"We have to kill All Might!" Takeshi blurted out.
I don't think I have ever seen him so eager to piss me off. I literally just walked into the "hideout", and he's already telling me stupid jokes. A joke almost as bad as calling a simple apartment a "hideout".
"I'm serious." He deadpanned. "That's what the broker wants us to do. That's the job."
I guess I'll just wait for him to get serious. He will give up eventually.
He let out a sigh. "Fine, look at this." He pulled out his phone and shoved it in my face.
A screenshot from the laptop we use in here is on the screen. A message on some shady looking website. And... it does indeed confirm that Takeshi isn't kidding. Although, it's not as bad as his dumb ass made it sound. Apparently we will be apart of a small army who are expected to hold off reinforcements. They have a secret weapon that they think can take on All Might. It sounds like all I have to do is help them until All Might forces us to retreat.
I nod my head in understanding.
He pulls his phone back, revealing an inquisitive look on his face. "You seem pretty fine with this Mori. Do you really think this will go well?"
I shrug my shoulders.
Honestly, I think it will be a dumpster fire. We just have to hold up our part of the deal, and make sure we don't get caught. If the broker tries pulling something... well... we'll have to get rough with him. I hope it doesn't come to that.
"Well, if you aren't worried." He took a seat on the nearby couch. "I guess I shouldn't be either."
Sighing, he slides his thumb down his phone screen. "We have to meet up at this warehouse by 13:00 Wednesday, the attack starts at 13:10. We'll will be infiltrating via a warp quirk and exfiltrating the same way."
Wednesday? He could have just said tomorrow. I'm guessing the text says Wednesday... which means he got this news earlier and is just now telling me today. Typical Takeshi, I could have been prepared to skip school tomorrow. I could have been more prepared for this job.
"The main target is All Might, but we don't have to have to worry about him. Our job is to take care of anyone in the areas we are assigned to."
That's a little concerning.
I've barely ever fought pro heroes, especially not one who'd think they can help All Might in a fight. Most of my combat experience comes from fighting criminals, stealing their scores after they've already done the hard work. There is also the bounty hunting, bounties placed on murderers by the vengeful loved ones of the deceased. The bounties usually bring in challenging fights if I can't restrain them quickly. I usually run from pros, beating one would bring too much attention to me.
"Don't worry, I get the feeling there won't be anyone stronger than any of the Shie Hassaikai we've faced." He said, noticing the expression on my face.
I guess that's a better point, but there is a reason why I didn't try to think about them. A grimace forced its way onto my face at the thought of them. The pain they've caused us. Not physical pain, none of them were fast enough to get a good hit on me. The pain was mental. My old crush joined was adopted by them a long time ago. Turns out she's the long lost sister of their new leader. We encountered them and she showed me where her loyalty lies.
"Kaiya?" He asked.
"Hn." I responded.
I made the noise out of frustration, but that didn't stop him from smiling. That's how everyone is at orphanage too. If Mori makes any sound that isn't out of pain, it's cause for celebration! It's annoying.
"Maybe she'll come around one day!"
I won't get my hopes up.
"I think we are ignoring the most important thing though." His eyes narrow. "All Might... say we do kill him. What happens to the after that? His death will have an impact on society y'know."
All that really means is that all these lazy heroes are going to have to get to work when the real villains come out of hiding.
"The impact of the death of All Might, that sounds like more violence to me."
Something about that... makes me feel... morbidly curious.
"Never mind, I guess that isn't our problem." He leaned back into the couch, his phone shutting off with a click. "You know, put the nail in the coffin earlier, Mori."
I leave the wall I was leaning against to sit on the other end of the couch. He must have finally gotten kicked out of the orphanage. He is 20 after all.
"I'm not mad at you... well I'm a lil mad, just a bit."
Am I supposed to care?
I give him a look, not one displaying my current thoughts. A smirk I know he will always understand. He responds with a smirk of his own.
We raise our fists. "We'll be fine." He says.
Our fists collide.

Vrrrr vrrrr!
My phone wakes me up with a jolt. I sit still for a moment, letting my hatred for mornings set in.
Wait, why is everything yellow?
I brought a hand to my face and felt a piece of paper stuck to my face. I pull it off, seeing that it's a sticky note.
"Remember 13:00, sleepyhead." It reads.
I've got until 1:00 to get to the warehouse, and it is 12:40... I can make it. Speed is my thing after all. I just need to get ready. That's what'll take time.
After brushing my teeth I walk to the bedroom and find my usual "criminal" attire on the bed. A long sleeve white compression shirt, along with a hooded black leather jacket. I also wear white cargo joggers to fit whatever wallets I may steal. It didn't take more than a moment to put it all on.
I turn to face the closet on the other side of the room. The important stuff is in there. I open the closet and find my case exactly where it should be. I open it, revealing pairs of carbon fiber shin and arm guards, a pair of sheathed tantō swords, and my mask.
This mask, it's the most integral piece of my alter ego... "Frame". As in a frame of animation. It comes from what people see when they witness my quirk. Since I didn't give a name to be called by, eventually my reputation made one for me. Thankfully my rep is mostly underground. Unlike most villains, I'm actively avoiding the attention of the authorities. That's what the mask is for.
The less people who know Mori exist, the better. As long as people refer to me as Frame, I know my life isn't over. The mask is a unique black ballistic mask. It is angled vertically, giving a folding look to it. The final piece is normal black utility gloves. Not fingerless, I aim to show no skin whatsoever. Besides, this outfit is edgy enough as it is.
I place my arm guards under my sleeves. The look on blade user's faces when they think they have me cornered, only for me to block a strike with my arms is priceless. My tantō swords are thin enough to fit under my sleeves and connect to magnets on the arm guard's straps. The shin guards double as footwear so that I can better control my movement.
Let's see... 12:55.
I can still make it!

I might not make it! I'll only be a minute late at the worst, but still!
I'm moving at my max speed of 56mph along the rooftops. A mixture of my natural speed and exploiting the teleportation aspect of my quirk. If anyone is looking up, they'll see me practically flying off of buildings with leaving a trail of transparent images of myself.
I can see the warehouse a few blocks away. I've probably got a minute or less left. I push myself and my quirk to the limit, likely reaching 60mph. I reach a building across the street from the warehouse within seconds. It's about four stories high and 28 feet away from the warehouse. So naturally... I dive off.
On my way down, I notice that the whole area seems to be void of people. Makes sense, at least whoever planned this knows not to have an army of crooks just assemble anywhere. But still dumb enough to mess with All Might.
Before hitting the ground, I activate my quirk. Using another exploitation, I defy physics a little to avoid crashing into the ground. Key words being, a little. I can't completely stop my momentum, at least not instantly.
Might as well use this make an entrance.
I shoulder bash through the front door, and continue speeding forward. This warehouse isn't what I was expecting. It isn't a dusty dilapidated mess. I looks fairly new and in active use.
Maybe whoever organized this...
I'm about to crash into someone!
My instincts kick in, everything slows. I kick my left foot into the ground and spin on my heel, just barely dodging them. There is a whole crowd of villains turning their heads to face the entrance. I quickly scan through the crowd while maneuvering through them.
There he is! Getting... hemmed up by a dude just as muscular as he is. Of course.
I weave my way through a few more people before coming to a sliding stop right next to them. I look over my shoulder to see everyone facing the door. A harsh wind blew in as they waited for someone to come through.
"Sup Frame." Takeshi greeted.
I reached into my sleeve, pulled out my tantō, and held it to the neck of man threatening Takeshi. He turns his head and sees me, eyes widening in response. He stared at me for a second, weighing his options. It took him a few seconds, but he eventually let go and took a few steps back.
That's my reputation at work. The bounties mostly. I've only had to kill once. The rest get sent back to the ones they've wronged... defenseless.
"That's one helluva entrance." Takeshi praised.
He can't see through my mask, but he knows I'm smiling.
"You'll get what's coming to you, Heavy." Takeshi's aggressor threatened.
Now that I look at him... yeah. He is one of my active bounties! Skull mask and green body armor. Maybe I could ta-
"I almost killed you." A chilling voice speaks from behind me. "He's a very important party member for this raid. So I suggest you wait and kill him later."
I nod.
"Good, good... try not to piss me off again." I hear footsteps and scratching as he walks away. "Kurogiri."
A black mist manifests at the top of a shipping container. It coalesced into a portal from which a sharply dressed man emerged from.
"I'll be going over the plan so that it will be fresh in your heads."
-螺旋-
I underestimated them as villains. They have a plan. They have a weapon. They have a goal. They're way more malicious than the broker let on.
They're willing to kill 1st year high school students.
I don't have a complex moral code to justify my crimes or anything, but I'd hate to kill someone that young. It hits too close to home as a 17 year old 3rd year myself. The guilt I'd feel. They deserve a chance.
It's too late to back out now. Shigaraki would likely let them kill me. I recognize a lot of the creeps here. People I have stolen from, beaten up, etc. Worst of all, Takeshi and I are separated. He's going to an entirely different zone. We work best in unison. I'm better off just winging this situation for now.
The main squad went in not too long ago. The zone portals should appear any second now. I'm assigned to the landslide zone, due to my maneuverability. Kurogiri made a point to not underestimate the students. I hope they are strong enough to at least fight back.
The purple portal appeared in front of my team. My heartbeat quickened.
I'm not so sure about this anymore.
I thought this "League of Villains" would just try to ambush All Might, get crushed, and retreat. Turns out they are ambushing him along with his class, with a monster that could possibly beat him. I didn't even know that he's a teacher now!
I'm knocked out of my thoughts by someone shoulder checking me.
"Well would you look at that! The Frame is scared. Heh, your not so tough."
Whatever happens, happens. Let's just get this over with. I walk towards the portal. I'll be the last one in, but I'll also be the the last one to be noticed.
I walk through the mist... and find my whole team has been frozen! I quickly use my quirk to find a hiding spot. Luckily, there is a large piece of a destroyed building to hide behind. I peek around the building, noticing a red and white haired student walking through the winter wonderland he made out of the landslide team. A brief moment passes by before 2 remaining members jump out and attempt to ambush him.
But... they are way too slow. If this kid is really training to be a hero, he should counter effortlessly.
And counter he did. Albeit a bit slow. He side steps the bird man's spear and freezes both of them both mid lunge. The kid breaks off a piece of the bird man's weapon, causing him to fall.
"Hey, at this rate, your cells will slowly die." He speaks, after a second of thought.
"I want to be a hero." He raises his hand to his second attacker's face. "I would like to avoid something so cruel if possible."
This kid doesn't even seem fazed by this!
"On what basis do you think you can kill All Might?"
Is he about to cry? The same guy that said I'm not so tough?
"What is your plan?" He finishes
I should probably stop that... Nah, it's too risky. I doubt the kid could keep up with me, but even so, I am done for if he so much as freezes my foot to the ground. My quirk doesn't work if I'm restrained in any way. The risk isn't worth it. I'll just find something else to do.
Snow boy starts running towards the central plaza. I guess he has all the info he needs.
Bwooshh!
The hell was that?
I turn towards the source of the sound. A giant water spire shot upwards, spitting out some kind of large mass in the distance.
I might as well check that out. It came from the shipwreck zone, I can run on water for a short time. I should at least be able to check the situation.
I speed down the far left side of the land slide zone to avoid an encounter with Frosty, and make my way to the fountain at the central plaza.
As I near my destination, I hear the familiar sounds of bone crushing, face bashing combat. I hide behind the fountain before once again peeking to survey the situation.
The presumably knocked out bodies of the central team littered the ground like the aftermath of a war. But... I only see one guy taking them on! A man in all black with yellow goggles and a crazy scarf is demolishing them. He looks so scruffy too, he's definitely a grown man. A pro, but he definitely isn't All Might or Thirteen.
He wasn't mentioned in the plan.
Shigaraki and Nomu are standing in front of the fountain. Why is Hands just watching him? Nomu is... staring at me. This thing is apparently the weapon they were referring to. It certainly looks strong. A bird faced monster that looks like it could crush a truck under it's heel.
Shouldn't you be fighting All Might, freak?
I look towards my original objective, the shipwreck zone. The mass I'd seen in the distance is the entire zone's team. They're just floating in the water. They seem to be stuck together. The ones responsible for it are likely the three students hiding at the shore.
I don't get it, are my allies too weak or are these students too strong? School hasn't even been in for a week, how the hell are they pulling this off?
Those kids are likely planning on helping scruffy out. I think Shigaraki can easily take him if they don't interfere. That's where I can make myself useful. Just gotta sneak around them.
I plan on entering the water unseen and sneaking up behind them to take a hostage. Shigaraki can take charge from there. A hostage is always useful. I just need to take the long way and enter the water from near the fire zone.
I wonder how Takeshi is doing in there?
I sneak away towards the fire zone, only to be stopped halfway there by a somewhat pleasant surprise.
Think of the devil...
"Oh! Fancy meeting you here Mr. Mori!" Takeshi's slightly muffled voice spoke from beneath his mask.
Either his sleeveless hoodie got incinerated or he just wants to show out. Either way he's top less and it's kinda pissing me off. One way or another he always manages to lose his shirt in battle.
"I had to bail out of there. Karate kid was using hit and run tactics. There was also this blue haired chick taking out the whole squad without even using her quirk!" He exclaimed. "Get this, she wasn't even focused!"
What! What's happening!? I thought the students would be the least of my worries!
"I know right!" He laughed, seeing me flinch. "She kept staring off into the distance, that she had something else to do. I had to bail."
Whatever, we don't have time for this.
I signal for him to follow me, which he does without ceasing his talk about the girl. I began walking into the water.
"Aren't these kids are a little too stro-" he paused.
"-what are we doing?"
I point to the trio of students and held an invisible hostage in my arms.
"Oh, cool." He fishes his phone out of his pocket and places it on the ground. "You think you can retrieve it for me before we leave?"
He didn't even notice it slide into the water. Dumb ass should have gotten the waterproof case like I told him to.
I give him a nod and we resume. We close in on them quickly, despite swimming carefully to effectively sneak up on them. We stop about 5 feet away from them.
A normal looking green haired boy, a girl with long green hair, and a small skittish looking boy with... grapes for hair. I give Takeshi a look and slowly submerge my head underwater, he follows suit. I signal for Takeshi to take the green boy and... now that I look at her, she must be some kind of frog judging by her feet and costume design. I might need to injure her to even the odds. My quirk doesn't work under water, she'll have a huge advantage if I don't. Grapes probably won't be much of a threat.
We slowly rise to carry out our plan.
Crunch!
Crack!
That sounds painful.
I raise a hand to Takeshi's chest, holding him off.
Nomu is brutalizing the scruffy guy.
"M... M... Midoriya, I can't take it anymore." Grapes squeaked. "I'm sure you must be having second thoughts, right?"
I sure as hell would.
A hostage isn't needed if they don't plan on doing anything. I don't really want to try catching a frog in water anyways.
Our exit appears next to Shigaraki. They are too far away to hear, but if Kurogiri returned, he must have killed Thirteen and scattered all the students. Wait... oh no, Shigaraki is scratching again. Does that mean he's annoyed? Damn, someone must have escaped or something! That means reinforcements.
Now we're on a time limit. Hurry up and kill him! Hold up. Is All Might even here?
I feel like I would have seen him by now. There's no way he would let that man get crushed on his watch. So he isn't even here? I figured this would be a disaster, but it's the class that's too strong! Not even All Might!
"They're going home? Did he say they're going home?"
What?!
"That's what I heard." The frog responded.
No! Takeshi and I are too far away!
I could carry him, but I think we still wouldn't make it with how much he'd slow me down!
"All right! We're saved!" Grapes rejoiced, embracing the girl.
"Yes, but..." Frog girl started before pulling Grape boy's head back and holding him underwater. "I have a bad feeling about this, Midoriya.
Midoriya...
"Yeah. For them to simply retreat after doing all this..." Midoriya agreed.
That's a good point.
I get the feeling Shigaraki is a sore loser. He's likely going to do something to make him feel better. That will give us time to join him in his retreat.
Wait a sec.
I pull my head below water again to confirm my suspicions. Yup, Grapes sees us. His violent thrashing is being misunderstood and ignored. That's unfortunate.
I raise my head and hear Shigaraki speaking a bit louder.
"Oh yeah. Before we leave, let's smash some of his pride." He look towards the shipwreck zone.
"Frame." He calls.
That's a queue! Damn it, I wish I didn't have to do this. Sorry dude.
In one swift motion, I unsheathe my blade and raise my arm before thrusting downwards into the purple kid. I can't see him from above the water, but the blood is telling enough.
The frog girl's eyes widen and her tongue shoots out to grab me. Too bad she didn't notice Shigaraki close in with impressive speed. He grabbed her tongue before it could reach me... but nothing happens?
"Damnit." Shigaraki laments. "You really are cool... Eraserhead."
Midoriya jumps out of the water. I hear a crunch from Nomu's direction. Midoriya screams. I'm barely, just barely able to see it. A black blur pushes Shigaraki out of the way and takes a devastating explosive punch from the boy.
This 1st year did that?! Who the hell are these guys?
There's too much smoke to see if Nomu handled that punch. I doubt it. That hit shook the whole facility.
He then turns his head to me and inhales deeply.
What the hell is he doing? There's something in his mouth. A green light... is that? FIRE!
A green fire ball shoots out of his mouth and would have burned my face if I hadn't went underwater. I don't think my mask can protect me from heat!
Well would you look at that! Grapes survived! He is holding onto the frog girl for dear life!
But how?
I find there are five "grapes" shish kabab-ed on my blade.
I'm relieved, lucky little bastard.
I rise to the surface find the smoke has cleared. Nomu has indeed tanked the punch.
"Your move... well... your smash... are you a follower of All Might's?"Shigaraki asks.
Midoriya doesn't answer.
"Oh well. I'm done with you."
Nomu picks up the fire breather and raises his hand to kill him. Shigaraki reaches for the frog girl.
I kind of want to stop it, but even if I could...
CRASH!
An explosion went off at the USJ entrance. The smoke is hiding him, but I already know who it is. There's no way it wouldn't be him.
All Might.
