Spider-Man/Batwoman Heroes United Chapter 7
Spider-Man arrives at the Avengers Mansion in Manhattan as he kicks open the main door.
"Good evening Mr. Parker. How may I be of assistance?" asked F.R.I.D.A.Y. "Get the Med Bay ready" ordered Peter as he still carried Kate. "Right away" said F.R.I.D.A.Y.
Spider-Man arrived at the Medical Center area of the mansion as F.R.I.D.A.Y hits the lights and turns the machines on. "Hang on miss Kate. Almost there" assured Peter as he laid her on the Med bed.
"Shall I run a quick diagnosis on Miss Kane?" asked F.R.I.D.A.Y. "Do whatever you need to do for her and for me" said Peter as he takes off his mask and Kate's. "Mr. Parker I'm also detecting multiple injuries on you. I must ask that you too be treated" said F.R.I.D.A.Y. Peter then lays on the other bed next to hers as F.R.I.D.A.Y activated the machines to treat the two Heroes. "Don't worry Kate. F.R.I.D.A.Y is gonna fix us up and then we'll go right after Tombstone and Alice." assured Peter.
The medical facility in the Avengers Mansion was built state of the art by Tony Stark. Specifically designed to heal wounds and treat injuries that most modern medicine wasn't anywhere near reaching in terms of advancements. Both heroes were treated for broken and bruised bones, Kate for a massive concussion and a fractured skull. As with Peter. F.R.I.D.A.Y did her best to treat the two with fixing everything that was broken and even added some cautionary bandages to help stability with certain injuries. Also appling gel to treat their earlier burn marks from the sabotaged warehouse explosion.
As Spider-Man and Batwoman were resting, F.R.I.D.A.Y also ran repairs on their masks and their suits. She implemented Stark Nano tech to repair the materials of their suits and masks while they laid resting.
2 hours later.
Kate's eyes opened up as she found herself laying in a Med Bay. She groans as she slowly rose. "Where am I?" she asked. "Ah miss Kane. You are in the medical bay of the Avengers Mansion." F.R.I.D.A.Y answers. "How did I get here?" Kate asked. "Mr Parker carried you all the way here. Laid you on that bed and had me treat you for multiple injuries" said F.R.I.D.A.Y. "Where is Parker?" Kate asked. "On your left" Peter answered as he gets up.
"What happened?" asked Kate. "Tombstone kicked our asses good. After I got up first I quickly got us all the way over here. Didn't want to lose a friend. Not tonight" explained Peter. "Guess that's twice I owe ya now" said as she got to her feet and limped over for her cowl.
"Miss Kane, I highly advise you sit down. Although I was able to successfully treat your injuries, you and Mr. Parker and not at one hundred percent." said F.R.I.D.A.Y. "I feel fine. I don't need a damn AI to tell me anything" said Kate as she puts on her cowl and collapsed onto the ground. "Kate!" said Peter as he helped her up. "I think we should listen to F.R.I.D.A.Y. Tombstone really did a number on us. If we're gonna do this, we're gonna need a plan" said Peter. Kate only looked at Peter as she admittedly realize he was right. They needed a plan to take down Tombstone and the Wonderland Gang instead of going in blind with rage and payback on their minds. "How quickly can you get us back out there F.R.I.D.A.Y?" asked Kate. "I've already administered painkillers and medical gel while you and Mr. Parker were resting during treatment. I approximate it should take finish taking effect on 20 minutes" answered F.R.I.D.A.Y.
"Is the main computer online?" asked Peter. "Why yes it is" answered F.R.I.D.A.Y. "Good. We need to hunt some people down" said Kate.
Spider-Man And Batwoman made their way to the main conference room of the Mansion. Peter goes on ahead and activated the computer's global search satellites.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y pull of a search on L. Thompson Lincoln" said Peter.
An image of Tombstone is then shown of the albino mobster. "Run a list of his abilities" asked Peter.
The computer then pulls up the list as it reads.
Superhuman strength: Lifts up to 6 tons
Superhuman Stamina: Muscles that produce less fatigue toxins than of an ordinary human musculature. Can exhert peak condition before fatigue begins to affect.
Superhuman Durability: Highly resistant to physical injuries. Capable of withstanding high caliber bullets, high impact force, temperatures of 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit and -80 degrees Fahrenheit. Skin hard as diamonds.
Master of Hand to Hand Combat and firearms.
"Alright so he's literally hard as a rock and doesn't tire easily. Tough as all hell" said Kate. "Okay, let's see if Electro's tip was right" said Spider-Man as he activated the satellites.
The satellites triangulated in on a building nearby the original Avengers Tower. "Alright. There's where Tombstone is" said Peter. "We're gonna need a plan to take him down. Last time didn't work so well." said Kate. "What did you have in mind?" asked Peter. "F.R.I.D.A.Y pull up a schematic of his genetics and send the date to Luke Fox over at Gotham." Right away Miss Kane" said F.R.I.D.A.Y. "I'm gonna have my friend to make a counter drug for us. It might be our only chance to take him down." Kate explained. "So what do we do now?" asked Peter. "We wait" Kate answered.
Kate and Peter sat in the chairs on the conference room while Luke Fox worked up a counter drug formula.
"So uh hey. I never did get to ask you, how are you enjoying New York so far? I mean besides fighting gangs and Super villains of mine" asked Peter. "No different than my usual nights. Only minus the super powers, super humans and super tech. But close enough" Kate said. "So, you're really still kinda new to this?" asked Spider-Man. Kate takes a deep sigh as she thinks about her answer. "Yeah. First thing you know you go from starting out for a few months to saving the Multiverse and becoming a Paragon. Just trying to do right for my city and them you get pulled into the big leagues" said Kate. "I know how you feel. About six months after I got my powers, Mr. Stark came over to my apartment and tells me he needs to go to Germany and arrest Captain America. Made me a suit and everything. After that he wants me as an Avenger, I go to space, fight a cosmic bad guy, die, get brought back, save the universe, save another earth, met you, then that Crisis becoming a Paragon too. Funny how things work out" said Spider-Man. "You know I could learn a lot from you Peter" said Kate. "How so?" he asked her. "Trusting people more. Maybe even tell a crappy joke or two" Kate smiled. "Well that kinda happened already when you hosed down Electro. Almost like I rubbed off on you already" said Peter as he and Kate shared a laugh. "You know, besides Kara and maybe even Barry, you're quite the positive outlook kind of person" said Kate. "Yeah well, you always gotta know at least one of those types of people" Peter explained.
"Pardon the interruption, but Mr. Fox's counter drug is on it's way via drop pod. I suggest you both head towards the roof and prepare for pick up" said F.R.I.D.A.Y.
Spider-Man takes Batman to the roof of the mansion as they watch the Batjet drop off a pod containing the counter drug. It opens up as it is a mask with the gas as the filter with a note attached to it.
"One Particulated de blocking agent. Get him to take a whiff and he'll be easier to take down. Only made one. Use it wisely. - - Fox" read Kate.
"You ready to take his ass down?" asked Kate. "You bet" said Peter.
Kate packs the counter drug as she leaps off the roof and glides with her cape as Spider-Man does the same and uses his suit's web wings. Ready for the final fight of the night.
