This fic randomly popped in my head while replaying Cave Story on one of it's challenges, Nemesis Challenge. (Btw, nice level design except that it sometimes is noticeable Pixel didn't made them due to the use of the tileset. (For your information, he made Wind Fortress.))So this happens in an Au where Ruby and Yang didn't grew up to be huntresses and instead decide to continue living normally while they're dad, Taiying continues to do his bounty job with Qrow.

In a cold night of Winter, somewhere around in the kingdom of Vale.

A young teenager was playing on her video game console, lenght on her bed as she focused the best she could on her game. She was playing a little side scroller platform game with a robot that has a lot of guns. "Mmmh...Come on... Aw! Come on!" She screamed out as her character fell off and were never seen again.

This girl name is Ruby Rose, she recently turned sixteen years old over the span of october. she sighed as she pressed "Yes" to continue, none the less, her last run had a pretty good time. Wearing her pajamas, she shuffled around in the bed, landing on her back as she holded the console over her, the sooth music flowed in the room as the sound of jump, shoot and squeaks could be heard.

"Yes. I'm almost there!" Ruby talked to herself, as she carefully jumped over the spikes and hovered up to the final platform, "Yea-!" suddenly Ruby notices the single spike, that is stucked to the celling of the tight, harsh corridor.

...

The room was silent for a moment as Ruby realized her terrible fate has been sealed, due to one mishup that is going to ruin everything.

"Nooooooo!" she could only yelp, as she saw her character explode at the touch of the said spike.

"Nooooooo!" could be heard downstairs, as a girl with blond hair was cleaning what was left of the dishes of tonight.

The girl gazed at the celling, before smiling and going back to her cleaning.

This girl name was Yang Xiao Long, a eighteen year old teenager and the sister of Ruby Rose. She could hear her numbreous yelps of her sister through the roof, 'Heh...Cute.' she thought as she came to the last plate of the bunch, carefully tidying them, back to their slots.

Suddenly, she could hear footsteps from the roof, descending through the stairs.

Ruby busted into the kitchen, with a panicked expression Yang observed. She looked over to her sister rushing to the living room, she soon followed, throwing the towel in her hands behind her. She ended up on Ruby sliding her game console onto it's pedestal, as she regained her breath and sighed "Phew...".

"Well, guess someone was having a meltdown back there." Yang winked as she got her own pun, Ruby looked at her confused for a sec, before understanding what it meant. "Oooh, pff, it wasn't even funny Yang.", Yang busted into laughter as she looked at her sister's pissed expression. A little moment of silence passed before Yang spoke up again.

"Sooo, what's up?" Yang broke the silence while Ruby was observing the console charging, "My console almost ran out of battery." Ruby replied, as she took the side controllers. "Aand?" Yang teased about, knowing that her sister probably didn't make it, "...And I didn't pass the challenge." Ruby admitted in defeat. "Aaww, don't worry sis. Big sis Yang, is gonna help you!" Yang screamed in rejoice, laying her arms and tightening her grip around Ruby. Almost choking her, she holded Ruby in her arms and started carrying her, bridal style as she sitted back onto a single person couch.

"Yang, here's the controller." Ruby lended her controller to Yang, while sitted on her lap. Yang got a hold of the controller and looked over to the game her sister was playing, "Cave Story huh? Looks nice! The background is pretty~."

"Yeah, there are challenges in the game you can unlock while going through the story mode an-" Ruby got cutted off when Yang exclaimed, "Look, there's a coop mode!" as she pointed to the screen, noticing there was a start and 2-P coop button.

Ruby looked back at the screen, seeing that a character skin selection was next to the character. "Yang, I don't think you'll get the game-"

"Hey! I have my little sister, here on my lap that will teach me the controls!" Yang cutted her off, as she layed her arm behind her back, holding her tight next to her waist. Ruby blushed as the proximity between her and her sister, being right next to her breast didn't help at all. "Come on Ruby! What are you waiting for to play with good ol' Xiao Long?" Yang noticed Ruby blushes and smiled to herself, 'Mission Accomplish!' she thought, she closed her eyes and approached Ruby more to her waist, closing the distance between her head and her waist, as Ruby's head pressed to Yang's breast, a slight tingle flowed through Yang as she felt relief all over her.

On the other hand, Ruby felt her inside overheat as her head touched Yang's waist. She gripped the second controller with her sweaty hands and choosed her player skin, 'Curly Brace - Blond Robot Sidekick' she choosed. "Oooh! A blonde, guess that's your taste~." Yang winked, looking down at her sister while she was in total embarassement.

Yang pressed start when she saw Ruby was ready. The game started by the two of them, standing in an empty room with a door over the two of them, Ruby's character walked to the right, or should I say: Curly.

"Well, look at you! You're Quote!" Ruby exclaimed, as she pointed to Yang's character, "Oh yeah, and you, you are..."

"Curly Brace." Ruby ended Yang before fidgeting at the end, "Quote's robot girlfriend...?". Yang's eyebrows raised, a robot girlfriend huh?

They both look pretty similar to us. Is this a sign?

"Well, how does it goes?" Yang asked, brushing off her question. "Oh you can jump with B and can shoot with Y and A, you can also open the inventory by pressing X." Ruby calmly explained, as her embarassement started to move out.

Yang gave her full attention, listening to her explanations. She observed Ruby as she sitted on the armrest, her lips movement looked so smooth, just if I could-

"Yang? Are you still with me?" Ruby asked, waving her hand in front of Yang. She panicked, realising she had the same thoughts again, same thoughts, coming back again and again. Yang's thought were a mess, her mind was scoutering thousands of excuses, her face blushed as she looked back at Ruby's silver eyes. Her silver unique eyes...

"Yang? Did I say something wrong?" Ruby started getting worried as Yang stayed silent, looking at her with gloomy eyes.

Yang felt herself frustated again, why couldn't she just... Be with her, what did it change they were half sister, her mom left her very young in her childhood, leaving her behind, as her dad back then drifted into depression, a helping hand came in to the rescue, that rescue hand being... Ruby's mother, Summer Rose.

Summer was the mother Yang always needed, she thought that looking back, her life would be bland and uninteresting, if that little sparkle right beside her didn't exist.

She would have been gone, forever.

"Ruby... Come on my lap, I can barely hear you." Yang stated quietly, regaining her senses as a very confused teenager sitted right before her, "Oh, I'm sorry Yang! I should have talked louder..." Ruby admitted in regrets as Yang saw the younger one just crawl back to her lap, she blushed at the touch of her tighs to hers. 'Ruby really grew up, didn't she..' Yang thought, thinking back to them being just childs.

"So... X is fo-" *Smooch*

Yang ever so suddenly slammed her lips onto Ruby's, the younger girl expression exclaimed but smoothed down as Yang kept holding their lips together, not the best first kiss.

But it's a start. Yang delicately removed her lips away from Ruby, observing her expression shifted as she looked at her with a giant blush.

"Ruby, ever since I've known and saw you grow, my love and feelings kept growing as you went onto conquering my hearts, your personnality, your voice , your body..." Yang felt awkward as she tried to stick out the words, hoping she didn't screw anything up.

"Yang, I love you too. I-I know it's weird to you and myself too s-since we're sisters but I've felt so... Different about you, I don't think there's just sister love with you, I- I love you!" Ruby blurted as her expression shifted back to a lovely smile, not an adorable one, a lovely one. Yang's heart felt so warm ever so suddenly, she jumped to her and wrapped her arms around her, holding her the tightest she ever could. Ruby returned back the hug as she started feeling tears dipping from her eyes, Yang's tears were all scattered around her face as her muffled words were said into Ruby's neck.

They stayed like this for awhile, holding each other in their arms as they shared their heat together. Ruby was eventually the first to broke their embrace, as she was much more calm then before, Yang still felt a bit shaky, her dried tears rested on her cheeks. "R-Ruby!..."

"Yang... Let's do this thing, together." Yang expression flushed, her heart felt a big shock as she gazed in Ruby's eyes, looking ever so determined. She liked that about Ruby, her rebellious attitude that they both shared together, Ruby wasn't a forcefully disobedient person but she didn't hesitate spurning out orders when she felt wrong, it was like a fire they both shared.

"Ruby... I'll start stripping then." Ruby expression dropped for a minute and flushed back to red, "Y-Yang! I was sp-speaking of the game!" she bursted to laughter as a very embarassed Yang holded the younger girl tanktop.

The blond joined in their laughter, as a quiet laugh escaped her grasp, she rubbed her arms back around Ruby's waist, a big grin up on her face.

Ruby stopped her laughter as she felt her breast joined back to Yang's. But for once, she didn't felt embarassed or strange, she felt it was almost right, she sinked down to her embrace again and switched back to their game, as they entered the door together. She whispered "I love you Yang."

"Love you too."
