Chapter 54: the descent begins

The cloud were grey and with the occasional flash of light from the fires that raged and swirled around overhead. The aerial battle was heating up and I hoped that both of my pokemon could handle Hydreigon, since it has 2 heads for hands and they can use flamethrower too. Their loud roars could be heard, even in the depths of the cave and it echoed through the caverns.
The Leafeon stayed close to the Jolteon and her leaf features swayed scared to his fate. With how things are going, I don't know what kind of actions to take and with Gyarados facing off against 2 of Saturns pokemon I'm at a big disadvantage. The hood of my hoodie wiggled slightly and my confusion of this only grew. a small Shaymin emerges from my hood with a pecha berry in its mouth and went to the Jolteon. After being fed the berry the Jolteon recovered from the poison status effect. I'm happy that he returned from the illness and no longer will suffer. I called out "Gyarados, use hurricane" Gyarados span its body like before and the hurricane formed around the Toxicroak, dealing double damage. Weavile took the chance to strike using its claws with ice shards and Gyarados was barely holding on. I called out "Gyarados, use thunder wave" the lightning was sent as a wave and hit Weavile, paralysing in a single move.
Suddenly, a fire struck Weavile from the sky and dealt out heavy damage. Ice is weak to fire type pokemon and that attack sent the pokemon flying back. I got an idea and called back Charizard along with Gyarados. Saturn was furious and shouted "coward, calling back your pokemon just because you're afraid of being defeated by someone whose better than you" it was clear he didn't know what I had planned for him but I'm thankful that he's oblivious. I picked up the Leafeon and the Jolteon before stepping back. Saturn smirked "now the coward retreats from the battle he started? I shouldn't expect any less" he mocked and the Shaymin climbed back into my hood.
His Hydreigon flew down and roared loudly. Saturn appeared overconfident as the fruits of both my Dragonite and Charizard was about to pay off. Smiling as the Leafeon and Jolteon looked confused as he wanted to join the battle once again. The sky remained dark and the flashes of lightning illuminated the spear pillar and we all looked up as my Dragonite was surrounded by naturally charged sparks. The sound of crackling thunder echoed along side the sudden flashes of light. The confidence that Saturn had was now replaced with a deep confusion and the sight of his Hydreigon injured made me ever more sure that next step would guarantee my victory. The sky sparked with more flashes of lightning as the antenna was latching onto the sparks and drew that lightning in. the ground sizzled slightly with static filling the air, so much so that our hair stood on ends and a tingling sensation overcame our bodies.
I called out "Dragonite, use thunder" the sounds and lights vanished. Just as suddenly as it appeared, there was a clash of lightning that came crashing down into the ground in front of us. The water amplified the lightning an made it strike everything the water touched. The Weavil, Hydreigon and Toxicroak was weakened enough to be shocked and sent flying back with heavy second degree burns. With the range they were beyond lucky that second degree wasn't third or worse fatal. Saturn was shocked and furious with how the situation played out. The water on the ground from all of the water type attacks evaporated on contact with the extreme surge of lightning and what remains was the scorch marks.
Saturn shouts "you made a mockery of me! Give me a reason why I shouldn't ring your neck?" before I could answer the question, I any way, 3 lights from the cave rushed to Saturn and his expression changed completely. He laughed as the light made a triangle and when I looked, I saw the pokeballs containing the titans where in a square shape. I said "you don't have the items to be able to perform the summoning and without them, the layout is useless" he kept laughing and reached into his bag to reveal the items mentioned, the Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb and the Griseous Orb. The 3 orbs glow and start to resonate with the pokemon to form what can be described as a magic circle. The wind carried the vibes of anguish with nature throwing itself out of balance, the pokemon growing more and more savage with each one crying out in fear. Lace, Tank and Nei were not too far behind when the circle chimed and with each passing chime, the staircase became more visible behind Saturn.
The staircase appeared to be made of white glass and leadup higher. Atop of the stairs was the god of all the pokemon, Arceus, the creator of the pokemon universe. The resonance continued with, Saturn approached and called out "I summoned you to our world, I deserve to have the promised wish to be full filled, now give it to me now" Arceus gazes down onto the leader and with the ring on its back glowing bright, the remainder of Saturns pokemon team was pushed back and knocked out cold. It was as if Saturn had been rejected by god himself and was refused to have his wish granted even before hearing it out. The light continued to shine and shone brighter. Arceus's gaze moved over to myself and my friends behind me, as if he was staring not at us but deeper than the skin and passing judgement with such piercing eyes. I was left speechless as was everyone else behind me, even Saturn was beyond words for the pure shock of the events unfolding before him.
The question that me and my friends thought in unison was what would a person wish for when presented with this opportunity? None of us thought we'd have the chance to ask for the wish and Saturn continued "I demand you give me my wish" Arceus stared quietly as the tension grew.
