Touga inwardly chuckled, having an idea of what had the Miko so frazzled all of a sudden. Thankfully for Kagome though, he decided to let the subject drop. He turned his head to gaze at the moon shining high in the sky, and could not help but to compare the beauty of it to the young woman at his side.
Now:
The next morning, after breakfast, the group cleaned up camp and set out for the palace. A few hours later, they sensed a familiar aura and Touga once again hid in the bushes. Everyone got into fighting position. Within two minutes, Kimi appeared once again, but they could tell she wasn't alone, if the immense demonic aura that seemed to be emanating from all around them was any indication.
"Inuyasha, don't you recognize this demonic aura? It's Ryukotsusei!" Kagome yelled.
"What! She brought that bastard back too!" an enraged Inuyasha screamed.
The majority of the group knew who Ryukotsusei was and were NOT happy. Rin had heard stories of the beast that managed to give Touga a fatal injury. She knew he was bad news. Shiori, on the other hand, hadn't heard much about the dragon, just that he was a fearsome enemy, but was eventually defeated. (Though, she might have just heard Inuyasha's version of the story).
In the bushes, Touga barely managed to stop himself from gasping and risk revealing himself to Kimi when he heard what Kagome said. He was shocked and enraged that one of his worst enemies was back.
"That right, you fools. And he has a score to settle with the mutt." Kimi said as she left.
Within seconds, a very familiar dragon was right in front of them and started attacking. That's when Touga jumped out of the bushes, sword in hand, and deflected the attacks. To say that Ryukotsusei was enraged to see his greatest enemy right in front of him would be an understatement.
"Why do we even bother chasing this bitch down if she keeps coming to us?" Inuyasha said.
"Less talking, more fighting, Inuyasha." Touga said as he ran at the dragon.
"I'll put you back in your grave! You, your son, and that bitch will pay for what they did to me!" Ryoukotsusei yelled as he charged at the group again.
"Fat chance of that happening. I killed you once, I can do it again. Ready Kagome?" said Inuyasha.
"Ready." said Kagome as she nodded and took aim at the dragon.
Inuyasha nodded back and joined his father in the fight. He needed the dragon to attack with his yoki or the Backlash Wave wouldn't work, but the dragon knew better. He wasn't going to make it easy for them. By this time, Sesshomaru, Kagura, Sango, Miroku, and Shiori had joined the fight as well. Shippo stood back to protect Rin.
Ryukotsusei had the same characteristics that Kagura had when she was controlled by the Beasts of Hell and was more powerful than ever.
