"Nice to see you up." Evan said to Sue when she woke up. She glared at him. "Yes, I know you read lips. And you speak. I'd play a recording, but that wouldn't mean anything to you, would it?" he chuckled.
"What do you want?" She asked, her arms tied behind a chair in the middle of the small room, one light dangling from the ceiling, making large shadows, Evan walking in a half-circle.
"At first, I didn't know who you were, but you were too perfect. I figured it out very quickly, and knew it would be easy money, from the government no less!" Evan continued.
"Where are we?" Sue tried.
Evan evilly smiled. "Somewhere where your fed friends won't find you. Even if they do, you will be long gone." He laughed.
Just then the door slightly opened. Sue tried to see the outside, but the man that opened the door was blocking the view. So she decided to read their conversation. It is very hard to read a conversation when a person is sideways, but she tried anyways, and swore that she saw "breathing chamber". Once their short conversation ended, Evan looked at her. She glared at him. "Don't worry, you'll see your friends soon."
?-?
Tara was grateful Sue took a few photos at the party the other night. She was running every single face through facial recognition and seeing if there was anything outstanding on any of them, and if they were planning on any trips anytime soon.
"Got one." Tara smiled at the computer. Walter Haynes just booked a flight to Bali with 3 other men, Aaron Sellers, Victor Modesta, and Damien Rollo, flying out of LaGuardia in a few hours. Once she saw this, she called the New York FBI to go undercover and catch these men. "But that means one thing," her smile leaving with the realization. "Sue, Jack and Mya aren't going with them, and there's only so many things that means." Her sad look turned into one of determination. "That means we have to find them first." She said as she grabbed her phone to tell Myles.
?-?
"Hello, Jack." Evan said as he walked into the pitch black room.
Jack turned towards the voice, but there was only so much he could do, being bound and gagged and all.
"Thanks for the million. We will really enjoy it. You know, we made a lot with our little scheme, but you, you helped our dreams become a reality. We only have one way to thank you." He continued as he untied him, then grabbed Jack's arm, pulling him towards the door.
"Ere ar oo aking ee?" Jack asked through the gag. Once out of the room, he could see Evan's evil smile as he dragged him down the hall.
?-?
The man Evan was talking to came into Sue's room, untied and grabbed her, pulling her out of the room. She screamed and wriggled, but the man was too strong, and he continued to pull, but she continued to wiggle. She actually got out of the mans' hold, and she ran down the hallway, straight into Evan's arms.
"Are you ready to go to your 'husband'?" he joked, then pulled her into the room he dumped Jack into. She ran straight into Jack's arms, relieved. Even though they were still in peril, she felt much safer.
"Et o! A on't ant oo o!" Mya screamed through her gag as the other man threw her into the room as well.
"I believe this is one of your friends." Evan said as she was thrown in. All three looked at each other, but said nothing.
"Come on, Aaron, we'll be late for the flight." The other man quietly said.
Evan nodded. "Coming. Well, see you all!" He said as he walked out of the room. "Dead." He added as the door locked behind him.
Sue looked around. Three of the walls were made of wood, like the room was an attachment onto the building. She also saw a pipe in the top corner. She looked down at her friends. They were taking their gags off. She waved to get their attention. "NO!" She pointed to the pipe, which was starting to blow smoke.
"DON'T BREATHE!"
They looked, and then nodded. Mya looked at the gags. She then waved at Jack. "ME SIT ON YOUR SHOULDERS, PUT." She signed, then waved the gag.
Jack nodded, then pointed for Sue to sit at the farthest corner.
The room was starting to smoke up, but it was still clear enough for Mya to see the pipe. She got on Jack's shoulders, and stuffed the gags into the pipe. Once the deed was done, they joined Sue in the corner. The smoke started to dissipate a bit.
A few seconds after they stuffed the pipe, they heard Evan and the other man starting to cough from across the wall. The smoke was backing up into them. "We gotta get outa here!" One of them said.
By this time, the three couldn't hold their breaths anymore. They took quick little breaths for some air, but the room was still smokey, so they couldn't take large breaths without breathing in the poison. It made them feel a little woozy, but what could they do? Once they heard a car engine start up, Jack got up and started kicking the wood walls. The women came to help, and soon they had a little hole, and they started pulling, each taking a turn to breathe clean air. In a few minutes, they had a big enough hole for them to crawl out.
"Where are we?" Mya asked, looking around the empty field, still feeling sick.
Sue breathed in. "Near water!" she exclaimed, trying to use her nose to follow the scent.
"What are you doing here?" Jack asked Mya as they followed Sue.
"I heard them saying they were going to capture you, and I called Myles, and I guess they heard me talking, cause they grabbed me mid-conversation." Mya explained.
Jack nodded, still processing what happened. "I see it!" Sue said, jogging through some trees to find a medium-sized stream. They crossed, and found that they were on a cliff, but just below them was a road, and a few stores.
"How do we get down?" Mya asked, looking around.
Jack studied the area. "There." He pointed to a steep ramp in the cliff.
The two women looked at him, thinking he was nuts for even thinking about risking their lives like that, but it was their only option, so they travelled around that area to see how to get down. It would be a slow but steady trek.
