Chapter 25: the lake spirit Uxie, bringer of knowledge

Azel flew in and we followed shortly after as we heard the call of Azelf and another pokemon. The cave was large with a similar pattern on the floor to the other lakes, guessing they're the representation of the location of the other lakes within the region. We looked around the cave and saw above was Azelf and Uxie, they were flying in circles around each other playfully then held their tiny hands together and span in more circles. It looked adorable for them to be so happy to be together again.
Azelf flew down and petted my head, must have been a friendly gesture and Uxie, cautiously, followed his friend. It seems like Uxie preferred to be alone at the lake and Azelf seemed relieved to have some interaction with the outside world. While Azelf petted Glaceon and Sylveon, Uxie was more focused on me as I was human, something Uxie hasn't seen in a while. Azelf flew up too and rested his hand on my head ten Uxie did the same. They began to glow and I closed my eyes, they were reading my thoughts and seeing my memories. They saw my most recent memories of the cooking I did for my team and Azelf, how even after seeing Azelf hurt, I didn't force my will on him and he came of his own accord. But as sure as memories go, it turned bad when they saw the cave of Mesprit was reduced to rubble and that he was nowhere to be seen. They were overcome by sadness and teared up for the loss of their friend. They felt it all, even my emotions as I too was saddened by such a sight and felt obligated to hide them. Azelf and Uxie saw my sincere heart and became more comfortable when in my presence. Before they could move their hands away, they dove alittle deeper and saw memories of when I caught the team i currently have. Each one of them was lost, not just in terms of not knowing where they were but also confused, filled with loneliness and rage. The younger me calmed them down and kept a kindness to them. The sight of them being treated well brought tears of joy to both of them, for the pokemon were able to find someone kind and willing to aid their healing. The team I have now joined of their own free will and chose to do battle for the honour of their name. The next thing they knew they had dove into another memory, one which is precious to me.

It was when I was young, around 4-5 years old and I was wondering around the nearest field, the sun was shining so bright and there didn't seem to be a cloud in the sky that day. Everything seemed like nothing could get me down so I decided to go for a run with my long blue hair flowing behind me. I didn't know this then, this was to be the day I'd see my first pokemon and become friends with them.
while running, I came to a stream and in the rushing, waters was a Squirtle. I sat quietly and didn't make any sudden movement. The curious pokemon came closer and playfully shot water to drench me. I just laughed and slowly reached my hand to pet his head. The moment I made contact with the pokemon I began to read his thoughts, this scared me since it had never happened before so I moved back as the Squirtle did too. Moments later as I was heading back the Squirtle followed and I didn't know what to do so I offered him a drink, he nodded and followed me home. Even after such a strange event we began to grow closer and every day for a solid month, he would come back for a drink. Eventually, I found a poke ball in the field and Squirtle decided to go into the poke ball becoming friends forever.

When the memories flashed, Azelf and Uxie both hugged me then I hugged them too. They felt even more comfortable and even like we had been friends for ages from the memories they read. Moments later another pokemon who had used the ice bridge I used to get across had wondered into the cave. He saw me with both Azelf and Uxie then without warning charged and slammed into my stomach as he stood in front of Uxie. Sylveon wasn't happy and neither was Glaceon as they both stood between me and the Shaymin, this Shaymin was different. It had a dark blue grass with a pale blue flower. He snarled as I got up and petted Glaceon and Sylveon. Uxie floated in front of the Shaymin as he didn't want fighting to break out. The Shaymin looked at me angrily as if he was attacking for another reason then he nuzzled Uxie and it became clear they were lovers. Makes sense to defend someone you care for but to outright attack someone without warning or even reason seems both rude and reckless. Azelf flew and checked where I was hit and there was just a small bruise where his head hit. Though Glaceon and Sylveon were mad, Azelf and Uxie were concerned about my well-being and this made the Shaymin even madder. The Shaymin wasn't part of the plan, I sat down and opened the file to read it in more detail to see where this Shaymin was part of the Team Galactics overall plan. Shaymin snarled again but didn't attack, could be because Glaceon and Sylveon were more on guard or could be that he was being watched by his lover, Uxie and he didn't want to upset him.
Even with him just glaring in my rection, I could tell inside under his, somewhat calm yet obvious he doesn't like me look, hatred for me burns deep. He kept his distance and just watched what I was doing but even with the file being on hand, I still couldn't find Shaymin in the plans. Does that mean this Shaymin is something the organisation didn't foresee? And if he isn't part of their plans then what will he do once he discovers the plans?
