10 short days…
10 short days… and 5 X-Men are imbued with the powers of the Phoenix.
10 short days… and Utopia is transformed into a literal Heaven.
10 short days… and Landscapes are transformed to be better accommodating
10 short days… and World Hunger is practically solved
10 short days… and Clean, Drinkable Water is accessible to everyone.
10 short days… and Free Energy is distributed to every nation
10 short days… and No More War
The World has been a much better place ever since the Phoenix 5 emerged.
At least on paper, it was, but many nations were trying to create countermeasures against them, and everyone knew it was only a matter of time for a war to break out between these Gods and the rest of the world.
Including me...
When I first woke up in Utopia, I felt their power, and I was too scared to even think about challenging them
Luckily, when we (Hope and I) woke up, they told us, we weren't prisoners and could leave at any time, I asked her to come with me, she refused, saying she could hear the phoenix calling to her.
So I did what anyone would do, I left, and went back to X-Mansion.
When I got there, I found that the school was changed, they followed the directives of these Gods in Utopia.
I didn't like what I saw in there anymore.
The school was turning into a second Utopia, ruled by the Phoenix 5.
I could tell it was only a matter of days until Avengers challenged them and these Gods and turn on us.
So I channeled my inner Batman and started prepping.
I knew my powers would not be enough, neither would the advanced technology of Tony Stark or Hank Pym, which meant only a mythical solution was viable.
Unfortunately, I didn't have decades to study magic, to reach a level of Sorcerer Supreme, so instead, I had to search for a weapon that could kill the Phoenix 5.
I spend every waking moment searching for the said weapon. A legend that can harm or even slay Gods.
I searched every mythology, from Norse, Greek, Egyptian, Shinto, Hindu, and even Biblical.
There were many weapons said to slay Gods, but only three Legendary Weapons could be found by me and might work against the Phoenix.
The first was Spear of Destiny: The spear that killed Jesus Christ. According to the legends, whosoever held the spear controlled the fate of the world. Although I wasn't sure if it worked. Cause if the spear worked, Hitler would have won WW2 since he was in the possession of the Spear.
The second weapon that could slay the Phoenix was Staff of One. A magical object that is so powerful that, made even the likes of Dormammu tremble. One of the Runaways has it. At the hands of a powerful sorcerer, it might be able to banish the Phoenix.
The third weapon is the sword of legends. The one wielded by King Arthur himself, Excalibur. It can heal its wielder as well as its wielder's allies. But what makes this sword truly special was that it can kill almost anything, including Gods, Immortals, and Spirits. It was currently in the hands of Excalibur (a person, not the sword), a member of MI13.
The best option was the third one. The first was unreliable, and for the second one, I had to completely rely on Dr. Strange.
It was 10 o'clock at night, I opened the door to Quinten Quire's room.
"Quire, I need your help, you in?" I asked, ignoring the fact he was putting lubricant to his right hand while holding a picture of Phoenix Magik in the other
"What for?" He asked as he threw away the photo and got rid of the lubricant
I went into his room and closed-door "I need you to hack into MI13's database and learn one of their members' secret identity."
"And why should I help you?" he asked
I took a stack of cash, "I can give you ten thousand reasons why, so you in?"
"Make it twenty and I'm in," he said as his eyes turned to the cash sign for a second.
I took out another stack "Here you go," he quickly grabbed 20,000 and came with me to the library, where he easily hacked into their system. It's a good thing he is a Super Genius… well at least sometimes…
Quire printed out all the information about Excalibur (person), apparently, her name is Faiza Hussain. She is a Doctor in London, and the page Quire gave me even contained her address, abilities, powers, and equipment. Also a short history about her life.
I took the printed page and left the school once more, leaving a sick leave note for Ms. Pryde.
-A Week Later, Scene Change: London, Faiza Hussain's Apartment-
I stalked Faiza Hussain for the past week, I used my powers to listen and see her at all times. She hadn't even attempted to use the Excalibur (sword) all week long.
So I got restless and broke into her house, while she was at work. I searched her apartment, and found the Excalibur (sword), behind a hidden wall, it was stuck in a rock.
I took it into my hands and felt that it wanted to be used, to clash against others, not sit here until Faiza felt like it.
So I pulled as hard as I could, and it came out of the rock.
I took it, and it's scarab and left.
I wasn't really worried about her or MI13 coming after me.
Excalibur (person) was a minor character, and even if MI13 were to attack me at once, I could probably defeat all of them. It wasn't brag, it was a fact.
-Scene Change: London Pub-
I was enjoying a pint of beer before I returned to America,
When I was about to leave a barmaid opened the TV's volume
"Breaking News, After the events of two days ago, the Avengers Break-In to the Utopia and their escape with a young mutant called Hope Summers, and Phoenix 5s retaliation with attacking the Avengers Tower. A full-blown out war might be on the horizon… More on that after Meeting With Kardashians..."
"I'll be damned, it already started…" Luke said as he left the pub.
-2 Hours Later, Back In X-Mansion-
"Broo are you sure this is going to work?" Luke asked Broo, as he was strapped on a machine
"Yes friend Luke, I have been working on this machine ever since you asked me to. It is similar to Cerebra but instead uses your powers to locate someone through gravimetric fields, unfortunately, you must have met them first, and get a sense of them beforehand. I'm calling this machine Gravitisphere. So hope you are ready," Broo said and started the machine
Luke spun around and used his gravimetric sensing to locate where Hope was when the machine was stopped. "Broo did it work?"
"I believe it did…," Broo said as he looked at the readings
"Where is she?" Luke asked
"..." Broo revealed the location
-2 Hours Later, Wakanda-
After Luke arrived at Wakanda, what he saw disturbed his stomach. The streets of Wakanda were covered in dead bodies and were floated.
Namor had destroyed their Capital City with a Tidal Wave.
Luke then noticed Black Panther holding a gun to Namor's face,
"I'm going to see you dead for this Namor." Black Panther[1] said
Namor smirked "Not with a tool of a surface dweller, and not by your hand, king T'challa. You must know I would not stand for this. You must know I was going to come here and kill you." Namor smashed T'Challa's gun You must know your power is nothing compared to mine now."
"I do know that. I was stalling," T'Challa said
Avengers Heavy Hitters appeared and they all attacked him. First Rulk punched him in the face, then the thing, then Thor hit him with Mjolnir, Dr. Strange blasted him with a spell, and Vision stomped on his face.
Namor got up as if nothing happened and broke Rulk's arm. "You do not dishonor me! I am Homo-Superior! I am your King!" He then flew and a firebird appeared around him "The power was given to us! We were chosen! I was chosen! Who are you to defy us!"
God of Hammers slammed Namor's head, "You have the eye of madness, King Namor! But though I do pity you, I will put you down nonetheless. End this now!" Thor said
"Burn Asgardian! Buuurn!" was Namor's response,
But this moment gives Luke enough time to fly next to them and cut off Namor's left arm.
The host of the Phoenix was injured for the first time since getting his powers, but, even with one arm, he had more than enough strength to hit Luke with the back of his hand, and send him flying,
Namor was weakened greatly. Scarlet Witch used her Chaos Magic, one of the only things proven to hurt the Phoenix 5, to knock out Namor.
After Namor was down, The Thing run to him and kicks him in the stomach "This is just for being you," he said
When Luke finally got up, he asked, "Did we win?"
"Win? Child, this is not a win! It took all of us to knock him down. It took all we had! And look- look at my country. Look what he did to my people!" T'Challa exclaimed
"The other Phoenixes are going to come for us now. We're sitting ducks!" Iron Fist said
And at that moment the other members of Phoenix 5 really showed up. But then Namor's Phoenix powers left his body and entered the others. They were even more powerful than before.
During the confusion, Captain America opened a portal and Avengers, and Luke escaped Wakanda, leaving Phoenix 5- Phoenix 4 in there.
-Scene Change: K'un Lun-
"Avengers welcome to my home away from home." Iron Fist said
"Did it come furnished?" Luke asked out loud, but nobody laughed, except Spidey cause he is awesome.
Then the Thing spoke "So let's do the math here… we take one down, and it took damn near all of us to do it."
"We finally got a lucky shot and all we did was make the other ones more powerful?!" Spidey added
"So even when we win, we lose." Ben continued
"And that, ladies and gentlemen is exactly how it feels to be me… every day of the week," Spidey said
'Then stop being a Hero for a year, invent something useful and profitable with that 250ish IQ of yours, get a patent, be set for life. Then get back together with MJ, marry her, don't make deals with Mephisto, and most importantly stop blaming yourself for everything.' Luke was screaming in his head. He was a Spider-Man fan, but Peter Parker was making his life way harder than it should be by dividing his attention between an impossible standard of heroics and a normal life.
But then Hope spoke, "Actually, uh, what's the plan?"
Everyone turned to Captain America "Cap?"
He stayed silent and closed his eyes
"Is there a plan?" Hope asked
"Umm… isn't there an obvious plan here?" Luke asked out loud.
