Chapter 45: the winter Shaymins pride

With Lace, we both entered the cave but just as we entered, we heard a cry shout "STOP!" when we turned to the entrance there stood the blue Shaymin, winter themed but sadly not by nature. He kept shouting "I'm here to rescue my lover and you're going to get out of my way" Lace looked annoy at the Shaymins words while I was exhausted by the same ignorance he always has displayed while I'm in his presence. I turn to him and said "you neither have the capability nor the skill to make the rescue successful" he glared angrily and was shacking from how much he wanted to attack with everything he had as I continued "you'd be smart if you left this to us, we're far more capable than you are and we know what we're doing" he growled and glared more.
Lace told me "you sort him out and I'll go on ahead" I agreed and told her "ok, but take Glaceon and Sylveon with you. They have poketch on them which will allow me to talk to them and vise versa so if your pokemon need medical attention, they'll let me know" Lace smiled and headed further into the cave with Flareon, Vaporeon, Glareon and Sylveon close behind. I stood there with the Shaymins rage growing. He shouted loudly "YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME!?" I shook my head and looked into his eyes replying "no, I don't think I can, I know it" my words hit his pride as he growled saying "fine, I wanna take on your water type if you have one" I held out and threw my pokeball up to call forward my Blastoise. As per the Shaymins request I called out my water type knowing he wanted that as an opponent because grass is strong against water.
Shaymin growled and started to glow, it surprised me that such a pokemon would be glowing then his form changed from the grass looking shaymin into what can be described as a small grass dog with wings on his head. Looking at it, I knew he changed into his sky form and he cried out "magical leaf" leaves appeared around him as they flew in circles around him acting as a defensive barrier. I wondered what he was up to as he shouted "sweet scent" from his body, pink spores started to appear and flood the room we were in as both me and Blastoise covered our mouths with the room filling up with the sweet smells. He laughed and said "the magical leaf will keep the spores circulating around the room making it impossible for you to evade my attacks or escape the pink fog. Also, the fog will also stop you from attacking me too, so I have a great defence and every means to attack" with the pink fog blinding us both and knew what to do the moment he chose to us the spores as a defence tactic against me.
I told Blastoise "use ice beam" Blastoise shot a small ice beam to the cave wall, this scared Shaymin since he had no idea Blastoise had ice type it missed and formed an ice crystal on the wall, Shaymin laughed and said with ignorance "see? You see? Your attacks can't do anything while I'm doing this. You're just a pathetic trainer who's in over her head and you need to see that all Urix needs is me and no one else" it was clear he was letting his insecurities of abandonment and trust issues be shown and takes the blame out on other people, this only means that I have to defeat him and shatter his own false image to bring him out of his delusions. I moved back saying "Blastoise, now use rapid spin" he withdrew into his shell and started to spin rapidly as the Shaymin kept laughing but the pink fog of spores was also spinning in the same direction he was spinning.
Shaymin asked "why bother when you can't do a thing to stop me? You just can't win so just give in" as those words left his lip's he felt a cold breeze sweep past his wings and he looked around. He was filled with confusion as it grew colder and colder. He looked to the magical leaves and to his deep surprise, they were both frozen and shattering. With deeper confusion he looked around at the pink spores. They were like frozen pink snowflakes fluttering around the room and he began to feel a deep worry as Blastoise's rapid spin drew the frozen spores to the centre of the room. I was standing there calmly which angered him more and his eyes widened when part of his wings and body started to freeze up.
I stood there and said "grass is vulnerable to ice type attacks; your defence was good but not impossible. You made several mistakes, first was using magical leaf to circulate the spores from sweet scent because it blocked your vision from what I did. Second. You made the assumption my ice attack was blindly trying to get a direct hit when my real target was the wall behind those magical leaves. Lastly, you over estimated yourself believing yourself to be stronger and far more capable than you really are, self-confidence to a degree is also a major weakness" he shivered as the ice started to cover most of his body and as it shatters, it dealt more than heavy damage changing Shaymin from his sky form back to normal.
He fell and lay there shivering more trying to keep warm from the cold. I called blastoise back into the pokeball as I walked to him and said "be thankful I was your foe, if it were anyone of Team Galactic, you'd surely be killed long before now. Keep in mind, they were willing to face titans, the ones that represent whats found in nature as well as what represents the mind. Do you think they'd be scared of you who is only good at purifying pollution?" he growled lowly with rage as I turned and walked away. I left to catch up with Lace as fast as I could leaving the Shaymin behind.
