Spider-Man/Batwoman Heroes United Chapter 8
Tombstone was in his office with Alice and Hammerhead. The building where Electro told Kate and Peter.
"Batwoman and Spider-Man proved formidable. Albeit futile on their efforts" said Tombstone. "They didn't stand a chance against ya!.. *ahem* sir" added Hammerhead. "They got off lucky" added Alice. "No. No they didn't. I offered them a choice. If I wanted them dead, it would've been the end of them. They'll be coming for us. It's in their nature" Tombstone explains.
"Once they do, we'll be ready for em!" said Hammerhead. "Anyway... I believe we still have a deal to make, I offer my services to help take down New York and take my rules in its criminal empire and you'll do the same for Gotham" said Alice. "If course. Once your Wonderland Gang help take the streets, The Maggia shall be at your disposal" said Tombstone. "So. Do we finally have a deal?" asked Alice. "We do!" said Tombstone as he extended out his hand.
Hammerhead out of the corner of his eye then sees two figures heading straight for the window. "Uh boss?" Hammerhead said as Tombstone and Alice turn to see the incoming arrival of Spider-Man and Batwoman as they kick through the glass.
Spider-Man webs up Hammerhead in a net against the wall while Batwoman wraps up Alice with a cable wire batarang.
"So. You've both hopefully taken my offer. Will you back off and look the other way?" asked Tombstone. "No chance Tombstone!" Spider-Man. "I assume you both remember our last physical encounter?" asked Tombstone. "Painfully. But as Spidey just said, we don't look the other way" assured Batwoman.
Tombstone then rushed the two as Spider-Man grabbed his arm and lifted him over as Batwoman goes for a kick causing the big man to fall on his back. He quickly recovered as he adjusted his suit. Spider-Man and Batwoman then rushed over as the teamed up to fight Tombstone. As they both went for punches and kicks, Tombstone blocked every attack as best he could while hitting some attacks of his own.
Tombstone hits a back elbow on Spider-Man as he tosses him over his shoulder. Batwoman responds with pulling out flash bombs from her utility belt and a smoke bomb got good measure. Batwoman also pulls out from her belts a pair of Bat Knuckle Dusters as she goes in for punches on the albino mobster. While his vision was blurred, Batwoman goes for punch after punch on all directions. As she kept punching him in the face, her fist gets grabbed as she tries to land another hit. Tombstone goes for a counter Haymaker as Spider-Man swings over and hurls his desk at him.
Tombstone them slowly rose from the rubble as he dusted himself off and cracked his knuckles.
"You still have that counter drug ready?" asked Peter. "Got it" Kate answered. "We need to keep wearing him down. Otherwise the plan is not gonna work" said Spider-Man. "You're both good. But I came prepared" said Tombstone as he pressed a button to reveal a hidden panel of weapons. Chains, pipes, sledgehammer, brass knuckles etc. He goes for the sledgehammer as he readies it. "I very rarely resort to measures like this. But for you two, I'll gladly make the exception" said Tombstone. "When he gets winded from that thing, that's our opening" said Kate. "So what? We just run out the clock with him?" asked Peter. "It's our only shot now" said Kate.
Tombstone runs full force as he swings the hammer. Spider-Man and Batwoman dodge out of the way as they then go for a Best down double team punch combo just before he could go for another swing. He goes for the swing as they both dodge out of the way making Tombstone to use as much of his stamina as possible. Batwoman tosses a flashbang as Spider-Man for for a series of follow up kicks. While still blinded, Tombstone swings and swings the hammer in hopes he'll hit something. As Tombstone slams the hammer onto the ground, Spider-Man webs up his face before he could get his vision again. Batwoman goes again for some more hits with her knuckle dusters as hard as she could before Tombstone could get a hit in.
Spider-Man quickly uses his tazed webs form his Web shooter to stun him. "You had those the entire time?" asked Kate. "In my defense, half the tome I forget I even have these features." said Peter. Tombstone them tearsnthw webs off of his face as he swings the hammer around with rage as he ends up throwing it. Spider-Man quickly dodges out of the way as he sends it back with a web swing over at him. Tombstone stumbles as the head of the hammer hits his head.
"He's slowing down. Almost got him" said Peter. Tombstone then goes for the chains as he swings it at both Kate and Peter. Tombstone gets the chain on Kate as they both get locked into a tug of war. Spider-Man the swings a web around him as he helps Kate pull in him face first. Spider-Man them web yanks the pipes as they hit Tombstone from behind. But the mobster grabs them and hits Spider-Man with a rapid onslaught of hits. He walks over to step on Spider-Man's chest as he was going to beat him down with a pipe. Batwoman then pulled out her grapple gun as she pulled the pipe from his hand and Spider-Man pulled the other form him.
Spider-Man and Batwoman them used tazer traps to lock Tombstone in place as the both take the pipes and go for his head in unison. The blow was enough to leave him dazed and stunned.
Spider-Man quickly goes for the chances as he webs up Tombstone to hold him in place. "NOW!" said Spider-Man. Batwoman pulls out the counter drug as she places the mask over Tombstone and let's it work into his system. After getting in a good amount, Tombstone hurls Spider-Man over his shoulder and threw him at Batwoman as the two clashed into each other and tumbled.
Tombstone pulls the mask and tosses it to the ground as the effects kick in. "What the hell did you dose me with. Felling kinda, funky" asked Tombstone. "An equilizer. Not so superhuman anymore are ya" said Batwoman. "*chuckles* Well played. Still not gonna go any easier on you two." said Tombstone. "Neither will we!" said Spider-Man.
Spider-Man slingshots himself as he kicked up Tombstone as he hits the ceiling. Then Batwoman and Spider-Man grapple him down as they Slam him to the ground.
Tombstone begins to weakly get up. "You both really should have just taken my offer. Now you both have a life long enemy. We would part ways and never see each other again. You both couldn't beat me. I was nearly about to win. No matter. Shall we continue?" asked Tombstone. Batwoman readies her knuckle Duster on her glove.
"We'll never let you win. Never!" Batwoman said as she and Spider-Man go for the final punch as the force was enough to knock down Tombstone and sent him flying against the wall as his head hits it hard.
Kate and Peter groan in pain holding themselves as they stood to their feet over their defeated foe.
Later the police arrive as they make the arrests thanks to the help of Spider-Man and Batwoman.
"We've been after this guy got a very long time. Thanks to you two, New York can sleep easy knowing The Maggia will be off the streets" said Captain Stacy of the NYPD. "All in a night's work officer. But frankly I wouldn't have done it without my friend Batwoman." said Spider-Man. "What can I say? It's been a hell of a night" said Batwoman. "Well the city of New York is on your debts. We'll take it from here." said Captain Stacy.
Spider-Man and Batwoman then leaped out of the building and glided off into the night.
