Chapter 5! As soon as I am done with this chapter, I am going to be posting the first chapter. I'm going to try to complete this story tomorrow so I can give you an update almost every day.

Also, someone told me that Lee Gon is the name of a character from a Kdrama. I watch Kdramas, I do but I haven't come across a single Lee Gon character. There are still many on my 'To be watched' list so there's that but I just wanted you to know that I didn't know and I didn't intend to steal a name. I literally just took a name generator and let it give me a name, one that was simple enough to read and understand bc I know not everyone is familiar with the Korean-Romanization words.

If it really bothers people, make it some different name in your head and forget that it says 'Lee Gon'. (This is not meant in a rude way so I'm sorry if you think it is)

Maxon and Aspen looked at me warily when I picked up the phone on my desk and hit the speed dial. The phone didn't even ring three times before the person on the other side picked up.

"America Singer, it is three in the morning here. Can you please tell me why you're calling this late?"

"Don't act as if you were already in bed, we both know that'd be a lie. You're probably still in your office, pouring over your files while you should be getting some rest in. Might I remind you of your little trip to the hospital last week?" At the shocked sound on the other side of the line, I smirked. "I don't have to be in New Asia to know what is going on with you, Lee Gon. Also, you're press secretary is making a mess of your palace rulings... Do something about it. Train her, replace her, get rid of her, I don't care but if you care about your image, you will make sure that she is not going on TV anymore to defend your every step."

"Did you call me to lecture me on state affairs? Last time I checked, you need to be Queen to do that."

"Cute, Lee Gon. I already rejected your proposal. We're good friends but Lord knows that we would kill each other if we were to get married and I'd be crowned as your Queen. New Asia's Queen."

"A man can try." I could hear the teasing in his voice, "Why are you calling, Mery? I am curious, you didn't call just to catch up with me or lecture me."

"I need a favor." Finally, I lifted my eyes and looked at the two men in the office. "A big one."

"Anything, you know that. Name it."

"The Illéan palace has a cyber security system that was approved by you." He hummed which I took as confirmation, "I need you to take the security down for a bit tomorrow so my guy can get into the system and access CCTV files."

"Or-"

"Or what?"

"Or I can access the files here in New Asia and they would never be any wiser." He chuckled, "I'll get all the files to you by tomorrow afternoon. Also, tell Maxon I support his decision to break free from that woman he chose over you."

"How do you know about that?"

"Celeste didn't only ask Italy for support. Italy is a great nation and I would never doubt their leadership and influence however, I am New Asia and once upon a time I was a continent, not a country. Therefore I hold way more power than Italy ever could. I can see King Clarkson undermining Nicoletta and Italy as a whole but he could never take down me. I am Lee Gon, I am New Asia and New Asia is me."

"So?"

"Tell him not to worry about it. You'll have access to all Palace files in the afternoon and a direct link to the security system so that if you need anything else, you won't have to call me to get it."

"I owe you one, King Lee Gon."

"No, it's fine. Just don't mention it to anyone, I wouldn't want anyone to think anything untoward about us." He chuckled, "I'm going to take your advice now and get some sleep. You should do the same."

"I will, Gon. Soon." I put the phone down.

Aspen and Maxon shared a look with each other before turning to me. "Let me get this right, America. You have the King to New Asia on speed dial and he does stuff for you? No questions asked."

"No questions asked." I confirmed, "Lee Gon is sending me the files and a link to your security system tomorrow, he wants you to know he supports your decision to leave Kriss. He will help in any way he can from New Asia."

"How does he know of my plan? If he knows, Lord knows my father will find out soon enough a-"

"Maxon, calm down, Celeste called him to make sure that if your father were ever to find out about this little operation, I would not be executed for it. For that to happen, she made sure I have both Italy and New Asia supporting me so if anything happens, I will not be dead for this." I smiled, "Now I need your help as well. I need you to contact Marlee and get her to trail Kriss, if need be through the tunnels and I need a report of what she does every day. Do you think that is possible?"

"It should be possible but it will be difficult, she is a maid so she is expected to work. I don't know if I can relieve her of her duties for that, Sylvia will need a reason for that."

"I didn't even think of that." I shook my head and looked up to Aspen, "Have you gotten a ring yet?"

"I'm still torn between two." He answered.

I nodded, "Take the simplest one. Lucy is a simple girl and will want her wedding and her engagement ring to be simple as well. Go with the silver band."

"Yes Ma'am." He smirked, "You let a good woman let away without a valid reason, Sir. Sorry for speaking out of turn."

"No, I know." Maxon answered, "Can you go back to your post outside the door? I need to discuss more with America. And this time, don't come in anymore. Close the door completely and don't listen in."

"Yes, your Highness."

Aspen left and for a while, we just looked at each other until he asked me about Lee Gon. So I told him the story of how the King of New Asia had been my first client after Nicoletta had introduced me to him. He'd been in trouble with people on his council because he was suspecting them for treachery. Luckily for him, I didn't find any traitors in his council however, I did find some suspicious people in his staff. After further interrogation they were only proven to have given some minor information to the press.

They were fired and that was that but Lee Gon and I found that we quite enjoyed spending time together and had met up once in New Asia, but we did keep in contact through the phone. We texted almost daily and called at least once a week. Whenever he needed help or information he would text me and in return he told me that I could do the same.

"Just when did he propose to you?" He asked and somewhere I could swear that he was jealous.

I shrugged, "About two months ago. He told me that with my resources and contacts around the world, I'd make an asset to New Asia. On top of that, he thought it could appease your father if he had an Illéan wife because he has done quite a lot to stop this war."

"I don't get why you declined, to be honest. It seems like a good proposition. You'd never have to worry about a thing and perhaps it could really end this fued between our countries."

"I'm not going to cheat on you, Maxon. Despite us not being together and you being engaged to another woman, I love you and so I will not marry another man. Now, since you're here, you can help sort through this new information I got on Kriss, Be useful, will you?" I smirked, handing him a file.

"Fine, I will be useful and I will also make a promise. Like you did."

"What promise will you make?"

"I promise that once I am free of this woman, you and I will be engaged and married within three months."

"Don't ma-"

"I'm not, I am making a promise that I know that I can follow up on. I will marry you, America Singer and you will become this nation's Princess."

"Better yet, you will be it's queen."
