Spider-Man/Batwoman Heroes United Chapter 6
Spider-Man and Batwoman made their way to the warehouse that Luke Cage said The Maggia and The Wonderlands were. Guards armed with guns were patrolling or just having a smoke outside. As the patrolling guards were making their rounds, the pair split as Batwoman manages to stealth takedown one wile Spider-Man web yanked the gun and webbed up the other guard. As for the others who were having a smoke, they both quickly and quietly bashed them and beat them up, knocking them out cold.
"Let's go." Kate said.
The two worked their way throughout the building stealthy taking down more guards making their way towards the lower levels.
The two eventually stumbled upon the meeting as accurately tipped.
"Uh. Who's the lady?" asked Peter. "Alice" answered Kate.
"Listen, the only reason we even made this deal is because we agreed to a 50/50 split. The Big Man could've easily turned down your offer" said Hammerhead. "You and mister Lincoln think too small. As much as You and The Maggia has ruled an Iron grip over New York since Fisk has been locked up, I've been making bigger plans. Expansive plans. If I wanted to, I could've easily mowed you down and take over The Maggia too" said Alice. "Now hold up just a second Missy!" said Hammerhead as Maggia and Wonderland crews aimed at each other with guns.
"Shit. If we're gonna do this, we gotta do it fast" said Peter. "Wait" Kate signaled.
"Easy there. I'm pretty sure The Big Man wouldn't want anything to get messy. As far as km concerned, if you even lay a finger on me until this deal is made, Tombstone won't be too pleased seeing a potential client walked out" said Alice. Hammerhead signaled his crew to stand down as does Alice with hers.
"Now!" signaled Kate as she ans Peter leaped down on front of the two.
"It's over Alice! You and The Wonderlands are getting the hell out of New York!" said Batwoman. "Oh really? Under who's authority?" asked Alice. "The authority of Spider-Man!" said Peter. "Remember me bug!" asked Hammerhead. "Painfully" replied Spider-Man. "He put you behind bars before, he'll do it again" said Batwoman. "Ha! Come and try!" challengeed Hammer head as he signals both gangs after them.
Batwoman quickly tossed a smoke grenade as she and Spider-Man went back to back.
"Kinda left us outnumbered huh?" asked Peter. "You can know when they're coming right? When danger happens? Use that so we have a fighting chance" said Kate.
Peter then closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Peter's Spider Sense picked up bad guys from literally ever direction, coughing and trying to search through the smoke.
"LEFT!" Spider-Man called out and Batwoman used her grappled gun to yank a goon over and punch him.
"THREE O CLOCK!" said Spider-Man adn Batwoman threw a batarang.
Spider-Man then hits three goons Auth a backhand and a series of kicks as he webs them all up.
"Keep at it." said Kate.
Spider-Man continued to call out directions as he and Kate one by one takes down goon after goon. As the smoke finally cleared, the piles of bodies filled the floor as Alice and Hammerhead stood and clapped.
"Appreciate the round of applause but your both going to jail now" said Spider-Man.
"Oh if only that were easy" said an unknown voice as a large suited man grabs Spider-Man and throws him sending him crashing on the wall as he fell with pieces falling behind him.
Kate turns as goes for a punch only to do very little and hurt her hands on the process. The man then grabs her hand and slams her onto the ground like a sack of laundry. He then unleashed a punch after punch as her cowl gets more and more damaged with each hit. Spider-Man painfully gets up and looks at a wooden crate to use. He swings it at him only to completely shatter on him.
"Holy shit" Spider-Man said to himself as he swing kicks over to help Batwoman only to be grabbed by the ankle and smacked around on the ground.
"Allow me to introduce myself" said the man. "My name is Lonnie Thompson Lincoln. But people call me The Big Man along with an assortment of others. But my personal favorite? You may call me... Tombstone" he continued.
Spider-Man and Batwoman both weakly attempted to get back up and fight. "So.. You're this Tombstone I've heard about, the new head of crime after Kingpin" said Spider-Man. "Indeed. Although Fisk was a colossal imbecile who had his priorities mixed over a woman, I'm all business. I have no time for... personal matters like that" Tombstone explained.
Batwoman then goes for another punch and Tombstone pushed it out of his way and went for a series of punches and an uppercut, followed by strikes to her abdomen and picks her up by the neck. "So you're the new Bat of Gotham I've heard about. Bit of a rookie compared to Spider-Man. But the so called savior from that Anti Monitor threat a while back. Hmm. All that talk and it's exactly that. Just talk" said Tombstone as he punches her some more.
Spider-Man then goes for another swing kick as he hits him this time. He goes for a rage of attacks as he lays on some punches and kicks onto tombstone until his fist got caught.
"Now that is more like it. You got a lot of fire." said Tombstone as Spider-Man then webbed his face. Tombstone then grabs his other hand and headbutts Spider-Man several times by bringing his body close to him. When he was done, he sent the hero though some more wooden boxes and crates.
Batwoman then makes one last ditch effort by throwing a batarang at Tombstone. But instead he catches it with his bare hand and crushed it to pieces. He picked up Batwoman and threw her too. Right by Spider-Man.
"Now here's the deal. Since you two had the absolute audacity to break into a private event, I could easily finish you both off right here and now and that would be the end of it. But instead, I'll give you both the opportunity to walk away and look the other way. Clearly you both aren't up to the task in stopping us. So think it over. I assume Electro gave you my address. Come find us when you're both done licking your wounds. We'll be waiting" said Tombstone as he singled everyone to leave.
Spider-Man and Batwoman laid there bruised and badly beaten as their eyes closed, passing out from the pain.
2 hours later.
Peter wakes up as he slowly rises from the pile of rubble and wood. His suit in more tears and cuts as his mask now had some tears. He winced in more pain as he begins to feel the brutal beating at the hands of Tombstone. He looks over at Kate as she wasn't looking too good. Her damaged cowl, the tears on her suit and cape. He pulls off her cowl and sees the damage was brutal as bruises and a black eye formed on her face. He then checks her pulse to see if she was still breathing. "Still alive" he said. He then puts her mask back on and carries her on his shoulder.
"Hang on partner. You saved my ass before. Now it's time I did the same for you." Peter said as he carried Kate outside the warehouse.
"Think Parker. Where can I take her?" asked Peter to himself. After a moment to think, it finally came to him. "The Avengers Mansion! If I can take her to the Med Bay, we can both heal up." said Peter as he then holds onto Kate as he begins to swing.
