Chapter 53: Saturn vs Josh
Josh:
The Crobat perched onto Saturns arm as he sent 3 of his pokemon forward, I could tell without using the pokedex that his Tyranitar was a rock dark type and his Hydreigon was a dark dragon type. The Tyranitar is weak to fairy, steel, water, grass, bug and ground types with double damage while its weak to fighting with quadruple the damage. The Hydreigon is weak to fighting, bug, ice and dragon with double the damage while fairy is quadruple. Analysis, fight Tyranitar with a fighting type and the hydreigon with a fairy for the best match ups.
Saturn laughed and called out "if you won't start then I guess I will, Hydreigon use dragon breath. Tyranitar use sandstorm" the Hydreigon wasted no time in launching its dragon breath on my dragonite and Tyranitar kicked up a sandstorm to provide cover for them both. I called out "Dragonite, use twister" Dragonite began to rotate its body and create a twister. This blocked out the dragon breath attack and despatched of it quickly. I continued "Gyarado, use rain dance" the sky filled with dark clouds as it began to rain down. The sand mixed with the rain and became too heavy to continue its storm, giving me back the advantage. At first it seems like nothing has changed, however, based on what Nei said during her fight with him, he took advantage of that Shaymins actions to get the best of her. Who knows what kind of tricks he may have planned.
I got an idea and I called out "Dragonite, fly into the clouds" it was as if my plan was conveyed in that instance and Dragonite took to the sky, flying into the dark cloud as it poured. Saturn looked annoyed and ordered "Hydreigon, intercept, make sure that dragon falls from the sky" the Hydreigon flew after Dragonite. I told "Charizard, fly up and use all firebased attacks" Chrizard flew after the other 2 dragons into the clouds. My focus went to the Tyranitar and my Gyarados on the grounds. The Leafeon and Jolteon stayed close to me and felt safer there. I said "Gyarados, use hydro pump" water gathered in the mighty jaws before shooting the water to the Tyranitar. The Tyranitar held its arms up and blocked it. The attack dealt double damage to them and pushed them back. The Tyranitar held its ground against the water and was able to hold off long enough. Without giving time to recover "now use aqua tail" water surround Gyarados's tail and swung at Tyranitar. The attack came too sudden and sent them flying back hard, barely holding on.
When Tyranitar got up, Saturn as furious and shouted "worthless wench, use rockslide" the exhausted Tyranitar stomped the ground as rocks were sent into the air and hurled themselves at Gyarados. I told "Gyarados, use hurricane" the Gyarados flew in a circle creating a hurricane which then caught hold of the rocks in the vortex and send them back to Tyranitar. They blocked as the rocks smashed against their arms enough to burst on impact, given how much damage it has taken, I can only admire its resolve even if its misplaced. Gyarados roared in pain as Saturns Weavile was using its dexterous nature to get off strikes to Gyarados. The weavile had combine ice shard with its claws to attack physically with the ice. This made it harder to hit as well as exploited Gyarados's ice weakness to the maximum. I called out Lapras and said "quickly use surf" the Lapras waves its fins and sent a large wave of water to both Tyranitar and Weavile.
The Weavile jumped back, catching the wave at its weakest however the Tyranitar caught the wave at it strongest and was nearly sent off the mountain, on the edge inches away from falling and inches away from fainting. The feat it was extraordinary. Looking up a saw the flashes of the fire-based attacks Charizard, Dragonite and Hygreigon were attacking with in the midst of the clouds. My plan was working. The Weavile kept up the strikes on Lapras, slashing away with the ice claws with Lapras defending with the shell on its back. It seemed like it was a stalemate until Jolteon rushed back and slammed hard into the Weavile. I was surprised by this as much as Leafeon was.
Jolteons spikes wiggled and shot to the Weavile a pin missile and the Weavile used ice shards. Both cancelled each other out with Jolteon using this chance to get up close. Weavile leaped back avoiding close combat but this didn't stop Jolteon from trying with every tackle he tried and failed. Weavile used icy wind and pushed Jolteon back with his fur covered in a layer of frost. He shook it off used quick attack with thunder fang. The Weavile lost track of Jolteon before he bit hard into Weaviles arm. The Weavile let out a cry of pain before tossing Jolteon off. Saturn called back Weavile and sent forward Toxicroak. Looking to the pokedex I had on hand, Toxicroak was a fighting and poison type meaning the weaknesses were flying and ground with double damage and psychic with quadruple. Saturn told "Toxicroak, use sucker punch" with such speed, it quickly reached Jolteon and gave a hard jab to the stomach and sent him flying to me.
Jolteon whined in pain but as I looked closer, he had been poisoned by the Toxicroak. I didn't have an antidotes on me and the person who did wasn't around to heal. I had to think, and I have to end this even quicker or I may lose Jolteon. Leafeon stayed close to Jolteon, defending him despite having the type disadvantage. I sent Gyarados back out and watched as Saturn laughed "your Jolteon doesn't look too good, shame by the looks of it, he will die very soon" tauntingly he spoke. I knew he can't last forever and with ideas forming in my head, this battle won't last much longer.
