Chapter 4:

"Mr. Malfoy, I was told that you were gripping the blade of a knife in potions class?" Madam Pomfrey walked over him, one of her assistants had already placed a healing spell on his palm so there wouldn't be a scar.

"My hand slipped." He said, sitting up to collect his bag.

"Well, Mr. Malfoy, I would recommend that you take some lessons on holding a knife because you also broke the handle. Do we need to discuss anger management classes again?"

"Since those went so well the first time." Draco muttered under his breath. He walked out into the hall and saw that everyone was heading towards the dining hall for lunch.

"Have you seen the tits on her though? Man, I get them all to myself." Draco started to roll his eyes at the sound of some loser student talking about tits that he probably never actually seen before but the voice made him stop in the hallway.

"Aren't you and Hermione broken up?" A fourth year asked Ron, who leaned up the wall while trying to chill as he entertained the group of boys.

"Please, we were on a break for a little bit but she won't be able to keep her hands off me."

"WEASEL!" Draco shouted, he couldn't stand listening to Ron talk about his love like that. It was time to end this once and for all.

"Oh my god, what now" Ron stood up straight, trying to find the fact that he was terrified of the look that was in Draco's eyes.

"You. Me. Forbidden Forest." Draco hissed, the group of people was now growing in size at the idea of an underground duel.

"Sundown." Ron said, he and Draco stood nose to nose with only anger silence between them.

"Ron?" Harry pushed through the crowd, seeing Draco and Ron in the middle of a staring contest. "What are you doing?"

"Nothing, ready for lunch?" Ron turned and started walking with Harry towards the dining hall. Harry would never approve of an underground duel but he wanted to stick it to Malfoy once and for all.

"Hey, leave Hermione alone." Harry said to Ron right before they walked into the dining hall.

"Excuse me?" Ron stopped him, Ginny and Hermione was already sitting at one of the tables.

"You messed her up when you left. Just because you are back, does not give you the right to her again."

"I came back to win her back, I fucked up. I regret leaving her so much." Ron said, he needed to convince Harry that he had changed. He knew how much Hermione meant to him and vice versa.

"I understand that but give her time." Harry gave him a small smile and they started walking towards the table again.

"I need to go." Hermione said as she saw Ron moving closer to the table. She didn't want to risk another panic attack.

"Wait, please, stay!" Ron said, rushing closer to her as he saw her start to leave.

"I don't want to stay." She hissed, looking down at the floor.

"Please, I want to talk." Hermione has been dreading those words.

"Talk about what?"

"Please, let's go over there." Ron waved to a quiet corner of the table. She thought of her options and decided that she should try to hear him out.

Don't.

Draco's voice growled through her thoughts. Hermione straighten up and just started walking over to the spot that Ron had pointed to.

You aren't the boss of me.

I said Don't.

Hermione looked slowly around as she walked to the table. Draco was nowhere in the dining hall.

"So, how have you been?" Ron said as they sat down across from each other.

Love, I know you don't want to talk to him. Just leave, come to our room.

You don't get to make decisions for me. Get out of my mind if you don't want to listen.

"I have been fine. Ron, why are you here? When I last spoke with you, you said you were going to travel with Lavender instead of finishing your last year."

"I know. I am sorry for how I walked out on you. It was unfair." Ron whispered, reaching out to touch her hand but she sat back so he couldn't reach her.

Love, you shouldn't stress yourself out. Don't listen to him.

"Ron, you left me. Left me in a new apartment that I could barely afford on my own, left me to pick up the pieces that should have never been broken in the first place." Hermione was feeling the anxiety come back but she fought to stay focused on finally getting her feelings out towards Ron.

"I am…"

"Stop saying sorry. Stop trying to make everything seem like nothing ever happened. You left me. You said that I was horrible for you in bed and you ran off to be with Lavender. I don't care if you hangout with Ginny and Harry, but stop trying to force me to come to terms with things that I am not ready for!" Hermione stood up and started to storm off. She was shocked that she didn't hear Draco's voice in her head.

"Hello there love." Hermione was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't even hear the door open to the Head Common Room. Draco untied his tie and took off his robes as he walked closer to the back of the couch. Her hair was tossed over the back and he could see her robes tossed on the chair next to them. As he moved closer, he saw that she was wearing leggings and a over sized t-shirt. As he stared closer, he could see that she had also removed her bra so her nipples stuck out a bit more under the shirt.

"What do you want?" She groaned, she was not in the mood for any games tonight.

"You." He whispered, his hands started massaging her shoulders. She moaned a little bit at the touch, making him get harder with lust. He loved the sound of her moan, especially since he caused it.

"Just relax love." He said, massaging the tension away. She stretched out a little bit more, moaning slightly louder while her t-shirt rode up a little bit higher so he could see some of her midriff.

He leaned down and started massaging lower while he breathed in her scent. Her eyes were closed and she leaned her head to the side so that her neck was exposed. He started placing small kisses along the side of her neck, his erection was now pressed against the back of the couch. Suddenly Hermione jumped, out of his reach and he had to catch himself.

"Stop. You need to stop." Hermione said, while out of breath. She fixed her t-shirt and started walking to her room.

"Love." Draco started walking towards her but then saw the sunset out the nearby window. He muttered under his breath and started rushing towards the door. Hermione looked at him, confused by his sudden change in behavior.

"Where are you going?" Hermione asked, she regretted asking him because she shouldn't care but she did. She didn't really want to be alone. Draco stopped at the door and turned to look at her, he could hear her thoughts. He didn't want to leave her but he needed to deal with Ron. He suddenly stormed towards and took her face between his hands. She gasped as his mouth pressed against hers, silencing her with a deep kiss. Her hands moved up to his hair, their kiss becoming more and more urgent. He pulled away first, still kicking himself that he was ruining this.

"Seriously?" Hermione said, getting angry now that he had pushed so hard for her but was now stopping her.

"Please. Wait for me, I will be back in an hour." Draco begged, he placed a small kiss on her forehead and rushed to the door.

"Fucking finally." Ron yelled, the crowd cheering as Draco walked down to the center of the circle. His wand was twirling between his fingers as he casually walked over to Ron.

"So what are the rules?" Ron asked, his robes were tossed to the side and his wand was tight in his hand. The Slytherin side of the circle broke into loud laughter until Draco waved for silence.

"Why would there be rules? This isn't class." He sneered at Ron. Blaise walked in between the two boys and waved his own wand. A countdown started above their heads as Ron and Draco readied their wands. As the countdown reached one, Draco ignored the feeling of his mind connecting with Hermione's.

"CONFUNDO" Ron yelled.

"EXPELLIARMUS". Draco yelled.

Both spells missed the other person, Draco moved his hair out of his eyes and decided he needed another trick.

"LEVICORPUS" Draco yelled before Ron could give the countercurse. Ron's body spun upside down in the air, his wand fell to the ground. Draco stalked closer but suddenly he heard a yell from behind him.

"Petrificus Totalus!" Hermione yelled, pointing her wand at Draco. His body completely froze and was bonded together by invisible ropes.

"Expelliarmus!" She yelled, collecting both wands in her hand. The crowd started to boo until she turned to face them. "Anyone who is still here in 10 seconds is going to be reported for trespassing and hosting an underground duel."

As soon as she started to countdown, everyone started to scatter. She turned to Draco and Ron, she whispered a countercurse and they both unfroze.

"Hermione…" Ron started to say but she held up her hand.

"Listen closely. I am going to walk away and I will keep this to myself as long as neither of you talk to me again." She said with confidence that Draco found to extremely turn him on. She turned on her heels and started to walk away. As she left, Ron started to follow her but was suddenly frozen in place. Hermione had casted a temporary spell on him so that he couldn't speak or walk. Draco stood silently, just waiting until he got the feeling again.

Love, I am sorry.

I am serious, Draco, you fucked up and now you have to deal with it.

As soon as she said that, he was pushed back out of her thoughts.
