The TARDIS materialized in a small park across the road from groups of terraced houses as then the Doctor poked his head out, followed by Maddison. "No, Amy, it's definitely not the fifth moon of Cindie Colesta. I think I can see a Ryman's." Then there is an explosion, throwing the Doctor and Maddison to the ground, on top of each other, and the TARDIS dematerialized.

"Oh, god." Maddison groaned as she got off the Doctor.

The Doctor got up as he shouted. "Amy! Amy!"

Maddison looked where the TARDIS just stood. "Oh, Amy." Then she looked at the Doctor. "What happened?"

"I have no idea." The Doctor replied to her as they looked where the TARDIS just stood with Amy inside of it.

~00~

The Doctor rings the bell by the door and waited impatiently as Maddison stood beside him, they had found a note from Amy that they now stood for to the house. They found it weird that Amy had written a note, it didn't happen yet, it was still in their future. It also means that Amy will do it in the future for their past selves. The Doctor have an earpiece with is a Bluetooth device, then the door opened and the man blurted out. "I love you."

"Well, that's good, because we are your new lodgers." The Doctor glanced at Maddison. "Do you know, this is going to be easier than I expected." Then The Doctor takes the fluffy pink keys from Craig. Maddison just smiled at the man.

"But I only put the advert up today." The man said confused. "I didn't put my address."

"Well, aren't you lucky we came along?" The Doctor looked at him. "More lucky than you know. Less of a young professional, more of an ancient amateur, but frankly I'm an absolute dream."

"Hang on a minute, mate." The man told him. "I don't know if I want you staying. And give me back those keys. You can't have those." The Doctor give back the keys.

"Yes, quite right. Have some rent." The Doctor hands the man a paper take-away bag with lots of twenty pound notes in it. "That's probably quite a lot, isn't it? Looks like a lot. Is it a lot? I can never tell." Then they go into the hallway. The lights upstairs are flickering. "Don't spend it all on sweets, unless you like sweets. I like sweets. Oooh." The Doctor gives the man a couple of air kisses between each cheek as then Maddison shakes hands with him. "That's how we greet each other nowadays, isn't it? I'm the Doctor and this is Maddie." He introduced themselves. "Well, they call me the Doctor. I don't know why. I call me the Doctor, too. Still don't know why."

"Craig Owens." The man/ Craig looked confused. "The Doctor?"

"Yep." The Doctor nodded to him.

Maddison looked upstairs. "Who lives upstairs?"

"Just some bloke." Craig replied to her.

"What's he look like?" The Doctor asked to him.

"Normal. He's very quiet." Then there was a loud crash. "Usually. Sorry, who are you again?" Craig asked as the Doctor pulled Maddison along him to the living room. "Hello? Excuse me?"

The Doctor ignored him as he looked at the ceiling. "Ah. I suppose that's dry rot?"

"Or damp. Or mildew." Craig suggested.

"It can be." Maddison muttered, looking up.

"Or none of the above." The Doctor muttered.

"I'll get someone to fix it." Craig told them.

"No, I'll fix it." The Doctor looked at Craig. "I'm good at fixing rot. Call me the Rotmeister." Maddison face palmed. "No, I'm the Doctor, don't call me the Rotmeister. This is the most beautiful parlor I have ever seen. You're obviously a man of impeccable taste. We can stay, Craig, can't we? Say we can."

"You two haven't even seen the room." Craig looked at them.

"The room?" The Doctor looked happily. "Our room?" He glanced at Maddison.

"Your room." Craig looked between the Doctor and Maddison.

"Our room? Oh, yes." The Doctor looked at Craig. "Our room. Our room. Take us to our room."

"Yeah." Maddison shrugged.

Then Craig let them to their room, they walked through the hallway as then they arrived to their room. Then Craig said to them. "Yeah, this is Mark's old room. He owns the place. Moved out about a month ago. This uncle he'd never even heard of died and left a load of money in the will."

"Small." Maddison comment as she looked around her. "It's a small room."

Craig wanted to say something as then the Doctor beat him to it. "How very convenient. This'll do just right. In fact." There was another loud crash from above. Then the Doctor tests the air with a damp finger as Maddison face palmed again. "No time to lose. I'll take it. Ah you'll want to see my credentials. There." The psychic paper gets passed behind the Doctor's back and shown to Craig three times. "National Insurance number. NHS number. References."

Craig pointed at the psychic paper. "Is that a reference from the Archbishop of Canterbury?"

"I'm his special favorite." The Doctor put away his psychic paper. "Are you hungry? I'm hungry."

"I'm also hungry." Maddison had a small smile on her face.

"I haven't got anything in." Craig comment.

The Doctor ignored the man as he walked back to living room and went to the kitchen, followed by Craig and Maddison. He opened a refrigerator, grabbing stuff as then he went to a closet and grabbed a pan. "You've got everything I need for an omelette fines herbes, pour deux." He cracked eggs in the frying pan. "So, who's the girl on the fridge?"

Craig looked at the photograph. "My friend. Sophie."

"She's cute." Maddison comment, looking at Craig.

"Girlfriend?" The Doctor asked.

"A friend who is a girl. There's nothing going on." Craig insisted.

"Oh, that's completely normal. Works for me." The Doctor replied to him.

"Yeah, boys and girls can be friends right?" Maddison looked at them. "If there nothing romantic between them."

Craig got flustered. "We met at work about a year ago, at the call center."

"Oh really, a communications exchange?" The Doctor comment, then looked the eggs. "That could be handy."

"Firm's going down though." Craig told him. "The bosses are using a totally rubbish business model. I know what they should do. I got a plan all worked out. But I'm just a phone drone, I can't go running in saying I know best. Why am I telling you this? I don't even know you."

"Well, I've got one of those faces." The Doctor comment. "People never stop blurting out their plans while I'm around."

"He really has that." Maddison comment. "I have seen that sometimes."

"Right." He looked confused as then he asked to them. "Where's your stuff?"

"Oh, don't worry, it'll materialize." The Doctor replied to him. "If all goes to plan."

~00~

"Oh, that was incredible." Craig put his plate on the table. "That was absolutely brilliant. Where did you learn to cook?"

"Paris, in the eighteenth century." The Doctor replied to him. "No, hang on, that's not recent, is it? Seventeenth? No, no, no. Twentieth. Sorry, I'm not used to doing them in the right order."

Maddison grinned. "I know." She looked at him.

"Has anyone ever told you that you're a bit weird?" Craig looked at the Doctor.

"They never really stop." The Doctor comment. "Ever been to Paris, Craig?"

"Nah." Craig shook his head. "I can't see the point of Paris. I'm not much of a traveler."

"I can tell from your sofa." The Doctor told him rudely as Maddison face palmed.

"My sofa?" Craig asked confused.

"You're starting to look like it." The Doctor replied to him.

"Rude." Maddison told him.

"And not ginger." He looked at her.

"Thanks, mate, that's lovely." Craig comment to the Doctor. "No, I like it here. I'd miss it, I'd miss…"

The Doctor noticed the keys in Craig's hand. "Those keys."

"What?" He blinked at him.

"You're sort of fondling them." The Doctor comment.

"I'm holding them." Craig stood up and walked to a small closet and on top of that lays the keys form the house as he grabbed it.

"Right." The Doctor comment as Maddison looked at him and shook her head.

"You are rude." She comment.

"Yeah, yeah." He shrugged.

Then Craig came back to them. "Anyway. These, these are your keys."

They stood up. "We can stay?" The Doctor asked to him.

"Yeah, you're weird and you can cook and Maddie is nice." Craig told him. "It's good enough for me. Right. Outdoor, front door, your door."

"My door." The Doctor grabbed the key. "My place. My gaff. Ha ha! Yes. Me with a key."

"Our room." Maddison told him.

"And listen, Mark and I, we had an arrangement where if you ever need me out of your hair, just give me a shout, okay?" Craig looked at them.

"Why would I want that?" The Doctor asked confused.

"In case you want some private with Maddie." Craig replied to him.

"Oh, I will. I'll shout if that happens. Something like, I was not expecting this!" The Doctor shouted at the end as Maddison face palmed. She was doing that a lot today, because of the Doctor, hoe awkward he is around humans. Then the Doctor changed the subject. "By the way, that. The rot. I've got the strangest feeling we shouldn't touch it."

"Me too." Maddison looked at the ceiling.

~00~

Not much later, they were in their room, the Doctor was on the earphone. "Earth to Pond, Earth to Pond. Come in, Pond." There was a hard sound that the Doctor winced. "Could you not wreck my new earpiece, Pond?" Then he asked to her. "How's the Tardis coping?"

"What's she saying?" Maddison asked curiously.

"Oooh, nasty." The Doctor listen to sound that the TARDIS is making. "She's locked in a materialization loop, trying to land again. But she can't." Pause, the Doctor talked again. "I don't know what it is yet. Anything that can stop the Tardis from landing is big. Scary big. Be fair. Could be even Orange juice. Neocene Arbuckle. Rare tarantula on the table."

Maddison looked at him. "What's going on?" She hated being out of the loop.

"I can't go up there until I know what it is and how to deal with it." The Doctor said to the earpiece. "And it is vital that this man upstairs doesn't realize who and what I am. So no sonicking. No advanced technology. I can only use this because we're on scramble. To anyone else hearing this conversation, we're talking absolute gibberish."

"Hihi." Maddison laughed at that.

"Practical eruption in chicken." The Doctor said as he looked at Maddison. "Descartes Lombardy spiral. Now all I've got to do is pass as an ordinary human being. Simple. What could possibly go wrong? So you're just going to be snide. No helpful hints?"

"Different outfit." Maddison comment.

"Bow ties are cool." The Doctor looked at Maddison. "Come on, Amy, I'm a normal bloke." Maddison laughed. "Tell me what normal blokes do. I could do those things. I don't, but I could."

"No, you aren't a normal bloke." Maddison comment.

The Doctor sighed as then there was bang upstairs. "Hang on. Wait, wait, wait. Amy?" The Tardis is going crazy and the hands on the Doctor's alarm clock and wrist watch are going backwards and forwards very rapidly. "Interesting. Localized time loop. Time distortion. Whatever's happening upstairs is still affecting you." Lights are flashing in the upstairs flat. Then it stopped as the Doctor told to the earpiece. "My end's good. No, no, no, not really. Just keep the zigzag plotter on full. That'll protect you." He sighed. "Amy, I said the zigzag plotter. What, you're standing with the door behind you? Okay, take two steps to your right and pull it again." He told her. "Now, I must not use the sonic. I've got work to do. Need to pick up a few items."

"And I'm going to sleep." Maddison told him.

He nodded as then he leaves the place. Later the Doctor returns to the terrace with a shopping trolley full of miscellanea. A cat protests. "Shush. Don't get comfortable." He sighed as then he went back inside the room and saw that Maddison was asleep, he smiled as he put the stuff on the ground, when he was done, he went to the bed and laid down next to her and falls asleep as well.

~00~

Maddison and Craig were waiting for the Doctor to get out of the shower, Maddison sat on the ground as Craig stood by the door as the Doctor sang out loud. "Ta ra ra boom de ay quanda rilo."

Craig knocked on the door as he called. "Doctor."

"Hello?" The Doctor asked confused.

"How long are you going to be in there?" Craig asked to him.

"That's what I want to know too." Maddison comment, impatiently.

"Oh, sorry." The Doctor replied to them. "I like a good soak."

Suddenly there was a loud bang from upstairs as Craig exclaimed. "What the hell was that?"

"What did you say?" The Doctor asked confused.

"I'm just going to go upstairs. See if he's okay." Craig told him as then he walked away from there.

Maddison sighed. "Rule number bla bla, don't walk into danger, when you don't know what kind of danger it is."

"Sorry? What did you say? Craig?" The Doctor asked.

"Craig isn't here, Doctor." Maddison replied. "He went upstairs."

The Doctor gets out of the shower, slips and falls. "Ow. No choice. It's sonicking time." Then he grabbed an electric toothbrush. Then he, with a towel around his waist. He walked out of the bathroom, on his way to Craig, his towel fell on the ground as Maddison had a great view from him, she blushed as he put his towel back up to around his waist as then he walked to the stairs and met Craig at the foot of the stairs. Maddison had followed him, still blushing. The Doctor points the toothbrush at the upstairs door and makes it go whirr. Then he looked at Craig. "What happened, what's going on?"

"Is that my toothbrush?" Craig asked back, pointing at the toothbrush.

"Correct." The Doctor pulled his hair out of his face as he looked at Craig. "You spoke to the man upstairs?"

"Yeah." Craig replied to him.

Maddison looked at them as the Doctor asked. "What did he look like?"

"More normal than you do at the moment, mate." Craig looked at him, confused. "What are you doing?"

"I thought you might be in trouble." The Doctor replied to him as he put down the toothbrush.

"Thanks." Craig told him. "Well, if I ever am, you can come and save me with my toothbrush."

"The hero you are, Doctor." Maddison smiled at the Doctor as he smiled back to her.

Then Craig's phone rings inside the flat as he goes to answer it. Then the Doctor started to walk up the stairs as Sophie came in the front door. "Oh! Hello."

The Doctor turned around and walked downstairs. "Ah! Hello. The Doctor."

"Right." Sophie blinked at him.

"Hello, I'm Maddie." Maddison looked at her.

"Hello." Sophie still blinked at the Doctor.

He walked towards her. "You must be Sophie." Then he gave her a couple of air kisses between each cheek

"Oh. Oh." Sophie looked confused.

Then the Doctor walked into the room, followed by Maddison and Sophie. He went to the refrigerator and grabbed a drink as Craig was on the phone. "No, Dom's in Malta. There's nobody around." Then the Doctor walked towards Maddison as Craig looked at him. "Hang on a sec." he walked to them. "We've got a match today, pub league. We're one down if you fancy it?"

"Pub league." The Doctor asked confused. "A drinking competition?"

"Football." Maddison muttered.

"No, football." Craig looked at him. "Play football."

"Football. Football." He glanced at Maddison. "Yes, blokes play football. I'm good at football, I think."

She just shook her head as she smiled at him. "Nice."

"You've saved my life. I've got somebody. Yeah, all right, I'll see you down there." Craig ended the phone call as he looked at Sophie. "Hey, Soph."

"Hey, I thought I'd come early and meet your new flat mates." Sophie smiled at him.

"Do you play, Sophie?" The Doctor asked to her.

"No, Soph just stands on the sidelines." Craig replied for her. "She's my mascot."

"I'm your mascot?" She blinked at him. "Mascot?"

"Well, yeah, not my mascot." Craig replied awkwardly as the Doctor and Maddison at them, confused. "It's a football match. I can't take a date."

"I didn't say I was your date." Sophie comment.

"Neither did I." Craig looked at her.

"I don't play and I'm going to our room." Maddison comment to them as she leave the room.

"Better get dressed." The Doctor comment also as then he followed her.

Just then Craig and Sophie followed them. "The spare kit's just in the bottom drawer." Craig told him.

"Bit of a mess." He said to him as then he goes into his room and shuts the door and Maddison was in the room also.

They heard Craig and Sophie talking. "What do you think?" Craig asked to her.

"You didn't say he was gorgeous." Sophie relied to him.

Then the Doctor poked his head out of his and Maddison's room. "You unlocked the door." He looked at Sophie. "How did you do that? Those are your keys. You must have left them last time you came here."

"Yeah, but I…" She looked confused at him. "How do you know these are my keys?"

"I've been holding them." Craig admitted.

"I have got another set." Sophie hold up another set of keys.

"You've got two sets of keys to someone else's house?" The Doctor asked to her.

"Yeah?" Sophie looked confused.

"I see. You must like it here too." The Doctor comment at then he closed the door from their room and started to dress.

~00~

The four of them walked down to the close by park as Craig asked to the Doctor. "What are you actually called? What's your proper name?"

"Just call me the Doctor." The Doctor replied to him.

"Yeah." Sophie comment.

"I can't go up to these guys and say hey, this is my new flat mate, he's called the Doctor." Craig protested.

"Why not?" He asked to him.

"Because it's weird." Craig comment, then he looked at Maddison. "Seriously, what is his name?"

"Doctor." Maddison replied. "Just the Doctor."

"So you call him the Doctor all the time." Craig was unconvinced.

"It's his name." Maddison crossed with her arms as they get to the pitch.

"All right, Craig. Soph." A man greeted them. "All right, mate, miss."

"Hello, we are Craig's new flat mates." The Doctor greeted as Maddison waved at him. "I'm called the Doctor and this is Maddie." Then he gave her a couple of air kisses between each cheek.

"All right, Doctor." The man/ Sean told him. "I'm Sean. So, where are you strongest?"

"Arms." He replied as Maddison face palmed.

"No, he means what position on the field." Craig explained.

"Not sure." The Doctor comment. "The front? The side? Below."

"Are you any good though?" Seam checked.

"Let's find out." The Doctor replied as then he kicked the ball into the field.

~00~

After the match, the boys came together by a bench as the girls walked towards them. They had won the match as Sean told to the Doctor. "You are so on the team. Next week we've got the Crown and Anchor. We're going to annihilate them."

"Annihilate?" The Doctor stared at him. "No. No violence, do you understand me? Not while I'm around. Not today, not ever. I'm the Doctor, the Oncoming Storm, and you basically meant beat them in a football match, didn't you?"

"Yeah." Sean blinked.

"Lovely. What sort of time?" The Doctor grinned.

"That wasn't awkward at all." Maddison comment.

Just then Craig opened a can of drink and gets sprayed with the foam. Then it repeats again and again. Only the Doctor and Maddison are unaffected as then they walked away from the group. "Amy? Amy? What does the scanner say?" The Doctor said into the earpiece. "Yes, yes, it's, it's good. Zigzag plotter. Zigzag plotter, Amy. Amy? Are you there?" then he panicked a little. "Amy? Oh, thank heavens." Then he calmed down as Maddison looked at him. "I thought for a moment the Tardis had been flung off into the vortex With you inside it, lost forever. How are the numbers?" He glanced at Maddison. "Fives? Even better. Still, it means the effect's almost unbelievably powerful and dangerous, but don't worry." He told her. "Hang on, okay? I've got some rewiring to do." Then he hang up as then he and Maddison went back to the house.

~00~

Later that day, Craig knocks on the Doctor's door as he answered holding a traffic cone. "Hello, flat mate."

"Hey, man." Craig looked at him. "Er, listen. Er, Sophie's coming round tonight and I was wondering if you and Maddie could give us some space?"

"Oh, don't mind me. You won't even know I'm here." The Doctor replied as then there was a bang upstairs, they looked up. "That's the idea." He comment as then he shut the door. "Yes, perfect! What a beauty." He comment inside the room as Craig looked at the door strangely and shook his head as then he walked away from there.

~00~

The next day, Maddison had yesterday evening, fallen asleep as the Doctor let her sleep until next day. He rushed inside of the room and quickly woke her up. "Maddie! Maddie!"

Maddison felt a rush of worry coming from the Doctor as she looked at the Doctor. "What's wrong?"

"Craig, go to him while I make tea." The Doctor told to her quickly.

"Okay." Maddison stood up and went over to Craig's room as the Doctor runs back to the kitchenette and stuffs as many teabags as possible into the commemorative Royal Wedding teapot.

Not much later, he went back to Craig's room and said. "Right, reverse the enzyme decay. Excite the tannin molecules." And poured the super-strong tea straight into Craig's mouth.

"I've got to go to work." Craig mumbled.

"No." Maddison said sternly.

"On no account. You need rest. One more." The Doctor told him and poured some more in his mouth.

Craig looked at him, "It's the planning meeting. It's important."

"You're important. You're going to be fine, Craig." The Doctor told him as then he and Maddison leave the room and went to the living room. "Are you going to watch over Craig?" The Doctor looked at her. "I will go to his work and have that meeting."

"Yeah." Maddison nodded to him. "I will stay here." Then she kissed him.

The Doctor kissed her back as then they pulled apart. "I will see you after work." He grinned at her. "I always wanted to say that."

"Really?" She looked at him amused.

"Yes." The Doctor nodded.

She grinned at him. "Okay."

~00~

Later that day, Maddison sat in the living room as then she heard Craig shouting from his room. She went to the hallway as then she saw him running out if his bed room, dressed in a suit. "Craig, what are doing?" She shouted to him.

"I'm going to work." He shouted back and went out the front door.

Maddison went after him and saw that he was already gone from sight. "Great work, Maddie." She muttered to herself. Then she went back to the house and grabbed her keys as then she went back out again, trying to find Craig.

~00~

After a while, she went back to the house and saw that the bed room open from hers and the Doctor, then she heard them talking. "It's art. A statement on modern society, Ooo, ain't modern society awful." The Doctor told to Craig as Maddison came to the doorway.

"Me and you, it's not going to work out. You've only been here three days. These have been the three weirdest days of my life." Craig told him.

"Your days will get a lot weirder if I go." The Doctor told him as then he sees Maddison standing in the doorway. "Maddie, help me explain that we can't leave here yet."

Maddison opened her mouth as then Craig beat her to it. "It was good weirdness. It's not, it's bad weird. I can't do this anymore."

"Craig, we can't leave this place yet." Maddison told him.

"I'm… like you, I can't see the point of anywhere else." The Doctor continued. "Madrid? Ha, what a dump. We have to stay."

"No, you two don't. You two have to leave." Craig was getting angry.

"We can't go." Maddison told him.

"Just get out!" Craig shouted at them.

"Right. Only way. I'm going to show you something, but shush. Really, shush. Oh, I am going to regret this." The Doctor sighed. "Okay, right. First, general background." Then he head butted Craig.

Craig groaned as then he understands and looked at them. "Oh."

"Ow." The Doctor grabbed his forehead.

"You're a…" Craig pointed at him.

"Yes." The Doctor nodded to him.

"From…" Craig pointed up.

"Shush." Maddison looked at him.

"You've got a Tardis." Craig looked at the Doctor.

"Yes. Shush. Eleventh. Right. Okay, specific detail." He head butted Craig again.

"You saw my ad in the paper shop window." Craig talked very loud.

"Yes, with this right above it. Which is odd, because Amy hasn't written it yet." The Docotr told him as then he let see a note. 'this one no 79a Aickman Road Amy xx' as Craig looked at the note and the Doctor said further. "Time travel. It can happen."

"That's a scanner." Craig pointed at the scanner. "You used non-technological technology of Lammasteen!"

"Shut up!" The Doctor placed his hand around Craig's mouth as then he sighed. "I am never, never doing that ever, ever again." Then he activates his Bluetooth. "Amy." He called.

"That's Amy Pond." Craig blurted it out.

"Oh, of course, you can understand us now. Hurrah." He told him as then he asked to Amy. "Got those plans yet?"

"Still searching for them." Amy replied over the phone.

"I've worked it out, with psychic help from a cat." The Doctor told her as Craig looked confused.

"A cat?" Amy asked confused.

"Yes. I know he's got a time engine in the flat upstairs." The Doctor replied to her. "He's using innocent people to try and launch it. Whenever he does, they get burnt up, hence the stain on your ceiling."

"From the ceiling." Craig repeated.

"Well done, Craig." The Doctor told him as then he spoke into the earpiece. "And you, Miss Pond, nearly get thrown off into the Vortex."

"Lovely." Amy comment.

Then there was a loud crash as Craig shouted. "People are dying up there? People are dying. People are dying. People are dying." Then the Doctor and Maddison noticed that he was in a time loop.

"Amy." The Doctor spoke into the earpiece.

"They're being killed." Craig looked at them.

"Someone's up there." Maddison muttered.

"Doctor?" Amy asked.

"Hang on. Craig, Maddie, come on." The Doctor told them as then they moved to the stairs. "Someone's dying up there." Then they saw Sophie's pink key ring in the door.

"Sophie." Craig panicked and raced upstairs to the door. "It's Sophie that's dying up there! It's Sophie!"

"Doctor! Argh!" Amy shouted.

"Where's Sophie?" Craig asked as the Doctor and Maddison went also upstairs.

"Wait, wait. Amy?" The Doctor asked into the earpiece.

"Are you upstairs?" Amy asked to him.

"Just going in." The Doctor replied to her.

"But you can't be upstairs." Amy told him.

"Of course I can be upstairs." The Doctor said confused.

"No, I've got the plans." Amy told him. "You cannot be upstairs, it's a one-storey building. There is no upstairs."

"What? What?" Craig asked confused.

Maddison looked at the Doctor as he opened the door and they went in. "Oh. Oh, of course. The time engine isn't in the flat, the time engine is the flat. Someone's attempt to build a Tardis."

"No, there's always been an upstairs." Craig said confused as then the door they have just come through flickers on and off.

"Has there?" Maddison looked at him. "Think about it."

"Yes. No. I don't…" Craig looked very confused.

"Perception filter." The Doctor explained. "It's more than a disguise. It tricks your memory."

Just then, there was a scream and Craig shouted. "Sophie! Sophie! Oh, my God, Sophie!" Sophie is being pulled towards the central console by electricity.

"Craig." Sophie shouted.

"It's controlling her." The Doctor told him as then they rushed forwards to her. "It's willing her to touch the activator."

"That's not going to have her." Craig shouted as Sophie's hand is pulled onto a dome shaped control and the Doctor used his sonic screwdriver.

"Ah, deadlock seal." The Doctor groaned as Craig tried to pull Sophie away from the control.

"You've got to do something." Craig shouted as then Sophie falls back to the ground, followed by Craig.

"What?" The Doctor looked around. "Why's it let her go? So, okay."

Then suddenly a man appeared in front of the Doctor. "You will help me." The autopilot exclaimed.

"Right. Stop. Crashed ship, let's see." The Doctor said to the autopilot. "Hello, I'm Captain Troy Handsome of International Rescue. Please state the nature of your emergency."

"The ship has crashed. The crew are dead. A pilot is required." The autopilot told him.

"You're the emergency crash program. A hologram." The Doctor asked to it. "What, you've been luring people up here so you can try them out?"

Then the hologram flickers between old man, young man and girl. "You will help me. You will help me. You will help me."

Then Sophie asked to Craig. "Craig, what is this? Where am I?"

"Hush." The Doctor spoke to it. "Human brains aren't strong enough, they just burn. But you're stupid, though. You just keep trying."

"Seventeen people have been tried." The autopilot told him. "Six billion four hundred thousand and twenty six remain."

"Seriously, what is going on?" Sophie asked to him.

"Not the time." Maddison muttered.

"Oh, for goodness sake." The Doctor replied to Sophie. "The top floor of Craig's building is in reality an alien space ship intent on slaughtering the population of this planet. Any questions? No, good."

"Yes, I have questions." Sophie told him.

Suddenly the autopilot said. "The correct pilot has now been found."

"Yes, I was a bit worried that you were going to say that." The Doctor sighed.

"Not good." Maddison muttered, looking at the Doctor.

"He means you, Doctor, doesn't he?" Amy asked to him.

The Autopilot used its energy to drag the Doctor towards the console. "The correct pilot has been found. The correct pilot has been found. The correct pilot has been found."

"What's happening?" Amy asked.

"It's pulling me in. I'm the new pilot." The Doctor replied to her as his hand waved above the control.

"Could you do it? AMY: Could you fly the ship safely?" Amy asked.

"No, I'm way too much for this ship." The Doctor replied to her. "My hand touches that panel, the planet doesn't blow up, the whole solar system does."

"The correct pilot has been found." The autopilot said.

"No." The Doctor shouted. "Worst choice ever, I promise you. Stop this."

"Doctor? It's getting worse." Amy shouted.

"It doesn't want everyone." The Doctor thought out loud. "Craig, it didn't want you."

"I spoke to him and he said I couldn't help him." Craig realized.

"It didn't want Sophie before but now it does." The Doctor told him as Maddison looked at him, feeling helpless. "What's changed? Argh. No. No, I gave her the idea of leaving. It's a machine that needs to leave. It wants people who want to escape. And you don't want to leave, Craig. You're Mister Sofa Man."

"Doctor!" Amy shouted.

"Craig, you can shut down the engine." The Doctor told to Craig. "Put your hand on the panel and concentrate on why you want to stay."

"Craig, no." Sophie shook her head.

"Will it work?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Is that a lie?"

"Of course it's a lie."

"It's good enough for me. Geronimo! Argh!" Craig puts his hand on the nearest control panel. Then the Doctor is released.

"Craig!" Sophie shouted to him.

"Doctor!" Amy shouted.

Then there is smoke coming off Craig's hand as the Doctor looked at Craig. "Craig, what's keeping you here? Think about everything that makes you want to stay here. Why don't you want to leave?"

"Sophie." Craig replied instantly. "I don't want to leave Sophie. I can't leave Sophie. I love Sophie."

"I love you, too, Craig, you idiot." Sophie smiled at him as then she puts her hand on Craig's.

"Doctor!" Amy shouted.

"Honestly, do you mean that?" Craig asked to her.

"Of course I mean it. Do you mean it?" Sophie looked at him.

"I've always meant it. Seriously though, do you mean it?"

"Yes."

"Ugh." Amy groaned.

"What about the monkeys?" Craig asked to her.

"Oh, not now, not again." The Doctor told him. "Craig, the planet's about to burn. For God's sake, kiss the girl."

"Kiss the girl!" Amy shouted.

"Kiss the girl, for god's sake." Maddison shouted as then Craig and Sophie kiss, and his hand is released from the panel. The Tardis stops shaking.

"Doctor? You've done it. Ha ha!" Amy told to him, happily. "You've done it. Oh, now the screen's just zeros. Now it's minus ones, minus twos, minus threes. Big yes."

"Help me. Help me. Help me. Help me." The autopilot said to them all.

"Big no." The Doctor looked around.

"Oh, oh." Maddison looked at the Doctor.

"Help me. Help me. Help me. Help me." It repeated.

Then Craig and Sophie went apart as Craig asked. "Did we switch it off?"

"Emergency shutdown. It's imploding." The Doctor shouted. "Everybody out, out, out!"

"Help me. Help me. Help me. Help me. Help me Help me. Help me. Help me." It repeated again.

"Doctor?" Amy asked.

"Help me. Help me. Help me. Help me." It repeated again.

Then the Doctor, Craig, Maddison and Sophie run down the stairs and outside. The top floor and roof turn into the Timeship which then flies away, leaving a totally incongruous one story building at the end of an entirely two storey terrace. Then they saw s man walking by carrying a child. Then Craig asked to the Doctor. "Look at them. Didn't they see that? The whole top floor just vanished."

"Perception filter. There never was a top floor." The Doctor replied to him.

"What, you're trying to sneak off?" Sophie asked to them.

"Yes, well, you were sort of busy." The Doctor replied a bit awkwardly.

"Kissing." Maddison comment.

Craig grabbed the keys. "I want you to keep these." He handed it over to the Doctor.

"Thank you." The Doctor grabbed the keys from Craig. "Because We might pop back soon, have another little stay."

"No, you won't." Craig told him. "I've been in your head, remember. I still want you to keep them."

"Thank you, Craig." The Doctor told him as he and Maddison smiled.

"Thank you, Doctor." Craig smiled as well.

"Sophie." The Doctor looked at Sophie. "Now then. Six billion four hundred thousand and twenty six people in the world. That's the number to beat."

"Right little matchmaker, aren't you?" Amy asked to him. "Can't you find me a fellow?"

"Oh, rectifier's playing up again Hold on." The Doctor replied to her. "You write the note and I'll change that will."

"You got a pen?" Amy asked.

"In his jacket or so." Maddison hopped around the TARDIS.

"Make sure it's a red pen." He said to Amy as then he runs off, Maddison followed him as she was curious to where he was going.

Then Amy goes through the Doctor's jacket pockets and found the ring box. She opened it and remembered a crack in her wall.
