Chapter 24: the lake spirit Mesprit, bringer of human emotion

Not much time went by when I used the poketch to read Glaceons mind as to see what he sees and hear what he's thinking. Glaceon thought as he saw rubble and a destroyed cave "I don't see anyone and by the looks of it, theres no one around" as I expected, the pokemon of the cave isn't here but I can't tell if there are signs of the pokemon being taken or if they escaped. The only thing we saw was that there was a big battle, that being said they probably got Mesprit and took him to their HQ. Sadly, we can't tell if they were finished with the hunt for the spirits. Azelf flew with me as I walked around the lake hoping to find a pokemon that I could ask what happened. The bushes rustled and Azelf went over and discovered a scared Bidoof. I walked over and rested my hand on their head and healed their wounds. Moments later I read their thoughts and it shows what had happened to the place.

the Bidoof was grazing when he went to the lake for a refreshing drink of water to then witness the attack on Mesprit like it was done with Azelf but this was different. No one came to the Mesprits rescue and the pain kept getting worse and worse. It was like the dark blue haired member of Team Galactic enjoyed the suffering the legendary pokemon was going through and a grunt spoke "sir Saturn, we can't kill them, we need them alive for it to work" their leader was Saturn and he turned angered, like a child who had their toy taken from them for misbehaviour and snapped
"I decide how far I go with the capture of these pokemon, I decide when I've had enough and speak out of line again and you'll be receiving the full brunt of my rage" the grunt went quiet as he continued "that's what I thought, we'll go back to find Azelf then we'll head up to get Uxie" the Bidoof shook scared but who could blame him, after seeing most of Mesprits body covered in either blisters or scalds wasa sight no one would want to see.

I used the poketch and talked to Glaceon "get back as soon as you can, we've discovered all the info we need" it didn't take long for him to return and I told him all I had learnt along with Sylveon, both were not happy at all. In fact, both were filled with rage and anger to the Team Galactic and was more determined to stop them once and for all. I told them "we head to the last lake, Lake Acuity where according to the file, Uxie is and next to be targeted. The only thing is, like with Mesprit, we can't tell if they've already been or if they're on their way. So, let's hope they're desperate to find Azelf at his lake" Azelf agreed and sat on my head as I hopped onto Dodrio and headed to the nearest town with Glaceon and Sylveon close behind. It was very late and we had to be at the next last as soon as possible, resting will help get there faster. The closest town was Twinleaf Town and it has a small population but it was perfect to rest before heading out on journeys. we went into an inn and rested in a 2-bedroom rental where we could stay in exchange for money. Glaceon and Sylveon stayed in a room while Azelf stayed with me but he wasn't too comfortable with the pillow so I made a make shift bed for him on the side. Seeing I was willing to help made him feel better, enough to later in the night fly to the bed and cuddle into one of my arms to sleep quietly.
Morning came around and Azelf, who had gotten more comfortable had woken up to an empty bed and wondered if I had left. He flew into the kitchen where I had an apron on and my medical themed tunic off, cooking food for us all. Azelf sat at the table and ate with us, Glaceon and Sylveon always seemed to enjoy my cooking and I called out my whole team and they ate for the task ahead. Azelf saw my team, which consisted of a Blastoise, Delphox, Pikachu, Dodrio, Goodra and a Mimikyu. Azelf seemed more content the more the others seemed relaxed while in my presence, in his mind he started to see that I was different from the humans he was attacked by.
once we ate, I called my team back, except for Dodrio, and headed outside. Thanking the man at the reception as I put my tunic back on and hopped onto Dodrio with Azelf sitting on my lap. I asked "you three ready?" Glaceon, Sylveon and all three of Dodrio's heads nodded as we headed out. We quickly made our way past Jubilifie City, past the valley and up the mountain. It was hard to climb as it was also snowing heavy as we approached route 216. The past few hours passed by quickly and Glaceon felt more at home. The blanket of snow looked nice as we ran by and searched for the location of the last lake, Lake Acuity. As we walked through route 216, the snow fell heavy making it harder to see but with Glaceons aid, we walked through the snow and part way through route 217. It was like a snow-covered meadow surrounded by trees, such a winter locked place and one of tranquil beauty. Walking past the trees we arrived at the lake, it was untouched and as expected the view was one imagined in stories.
Heading over to the lake, I hopped off of Dodrio's back and called him into the poke ball then Glaceon formed a bridge of ice to the small island which we walked on. We had finally arrived and Azelf was more than alittle eager to be reunited with his friend inside.
