Hey guys, I kinda lost the file for this...again. Lol. Oh well. I'm pulling an old move and typing from my phone like I did with my first story on here. Anyways, here's the final chapter.

"A date...? What brought this on?"

Lyman tilted his head in confusion, and raised a brow at Lucien.

"Well we haven't gone on a real date since we got together. I was too nervous to ask why, but I figured it was cause we were still keeping it a secret."

Lyman smiled sheepishly, and his eyes darted to the side. The truth was that he never thought of it. He didn't feel inclined to ask Lucien out since they knew a bit about each other and had spent a lot of time together before he told him how he felt. He didn't want Lucien to know a date never crossed his mind.

"Yeah, sorry. I figured dates were off the table since we were staying private at the time. I wouldn't mind going on dates now that people know about us."

It'd been a few weeks since the incident with Monty and his frat. Things have calmed down considerably since then. Things are back to normal for the most part, but because of them, every frat went through a tough inspection, with Atmos himself helping carry them out. He didn't want any dirty work being done on his campus. As for Lucien and Lyman, they told their friends and in Lucien's case, his family, since Lyman's already knew, about their relationship. Of course everyone expected it, and supported them completely.

Now here they were, on a quiet Saturday morning. They were sitting on the couch, watching TV together. Lucien was sitting on Lyman's lap as usual, and had his tail wrapped around his waist.

"Great! I'd actually already planned a date out before I asked hehe. It had started with a small idea that came up in a conversation with Lucy, then next thing I knew I was excited and wanted it to happen for real."

Lucien blushed and looking up at Lyman with a smile. Lyman could only smile and pull him closer, wrapping his arms around his torso and kissing his forehead. He couldn't get over how adorable Lucien was most of the time.

"Well if you planned it I'm sure it'll be fun. I'll be happy as long as I'm with you."

Lucien smiled, rubbed his cheek softly.

"I want it to be a surprise. So just meet me outside that seafood restaurant in the city tomorrow night. Okay?"

Lyman nodded in affirmation.

"Yup. Seafood restaurant. Got it."

They went back to watching TV, and Lyman was admittedly growing excited for the date as well. His tail thumped against the couch with excitement, the thought of seafood and spending quality time with his loved one seeming like a fantasy.

...

The next evening, Lyman was standing outside of the restaurant they agreed to meet at. He had no idea what to wear, so he went to Lucy for help. She'd decided he should wear a red collar shirt and black jeans. He had on a light jacket since it was early March, and the spring weather was already kicking in. The final thing he had on was black bowtie. She'd told him that the restaurant was fancy, and also that he'd look good in it. He had also gone out of his way to get Lucien a bouquet of blue roses, hoping to start the night off right.

Lyman was more than excited for the date, until he showed up to the restaurant. He realized they'd never done anything in public, and he suddenly felt his nerves shoot up to the max. He didn't want anything to go wrong tonight, especially since it was their first date.

Lucien finally showed up, wearing a pink t-shirt and regular blue jeans. He looked at Lyman in confusion, and snickered when he walked up to him.

"What's with the bowtie? The restaurant doesn't have a dress code haha!"

Lyman blushed and looked down, suddenly feeling overdressed.

"Sh-shut up! Lucy told me to wear this...I got you roses."

He took off the tie and put it in his back pocket, and handed Lucien the roses. Lucien stopped laughing and smiled at him.

"Aw..thanks, you didn't have to get me roses. If this was any other type of date you'd make a good first impression. It's sweet you wanted to look your best for me."

He kissed Lyman's cheek, and gestured for him to follow him inside. Once inside, the host greeted them, and they were sat in a booth within five minutes. Of course, Lucien had made a reservation.

There were a few minutes of awkward silence at first, naturally. Neither Lucien nor Lyman had been on a date before, and had no idea what to talk about. They stared at their menus quietly, until Lucien finally looked up at Lyman, and let out a giggle.

Lyman was sitting up straight, and had set up his tableware to make it look like someone had set it, and had folded his table towel and set it next to his glass. Lucien smiled, thinking it was cute.

"Lyman, are you nervous? You're sweating bullets."

Lyman jumped, and straightened out once more.

"Of course not! I'm just a little hot, that's all."

Lucien smiled and put his menu down.

"Then why don't you take off your jacket, silly?"

Lyman looked down, and then realize he had taken it off. He gave Lucien a blank stare. Lucien only laughed, then got up, and sat next to Lyman on his side of the booth. He moved his tableware and glass to their side of the table.

"You don't have to be nervous Lyman. I already know you, so you don't have to go out of your way to keep things in order, or worry about messing up. Just relax, and enjoy the quality time!"

He looked up at Lyman with a smile, the same smile that always kept his mind straight, and calmed him down when he was stressed. It worked its magic, and Lyman felt himself growing comfortable.

Lucien leaned against him, and they sat together choosing what to eat. A bit later, a Beheeyem, who introduced herself as their server, came and took their orders.

Lyman couldn't quite put his finger on it, but something about being together, and spending time with one another out in the open for the world to see made him happy. Seeing Lucien lean on him, and smile, and laugh, it felt like he was showing him off exactly as he saw him. A charming and adorable Lucario.

After they left, Lucien led them to a nearby park. Lyman was a little skeptical about the next location, but followed anyway.

"Hey Lu. Didn't think a park at night was on your list of romantic places to walk."

Lucien giggles as a response, then gives Lyman a teasing smirk.

"I thought you said you'd be happy anywhere as long as we were together?"

Lyman blushes and rubs his head sheepishly.

"I did. And I meant that. I'm just wonder where we're going, that's all."

Lucien stops and sits on a nearby bench, and gestures for Lyman to sit next to him. Lyman does exactly that, leaning over while resting his elbows on his knees.

"I just wanted a nice quiet, and peaceful place to talk, that's all. I've had a lot on my mind lately, and I wanted to tell you about it."

Lyman looks down at him, confused, but nods.

"I'm all ears."

Lucien smiles.

"Well...I've really just been thinking about what we've been through since we met. I mean, this is all pretty bizarre for my first relationship."

Lucien looks up at the stars and smiles, and Lyman takes in how the moonlight reflects off of his scarlet eyes.

"I don't mean that in a bad way. I think it'd make for a good story, even if people don't believe it. Like, you know when you confessed your feelings to me, I almost didn't believe you? I thought it was a dream, or some cruel joke. It felt too good to be true, too surreal. I didn't think there was any chance you felt for me like I did too. But those were just intrusive thoughts. I decided not to let them overwhelm me and I took a chance. I haven't regretted it."

Lucien gives Lyman a wholesome smile.

"I'm really happy I got to be with you Lyman."

Lyman blushes, and his heart races. He still raises a brow, tilting his head in confusion.

"Why does it sound like this is a goodbye?"

Lucien suddenly looks away, his smile quickly fading.

"I got a call from my family the other day. I talked to all three of them. I had a long talk with my father about everything that's happened here, and at home since I left. He told me that he's been trying to spend more time with my brother and sister, and that he took off of work after what happened with Monty to take care of them. Lori even told me they've been a lot happier together, and that it almost feels like how things were before my mother left us. He's even started reading to them before bed, and helping them study. Lionel said it's been fun to have him around..."

Lucien's ears fold, and Lyman was only growing more confused.

"That sounds great, what's the matter? You wanted your father back to normal right?"

Lucien nods.

"Yes, but it's not that that upsets me. When I spoke to my father alone, I learned a lot of unsettling things. He told me the reason he distanced himself from us because we reminded him of our mother, which tore him apart. So much so...that he attempted suicide at one point Lyman. He cried over the phone, and apologized for not being there when he should've, and begged me to forgive him. But what upset me was that...he wants me to come home. Our old home in Kalos."

Lyman's eyes widened, and he felt his heart throb with pain. Lucien felt it and put a paw on his.

"I'm sorry, I really didn't bring you here for this. But I thought about it, and the reason I came here wasn't to chase some dream...it was so I could provide my siblings with a loving home when I got a job after graduating. And with my father changing, I don't really know what to do with myself now. I haven't answered him yet, but I'm not sure what I-"

Lucien was cut off by Lyman grabbing his cheeks and forcing him to look him in the eyes. The action was quick and seeing the pain in the Lycanroc's eyes was enough for him understand.

"Don't... I won't go on cliché tangent about how I want you to do what makes you happy. You already know I want that for you. But I also don't wanna lose you. You've made me happier than you can ever imagine, and I honestly don't think I'll be able to love someone as much I love you..."

Tears flow out of Lucien's eyes, and he smiles. He brings a paw up to hold Lyman's, and nuzzles it softly. He pulls him down for a kiss, smiling as their lips meet. They stay there for a bit, and Lucien wipes the growing tears from Lyman's eyes. He smiles as they part.

"You know, you really have a way with words when it matters. That made me realize that you're reason enough for me not to go anywhere. I love you too Lyman."

He hugs him, and Lyman holds him close, more than happy he agreed to stay with him.

"Now come on. Let's enjoy the rest of our date."

He kisses his cheek, then pulls him along, and Lyman happily follows.

As the rest of the night progressed, they went to the shore to enjoy the beach at night, they went dancing for couple's night at a night lounge, they grabbed coffee from their favorite cafe, and ended the evening with a nice walk in the brisk night air.

Lucien bounced along with sidewalk, with Lyman towering over him as usual. He looked down and sipped his coffee with a smile, never getting over the childlike nature Lucien carried with him. He thought the Lucario was the most adorable thing he'd ever seen. But, like usual, he always knew how to catch him off guard.

"You know...before I decided to stay with you here...I was planning on going home. I was gonna try to mate with you tonight to make the date perfect."

Lyman's eyes went wide with shock and he spit out his coffee. He looked down at Lucien, who was leaning against him while playfully laughing at his reaction.

"Don't be so shocked *giggle*, we haven't actually done it yet and I'm sure we've both thought about it. What, don't think we're ready?"

Lucien looks up at him with a smirk, and Lyman shakes his head 'no'.

"No no, it's just that this is so sudden! I know we've been flirty a few times, but I didn't think you'd want to yet. I...I'm fine with it if you are."

Lucien gave him a cute smile, before planting a small kiss on his cheek.

"Well. I think it's the right time. Let's get home."

Lyman blushed as the Lucario grabbed his paw and pulled him along the sidewalk.

They made their way home, and engaged in an act of passion, full of nothing but love, a bit of lust, and fulfillment.

Their final act that night ensured they were tied together, and marked the start of their life with each other.

END

I did it! I said I'd do it and I did, even if it was late lol. Anyways, I know this was short, but I think I wrapped things up pretty well. Thanks to those who followed me throughout this entire thing, I really appreciate it.(and no, no lemons to end the chapter I want this to be as innocent as it can stay lol)

Before I go, I have something else in the works. Idk how you all would take it, but I think the story is a little gray.
