Hello xXBloody OneXx here, I've been using this site for awhile and have made a couple stories with past accounts. I've been off for some time, and hope to make this my first story for this account. I don't own any of the characters of RWBY they belong to their respective owner's Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum (RIP). This will be a harem story which will start off with the four main characters, and will increase as the story progresses. If you have a girl in mind just let me know and I will consider your choices. This will be an M rated story for sex, violence, and language.

Sharded Moon
Chapter 1: The Moon Child
The Moon of Remnant, no one knows why or how the moon got shattered. It's one of many legendary mysteries since man has walked this world, despite the moon's fragmentation it's light has guided many from the creeping darkness. Hoping to lead those into it's blackened maw, it's light has been a huge ally of keeping it at bay. Now the darkness seeks to push even further to swallow what light has been keeping it at bay, to counter the growing darkness a small shard of the moon broke free from the rest. Too small for anyone to notice or care plummeting towards Remnant, with it a miracle to help man kind. To either help them battle the lurking dark or be consumed by it.
The shard crashed into a forest with a blinding light, driving any and all living things away from the area. In fear of the unknown and unexpected light hitting the nearby area, gradually receding and letting the night take back the forest. If anyone we're to investigate they'd see that the light started to envelop a small child, of no more than around 7 years old. The young child was a boy with silver hair, and almost pale white skin. His hair almost reaching his eyes that shined like pure gold, as though they could pierce through the cold night themselves.
The light continued to wrap around the boy as though it was protecting him, like it was armor around him. Until it started changing into plain white clothes, wrapping around him like a tunic and creating leather sandals that had straps wrapping around his ankles. And to top it off a thin see-through fabric draping the young boys head, and sides of his face with a golden necklace wrapped around his neck.
He fluttered his eyes open looking at his surroundings around him, seeing the tall tree's and bushes surrounding him. "Wh-where am I" the young boy said observing around him. He couldn't see very far due to it being late at night, he decided to change his focus on himself noting to look around later.
He looked down and grabbed his tunic, feeling the soft fabric in his hands. Moving on to the necklace wrapped around him he saw a little engraving in the necklace, taking it off he turned it towards him to get a better view. Etched on the front of the necklace we're silver emboldened words that read "Phoenix" tilting his head he asked "Is that me?" The boy asked quizically. He put the necklace back on feeling the cool metal wrap back around him causing a slight shiver to run through his body.
"Well I now know who I am but where am I?" The now proclaimed Phoenix went back to looking around him. "I might as well start looking around and see if I can find anything." Phoenix stated starting to walk around the area seeing if he could figure out where he was, or if there was anything interesting around. Walking around for hours he didn't find anything note worthy in this seemingly endless forest, he gradually started to get tired which prompted him to rest under a nearby tree.
*sigh* giving a deep sigh Phoenix looked around while laying down on the cool ground with his back on the tree, finally laying his sights on the night sky. He could see the moon and stars gradually leaving and growing dimmer, as there was a light red hew from the east. Phoenix didn't know where he was or why he was here, but he'd continue his search tomorrow. Giving another sigh he slowly closed his eyes, letting sleep take him.
1 week later
Phoenix had been wandering around the forest for a couple days now hoping to find some sign of human life, or a place to provide shelter. He did find a small clear creek several days ago, and made an improvised camp. He made a little survivors hut and a camp fire after much time and frustration, and lived off of fish and berries he would find. Despite being in the forest for days his clothes remained perfectly clean and intact, even when he himself got dirty.
Seeing night approaching he'd set off in the morning tomorrow and see if he could fine anything the next day. The forest was unusually quiet tonight and it unnerved Pheonix, the usually chipper birds we're quiet and the wind was practically non-existent. This feeling continued for a few hours and Phoenix decided to shrug it off, sitting next to the fire that kept him warm in the cool night.
He observed the fire until he heard slight movement from the left, he looked around seeing nothing out of the ordinary in the area. He continued to look for a while longer until he looked back at the fire, immediately he froze on the spot. On the other side of the fire just outside of the fires glow we're a pair of dark red eyes, looking at him unrelentingly unblinking with a deep malice.
His hands trembled at his side's as he couldn't help but stare back with his own eyes. The stare down between them felt like it lasted for eternity, until the pair of red eyes started getting closer. The first thing Phoenix saw was a white claw like paw enter the fires light, followed by another. With each step it took it's figure grew more distinct, black fur made up it's whole body. With white plates and spikes covering parts of its body, such as it's forearms, shoulders, and legs.
But what really got his attention was the creatures face, a huge snout with red linings going through it. With razor sharp teeth encompassing the majority of it's mouth, this was the first time he's ever seen any such creature like this. Easily towering over Phoenix the creature continued to slowly make it's way toward him, releasing a low snarl.
Phoenix shook himself out of his stupor, realizing just what kind of situation he was in. Thinking quickly Phoenix grabbed a stick from the fire flailing the stick from side to side in hopes of scaring off the beast. "Stay back, don't come any closer I'll hurt you!" Warned Phoenix to the creature, noticing that Phoenix was fighting back the creature stopped for a second before it lifted one of it's claws swiping at him.
Phoenix was caught by surprise seeing the huge claw slash at him from the right, it sent the boy tumbling a couple feet from where he was standing with a stinging pain to his side. "AAHHHH!" Phoenix screamed at the sudden pain, looking down he had three large gashes to his side with blood seeping out. He looked back at the beast with pure terror in his eyes, mustering up what strength he had he got to his feet and took off as fast as he could.
The beast watched him take off running from it, and with a defiantly loud and long roar took after Phoenix.
*ROAR!* Phoenix heard the roar behind him and could tell the creature was chasing him, prompting the young boy to go even faster. Clasping his side he could only wince from the pain, feeling the adrenaline pumping through him. He kept running feeling like hours had gone by since the chase, feeling the adrenaline slowly leave his body. And the gashes throbbing from the pain.
Panting from exhaustion Phoenix collapsed on the ground, looking back in hopes that he had lost the beast. He didn't see it but could tell it wouldn't be to far behind, he ripped his tunic and put it on his side hoping to stop the bleeding. He sat down trying to recover some energy but his thoughts we're a scrambled mess, weather to stay put or keep running.
His thoughts were interrupted thought when he heard a loud crunch, immediately tensing he could tell it was the creatures footsteps it had found him. Turning he saw those familiar red eyes staring at him. Desperately he tried to stand but his legs collapsed on him, he started desperately crawling away as the beast kept moving closer to him.
"Stay away! get back!" Phoenix screamed at the beast while he crawled away hoping beyond hope he could get away, as it approached. He managed to crawl to the bottom of a tree where he turned around, seeing the beast only feet away from him.
'Is this where it all ends?' Phoenix could only think as impending doom was approaching him. 'No it can't end now, I don't want to die like this!' Phoenix thought as he didn't want to accept reality. 'No I won't let it end here!' He could feel new energy flowing through him, right as the beast was opening its dark mouth to consume him.
That energy kept building up inside him "I refuse to die!" Phoenix shouted as the energy inside him bursted out like a stream, with a blinding light consuming the area. Knocking the beast back out of shock and surprise, blinding himself and the beast. When the light started to simmer down Phoenix could feel the wound gradually getting less painful.
Looking down he was surprised to see the wound mending itself with a milky white light, until the wound was gone like it was never there. Looking back up he was surprised yet again, instead of one of those creatures there we're now two. The new one looked exactly like the other beast, however unlike the last one this one was completely white compared to it's black counterpart. It's eyes we're a golden color like his own, and had golden lines going through it's white mask like face.
Shocked he watched the two creatures look at each other, sizing each other up waiting for the other to make the first move. The black one tried getting around to Phoenix but the white one kept blocking it's path, frustrated the black one growled at the white one. As though it was challenging it, the white in turn growled back in response. With that the black beast charged the white, the white creature standing it's ground.
The black one leaped tackling the white clawing and biting at each other as they tumbled around. The black one got a lucky slash on the white's chest, with the white responding by taking a bite of the black's left arm. The black howled in pain as it tried racking it's right claws against the white's face. The white beast having the black's arm firmly in it mouth pulled hard, roaring in pain the black bit at the white's throat trying to get a firm grip.
The white spit out the black's now decaying arm focused on prying the other's mouth open. After a struggle of trying to open the black beast mouth the white, took a lumbering step back. Before biting the black beast throat, gurgling in pain the black beast hastily started digging into the white with it's remaining claw in a desperate attempt to escape.
The white beast right side/torso was getting torn by chunks but refused to let go, eventually the black beast slowed in it's movement's as the whites jaws sank in deeper to it's throat. The black beast let out a final gurgle before it collapsed in the white's clutches, lifeless the black one fell on the ground from the white's maw. Looking on in amazement Phoenix couldn't help looking at the white beast, as it let out loud victories *Roar!*.
Phoenix reaction quickly turned from one of amazement to one of fear, as the white best looked at him and was slowly shuffling his way. The white beast was now towering over his laying figure, Phoenix saw no way to escape as it was directly above him. He closed his eyes prepared to accept his fate, until he heard a loud *thud* then a second later a nozzle of his arm.
He reopened his eye's to see the white beast laying down next to him with it's head in his lap, as though it was protecting him and resting with him. Shocked Phoenix hesitantly put up his arm and reached for it's head, seeing no reaction from the beast he slowly started letting it's head. The white beast instead of snapping at the boy leaned into his touch.
"I don't know if you can understand me, but thank you." Phoenix said while petting the white one, finally the exhaustion catching up to him. Phoenix eye's shut as sleep consumed him, his last sights on the white beast resting with him and the decaying form of the black beast in the background.
Phoenix woke up to the bright rays of the sun, lazily he rubbed his eyes letting them adjust to the morning sun. He looked at the surrounding area, the black beast from last night corpse no where to be seen. He then remembered the white one from last night looking down seeing it's plated head, Phoenix was relieved that it had stayed with him all night who knows if there are more of the other ones out there.
Trying to move it's head off him Phoenix was pushing it in an attempt to break free from his current position with little success. "Come on I appreciate your help but I can't stay here." Phoenix stated with all his might to move the beast, finally eliciting it to wake from it's slumber. Lifting it's head off him Phoenix was able to stand up and stretch his arms he legs.
Remembering the whole matter of event's that happened last night he quickly looked back to the right side of his torso, the diagonal cuts had actually disappeared. Astonished he couldn't believe what he was seeing, no marks or blood anywhere looking back up he looked at the beast. It was merely staring right back at him, he observed the area's it was attacked unfortunately it seems as though his newfound 'friend' wasn't as lucky.
The beast was still missing pieces of flesh from it's right side as well as the claw mark on it's chest, plus the puncture marks around it's neck. What Phoenix found interesting thought was that there seemed to be no blood of any kind, it was as though it hadn't bleed in the first place. It made him curious for as his healed and even replaced the missing flesh the beast wound merely seemed to act as though the flesh in the area never seemed to exist. Did the beast not have blood? What was it made of? These questions kept revolving around in his head until he couldn't come up with an answer.
"Thank you again for saving me I wouldn't have made it with out you." The boy said looking at the creature if it understood him it didn't show it, as it just kept watching the boy. Finding it awkward that the creature kept staring at him he saw it fitting to go back to his camp. While walking back the way he ran the night before he couldn't help notice something following him.
He turned around to see the same white beast following him back to his camp, he kept going but didn't know what the beast wanted. It unnerved him a little to have it follow him, but if it was going to do anything it would have already he reasoned. Going a bit further the boy eventually saw the creek with his makeshift camp still intact, sighing with relief he made his way to his little survival hut and sat down. Shortly later being accompanied by the beast, laying down next to him.
"I'm not gonna get rid of you am I?" The boy chuckled lightly at that, at least he wouldn't be alone now. He decided to remake a fire and catch some fish, since he didn't want to go exploring again after last night. It took Phoenix some time but he eventually caught some and decided to cook it, while eating he looked at his new companion but it didn't seem interested.
'It doesn't it either? What are you?" Pheonix couldn't help but wonder as it showed no regular instincts like any regular animal his seen while out here. Deep in thought he thought back to when the red eyed beast nearly ate him, and what that feeling was when he was knocking at death's door. Finishing his meal he stood up and went by the creek.
Inhaling he took a deep breath trying to remember that feeling of energy from yesterday, breathing in and out he kept focusing on trying to build energy back inside him again. He continued this process for over an hour, with little success. He tried one last time before he called it that's when it hit, he could feel a little bit of that energy building up. No where near as the amount from yesterday but he could feel it growing.
Trying to contain his excitement he kept willing the energy to grow, it kept seeping into his being and grew larger and larger. Eventually it got to a point where he felt he could barely control it, he looked at the creek and had a thought. He willed the energy into his arms and to his surprise his arms got wrapped in a glowing light of energy, he then put one of his arms just on the top of the waters surface then let it release. As if with a mind of it's own the energy rippled across the water surface, causing the water to splash the bank edge's.
Shocked and thrilled at the same time he stared at his other arm still surrounded by the glowing energy. Looking up he saw the white cloaked creature staring intently at him, as if his body was guiding him he moved towards the beast without a thought. Reaching out he touched the beast and couldn't believe his eyes, the energy poured out of his arms and was healing the beast where it had received damage before.
The flesh that was missing suddenly appeared as if it never was clawed away, and the bite and claw marks we're disappearing at a rapid rate. Phoenix didn't want to believe what he was seeing as if it was a trick, but it was physically happening in front of him. The beast eventually completely recovered and had no visible signs of the fight. Phoenix was elated by the idea what he could do with this power.
However like last time it drained him and despite his unwillingness to give in exhaustion was taking him again, laying down in his hut with his newcnew wrapping around him. His last thought was how to use and grow this power even more.
And that's the end of chapter 1 I hope you all enjoyed the starting story of Phoenix. To anyone who has opinions or thoughts please leave a review instructive criticism is always welcome. I figured at least the first chapter was necessary to start off Phoenix story, but now with that out of the way I can start bringing this into the actual story. I have time on my hands right now so expect Chapter 2 to be available soon. To be clear these events are happening ten year's early, so there will be a major time skip between here and the main story. Bye everyone!
