A month ½ passed since their powers had been stripped and given back. The Trix hadn't attacked them or dared come near them since that time. They must have also been punished by the headmistress of Cloud Tower. The long classes got harder, even though they were freshman, exams were coming up just after the supposed holiday that was just around the corner. Stella kept complaining on when Sky would ever call and ask Stella on a real date. She told him that she didn't ever want a letter asking her on a date. She wanted to hear his voice from the other line.
The six of them, mainly Bloom and Syria had exam prep and practice scenarios in the form of a dimension wide public holiday. Syria and Bloom both exhausted, some of the nights falling on the couch, weather it was Syria falling asleep on Bloom or vice versa. They had both terrifying dreams, Syria remembering more so, then anyone. It was like a day dream once again. She kept remembering her past, was it her past, however?
It was the night before the holiday, it was no exception.
She was standing in a now familiar under water caver, with inky black surrounding and pressing down on her until she felt like she was suffocating.
"Bloom…." The voice said in her head as she dreamed. It was a chilly night, so the girl had her covers over her. "Who said that?! Who's there?!" Bloom asked as she dreamt looking around at her surroundings.
"It's me, Bloom…. Don't you remember me? Don't you know my voice?" asked the voice once more. Then she remembered. "You're the one who helped me escape from Cloud Tower, with the rest of the girls and Syria. She told me she also heard your voice." The girl looked around again. The voice did not show herself yet.
"Come to me, Bloom!" Bloom walks forward. "Find me!" "Find you? How? I don't understand." Bloom commented. "Look around…look within…"
Flora had called Syria into their bedroom as they watched Bloom talk in her sleep. "Huh? What does that mean?!" Bloom asked. Syria and Flora watched. The golden cloth of the voice touched Bloom's hands. "Uuh!" "You know the answer, Bloom! Ask Syria! She knows my voice." Bloom looked up, and saw her. Daphne she gasped at finally seeing the voice true identity.
"You will find me, when you find yourself…" The bright light of Daphne emits as Bloom shieled her eyes from the brightness. "Your destiny awaits you….!" Bloom walked forward a little bit. "Tell me what my destiny is! Please, tell me your name!" Daphne stretches her hand towards Bloom. "Take my hand, Bloom. And prepare for the journey." Daphne vanishes only to leave her echoes. "The Journey? What are you talking about?" "Prepare!" The voice fades away.
Bloom awoke from her dream, talking as fast as she could. "What? Ugh?! Prepare for what journey!?" Bloom asked only to see Flora and Syria standing over her, whilst Syria took a seat on her bed. "Bloom what did you see in your dream?"
"Someone dressed in a golden dress, she was wearing a mask. I couldn't see her face." Syria looked at her curiously. "That…she was in my dream too." Syria mentioned.
Flora walked back to her side of the dorm. "We'll I'm all packed!" She had her luggage with her.
"What do you mean?" Syria and Bloom asked at the same time.
"I'm going home! Today's the Day of the Rose." Flora mentioned. When the other two were dressed, the others were in the living room.
Tecna had also finished up her packing. "Well, what about classes?" Bloom asked. "There are no classes. This is a holiday where everyone celebrates their parents! It's one of my favorite days of the year!"
Bloom looked at Syria, "Sounds like Mother's Day and Father's Day together!" Bloom mentioned.
Flora looked at Syria, "Are you two going to go home?" Syria and Bloom shook their heads. "If we knew ahead of time, we would have made plans to go home. But with both our parents working, Monday-Friday, we would rather not sit at home waiting all day to have two hours with them for dinner then be up early the next day to get back to Alfea." Syria answered.
"Perfect!" Stella examined. "You and Syria can keep us company!" Stella and Musa had come out of their rooms. They watched Tecna and Flora leave on the bus and made their way to the Dining Hall.
The four girls grab their breakfast and sit at their normal spot on the long tables, two on each side. "I hate when the school's empty….I don't know why, I just find it depressing." Stella mentioned. The only teachers that were left, were Griselda and Wizgiz. However the small transformation teacher looked like he was on his way out.
"This is so very depressing," Stella said quietly, looking around at the bare room. The stillness in the dining hall seemed louder than the usual chatter and scrape of cutlery. She took a long drink of her coffee.
"Goodbye girls, Whizgiz said cheerily as he passed them on his way out. "Going home?" Musa asked. "Of course. Going to see dear Mother in the nursing home," he said with a smile. He figured the brooch he usually wore and transformed it at a once into a perfect rose with a shower of gold sparks. "A present," he told them. "Have a good day off," he said with a wave and left the dining hall.
"Hey Bloom, and Syria." Musa said taking a bit of her biscuit. "Why are you two going home?"
The two red haired girls looked at each other, "Well it's not a holiday on Earth. We have things like this but their separate, Mother's Day is in May and Father's Day is in June." Syria nodded at her, "I just made plans with Tyler." Syria said. "He called before I got into the shower. He told me he can help me find out why I have this Phoenix Power if it was meant just for wizards, and one wizard with that." Syria told them. "Since they have a also have a fairy large library. I can search their archives." Syria said she grabbed a piece of biscuit.
"I've not told anyone yet but, all's not well with the royal family. My mum and dad are getting a divorce. So now that will be two palaces and only one child getting pulled between them, so its complicated to say at the least. But these things happen right?" She physically shook herself and turned her friend. "What's your story, Musa?"
Musa put down her biscuit. "I lost my mom when I was just a kid, so today's always been kind of bittersweet."
Bloom frowned and caught Stella's eyes. "But your dad…"
"….is on a realm wide hip hop tour. And if it wasn't that, he'd find a million excuse not to be with me today. Yeah," she said slowly at the sympathetic look on her friend's faces. "Our relationship isn't the greatest.
A bright loud ring went off, Syria grabbed it. "Tyler's in the quad. I'll see you three at dinner." She called.
Syria ran out of the halls and found Tyler waiting with his hover bike, in civilian clothing. "Hop on." He said. He handed her a helmet.
He started up the bike again and rose in the air, as Syria put her arms around his waist.
She had never been this far up in the sky, in fact she had never actually used her wings before.
They landed in the quad of Red Fountain. "Wow, you have an amazing school, Tyler." Syria got off the hover bike and took her helmet off and put it on the hover bike.
"You mean it's not pink?" Syria blushed. "Well. I mean we are fairies." He laughed. "The school could have been white, white is a good color. But no it's pink and blue." He told her laughing.
"Let's go." He told her confidently.
He offered his hand to her, and she took it. "Do you have a large library?" Syria asked as he led her towards the entrance of the school. "Did you get permission for me to come here?" she asked. "No permission needed, it's not like this is Cloud Tower. Plus, it's the Day of the Rose. You may find your origins here in the books." He told her. He touched a doorknob and turned it, leading them inside.
Inside the Red Fountain school library. It was an off white color for all the bookshelves. It had white and black tile flooring. It had five rows of books on all sides and it kept going as they walked. Probably about 15 aisle of books not to mention the side walls where you could climb the stairs to reach the other floors of books. With a big white crystal chandler was in the middle.
Alfea had a smaller library but it had separate rooms for pretty much every title. It didn't have two floors, only one it was all white with shades of grey inside the Alfea School.
"This place is magnificent." Syria said letting go of Tyler's hands. "I am sure, now we can find something on the Phoenix." Syria told him. She looked around and didn't see the archive where, just standing there and telling it, the books would fly towards you in an instant.
"I know, but you won't find it with a magic book. We have to do this the old fashion way. Research." He indicated the computer. He sat down and typed in, 'Phoenix – Fairy.' He pressed the enter button and one book popped up. The title, "Rise of the Phoenix, Legendary." He wrote down the number and handed it to Syria, who took it.
"2nd floor, Aisle 15." She said running towards the stairs and down the aisle ways. She stopped when she came to aisle 15. The aisle ways weren't just one, they looked like streets, with how long they were. "Wow." Syria said.
Her eyes scanned up and down the aisle. She even transformed and flew, clumsy up in the air to reach the top shelf, Tyler laughed. He stood on a loose tile and it rose up. "What? They have flying tiles?" Syria asked laughing. "How else would we get to the top shelf, there isn't a ladder." He mentioned. She rolled eyes and flew back to the floor, her fairy clothes going back to her everyday clothes. "This is the last book that has to do with the Phoenix." Syria said. The tile that Tyler had been lowed and the clear green light vanished from the tile.
Syria brought the book over to the table and sat down with Tyler next to her. Not 30 minutes later, he gently placed a hand on her hand and helped her close the book. "We should get to Magix, the race is about to start." He told her. He ran over to green lit tile and floated back up, placing it back up in its spot and floated back down, the green light vanishing again.
Arriving in Magix, Syria saw Bloom first but she wasn't in her every day clothes, she was chasing after a Red Fountain student, Riven. "Bloom!" Syria called out, but the other red head hadn't heard her.
Syria looked down the street to find Stella, whom was also in shock, as Bloom had been chasing after Riven. "Stella, what happened!?" Stella began to explain and boom! Riven had crashed and landed right in front of the witch, Darcy.
"I don't know, Riven crashed!" Bloom landed next to them, "Riven, I tried to save you! The helmet was cursed or something." Bloom cried out, in tears. "Right, say all you want. Stupid Earthling. How did you even get your wings? You're not a fairy." Riven told her. "I'm transferring to a new group of Specialist." Riven told Brandon and Sky. He ran off, Darcy running after him.
