The week dragged on and it was terribly slow. The six friends, Syria now in the Winx dorm. Even though, she was extremely and still upset and angry with them, Faragonda had expanded the dorm for four bedrooms. The other dorm mates that Syria had at one point, it was always constant arguing. It even landed some of them in detention, as they attempted to get into a fight causing Syria to be in the infirmary for a while with a swollen eye. Syria was much happier being in the same dorm with Bloom.
Still not having told Bloom about her day dream she kept to herself. Wanting to find the right time to finally tell Bloom her dream.
After classes on Friday, the six of them headed back to their dorm. "Bloom, we need to talk. Can we go to my room when we get back?" Syria asked. Bloom nodded, however that wasn't until they were stopped by a senior of Alfea. "Griselda wants to see you in her office, pronto." Stated Callie. The six of them hung their heads low and headed down to the main floor of the building and to the center of the building. It was below Faragonda's office and had no windows but one but one couldn't see through it unless they were flying.
It was Flora who spoke up first. "Um, Ms. Griselda? We were wondering if it might be possible to get our powers back earlier than Tuesday? Perhaps Sunday, so we can catch up on our school work…." It was broken when Griselda's eyes flashed dangerously behind her glasses.
"Your little field trip to Cloud Tower was completely against the rules, not to mention dangerous. You're lucky we didn't turn you into jumping beans and sell you while the circus was in town. Rest assured you won't be getting your powers back a second before Tuesday."
She went in front of her desk. "As it is, Ms. Faragonda and myself decided that losing your powers will not be the extent of your punishment. You are no longer confined to your dorm room. However," Griselda added sternly when the girls looked too excited. "That is because you will spend the entire weekend cleaning the castle from top to bottom."
Syria and Tecna looked at each other, "The whole castle?" Tecna asked incredulously, thinking about the countless of classrooms. "No," Griselda said kindly. "Just the stairs, corridors, the classrooms, the bathrooms and both towers."
"Oh, well that's okay then," Stella muttered sarcastically. "I thought you said the whole castle."
Bloom tried to bite her lip in time to stop the sudden laughter she could feel bubbling up but it came out regardless and Syria put a hand over Bloom's mouth to smother the continued laughter. Griselda however didn't comment, and simply clapped her hands together twice and cleaning supplies appearing before her. She handed Stella a broom. "Here you are Miss. Stella. Your new best friend."
Tecna took out her mini laptop and started a worldwide search on that particular subject. Griselda closed it. "You won't need a manual, Miss. Tecna." "No manual? How am I supposed to use that then?" Tecna asked. After all she came from an all technology realm. Everything there was future related. Flora giggled. "Don't worry sweetie. It's not that complicated."
Griselda dismissed them, while the four other girls got to work cleaning, they understood why Syria needed to speak to Bloom.
Syria lead her way into her room and sat on the bed, thinking of how to say. "Bloom, I've been having these dreams. Their sort of a blur. But in the first part, there is this bird it's on fire that keeps going in and out of a girl. I think it's me when I was a young child." She started. "Then the dream changes, I'm standing in a beautiful garden. Only it's not a garden, it's a cemetery. I'm at least I think it's me, I'm holding hands with an older guy looking down at this grave stone. I couldn't see who it was. The next, the building is crumbling to the ground. This woman is holding an infant. And in her other hand, she has a small toddler with her, I think it may be me." She paused to see Bloom looking at her with awe.
"The dream ends after that, as I am screaming." Syria said a small wet ear comes down her cheek. "I think you're the baby. Which means I was at least two or almost two." She explained. They were never twins. "Syria you are meant to see this dream. I think you should see Flora about her making you a dream team. That way you won't wake up and it will calm you. What happens next must be vital." Bloom explained. The girl in question got up, "Let's get back to the other girls."
They walked out of their dorm and into the main lecture hall. There they found, Musa and Stella. They told them that Flora and Tecna were in the corridors. Syria choose to go find Flora and Tecna, and help them in the corridors.
She spotted them near the stair case that went in both directions. Tecna tried to use the broom with a bucket on her head, using the broom to sweep the portrait higher than they could get. The portrait came falling down shattering with thousands of pieces laid on the ground. Both Flora and Syria leapt out of the way. Tecna had dived to the left.
"Woah, okay. They're just going either have to give us ladders or let it go that we didn't dust the portraits." Syria said.
"Yeah, let's get the rest of the stairs down, and head to find the other girls. We got nearly all the corridors on the left side of the castle, tomorrow we'll do right."
They entered the lecture hall, and saw the water and suds all over the ground. "Woah." Syria said. "What happened here?"
"Bloom taught us a new fight. It's called water fight and I won!" Stella explained. "This won't do well with Griselda, what if she finds out?" Tecna asked.
Syria had gripped a bucket and a mop. "Indeed what if?" Griselda had an act of turning up without anyone hearing her come in. Griselda crossed the room towards them. "I want to let you know that Charmed Life is playing at Magix Stadium tomorrow night. And all of Alfea and Red Fountain will be there. Do you know this group?"
Syria and Bloom were in the dark but the other four nodded. "I've got all their CD's." Stella declared excitedly. "Good thing. Because since you're not allowed to leave campus you won't be attending the show."
The six girls deflated, depressed at the thought of being stuck cleaning the school while all their classmates were at a concert.
"Perhaps if you ask nicely one of your classmates will pick you up a t-shirt." Griselda said snidely. She looked towards Syria. "Miss. Syria please come with me. The headmistress would like to talk to you."
Syria presented the mop and bucket to Bloom and went out of the lecture hall with Griselda.
Griselda opened up the door and let Syria in first.
If things weren't going well, it wasn't. She had no idea what she had done this time, when Griselda instead of leaving she went and stood by Faragonda whilst Syria had a seat.
"Don't worry you're not in trouble again, Syria." Faragonda stated calmly. "Our librarian told me you've been doing a lot of research on what the Magical Dimension calls the Phoenix." She started. "It's not possible for a fairy to have this power, however. It's a wizard's power and only one known wizard alive today. Sadly he only had a daughter and that daughter had a daughter." She went on. "Is there a reason why you're looking into it?"
Syria twirled her fingers. "It started a few weeks ago. I've been having these dreams. It starts with a phoenix that's on fire going in and out of a girl. The next is a little girl holding an older man's arms. The child can't be more than two. Their looking at a grave stone. Then the worst of the dream which I haven't been able to get further. I always wake up. The walls are crumbling over a woman who is carrying an infant and dragging a little girl with her." Syria responded.
There was complete silence. "Hmm, it is possible that you have a connection Syria. And I do believe I know the man who was with this girl while they were standing a grave stone." Faragonda told her. "But I can't do anything right now. You are still grounded." Faragonda stated. "You may go, Syria. Griselda I need to be left alone. Have a goodnight."
Syria got up and turned the knob on the doors and left the room, with Griselda right behind her.
As it was late out, instead of heading back to where she last saw the girls, she went to her dorm. She quickly opened it and went it just as fast she closed the door. She knew Griselda didn't trust her for a second. She didn't trust any of the girls in fact especially not after what happened earlier that week.
"What's the rush?" Tecna questioned she had just came out of the bathroom, dressed in a robe and her hair in a towel. "Nothing important." Syria answered.
Syria was the next individual in the bathroom. She turned on the water and turned it too hot. Feeling it, it was just right she stripped her clothes and got in. Soaking in the steam of the shower.
Syria rose early the next morning, they were able to do their studies and some homework before the six girls saw and watched the rest of the school in the buses that took them off to Magix City for the concert..
"We'll their gone." Bloom announced as she turned her head to the other girls. "Let's get back to cleaning so we can relax the rest of the weekend. Not that it would matter tomorrow. We'll be doing even more chores." Stella replied sarcastically.
"I know! Let's invite the boys over before they leave!" Stella said getting out her phone as they reached their dorm. "We'll tell them that we need some heroic assistance and we can make sure they grab Tyler before they leave!" Stella said looking at Syria straight in the face. "Tyler." Syria said. "We didn't even exchange numbers, Stella."
The boys came over swiftly on their hover bikes. Tyler was with them as well. "Hi Syria." Tyler said gently as he made his way over to her. "Hey." Syria said. Her cheeks turning pink. "So where is the trouble?" He asked looking around. The boys didn't know their powers had been stripped for the week after their break in at Cloud Tower.
"Stella you tell them." Syria answered.
There she was explaining everything to the five boys. They also explained the faster they get done cleaning, the faster they could finally relax and have a small party with the boys.
Down at the quad, the three witches appeared out of thin air. They hid in the shadows just as Riven emerged out onto the patio of the Winx Dorm.
It was rather a close one from getting caught by Riven, who would alert the others that the Trix were there. "
"Should we go?" Stormy murmured, not quiet able to fully hide the note of nervousness in her voice.
Icy glared at her, "Because of those losers? I want the Dragon Fire power and I'll burn in the flames of Valhalla before I let a couple of freshman pixies get in my way." Icy hissed back. "Me too," Darcy nodded her head in agreement. "Once we get it, we'll have so much power they'll be naming entire realms after the three of us."
"So let's conjure out the crystals already," Stormy said excited. "They'll lead us to the power in no time."
"Hang on," Darcy added quickly, as the two began rummaging in their cloaks for the crystals. Hey glanced at her and paused what they were doing. "Are we really going to let them have them have a party, like they're all that?" she said and pointed up at the balcony overhead where the music and laughter was still audible.
A wicked smile spread across Icy's face. "How about we summon a Cretan Minotaur from Limbo? He can crash the party and get them well and truly distracted while we search and get the Dragon Flame?"
They joined hands together and began to chant in an ancient language.
"Inya-e-sorinum. Methos-via-comos-fractos. Creature lost in the maze of mayhem. Cross the void!" A four armed Minotaur enters the main hall from limbo and burst through not the door but through the whole wall, leaving a hole shaped like a monster.
The ground shook hard. The Winx and the specialist go to the balcony to check it out. "Must have been a mini earthquake." Syria chipped in. Just then a table was seen from the distance of the cafeteria, with the window shattered.
Riven insisted on the girls to stay where they were. The five of them jumped onto their bikes and left the girls dorm and raced down stairs to the quad where the giant like hole was in the wall.
The Winx tracked down the monster that decided to crash their party and destroy Alfea. It was a Minotaur and according to Syria they were extinct. Not a single one was alive that very day. They were able to capture it, and go find the source of its creation once more ending in Faragonda's office, where they tracked down the Trix who were looking for the dragon flame. Only to be caught by Headmistress Faragonda. Faragonda stripped the Trix of their powers and sent them straight to headmistresses Griffin's office.
There they had the powers returned to them. Their punishment was over.
Note from the Author: Please know that, I follow the series not word by word as this is mainly about an Original. Some chapters are a lot longer than the others. Also I would love for the reviews to flow in. I would like to know who is enjoying my story or who isn't as I will need to know if I should continue on to season 2 or stop after I finish season 1 book.
