Realm of Eternal Rain? Very true indeed. My hair was already drenched, stuck to my wet face like my wet clothes stuck to my wet skin. It was cold. Rivulets of rain ran down every bit of my skin. I was acclimated to a warmer climate. I refused to let the shivers that ran through me be obvious on the exterior however. This was the first time I had seen him since dropping him into Gaia many years ago. I had hoped he would perish back then. It was interesting that he hadn't.
My demeanor was composed, in spite of the dreadful rain. I knew I was smirking, I could not help myself. It delighted me that those who dared opposed me now lie in defeated heaps of equally wet clothing and armor. None of them moved, except for him. Pathetically, he crawled to the long haired princess. He was strong. Though obviously still insignificant, he had given me the most trouble. His resilience intrigued me.
I watched him gather her in his arms; the agony in his face was evident. He tapped her face with a gentle touch, trying to get her to come to, I supposed. I was observing as if watching a play, performed so authentically by his talented troupe. I chuckled as I made a careful movement to remove a lock of hair that was sticking to my face.
He looked at me with venom. The sharp gaze gave me start for just a second, but my smirk returned and I simply fixed my hair a bit more, and then fruitlessly wiped some water from my neck. As my hand lowered, I realized how he was watching me.
I tested him. Touching my wet stomach, casually at first but it almost felt good to have his gaze locked on in such a way. I noticed immediately how his expressive nature betrayed his thoughts. His mouth fell open and when his eyes weren't following my hand, they flicked up to my face.
I teased him. My hand slid lower, trailing across my torso, down my hip to my thigh. His gaze lit me on fire. I forgot all about being cold. My lips parted too, with every intention of the sensual expression I wore as my fingers teased across my pale skin with every bit of confidence.
Something about how his attention went from worry for his princess, to utter desire for me, drove me mad. Not much thought was given to this course of action, so I went with what felt natural. I had to tease him. I smirked at him again, biting my lip this time before I turned to walk away.
My dragon came quickly when summoned, and I stole away on the beast.
I hated Burmecia and the rain that enveloped it. But I found myself returning sooner rather than later.
I lurked through the shadows, trying to find traces of his presence. The warm candle lit windows of an inn nearby gave me cause to investigate.
I approached the windows to look inside, carefully, from an angle. I passed a couple rooms with no luck before turning the corner to the next row. Almost immediately I froze, somehow in that same moment his wide blue eyes met my own. He darted from the room. I made my way further toward the back of the inn, so we wouldn't be so close when he rounded the corner.
"You!" he accused as he came to face me. I smirked. "Me." He rushed toward me all too impulsively. It was easy to deflect him with magic, he fell back. Looking up at me with frustration, perhaps he contemplated his next move in those seconds but I simply gazed at him. He was wearing less, now, and getting wet rather quickly. His pants and white shirt were already sticking to his skin, "Mm." I hummed as I bit my lip. He looked good wet.
Honestly, I was distracted when he scrambled to his feet. Too distracted to deflect him as easily, and considering how to be careful with his lesser protected body. I quickly found myself pinned to the wall of the building behind me. A laugh escaped me and my hands came to his chest almost ready to push him away but my touch was gentle. I stroked the muscle there with my fingers and tilted my head slightly as I looked at him.
That same confused interest he'd shown earlier reappeared. I gave him no cues, simply waited to see how he would react. I could already tell he wasn't going to try to harm me. Perhaps he knew better with my hand already on my chest, he knew how quickly I could conjure magic. His grip barely let up, if at all. But he leaned in closer, and his eyes fell on my lips.
My lips parted and I tilted my head back ever so slightly, inviting him. That was all it took before he kissed me, harder than I expected. An aggressive, hungry curiosity made him kiss me firmly, deeply. My fingers on his shirt gripped slightly and his dominance coaxed a soft moan from me.
My composure had vanished entirely, my hunger for him evident as we kissed heatedly, grasping at one another's wet bodies and soft sounds of need escaping both of us now and then between those kisses. It seemed forever we kissed like this, but it also ended much more quickly than it started.
"Zidane?" Her voice rang through the falling rain and the night. We both froze, heads turned in the direction the call came from. "Zidane~?" She called again, voice louder this time, closer. He stepped back and looked at me, his mouth opened. I put a finger to his lips and gave a single shake of my head.
Her voice sounded a third time and the glow of a lantern appeared at the corner of the building, and I vanished in the other direction, stopping just out of sight. Around the next corner and back against the wall, listening and trying to calm myself from our kisses.
"Zidane, there you are!" She sounded worried, "What happened?" "Thought I saw something, I got… distracted…I'm sorry, let's go inside." Their voices receded as the distance between us grew, and he returned to the warmth and the comfort of the inn. With her.
