Hope was working on a pair of Cerebra jammer, while Luke was standing next to her
"How did you learn to make these?" Luke asked
"Cable, my father taught me how to make them," Hope said
"Well, let's hope you listened to him when he was teaching…" Luke said
"Yeah… let's Hope"
When she finished with them, they both put it on. "Alright Hope, care to tell me your plan now?"
"These are not ordinary signal jammers, they will create five fake signals that will appear in Wundagore Mountain, Tabula Rasa, Wakanda, Latveria, and the Savage Land…" she said
"Smart, both Avengers, and X-Men will be going through wild goose chase, probably fighting each other. But what will we do in the meantime?" Luke said
"We will be finding a spaceship to take us to the Moon, I will bond with the Phoenix there" she revealed
"We don't need a spaceship, I can take us there," Luke said
"You can?" she asks
"Yes, I can, but let's sleep for a bit, recover our strength, and then I'll take the Blackbird to the moon"
She nodded, "Let's go."
They slept for a few hours and then started the Blackbird and were about to go to the Moon, but the plane was attacked and destroyed.
A Skrull like creature approached the wreckage of the ship, he was surrounded by various other alien creatures.
"If anyone's alive in there, listen up! We are the duly constituted agents of the Shi'ar Imperium with orders to execute the Phoenix Witch! If she relents to our judgment without a fight, we promise not to kill anyone else! There will be no further offers of mercy!" Skrull said
Luke who protected them at the last second looked "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Hope said
"Do you mind if I take care of them? Shi'ar prince is kinda my classmate, and if he hears I needed help against people from his empire, he won't stop talking about it,
"Be my guest," she said
In the meanwhile, Skrull look-alike said "Time's up Starchild! Death Commandos, Engage!"
However, Luke flew out of the wreckage, and then increased these aliens' gravity by 1000g, murdering them in cold blood.
He then looked at Hope "We can go to the Moon without the Blackbird, but it will take us longer as I will need to focus on maintaining out-of-atmosphere Force-Fields."
She nodded and then Luke created a Force-Field around them, and then started to fly them to the Moon.
On the way there, they got to talking, "Hope, what are you going to do once you bonded with the Phoenix?"
"If I embrace the Phoenix, I will be able to use its power to reignite mutant-dom…" she said
"I really hope this works, but if it doesn't..."
"Yeah… I know…"
-11 Hour Later, The Blue Area Of The Moon-
"It's so close now. I can feel it." Hope said as she stepped on the moon "All we have to do is wait."
"I'm sorry, young Lady, we're going to have to complicate your plans just a bit," Captain America said from behind her
"No. How did you people find me?" Hope asked, looking at Captain America, Wolverine, The Thing [1], Iron Man[2], Black Widow[3], Hawkeye[4], and Giant-Man[5].
"We didn't find you, we found him," Captain said pointing at Luke
"Me?" Luke asked in utter surprise "How?"
"We tracked your phone and from there we managed to listen in on your conversation about going to the Moon." Captain America said before turning to Hope "I'm afraid we can't let you do what you want. We can't risk it. Now come with us,"
Luke stood in front of Hope and put his hand up, "Captain, Hope is trying to fix one of the greatest injustices against mutant-kind, one that your teammate was responsible for, doesn't she at least deserve a shot at it?"
"I'm sorry son, but it is too big of a risk," he said
Luke *sighed* "Pity…" Then Red Hulk was thrown out of the Moon's orbit and was flying back to the Earth "Don't worry he'll survive… this was just a warning… but if you still want to continue with this, rest of you might not be so lucky"
"Stand down Runt," Wolverine said and was about to jump at them until an optic blast hit him,
"I would listen to the runt if I were you…" Cyclops said as he, Emma Frost, Colossus, Namor, and Magik[6] appeared out of a portal.
"Not gonna happen Summers… Take your X-Men back home" Captain said, his Avengers ready to fight.
"Sure, but not without Hope!" Cyclops said, his X-Men ready to fight.
*Proximity Alert - Incoming Projectile Impact Imminent. Enact Evasive Maneuvers. - Impact in 5… 4… 3...* Iron Man's armor informed him "Everyone Look Out!" Tony shouted
*BA-BOOM!* a man-size crater appeared in the Middle of The Blue Area
When the dust cleared there laid beaten form of Thor, he pointed to where he came from.
"It's here," Hope said and the Fiery Bird of Rebirth & Destruction appeared.
Avengers and X-Men started to fight amongst each other. Luke was standing next to Hope, whose eyes started glowing red.
"Please stop," she said, "I said STOP!" she screamed, and a large explosion knocked everyone off their feet,
"Luke! Luke! I was wrong! I thought I could, but I can't. I can't it's too much… please… you have to kill me,"
Luke got up, he was holding his right arm, clearly injured.
"Please- please do this for me, Luke, do this for Idie, do this for everyone."
Luke shed a tear as his eyes started glowing, but before he could fire an optic blast
"No!" An optic blast from Cyclops sends Luke flying.
When everything looked to be going to hell, Tony Stark and Hank Pym tried their last Kamikaze attack, a giant armor, that is designed to kill the Phoenix. "Here Goes Nothing," Tony said as he flew towards the Phoenix
On the ground Captain America looked at Cyclops "Cyclops, Scott, we didn't have much time. You have to stop this. Step away from the girl, Scott. Time to be a leader, son. Don't fall sway to all this madness." he said.
"Madness? I'm trying to save my race. You're trying to snuff us out. None of you understand this thing like I do. None of you knows this girl like me. This was all meant to happen. Hope and Phoenix are meant to be together… And you can't stop it!" Cyclops said as Tony's Kamikaze attack struck Phoenix.
Something happened to Phoenix and was dispersed in a giant explosion.
All the Avengers were seriously injured.
"Roll call, who's alive? Wolverine. Wolverine? Are we? Are you?" Captain asked as he helped Hawkeye up
"The girl, cap. Can't see… where's the girl?"
Then Iron Man called "Cap…? This is Stark. Did… Did I kill the Phoenix? Cause it looked awesome."
"Tony, one sec." The Captain said as he saw the 5 X-Men, all possessing a portion of the Phoenix
"The gift of the Phoenix was meant for her, not us. You people… did something… to it. And now she (Hope)... now we are Phoenix" Cyclops said and looked at Hope "She needs our help. The boy too. We will take them home. To heal them. And, To ready her."
"We shall do its (Phoenix) work until she is prepared for what comes next." Namor continued
"The World can still be saved, be healed," Emma added
"We have much work ahead of us," Colossus his piece
"Time to evolve tomorrow itself. Beyond everything you've ever imagined" Magik finished
Captain and his Avengers get on their feet, surprisingly Luke stood with them as well "You're talking like lunatics, and the young lady made her decision known. She stays with us. Pyrotechnics and scary voices don't change that."
"Hah, Captain America. We are more than you now. More than humans… more than mutant. Our task is more than you can even conceive. As you cannot stop tomorrow you cannot stop us. Do not even try."
After that, the Phoenix 5 flew back to Earth.
-Luke's POV-
You know…
I actually wondered why I was sent here, what my purpose was in this world, was I supposed to do something special, destined to be a game-changer.
And I now see that wasn't true in the slightest. I was nothing more than a pawn in this grand scheme of things.
Someone who barely left a mark in history.

The Thing [1]: Benjamin J. Grimm, one of the main members of Fantastic Four, and a member of Avengers. His skin is covered in rocks after being bombarded by cosmic rays.
Iron Man [2]: Tony Stark, genius playboy billionaire philanthropist superhero, who is a founding member of the Avengers and the Illuminati.
Black Widow [3]: International Spy. She received Red Room's version of the Super-Soldier Serum.
Hawkeye [4]: A man with a bow… he has no superpowers but a fairly capable spy, and member of the Avengers.
Giant-Man [5]: Hank Pym. One of the most intelligent men in the world. He is the discoverer of Pym particles and uses it in his superhero career.
Magik [6]: A mutant sorceress. She is the Sorceress Supreme of her Limbo dimension.
