Invasion Pt II

~Lilly's POV~

I should've kept the gun. Man, if only I hadn't run into that couple... But they had a child so I did the right thing. I know I did.

But I shouldn't be thinking about people I don't know, I shouldn't be thinking about them. I should be making a plan. Something happened to the guys, April... Something happened and I know it. In my gut, I can feel it. I know it. I should be figuring out what I was going to do about myself. This invasion could last days, weeks...maybe it may just in fact be the end and I'm the one of few. I'm safe here in the guys' place. I don't have to worry about shelter...food? Food, what do they have? Probably pizza... I should really go check.

I got up and went to the fridge, I opened it noticing my hands and just how much they were shaking. I'm finally coming down from the adrenaline... Or I'm finally realizing that I'm going in this alone. No support... No help. I'm alone.

Nothing... The guys had nothing good at least, in their fridge. So, whatever they have ill just have to eat and shut up. I'll ration... One piece of...weird pizza...a day. Okay, so when that's done, what then?

Maybe they have some type of map. Most likely not, I'll have to make my own.

I turned and jumped when I saw April's dad standing there. "Identify." He ordered.

I placed a hand on my heart and sighed. Thank god I wasn't alone. "Mr. O'Neil... Thank god you're okay! Where's everyone? Did something-"

"Identify." He repeated.

I blinked, "What?"

"Identify or I will be forced to view you as a threat." He sounded robotic, like he was reading off of something or that he was acting- really poorly.

"Mr. O'Neil... You remember me. I mean I met you just a couple days ago. Lillian... Lillian Aguilar." I chuckled, stepping closer to him.

He looked at me with a look as if he was trying to process everything I just said. Then he blinked, "No record of Aguilar, Lillian. Not useful. Intruders must be viewed as threats. Threats must be...exterminated." He pulled his hand from behind him and pulled out a giant bat.

My eyes widened in fear, "Exterminated? What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" I spat out. I didn't care if this was my best friends father. He will not talk to me like that- no one will.

Mr. O'Neil suddenly launched at me, the bat going over his head and then slamming down onto the island counter. I yelped and sped out of there as fast as I could, my feet heading towards the exit before I even realized what direction I was going in. But, God knows how this happened, suddenly he was right in front of me. As if he took one giant leap and just landed in front of me.

"What are you doing?!" I screamed, dodging the next blow. I tripped over my own feet when I jumped out of the way of the bat, falling on my knees.

I wasn't safe here. Why is he trying to kill me?! Why is he acting like we didn't just meet a week ago!?

"Mr. O'Neil wh-" I yelped when I saw the bat come crashing down once again. I rolled over and finally got up to my feet. Before I could leave I felt a sudden jolt in my back, a blunt force pushing me- sending me flying almost out the lair. I landed on the ground with the wind knocked out of me. My face hit the floor hard, but I had to get up and leave.

I have no clue why he was doing this to me!?

I coughed, holding my stomach as I brought my right leg up to stand. My whole body began to shake with fear- for a skinny, balding man, this dude is freakishly strong. I looked back, just in time to see him preparing for another blow. My eyes widened, and I bolted out of there as fast as I could, going back the same way I came in. Something was wrong. Maybe he wanted the place all to himself but he could've just politely said "fuck off" I would have understood.

Now, as I limped my heavy breathing self back to the sewers, I realize that this is it, I'm getting capture or getting killed. Damn, I should've brought Donnie's stick, or Leo's sword. I should have gotten that gun. Now I have to sneak back somewhere. I could go home and just wait to be captured. I couldn't just be useless...

"Not useful..." His words ran in my head. Who was I to argue? I can't fight, I'm probably a terrible shot, if I use the guys' weapons I was most likely only going to hurt myself. What was I to do? I am useless.

I took a deep breath to regain all clarity, then I climbed out of the sewers. There was no one, it was silent. And when you're on the island of Manhattan, and if it's ever silent then you're fucked.

I pushed my way out of the sewers, wincing at the pain that felt like it was coming in between the bones in my knees. I knew where I was, and my house wasn't that far away from here. I had to limp over there and limp quietly.

And that's what I did... I limped as fast as I could, and when I shook off the pain I ran until I got to my door steps. My front door was open, not only that but the door was nearly broken. The doorknob looked like it was shot off and a huge dent in the middle of the door clearly shows that one of those things kicked it down. I walked up those stairs, one by one and each one I climbed I felt like my world was being shattered.

When I got inside, I collapsed. I had no idea where to go but here and I couldn't even close the fucking door to be 'safe'. But this is not going to be a fucking apocalypse-horror/the walking dead-experience. I wasn't going to die. I mean the army has to be coming to rescue everyone. Fight off what we can. Right? How long could this thing really last?

I wipe the tears from my eyes and began to crawl to my room, not even bothering to shut the door. There's a giant whole! Really no use anyways...

I stopped at my bed room, laid down in the fetal position, cried softly...and after convincing myself whatever happens happens, fell asleep.

~Raph's POV~

Hours later...

"You sure you okay, April?" Donnie asked April again...for the fortieth time. I would know, I'm keeping count...

April chuckled, "I'm fine, Donnie. Promise." She said. "I'm just glad all of this is over."

We were crossing the roof tops, heading to the lair for a little celebration after saving the world. Hmm... Let me repeat that. We. Saved. The. Fucking. World. Us! Me included. We deserved a huge party to last us until next month. And if I knew my city, I would say they would be celebrating until next month as well.

"You okay, Leo?" I asked softly, giving his shoulder a pat.

He smiled at me, "Yeah, I'm great actually."

"You guys," April gasped suddenly.

We all stopped and turned, "What?" Donnie asked concerned. "What's wrong?"

"What happened to Lilly?" She asked. "What if she was captured? What if she's somewhere she doesn't know?" She began to pat her pockets frantically. "One of you, give me your phone please!"

Donnie quickly gave her his cell, "I'm sure she's fine April. We'll go home and watch the news to see just how many missing persons there are. Lilly is a strong girl."

"Yeah, she can handle herself, remember?" Mikey chimed in, clapping April on the shoulder.

"She didn't answer... What if she's...hurt or missing... What if-"

Donnie grabbed her shoulders, "April, if she's hurt she's with the nurses and doctors that are taking care of everyone who was captured."

"Yeah," I snorted. "And besides, it's not like the Kraang kill." They don't... The worst they could do is torture... But not...murder... Um... "T-Try calling her again."

April scoffed, "She's not answering!"

Everyone suddenly turned and faced me, all staring at me like they do when Mikey says something that isn't stupid. Even April looked up and smirked. "You worried about Lillian, Raphael?"

I grunted...

"Raphie is worried about his little girlfriend? How adorable!" Leo said, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, pinching my cheeks.

I pushed him off, "She's not my girlfriend!" I yelled, my face growing really warm.

"Awe, look it... He's blushing." Mikey teased.

I glared at him, "I can't be fucking worried about a friend? We were all worried about April. Jesus Christ! You guys are unbelievable." I spat angrily. "Just fucking call her."

April looked down at the phone, "She's not answering. Something obviously must have happened." She said her voice suddenly softening. "Should we go looking for her?"

Donnie sighed, taking the phone away from her. "We will... If Lilly hasn't contacted us today then we'll look for her tomorrow. I promise."

"She's alright." I scoffed softly, rolling my eyes. She wasn't dead or hurt, she was fine. I know it...

"She'll be okay April." Donnie calmed her softly.

April smiled softly, "You're probably right. She's probably just hanging around helping people. She's probably with her mom. Or David."

I huffed when a sudden feeling rose in my gut, causing me to be very angry. Not that that's weird for me but I don't know with what or who- no clue. I have no idea why i was just suddenly angry. Probably because they're being annoying... Yup that's why. "Let's go." I scoffed.

Lilly was fine. She would have gotten away, she would have fought back. I couldn't see her getting taken by the Kraang. Was I worried? Yeah, of course. It's Lillian! She's one of my best friends...out of the two that I already have. But Lillian is too stubborn to be taken. No one lays a hand on Lillian without there being payback. But even if she wasn't capture I still wish I could have known where she was.

Of course I was worried... It's Lilly... How could I not be?

We all got walked into the lair happy that we could finally relax. We can take a breather and then party like we saved the world. Oh wait... We actually did that, huh?

We watched as April went to hug her dad who kept apologizing for everything he had done. Leo went over to Splinter when he came out of the dojo with a relieved smile on his face.

"My sons, I am glad to see you all." He mused peacefully.

"We did it, Master." Leo smiled. "We defeated the Kraang."

Master Splinter place a hand on his shoulder, "Yes, and for that I am prouder than I have ever been of you... My son."

Mikey laughed, "We showed them! You should've been there Sensei! You would have seen how I made one cry!"

"You did not." Donnie said, pushing him slightly.

I'll let him have his fun.

"What? What do you mean?" April barked. "What'd you do to her?" We all turned towards April and her dad. She stared at him in disbelief while his head hung in shame. "What did you do, dad?" She asked sternly.

"I didn't know who she was. But not me... I don't know. It's complicated to explain how I was but I could see myself doing things but I..." His hands grabbed his daughter's, he sighed shamefully. "I didn't recognize her. So I viewed her as a threat. And I...attempted to..."

April blinked, "What? Kill her?"

He stayed silent.

"You tried to kill Lillian." I growled, anger bubbling inside of me. But I had to calm it. I knew he couldn't have helped it. I still was angry beyond belief.

"I'm sorry. She ran off after I tried. I can't remember if I actually hurt her though. when you mentioned her, it triggered something. I'm sorry." He repeated softly.

"What do you mean when you didn't recognize her? You met her when you had it on. So-"

"But I didn't meet her when I didn't. Meaning I had no memory of her before the abduction. But I remember meeting her, briefly."

April shook her head, "She was here for longer than just a brief moment. She almost slept over it was so late."

He shook his head.

"But she's okay...right?" I asked, worriedly. I knew everyone was looking at me again, if I had five fingers I would only use one at the moment. They seriously need to stop with that girlfriend shit. It's only funny when it's Donnie.

"I remember her running away. But I'm not sure if I caused any unforeseen damage to her."

April sighed, "Well, I know you didn't mean it. It's okay dad."

No it's not okay... But I guess it is at the same time. I don't like anyone touching someone who can't defend themselves. And Lilly is the last person who would actually know how to fight back. She seems frantic, she screams in order to get attention from other people when in danger. I should teach her some self defense. At least enough for her to easily get away from someone.

"Have you guys communicated recently? Is she okay?" Kirby asked, his eyes were just as concerned as April's were on the rooftop.

April shook her head, "For whatever reason, she's not picking up. But, I'm almost positive she's fine." Her eyes locked with mine, almost as if she were telling me. "She's safe."

I blinked and looked away immediately. Why'd she look at me like that? Weird... I knew she was okay...but I also knew there was a chance that she was hurt and alone- that was probably more probable than anything. But she was okay... I knew that much.
