Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me,

happy birthday to me! Here's my birthday gift to you!

?-?

"You sure he said this?" Jack asked her for the third time in the car on the way to their hotel room nearby. Once the horse was settled and was registered, there wasn't any other reason to stay, so they decided to check into the hotel.

"Yes, I'm positive. He said something about a boss and picking horses."

He quickly glanced at her. "Do you think you could grab more?"

Sue nodded. "Yes, if I see them again. And they're not masked."

"Try to, OK?"

"Alright, I just hope he doesn't say anything more infuriating."

Jack smiled a bit. He loved how determined she could be.

By this time, they were at the hotel. Sue looked around with wide eyes. "We're staying here?"

Jack smiled and nodded.

Sue's eyes were wide as they got out of the car at the valet. It was more intricate than the fancy hotel that they stayed in New York in January.

"Welcome." The man said as they walked into the hotel.

Sue looked at the ceiling, which had paintings on the ceiling.

Hudson, and Leland." Jack said to the man at the check-in counter, looking towards Myles, who was coming in to the lobby for the last part of the sentence.

The man typed into his computer, and the booking popped up. "Yes, you are in adjoining suites, rooms 1128 and 1129." He replied, his one hand outstretched to grab a few keycards to activate. He activated them, then handed them to Jack.

"Thanks." He replied, then rounded up his little group.

"If the room looks anything like this, I'm hooked." Sue quietly said to him, smiling.

Jack smiled back. "Well, let's see."

?-?

Mya and Tara drove up together, but would not look like they knew each other when they went in to their interviews that day. If both got the jobs, then they would become quick friends, but they would have to wait and see what happens.

"So, you think we're gonna get in?" Mya asked.

Tara shrugged. "Hopefully."

Mya looked back at the road. They'd already been driving for a while. "How much longer?"

Tara quickly glanced at her phone's GPS. "Few minutes."

"Good." Mya replied.

Sure enough, a few minutes they were at the hotel. It wasn't anything special to write home about, but at least it was better than driving home every night.

"Let's check in, and get ready for our interviews." Tara said, parking the car.

Mya nodded, getting out. They both walked to the hotel, signed in, then got their keys.

"You ready for this?" Tara asked, she and Mya standing in front of their rooms, which were next to each other.

Mya nodded. "Always."

?-?

Sue looked around with wide eyes. Their suite was amazing. She smiled widely as she jogged over to the ginormous couch in the living room area and plopped herself down. "Ahhhhhhh." She sighed, Sunny jumping up as well..

"YOU LIKE?" Jack signed, smiling, coming up to her. She widely smiled and nodded. "Well, you better not get used to this, cause one night here is like half my paycheck." Jack replied.

"Oh, I can get used to just about anything quickly." She replied, sitting upright and motioning for him to sit next to her. "But the most special thing is who you're getting used to it with."

They both smiled at each other.

?-?

"Well?" Tara asked, waiting in front of her hotel room. She had taken her car, and Mya a taxi, of which just dropped her off.

Mya smiled. "I think it went really well! You?"

Tara smiled as well. "Good, I think."

"When do you think we'll hear back?"

Tara shrugged. "Hopefully this week. The sooner we're in, the better."

?-?

Sue and Jack were enjoying sitting on the couch when someone knocked at the door. Jack motioned that someone was at the door, then got up to see who it was.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" he replied.

"Uh, I'm right next door." Myles replied.

"Well, yeah, but I thought we were done today." Jack replied, watching him walk in the suite.

"Hi Myles!" Sue replied from the couch.

"Aw, did I mess up Sue and Jack time?" he sarcastically replied. "Unlike you, I want to get home as soon as possible."

"We want to close the case as soon as possible as well." Jack replied.

"Alright, well, let's get to the track bright and early tomorrow, say 7?"

"Uh, well," Jack replied.

Myles nodded. "See you tomorrow."

Jack and Sue watched him leave, a bit dumbfounded.

"What got into him?" Jack replied.

Sue shrugged, not knowing either.
