A little while later, Amy said to the Doctor and Maddison. "I'm going the jump into the shower." She looked at them. "Till the smell is gone."
"Yeah, I'm also going do that." Maddison said to her, then she looked at the Doctor. "Do we have rooms?"
"Yes, the TARDIS can show it to you two." The Doctor looked up to her. "Walk into the hallway, then the TARDIS shows it further where you two need to go."
"Thank you, Doctor." Amy and Maddison said almost in unison as then they walked out of the console to find their room.
Not much later they find their room as then Maddison said to Amy. "Good night, Amy."
"You too, Maddison." Amy said to her.
Then they walked into their rooms, after Maddison showered she went to bed as she did know that Amy did same.
~00~
Then later Maddison was wandering around the TARDIS as then she came out by the console as then she sees the Doctor busy with something. Then she walked forwards to him as she wanted answers.
"Doctor?!" Maddison asked to him as he jumped a little.
The Doctor stopped with what he was doing as then he turned to look at Maddison. "Maddie, what's wrong?"
"I couldn't really sleep, because I have questions." Maddison replied to him.
"What for questions do you have?" The Doctor asked to her.
"Why didn't the machine on star ship UK see me as a human?" She looked at him. "Why do I feel this connection between us?" The Doctor was in thought. "Am I an alien?"
Then he noticed that she have ring on her finger. "That ring, how did get that?"
Maddison looked down at her ring. "I'm adopted as a baby, but at the orphan house as a baby, when they adopted me and I had the ring with me and…" She trailed off. The Doctor looked more confused as she said in realization. "The letter, the people from there had it. So as I was 17 years old when my adopted parents told me the keep the ring with me, they had always told the keep it with me." She looked up to him. "But what is it about?"
"Can I see it?" The Doctor asked her as she nodded to him as she gave her ring to him. Then he looked shocked as he looked closer to it. "That can't be?!" He exclaimed.
"What's wrong?" Maddison looked worried.
"Well, this is something that my people can make, the Time Lords." The Doctor explained.
"But what has that to do with me?" Maddison asked to the Doctor.
"You said you were adopted right?" The Doctor asked to her seriously.
"Yes, but what was that to do with this?" She pointed at the ring that he have in his hands.
Then the Doctor suddenly asked to her. "Can I through the TARDIS scan you?"
"Yes, of course." Maddison replied to him as she was little confused.
The Doctor set the console ready. "Stay still, please." Maddison nodded as then he scanned her. Then he was done scanning her as then he looked at the results. "No, it can't be." He looked shocked at the results.
"What's wrong?" Maddison asked to him.
"Nothing is really wrong, but it says that you are half human and half…" The Doctor trailed off.
"And the other half?" Maddison asked as she wanted to know, but had her suspicions.
"Time lord." The Doctor replied seriously as he still looked at the screen. Then Maddison walked over to him as she wanted to see it for herself.
"But that's what you are, how can that be?" Maddison asked confused.
"Well, one of your parents was human and other Time Lord." The Doctor explained it to her.
"My biological parents... One of them is a Time Lord and the other is Human." Maddison said as she is trying to process it.
"Yes I just said that." The Doctor said a little rudely.
Maddison glared at him. "Am I more human or Time Lord, because of that at machine?"
"Well… You are more Time Lord, because they saw only the Time Lord half and that's alien to them." The Doctor explained to her.
"So, I'm a Hybrid. Half Human, Half Time Lord." Maddison said to him. "What now then?"
"Trying to find your biological parents." He simply replied.
"But you are the only one left?!" Maddison exclaimed.
"Yes, I mean, maybe is one of them still on earth, well… your Human mother or father." The Doctor replied to her as he shut done the screen.
"Okay, how do we do that?" Maddison asked to him curiously.
"By asking your adopted parents." He replied to her.
"Well, as far as I know they know nothing about it, but I had a letter with me. Maybe is it in there?" She suggested.
"Maybe." He said to her.
"I left it at the Hotel where I was sleeping." Maddison said to him as he pushed some buttons and set the TARDIS into motion. "We are going to my Hotel room?"
"Yes, you wanted to find your parents." The Doctor replied to her.
"Yes." Maddison looked at the Doctor as then they landed. "Are we here?"
"Yes." He comment. "Go grab your letter."
Maddison nodded as then she walked to the doors and opened it as she looked into her Hotel room. She looked at her bedside table as she her letter there and grabbed it as then she walked back to the Doctor and closed the TARDIS doors behind her. "I have it."
"Good, good." He clapped with hands. "Now let's read it."
Maddison looked at the Doctor. "I want to read it first." He nodded at her as she started to read the letter. Then a moment later she was done, she told a little out loud. "It was written that my mother is gone off to the Time War and that my father wrote the letter to the people I'm adopted with. Before that, I was placed into the orphan house, because my dad couldn't handle with it. Therefore he had that letter written." She looked at up at the Doctor. "My mom is dead ad my dad is on the earth, somewhere."
"Let me see it." The Doctor said to her.
"Oh, uh, yes of course." Maddison said to him as she gave her letter to him.
He read the letter as then a moment later he was done and he walked over to a scanner with the letter and the envelope, to see if something comes out, an address perhaps or a place where her parents went before she was born.
Maddison looked at him nervous. "What you are going to do?"
"I'm going to find where you parents went or even an address. Something like that." The Doctor replied to her as he looked at the screen.
"You can do that?" Maddison asked to him as her eyes widened.
"Of course, trust me, I'm the Doctor." He said to her as he looked at the results.
Maddison laughed at that as then she went seriously. "I trust you."
The Doctor still looked at the results as then he told her. "Well, the scanner took good look as then it found an address that you couldn't see with our naked eye but with the scanner, you can see it." He pointed at the screen as Maddison walked to the screen and she looked at it.
"Oh, wow." She exclaimed.
The Doctor pointed on the screen to let her see letter with the address. "See, it says here."
"Can we go there?" Maddison asked to the Doctor.
"Yes, if it is that you want." The Doctor replied to her as he looked at a little worried, but hide it for Maddison.
"I want that." Maddison said to him.
Then he set the coordinates as then they went off.
~00~
They arrived at their destination as then Maddison asked to the Doctor. "But Amy then?"
"She is still asleep." The Doctor replied to her.
"I mean is it wise, to let her here?" Maddison asked to him.
The Doctor looked at her. "Yes, the TARDIS will look after her. And if she did wake up there she a message in the console, the TARDIS will let her see it."
"Okay, that makes sense." Maddison comment.
"Now, let's go find your dad." The Doctor said to her as he opened to the TARDIS doors.
Maddison nodded to him. "Yes, let's go."
They stepped out of the TARDIS and went to find right address from Maddison's dad. They were in London.
~00~
They had found the right address as then Maddison walked to the door and pressed on a button to let the bell ring. Then a man walked to the door and opened the door, Maddison looked at him, he couldn't be older than over the 40. "Hello." The man looked at them.
"Hello, are you Liam Brown?" Maddison asked to the man as she had the letter in her hands.
"Yes, I am and you are?" Mr. Brown asked to her.
"I'm Maddison Turner and I'm your daughter." Maddison replied seriously.
The man looked shocked at her as she told him that she was her daughter. Then he saw that she had a letter in her hands. "May I see the letter?" He asked to her.
Maddison hesitated as she glanced back to the Doctor. He nodded to her, for reassures. "Yes, of course." She handed over the letter.
Mr. Brown grabbed the letter as then he started to read it. Maddison and the Doctor looked at him as he read the letter. Then he was done with reading and looked up to Maddison and the Doctor. "The people who adopted you, raised you well." He comment.
"So, you know that I'm really your daughter?" Maddison beamed.
"Yes, of course." He said to her. "I see a lot of your mother in you and of course a bit of me."
"Then, why the coldhearted greeting?" Maddison asked as she looked at him.
"Surprised that you came looking for me." Mr. Brown replied to her.
"Why would be surprised?" Maddison asked to him.
"It's a surprise, because I thought you would be happy with your adopted family. I haven't heard of you in past 10 years, from your adopted parents." He explained.
"I wasn't happy with my adopted parents, that's why I left them." Maddison said to him. "I came across with a man, named the Doctor and then everything changed, I get to find you and get to know what I am. The Doctor…" She pointed at the man beside her. "He found out that I wasn't fully human, but also a half Time Lord, so I know that my mother dead then." She still looked at him. "He's a Time Lord."
Mr. Brown looked shocked at then he motion that they need to come inside as they followed him. "Yes, that true. Your mother was the love of my life, when I younger I met her, well bumped into her, and that how our story started. We did get married, but it was all secret, we couldn't let the Time Lords know, because it forbidden." He sat into a chair as Maddison and the Doctor sat across. "And then you came along, it was the happiest day in our life, but was then everything changed. The Time War came and she was send back to Gallifrey. She fought until the last the last day as then the planet was destroyed." He looked sad. "She and all the other are dead." He looked at the Doctor. "But you survived the Time War." The Doctor nodded sadly. "How did you survive it?"
"I was already gone on the last day." The Doctor replied to him as he clearly had lied to Mr. Brown. Maddison only noticed that, but didn't show it the man.
Mr. Brown nodded. "That's when you met Maddison?"
"No, I had other companions before I met Maddison." The Doctor replied to him.
"Okay, then." Mr. Brown said to him.
Then Maddison said to him. "I still don't understand, why you gave me up."
"It… was hard for me, to take care of you." Mr. Brown said to her. "I had just lost your mother, I couldn't handle it."
"You had a broken heart." The Doctor interrupted.
Mr. Brown nodded to him. "Still have sometimes, I couldn't raise Maddison and deal with that." He looked at them. "I gave you up and wrote a letter for the people who would adopt you." He looked at Maddison.
"Did you had a connection with my mother?" Maddison asked to him, suddenly.
Mr. Brown looked at her confused as she asked that question, trying to understand why she asked that as he looked between her and the Doctor, then he understands it, they was it too, they are soulmates. He nodded to her. "Yes, it's like that we were soulmates."
"Okay, but how can that be?" Maddison asked trying to understand it.
"I think the Doctor can better explain than I can." Mr. Brown said to her as he pointed at him.
The Doctor looked at Mr. Brown. He didn't want to explain it, not yet anywise. All he wanted right now is to get away from there. Maddison saw the look on his face as then she know he will tell it as they were alone as then she asked to her dad. "Can you tell stories about you and my mom?" she looked at him. "I want to get know you two more." She smiled friendly, but she had also a sad smile as Mr. Brown sighed as little as then he started to tell some stories.
~00~
A while later, the Doctor desisted to back to the TARDIS as then Maddison wanted to go too, but also she really didn't want to say good bye to her dad, but yeah, it was time for them to go. To go on adventures and that…
Maddison looked at her dad. "It's time for us to go." She pointed at herself and the Doctor.
"I understand." Mr. Brown said to her. "But come here ones and while to get each other know more."
"I will." Maddison said smiling.
"Good, good." Mr. Brown said to her. "Good bye, Maddison."
"Good bye, dad." Maddison said to her as she hugged her dad.
Then Mr. Brown looked at the Doctor. "You better be explaining to her, what that connection is." He pointed to the Doctor.
"I will, Mr. Brown." The Doctor said nodding to him.
"Good, Doctor." Mr. Brown said to him seriously.
Then they all walked to the door as Mr. Brown opened it. "Well, then good look to your travels and come from time from time here." He said his daughter.
Maddison nodded to her dad. "I will."
"And I will bring her here." The Doctor said to him.
Mr. Brown nodded to them. "Okay, good bye."
"Good bye." Maddison said to her dad.
"Till next time." The Doctor said as then they walked away.
The Doctor hated good byes.
~00~
Not a while later they arrived by the TRADIS as then Maddison asked to him. "Can you tell now what it means to be connected?"
The Doctor didn't answer right away as he opened to TARDIS as then he motion for her to walk inside to TARDIS, she walked inside first as then he also walked inside and closed the TARDIS doors. Then he walked to the console.
"Well?" Maddison asked to him.
"Well, connected it's like soulmates as your father said to you, but it's like a deeper connection, to feel each other's emotions, eventually read each other's thoughts, sometimes you can feel if the other is in danger." The Doctor explained to her. "People on Gallifrey, they were lucky that they find that connection."
Maddison looked at the Doctor. "And you never did find it, until now?"
"Basically yes." The Doctor said to her. "I had never that connection on Gallifrey, I had an enragement marriage."
"So basically you tell me that, you never found it, till you met me." Maddison said shocked. "Does that mean we have to be romantic involved?"
The Doctor had big eyes. "No, no, no, no, no, we can still be friends and see well what happens next."
"Okay, then." Maddison said to him. "Well I'm going to eat something, do you want to come with me?"
"Well, yes of course, Maddie." The Doctor replied to her.
Maddison nodded. "Okay, but you need to lead the way, because I will get lost in here."
"Of course." The Doctor said to her.
"Thank you, Doctor." The Doctor looked at her. "Thank you, for finding my dad and the explaining." Maddison smiled at him.
"You are very welcome." The Doctor said to her.
Then they walked to the kitchen as then Maddison felt for the first time butterflies in her stomach.
