Percy's new office slightly different with the previous one.
While in Barty's office, Percy share his working room with the office's general secretaries, in Fudge office, Percy got his own room, where the privat Minister's floo located, and his room connected with the Minister office for the Minister's convenience.
Percy is actually filling the post that previously occupied by Ms. Jane, Dolores Jane Umbridge, the Minister's senior undersecretary, who get promoted to a new special post.
While she preparing her new duty, she also still asessing and mentoring Percy.
Dad may accusing Fudge recruit Percy to make him a spy on Dumbledore, but Jane's proofing that Percy got his new post not exactly like Dad's suspicicious. Jane will not picking any replacement less than Percy. Percy's well arranged report on Barty's case is what make her snatch him rightly as her subtitude, while, she herself will do more lethal move on Dumbledore.
Ha! But, Percy will just laugh at Dad's petty accuses.
Percy sometimes has to pick some documents from Jane, as the Minister also make her as one of his advisors as the former Minister asisstant.
Jane, is a reputable strick and mean secretary in the office, and kind of scary. Percy feels uncomfortable and has to hold his shudder to meet her. Percy halfly gratefull he had been graduated so he will not nowhere under Jane's new post autority, and also halfly feel sympatetic toward the babies left in the school. But may be they really need somebody like Jane for their own good.
Barty teach Percy to learn peoples arround him carefully, all from the best to the worse.
Percy knows Fudge is not a fully competent Minister just in a few days.
While Barty is a hardworker who aiming his goals with his competencies, Fudge is a trully politician who aiming his goals with diplomacies and negotiations. But his weakness is he depends on too many advices arround him. He may think he's rulling his seat powerfully, while actually his allies controling him like a marrionette.
Percy know he will last no long, specially with Dumbledore's active campaign of "You-know-who-has-come-back" that he offend hardly and lead him into some reckless steps.
But as Aeschylus said, excessive fear is always powerless.
Like that day, Fudge fatally set a full board of wizangamots trial just to adjusticated Harry's inaproriate use of magic and put his self in the JUDGE seat.
Percy did not so sure which is more absurd, the exessive act of Fudge or Harry's claim that he got attacked by two DEMENTOR in his muggle residential.
However, Percy still feel hurt of his father's mean accusation, but Percy lost of interest to clarify it. So to defend his self, he knows he have to fight alone. And Percy has already used to be a single fighter like forever.
Percy start build his own safety net. He asessing peoples arround him and further observing who is potential candidates for the next Minister. Percy securing his potition with his hard works so noone will able to questioning his competency. But, he learn just hardwork could not securing Barty from his tragic fallen. So Percy improvised with Fudge's slimmy moves, to built a reliable network. Percy enjoying everymoves Fudge doing which accidentaly open new networks for Percy.
Percy used his young age to play a hardworking-innocent-asisstant impression, and he is proofing his self as a reliable-trusted-aides, Fudge start lets Percy handle more and more secrecial tasks like bring and take the documents to his allies. And start towing him arround to meet peoples here and there, to make his self look more important and grandious. Percy obidiently following with as innocent as possible face.
But politics in not neutral. Its demand peoples to sides, but its rise up and falling down along with the allies.
To be stay firm, needs a great ability to switch feet as smooth as possible.
So Percy build as much as securing net possible.
Fudge may fallen tomorrow, without Percy.
Dumbledore may rulling tomorrow, but he can not shove out Percy.
Even if You-know-who really come back, Percy will stay alive and grip his post fine.
