. As soon as I am out the castle doors and into the courtyard, I jump across the stone walls, and tear through the wilderness. Knowing I need more blood to get my gifts back in working order, I zip through a small farming town and drain three humans. Four towns and many dead humans later, my gifts have fully returned and my shield is back in position, so Demitri, no matter how amazing of a tracker will never be able to find me, unless my shield is purposefully down, and it only is when I am extremely weak.

All that I know is that I am somewhere in the middle of the italian country-side, with no identity whatsoever. The only thing that I know about the world right now, is what came from Jane Volturi, she knows what it's like to have everyone be terrified of your gifts. She would sneak down to the dungeon and we would speak for hours when she wasn't on missions for her masters.

I wonder if she'll follow me. I know she hates the kings as much as I do. Glancing down at myself I groan aloud. I am in tatters of my uniform from the southern wars, which at this point barely covers my private areas. Needing clothing, I wait till nightfall and go into another town, taking clothes from homes, but not feeding on them. Since it's been so long since I've had human blood, and been totally full, I need to be careful about how often I eat, so I don't go on a spree and catch the attention of people that I don't need.

I follow my senses to the ocean, which doesn't take long. A noise behind me causes to get into an attach crouch, a harsh hiss escaping my throat.

"Isa, it's me." Jane whispers coming into the open. "I didn't mean to startle you, I thought you would have been paying attention since Demitri and Santiago are after you." She hands me a cloak to conceal me better than the simple jeans and tanktop I found.

"Your scars will attract too much attention." I nod at her assessment and she looks to me for guidance.

"I've never been away from the kings, so I have no idea what to do." She confesses and I see her for the true age she is at heart. Jane was only thirteen when she was changed and even though her powers are extraordinary, she had never been treated like the young girl she truly is.

"I know. All I need is someone who can give us new identities and what not, I will see if I can find Peter and Charolette or Jasper."
"But he won't remember you?" She asks and I sigh settling into the sand.

"You have no idea how I was captured or how they lost their memory do you?" When she shakes her head and sits beside me, I know that I need to tell her all of it before we begin our journey.

"Jasper and I are only two years apart, he the older. We lived in Texas, and the civil war was beginning, and getting closer and closer to our farm. Our mother died of pneumonia, which back then was deadly if you didn't have the money for the medication. And since our family was dirt poor, we couldn't afford it. Our father did his best to take care of us, but coludn't leave for the war since he was much too old. Jasper left one night and a few weeks later we found out that he had joined the calvary. He had lied about his age. Within a few months he became the youngest major in the calvary. We thought we had lost him during the evacuation at Galviston, and since he and I were so close, I decided to go look at the city on my horse, see if I could figure out what happened. Maria was there and she bit me and began the change. It would be years before I even remembered who Jasper was. All I knew was fighting for my life. Many more years before I became Corporal of the war. Everyone now thinks that the Major, Jasper, is the most powerful vampire to ever come out of the war, but their wrong. Everyone who knew about Corporal is either dead, in the Volturi or has had their memory wiped." I take a long breath to keep the memories at bay, and contine.

"I am the most powerful vampire. I am able to take, return, and create memories, control electricity and am a very powerful shield. The electricity and the shield is what kept me alive in the wars. When the Volturi finally found our camp, I was the first and only captured. Alec was there and Aro gave me a choice when he saw how protective of Jasper, Peter and Charlotte I was. Either take their memories and they'll be free, or they would kill them. I couldn't see my family destroyed so I took their places and their punishments so they could live better lives outside of the war." I was shaking at the end of my tale, and Jane hugged me. I gave her a quick squeeze back and we took off into the water after I remembered Garrett, a vampire that accidentally came across my camp years before I became a prisoner; I saved his life and he owes me a debt. I know he has a permanent residence in Boston, thanks to Jane keeping tabs on him for me. So that is where we are headed.

It's time to get my family back.
