chapter 36: thief life in question

We made our way out of Canalave City and with our plan we walked down route 218. As unlikely as it was to work, we were going to re-infiltrate the Team Galactic as one of the members who came in response to the break in afew days ago. It took a long while to get through the cities and routes between us and Eterna City. Fortunately, the place was filled with Team Galactic members and there were places that the newest members were getting uniform. The shortest way to Eterna City was through Jubilife City and head north past the Valley Windworks and east from Eterna forest.
we walked into the same store the other newest recruits were entering and applied for their uniform and their hair dye, I wasn't going to use it since i still had the wig but this way I blended in more as I put the uniform on and the wig. We entered their HQ as the other newest members were being introduced to the leader, Saturn who was away and instead the sub commander Mars. She talked about the leaders of the team but I wasn't paying attention while the guy next to me kept bothering me.
"keep focused or she'll bite your head off" he whispered with concern and I just shrugged. Mars glanced over and shouted "keep quiet!" he kept quiet and my caring levels to the team was at one of its lowest. It was a shame to see someone as nice as the random grunt next to me be used by such a controlling group of people. Mars continued to explain "due to the break in and stole information, we need to relocate the files that we have left. So, we'll be moving everything from here to the other base in Veilstone City and from there we'll select the best of the best to join us on our mission" some of the grunts looked worried, especially the grunt next to me as she continued "we have word that we'll be getting the lake spirits soon since Saturn is personally heading up to Lake Acuity. That means there will be no mistakes and I expect none from anyone here while he is away or from the selected few. Any questions?" everyone was timid and I still couldn't be asked when it came to them.
Me, Flareon and Vaporeon started moving boxes around with the other grunts and this lasted most of the day. Sadly, while we were searching through the boxes we saw some mentions of Giratina but nothing conclusive. It seemed like anything about the details of that particular pokemon was all classified to the people in charge, even names were mentioned and they were Saturn, Mars, Jupiter and Charon. The other grunts seemed exhausted and by the time the sun set they were all relieved to head back home, especially since they lived near the area. the guy grunt who talked to me earlier asked "since we have some time, why not come and hang out somewhere?" I declined his offer and walked away, I wasn't the kind of person to outright refuse without reason but I'm also not the type of person who'd just go out with anybody. We signed into the nearest inn and I lied on the bed exhausted from both the long travel and hard day of putting boxes away. Vaporeon was getting restless, it had been days since the last time she had pranked anyone and she was resisting as much as she could. Flareon was trying to keep her calm but wasn't doing very well with her as she ran and dashed around the room in her frustration. I sighed, the next day the new recruits were going to get ready to transport everything over and I honestly hated them all. Some I feel sorry for but not that much.
the next morning, Vaporeon was laying across the floor flat out and Flareon was curled up next to her making sure she was both warm and safe. I prepared a meal for us all, even my team, and they all ate the food with joy. Vaporeon was still sleeping when I came over and put food next to them, Flareon was awake and nibbled lightly as the food. He liked my cooking and so did she, I liked treating them all like more than just pokemon. To me they all are like family to me. When we finished, we headed to the building around noon and started to take the boxes from the base int a truck for it to be taken. I was beyond thankful that we didn't have to take the boxes there by hand, I'd have died carrying all that there.
we all got into the big truck and with the new recruits, we all took them to veilstone City in no time, it was so much faster than walking. As we arrived at the HQ in Veilstone City there was a helicopter with a huge container being carried by it and driving the helicopter was being flown by Saturn. he must have come from that lake and caught the lake spirit. Mars walked into the building with all of us following and standing at the desk was Jupiter, I was greatly surprised that not only did no one recognise me but neither did 2 of the 4 leaders even if 1 of them I haven't met or seen yet.
Jupiter shouted "our leader Saturn has returned with all 3 lake spirits and the scientist Charon will be taking them into the lab, word of warning, don't bother him unless you want to be a test subject too" the grunts around me flinched and I just didn't care. The container with the lake spirits in was taken into lab down below into the basement and now that I've gotten this far I have to make a choice. Tank helped me before now should I help him with what he was doing or should I just go my own way and pretend this never happened?
