I was inspired on how heart melting Kacchan's sudden burst of emotions after Allmight's fight with All for One.
I thought, 'why not see more of his vulnerable soft side?' ️
Anyway, I hope you like it! ️
Chapter 4: That Time When...
While some are preparing; Deku and Izuku started to create a plan; they both laughed at each other when Deku brought out his old Heroes Notebook.
"Can I... ask you a question?" Izuku said, startling Deku.
"It seems that she needs to know as well, dear," Uravity came with Ochaco.
Hearing how she addressed the older Deku got them blushing.
"I also need to know... damn Deku," Katsuki approached them, his hands in his pockets.
"I just want to ask, how come, when she came...I mean, Kairi-chan, suddenly, it felt like my heart's about to break." Izuku asked.
"It's the same for me!" Ochaco said, "it's like my chest was about to burst..." gripping on her shirt with eyes closed.
"It's... because, I.. Uravity and I saw what happened. The feeling... must have transcended through time when she went beyond her limit." Deku answered sadly.
"WHAT HAPPENED, DAMN DEKU?!" Katsuki impatiently kicked the chair.
The whole class came running to where the commotion was happening.
Looking at their confused faces with eyes searching for answers, the older Deku tried to to speak...
"Y-y-o-u, di-ed."
Izuku and Ochaco gasped.
Katsuki was silent.
The whole class was startled.
It was a forcefully made sound, weird to hear, but very clear to identify.
It was Kairi, standing at behind the class.
I.. can at least show you...
She held her breath, put her hands on a praying gesture -- then a burst of bluish and white light enveloped the room.
It takes a lot of effort to move a big group as this to walkthrough a memory; she breathed a lot of air, then everything went frozen.
After that burst of light, it went dark; as if they have their eyes closed.
They heard explosions, sirens, heavy objects falling from certain heights, then a familiar voice.
"Kai...Kairi...Oy, Kairi..."
It was worrying, hoping that the person who he was calling would answer back.
It was... It was Katsuki's...
As if they were the ones who's regaining consciousness, they saw a grown Katsuki geared up in his hero costume, shaking "them" gently.
It's as if they blinked their eyes; they felt that they moved up.
"All for One, call Deku for help." A hand signed.
It went black as if it was cut-off.
"I'll put you on safer ground, make sure you aim those clock things properly this time!" Ground Zero yelled as he went off to fight.
Again, it went black, as if she's trying so hard moving with them in this memory.
"I found you..."
A voice was heard then they all felt a violent quake from underground; they all felt it – falling hard and hit the ground.
Slowly having visuals, they saw a steel pipe lodged in their lower torso.
It went black, the pain transcended; they felt it.
Physically, it was painful... but there is something more painful than the stab.
"No, no, no... damn it. Damn it."
"I'm gonna kill you, Shiguraki Tomura!"
Katsuki leaped forwards the villain.
As quick as light, they saw, Shiguraki Tomura charged head-on to the hero.
His words, too clear to hear..
"It's still a bit uncontrollable..."
Seeing how he grinned.
Watching how he moved his hands on Katsuki's chest wound.
Disintegrating everything his hands went through.
The memories of that last part was somehow in a haze.
But to those who have seen it, it was too clear.
Painfully clear.
They felt themselves rushing; ignoring the pain in the lower torso and the blood gushing out and spilling on the ground.
Running to the falling Katsuki on the ground.
The time went slow... slower... until it froze.
It went black for a second, then they saw Deku and Ochaco behind them.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't protect him, Deku..."
Gasping for air, the people who traveled back with her all came back to the room.
They were in silence.
"How and why did you went back in time?" Katsuki suddenly broke the quietness in the room, "You said you can come back in time, three hours max! I don't get it. How are you back in years? How are you back, physically in time?!" Katsuki stood up as he starts kicking all the things he saw around him. He was confused, angry, and in pain.
The feelings... must have transcended in time.
"Just... who are... you?" as if all his energy was depleting, "why do you make me feel like it hurts a lot?" he started to sob.
The whole class was just silently crying.
Crying because of what they saw.
Crying because of Katsuki throwing a fit, crying.
Before getting the answers, Kairi fainted.
She laid on the ground breathing heavily.
Uravity rushed towards her and floated her; she took her in a room to rest.
"Damn... I need some air," Katsuki walked away from the class.
"Kacchan... I'll... walk with you," the older Deku walked behind Katsuki.
USJ.
This is where the heroes built their fortress during that fight.
Their teacher, Aizawa also known as Eraserhead, with the other pro heroes managed to assist and rescue them from the turmoil that has happened; Deku, the number one hero, felt so disappointed in himself that his teacher still needs to save them depite the power Allmight has given him. How he wished Allmight was still with them today.
Deku and Katsuki.
"Oy, Deku..." Katsuki suddenly grumbled.
"I was happy you met her, Kacchan; she's become friendlier and smiles a lot when she got to be with you," Deku said smiling, hoping it could somehow make light of Katsuki's sinking feelings.
"You were a lot happier..." he added.
"How was she able to go back? She said in three hours max." Katsuki responded as he leaned forward, putting both his elbows on his laps with his hands clasped together.
"Do you know how it started? All for One and One for All?" Deku responded as he lifted his head, "Allmight actually told me this story during our first year..." he then looked at Katsuki.
"Two brothers – All for One who was able to give and steal quirks, and One for All who is qurkless.
All for One used his powers to create imbalance, his brother, One for All is totally against it.
One day, All for One decided to give his brother a quirk. A stockpile quirk which, once passed on to the next successor gain more power..."
"From all the successors of One for All, I have already gained some of the quirks from the other successors; I was able to use them," Deku mentioned.
"So.. okay, that's the story, but what's the catch?" Katsuki asked pinching the middle of his brows; everything that has happened that day was too much.
"All for One..." Deku suddenly closed his fist as tightly as he can, "gives AND steals quirks."
"He was trying to get a hold of Kairi's power..." he said, "Ever since she was a kid; Kacchan, the older you, for some reason, had already known," he added.
Deku stood up, stretched his arms, "She was gone for at least three hours..."
"Huh?" Katsuki looked at the older Deku, surprised.
"It has only been three hours since her jump," Deku looked back at Katsuki and smiled.
