I decided to do a genderbent version of What's wrong with me. Hope you enjoy it.
Chapter 1
Disclaimer: I don't own the Loud house
Thursday afternoon in the Loud house, Linka was in her room blankly flipping through the pages of her magazine. All of the sudden, Lynn burst through her door. "Hey Linka!"
"Hey Lynn," Linka replied almost listless.
"C'mon, it's go time!"
"For what?"
"For you to be my sparring partner," Lynn said, showing his sister boxing gloves.
"I don't know if I'm up for it this time," Linka flatly told the athlete.
"Oh come on. At least 10 minutes," Lynn begged.
She sighed, "Fine, let's go."
Outside in the backyard, the siblings had their boxing gear on and practiced. Lynn was really going at on offense, throwing all sorts of punches and kicks. Linka on the other hand, played defense…or supposedly is. She was pretty much distracted, and mainly dodged her opponent's attacks and delivered late punches.
Lynn seemed to notice. "Uh sis, are you even trying?"
Linka shrugged, "Yeah, I"m bringing it."
Lynn dodged a punch and delivered a swift kick to his opponent as she went down. Linka groaned as he helped her up. "Alright that's enough. Head inside if you want, I'll stay out here."
Linka did what he suggested and went inside the kitchen to get herself some water. Next she went into the bathroom, and washed her face. In the process, it looked like she was trying to clear her mind. After that, while sitting on a chair, Lane popped out of nowhere.
"Hey Linka, how does the furniture let you know what's up…by saying 'I have something to chair with you'," he laughed at his joke. Linka didn't respond much other than giving him a blank stare. Lane frowned and tried again by pointing to the ceiling light, "Aw come on, lighten up, will ya?" he laughed once more, but again, the latter didn't react at all. Lane was a mix of frustration and concern, "Okay, what gives, Link? You haven't done anything."
Linka sighed, "Sorry Lane, I'm just not in the mood right now." She gets up and leaves to go upstairs leaving her comedic brother wondering with concern. As Linka reached the top, she runs into-
"Linka," Lars startled her, jumping in fright. "I need your help on a poem. What's a word that rhymes with pain?"
Linka unemotionally tells the goth, "Umm…try drain, rain, insane."
"Hmm…those might work," Lars considered writing down the rhyming word, "Thanks."
Linka shrugged, "Sure." She sighs and leaves to her room.
Lars reads his finished poem.
One of my own, looked to be in pain
All of her emotions are down the drain
I fear for for my sister,
a future full of doom
Now I must ask, why so gloom?
Lars finished reading, and looked at Linka's room. "Sigh. Why, big sister?" he asked himself.
Linka at the moment, was sitting on her bed when Lexx suddenly barged in. She flatly greeted, "Hey Leeeeexx!" and exclaimed as her little brother dragged her by the arm, out of her room.
Lexx brought her into his and Leif's room. "Linka, play tea party with me," he told her.
Suddenly, Lief grabs Linka's arm, "Barf! Linka, come outside and make mud pies with me," and started dragging her towards the exit.
But Lexx wasn't about to go down without a fight and grabs her other arm. "No way! Vanity before age!"
"Oh, then I guess I should play with her, first," Leif taunted as the twins pulled their sister's arms.
"Tea party!"
"Mud pies!"
"Tea party!"
"Mud pies!"
Finally, Linka managed to pull away from both boys. "Boys. Ugh, sorry, but I'm not up for playing with either of you right now." She leaves the twins' room, leaving both boys looking at each other, concerned about their sister.
As Linka leaves the twins' room, she hears a small cooing sound. She looks down to see her baby brother, Leon looking worried. "Inka sad?"
Linka picks him up, "Oh, don't worry, Leon. I think your big sister is just a little tired." She carries the baby to his and Levi's room, and sets Leon down in his crib. "Here you go, little bro." Linka turned around and lets out a heavy sigh
"Greetings, female sibling unit," said Levi right beside her. "I detect you're troubled about something?"
"What made you think that, Levi?" Linka asked.
"You were emitting a rather large breath of dejection. Street name: sighing."
"Oh, well I'm fine," Linka tried to sound reassuring.
But of course, Levi wasn't falling for it. "Your uncomfortable expression suggests otherwise."
Before walking out of the room, Linka told her, "I'm fine, Lee. Really."
The white haired girl exited the room just as Loni came up to her. "Linka, I need your help," he drags her by the arm into the bathroom.
"Loni, what am I doing here?" Linka asked, confused.
Loni explained, "I bought this new hairspray at the Mall, but my hands are so shaky, I'm scared of them getting stuck to my head," he showed his quivering hand, "Since you can do Lexx's hair, can you mine? Pretty please?" Loni begged his little sister.
"Maybe another time," Linka listlessly denied the request, "Ask Loki."
She started to leave just as Loni expressed concern. "What's wrong, Linka?"
"Nothing, Loni."
"Are you sure, Linka?" Loki asked as he entered the scene.
"Yes, Loki. I'm fine," Linka replied with slight annoyance, "I just need to lie down." She leaves the bathroom shortly afterwards. Like with the other brothers, the two oldest boys were concerned about their only sister.
Linka walked down the hall when Luke popped out his room with his signature blue guitar in hand. "Hey sis! Wanna have a little jam sesh?" he asked, making a 'hang loose' sign with his hand.
She sighed, "Thanks, but no thanks, Luke."
The rocker brother got concerned at the way she responded, "Why the blues, dudette?"
Linka shrugged at him, "Just feeling off, I guess." She walks past Luke, remaining the concerned look on his face.
Linka goes inside her room and closes the door. Then she lets out another heavy sigh and lays on her bed with her thoughts. What's wrong with me?
