Song for this chapter- The Great Escape ~ Boys Like Girls
Meeting Casey Jones
~Lilly's POV~
I wiped the sweat from my brow as I finally finished tying my shoes. The bell had just rung and Raphael was outside waiting for me in that weird car the guys had. This is the first time he picked me up and honestly, it's kind of nice to have your boyfriend pick you up from school. But, we can't be doing this constantly.
He texted me saying that his brothers knew he was here for me, but the only person that teased him was Donnie.
To be honest, I don't like hiding our relationship. But I also think that there's a certain thrill to hiding. When we make out its almost like the chance of being caught just ignites a fire in me and I force myself to extinguish it by pulling away from his kiss. He never minds though...
"So Lilly," I heard Jennifer start as she came over to where I was. "I heard you're in the talent show." She whispered with a smirk.
I blinked, "What? No I'm not. Who told you that?" I scoffed.
"Everyone is talking about it. Your name was on the sign up sheet." She suddenly backed away. "You did write down your name right?"
"The hell I did." Suddenly, April's pleading voice plagued my mind. "That little..." She signed my name up even after I said no! I'm going to kick her ass! "I'm not in it. I'll forfeit or whatever. I'm not getting on that stage." I growled, walking towards the exit.
Jennifer followed soon behind me, "Well, I was just going to say good luck winning against David. He joined the minute he heard you were in it."
I stopped in my tracks, my blood boiling at the sound of his name. I can barely stand to dance next to him or even see his face and everyone knows this. He's so petty... "Arrogant prick."
"I know. I heard about what he did to you and everyone thinks it's fucked up. So I hope you kick his ass." She said, giving me a pat on the back. "He's going to be dancing a solo. And he's good so I hope your solo is just as good as his."
"But I told you-"
"Well, I have to go. I'll see you later!" She shouted before leaving me with an unfinished sentence.
I walked over to April's locker and waited. I'm going to kick her... I need to relax. It's not like I can't back out of this thing anyways. Nothing's official until it is. And this is just some stupid talent show. High schoolers having talent, what is this? High School Musical? I wish. We're lucky if half of us actually graduate college.
I took out my phone and texted Raph to just wait five minutes. Then I texted April asking her where she was and that I was pissed at her.
'Surprise!' She texted back almost immediately.
I growled, turning just to kick her locker. "Damnit April!"
"She's not here." I heard a voice say from behind me.
I turned around to see a boy, hockey stick in one hand and puck in the other, tossing it into the air. This is the guys April was tutoring. "What?"
"She left early. Said she didn't feel good. Who are you?"
I huffed, scanning him with my eyes as if I were a machine. Tattered clothes, wash up backpack...definitely smelled like a 'bad boy'- cologne and musk. "Who's asking?"
"Jones... Casey jones." He said with a smile before tossing me the puck. "And you?"
"April's best friend." He doesn't need to know me. I don't care to know him.
"Oh really? You're that Lillian chick she's always talking about. Huh..." He said, his eyes wandering. "You're different that what I imagine. Remind me of Irma."
"Okay." Never asked but thanks. I guess...
"So... How close are you and April?" He asked, almost hesitantly.
I tossed the stupid puck back to him, "Really close. Extremely close. So close, that if you try to pull us apart one of us will bite." I growled. Does he honestly think he has a chance with April? Ha! April is perfect this guy is a butt. I can totally sense it.
He held his hands up in surrender. "Alright, so you're close. Does April tell you everything?"
"Yeah. But she's said nothing about you if that's what you're going to ask." I crossed my arms over my chest, my phone began to vibrate. Since I wasn't interested in anything this guy was saying, I answered. "Yeah?"
"Can you please hurry up? People are getting curious and I'm not afraid to hit the gas and leave you." Raph said playfully.
"You wouldn't dare."
"Bet."
I groaned, "Fine. I'm coming." I hung up the phone, placing it in my back pocket. "Well," I started, my eyes staring even harder at this Jones fella. All he did was smirk a toothless grin, and winked playfully. I nodded and left without saying another word. April better not... This guy is...ugh.
I walked outside just to see what Raph was saying. Everyone that came out of the school just stared at this giant vehicle just parked, sticking out like a sore thumb. "Well, if you park directly in front of the school!" I yelled, knocking on the sliding door. When it opened, I stepped in. "Couldn't you park somewhere, I don't know, a little secretive."
"In the day time in New York? Nah." He snorted.
He began to drive away slowly at first then as soon as he got a chance he hit the gas sending me falling over and nearly hitting my head against the wall of this stupid wagon. "Jesus, Raph."
"Sorry, trying to get ahead of traffic." He chuckled. "You okay?"
"I'm fine. What even is this thing?" I asked, turning myself around in the sitting position, there's no point in standing.
"A train car. Donnie turned it to a car you can drive it on the street." He explained almost sounding proud.
"Maybe you can teach me how to drive." I said. "But not this car. A real car."
Raph shrugged, "Maybe, can you drive stick?"
I stayed silent, my cheeks growing warm with embarrassment. What did he mean by that? Of course I can't! I can't even drive a regular car! Why is he asking that?
"If you can't, I can teach you." He said so nonchalantly.
"Uh..." Teach me? I'll be teaching you.
He turned to look at me, suddenly breaking out in laughter. "Lillian. You know, sometimes I wonder who's the pervert in this relationship. You or me."
"I'm not a pervert."
"Then what were you thinking about?"
I frowned, "Cars. You perv." I lied, feeling my face grow even warmer.
"Oh really? Alright then..." He said with a sly smile as if he had won something. Little butthole. He's always so cocky it pisses me off. "Anyways," he chuckled amusingly. "How was school?"
He never misses a day without asking that question. "Fine." My heart fluttered in my chest causing me to get angry with myself. I was mad at him and he can say one sentence and I can immediately act like nothing ever happened. I'm like a 12 year old again.
We rode the rest of the way in silence, all the time I was trying to calm my stomach from the stupid queasiness I felt the entire ride. When we stopped, he hit the break so hard I nearly knocked myself out when my head, yet again, hit the wall of this goddamn... I glared at him when he got up and held out his hand, again wearing that cocky smile. I didn't take it and stood up. He then offered to take my bag and I again refused. "You mad?" He finally asked with a smile that made me want to smile.
"No." Once the doors slid open, I walked out and into the lair. "Hey Mikey," I said plainly upon seeing Mikey just chilling on the sofa.
He grinned his loving grin, "Hey sis! How was school?"
I threw my bad onto the sofa then soon after threw myself. "Fine, everything is fine. Except when I found out that I'm in the talent show and so is my stupid ex. And the only reason he's in the talent show is to win and shove it in my face." I groaned, feeling my blood boil.
"Wow, talk about petty." Mikey joked.
"So petty!"
"Wait," Raph started as he came around the corner to sit somewhat close to me. "Found out?"
I suddenly stood up, "Is April here?"
"She's in the lab with Donnie. Why?" Raph asked.
Before anyone said anything else, I ran into the lab as fast as I could. There she was, April and Donnie leaning over a table fixing or working or looking at something. Whatever. I didn't care. I saw my target and I was locked onto it. Before April could turn around I lunged for her, tackling her to the ground. She let out a blood curdling scream as I pinned her abnormally strong self to the ground. I grabbed her hands and placed them above her head. "You little ass! I can't believe you signed me up for that stupid thing after I specifically told you I didn't want to do it!" I yelled in her face.
April chuckled underneath me, "I did it because you're talented."
"That's your opinion. And even if I am, I told you not to involve me with this stupid talent show crap!" I raised her hands then slammed it back onto the ground. "You're going to pay!"
"Oh?" She laughed sounding so amused. "You gonna punish me?"
I growled, "First, I'm forfeiting my place. I'm not doing that stupid talent show. Second, I'm locking you up and throwing away the key."
April stared at me with wide eyes, "Lilly, you can't! After all I've done-"
"All you've done!? You did everything without me knowing!"
April sighed, "But Donnie and I made this voice-exerciser so that you could practice singing before the competition." She explained, her eyes shifting over to Donnie who was standing there just watching in shock, his face flushed. "Tell her. Donnie!" April yelled, waking him up. Singing?
Donnie blinked at the both of us, "Oh... Um, I made this as a way to improve your...singing." He cleared his throat, grabbing a microphone and handing it to me. "You just pick a song, the lyrics pop up here so you can sing it, and in the end it tells you what you did, what you can improve on and rewards you with points. Once you reach a certain number you're ready."
I sat down on April's waist, staring at the microphone. "So...you made a karaoke machine...for me?"
"Well," Donnie suddenly realized the similarities and sighed heavily in disappointment. "Yes..."
"We made it so you could practice any song and rock at it." April said, resting her hands on my hips. "That way the only thing you need to do is just show up to the show and you win."
"You be quiet or I'll put my entire weight on you. You're still in trouble." I huffed angrily. "You all know how I feel about singing. I can't sing."
"That's a lie." Raph's voice came in from the entrance to the lab. "You can sing. And you should."
"You shut up, I'm still ticked off with you too." I said, pointing the microphone in his direction.
"What did I do?!" Raph grunted.
I held the microphone to my lips, "Shut up Raph." I said, smiling when it echoed out of the speakers of the machine. "Donnie, I really don't sing."
"Try not to think of it as singing, more like...dancing but with words." He said with a smile, holding out his hand to help me off of April. "You can do anything you set your mind to Lillian. It's been almost a year since we've known each other and I don't need to be smart to know you're extremely talented."
"That's not the point." I groaned, handing him the microphone.
"What is the point? Why are you so against this?" April said, getting up from the ground.
"I'm not good with crowds. People. They terrify me. I could pass out in front of everybody."
"Well, this is a great way to get out of that shell of yours and...become a new person, if you will." Donnie comforted, making a really good valid point.
"You deserve to be heard, Lilly."
"You deserve to be heard." I mocked in a high pitch voice.
"I don't sound like that."
"In my head, you do. Fine. You know what? Fine. Move this thing into the living room and I'll practice. But I'm not putting any effort into it." I snickered, unable to find all this hard work amusing. I mean, they really want me to sing in this stupid talent show shit.
"Great! We'll set it up!" April said, grabbing the microphone and headed out of the lab, Donnie soon followed barely carrying this huge machine he made.
Raph crossed his arms over his chest, "Why are you mad? Because I called you a pervert? Well, I'm not apologizing. You are one." He pushed himself off of the door he was leaning on to walk towards me, once he got close enough he turned around scoping out the area then turned back and gave me a sweet kiss on the lips.
I blinked, "What was that for?"
"You didn't give me one when I picked you up. So I'm giving you one now."
I rolled my eyes, "Ugh, you're so cheesy I can't stand it!" I laughed, giving him a slight shove. "Give me another."
"Oh I'm cheesy?" He smiled before placing another kiss on me.
I felt my heart jump to my throat, "Mm... Yes you are." I grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze before letting go, realizing that I had to. "Come on." I said, walking towards the exit. "And maybe you can teach me how to ride stick."
"You know, I was just joking. That thing isn't stick." He said following me out the door.
I bit my lip, "I know..." I giggled.
He gasped playfully, his hand on his chest. "You're such a little pervert."
"Maybe a little."
~Raph's POV~
I wish I didn't have to hide but I do. I wish I didn't have to sit so far away but I did. I wish I could stop smiling so much and looking at her like I was proud...but I can't. The way she sang made me want to tell everyone that I had someone that could sing the way she sang, and looked the way she looked and acted the way she acted. I mean... I had a girlfriend and I felt proud.
I hated being cheesy and I myself didn't expect me to be this cliché. I honesty thought Lilly would be the clingy one, she'd be all over me, I'd be the one that pushes her away yadda yadda. But no. I'm the one that has to do it all I guess...
"Again! Again!" Mikey laughed signaling to Donnie to pick another song.
"No. No more. My voice hurts." Lilly said softly, clearing her throat. "I've never sang this much."
"Awe... Please, sis." Mikey begged, grabbing onto her hand.
I saw her look into his pleading eyes, then heard her sigh in defeat. Even though she was tired, if Mikey wanted something, she was going to do whatever it took to make him happy. And for that, I felt grateful to have someone so giving. "She doesn't want to Mikey. Let her be." I told him.
Lilly looked at me, thanking me with her eyes.
"But you sang so good..." He whined.
"That's enough, Mikey." I growled once again.
Leo nodded, "Yeah, if she's tired let her be."
Lilly rested a hand on Mikey's shoulder, "I still have a lot more time till the actual show. Which mean I'm going to practice even more."
Mikey smiled, "Oh yeah...! I forgot about that."
She giggled cutely, her cheeks turning pink with happiness. I sighed, forcing myself to look away from her. A figure walking through the entrance caught my attention almost immediately. I felt my body tense with anticipation to fight like it always does but then it quickly relaxed when I saw Casey whistling his way in. "Hey Case," I greeted with a small wave.
"Hey Raph," he nodded.
I saw Lilly tense, she quickly stood and turned around. Casey stopped in his tracks, a disgusted look on his face.
"What are you doing here?!" Both of them yelled to one another.
Lilly growled, "Don't tell me you guys are actually friends with this dope."
"I can say the same about you." Casey snarled back.
I stared at the both of them, confused out of my mind. "Um...what?"
"You don't like Casey?" April asked Lilly softly.
"No. Just a another douchebag from school who can't remember to bring a pencil but still manages to remember to bring his giant ego to school." Lilly spat viciously, causing, I think, everyone to stare in shock at her demeanor. She seemed so angry and for no reason too because I honestly don't think she knew anything about Casey. I rolled my eyes... Women...
"Oh yeah? What makes you so great?" Casey asked amused, smirking playfully. Oh Jesus...
"Well for one, I'm not friends with you." Lilly huffed, her nose in the air.
Donnie snickered softly, and I'll admit, I felt a smile coming on. I like fierce Lilly.
Casey suddenly began to walk towards Lilly, making me tense out of pure reflex. She wasn't in danger, I know this. But I still felt the urge to push him back. "Oh really?" He growled.
"Yeah! Second, I don't carry around a giant hockey stick to compensate for the little mind I have."
"That's enough, Lilly." April stopped, grabbing onto her hand. "We get it. You guys don't like each other, but you can at least be civilized around each other. You know? Be mature."
"I don't even think that word is in his vocabulary." Lilly grumbled, her tiny fists clenching in anger.
Man, she was adorable when she was mad.
Casey finally took a deep breath and shrugged, "Fine. There's no reason as to why she hates me anyways. She barely even knows my name." He made his way pass her, pushing her harshly with his shoulder.
"Case-" I began when I saw this thing getting too far.
"I have a few reasons as to why she might hate you." Donnie spoke up. Leo just shook his head, as if to tell him not to get involved.
Casey came to sit near me, giving me this look as if I automatically agreed with what he was thinking. He scoffed to himself and rolled his eyes. "Chicks man..."
April scoffed, "Chicks man?"
Casey stared at her in disbelief. "Oh come on, don't defend her?"
"Defend her? I wasn't defending her I-"
"You better defend me, I'm your best friend!" Lilly yelled.
"I'll defend you." Donnie said happily, rushing to Lilly's side.
"Whatever." Casey spat. "I got Raph to defend me. Right, Raph?"
Oh shit, no don't get me involved. Why? Why! Why did my girlfriend and best friend have to hate each other? And I can't defend my girlfriend because then everyone will get suspicious and... Oh god, this is not going to end well for me anyways. "I think you both need to shut up."
Oh boy... The atmosphere shifted in that room faster than Mikey goes through pizza. Oh yeah, I am so gonna get it big time. What I felt- what we all felt, was pure anger and evil. Even Donnie had to move away from Lilly's side when he saw the light vanish from her eyes.
"Shut...up?" Lilly's voice almost sounded demonic. "Shut up?" I swear to god I just saw the left side of her face twitch.
I sat back down, all eyes were now on me. Everyone knew...I fucked up.
Lilly smiled then nodded, "Fine..." She said finally. We all relaxed in our seats, even Casey sighed a breath of relief. "Fine." She repeated.
April stared up at her with fear in her eyes. Why though? She was fine.
"That's just fine." Lilly chuckled before grabbing her bags. "I just remembered, I have some laundry I need to do so I'm just going to go." She told April goodbye, told Mikey and Donnie and Leo goodbye, gave me and Casey a look then turned and walked out.
April just stared at me in disbelief as if I did something wrong. April took a look around at all of us, scoffed to herself and stood. "Aren't you gonna go after her?"
I felt my heart tighten in fear, "No. Why would I?"
"Well, one she's-"
"April," Donnie stopped her, thank god.
April glared at Donnie, then back at me. "Isn't anyone going to go after her?"
"She said she was fine." Leo said with a shrug.
"Yeah." I said. "She's fine."
"Are you guys really that clueless?" April spat.
"I don't even know what just happened." Mikey chimed in finally. "But Lilly seemed upset."
"Wow..." April said with a sarcastic chuckle. "Mikey, for the first time, you're not the clueless one. Everyone else is."
Mikey smiled, "It's about time!"
Casey just rolled his eyes, "Hey, she brought it on herself. I was always nice to her. Like today, she was looking for you and I told her you left early and she bit my head off. For no reason!"
"Casey, there's always a reason to bite your head off." Donnie mumbled, rubbing his temples. "I'm sure she just hasn't thought of one yet."
"Shut up dunce."
Donnie chuckled, "Oh... I believe that you, my hollow headed friend, are the dunce."
Casey just growled, "You guys shouldn't be friends with her. And you April, definitely shouldn't. You've changed ever since you started talking to her."
"What are you talking about? I've been friends with her since last year. And I've changed, probably because I was so miserable when I stopped talking to everyone." April explained.
"Still..."
Leo sighed, "Well, you guys don't like each other. Raph and Lilly had the same problem now they can tolerate each other."
Mikey laughed, "Maybe 'cause Raph loves her." He teased.
Casey smirked, "Oh really? Now I know why you guys put up with her."
"Shut up, Mikey. No I don't."
I heard April gasp a little, Donnie put a hand on her forearm and shook his head. They do know I had to say this right? Do I want to? Absolutely not. But I had to.
Leo rolled his eyes, "Yes you do. It's so obvious."
"I do not!" It's obvious? I knew it.
"Oh really? Would it tick you off if I call up Lilly right now and ask her on a date?" Leo teased cockily, taking out his phone and waving it.
He better not. "She would never date you. That stick is too far up your butt for her to like you."
"We'll see..." He said as he began dialing. I felt all eyes on my reaction as I tried to stay as calm as I could.
Lilly would never say yes to Leo. She's with me. I got nothing to worry about. The next best thing besides me would be Donnie and we already know that will never work out. Lilly likes me. I mean she's kissed me...like a lot. And we've made out a lot. I even slept right next to her. I've seen her bra! Nah... She'd never go for Leo.
"Hey Lillian..." Leo said with a smirk. "I know I know. He's an idiot... You're 100 percent right... Mmhm... Yeah. Look, I called to ask you a question, I hope you don't mind..." Leo never broke eye contact with me.
Don't do it.
"I was wondering..." Don't you do it. "Are you available this Friday?" I will murder you twice. "Why? Oh because I wanted to know if you'd like to go on a date with me?"
He did it.
I clenched my jaw and fists, my eyes were burning with anger. I'm showing too much emotion, but I'm getting to that point where I don't care. I'm getting very...fucking...angry. I had nothing to worry about but Leo is always trying to push my buttons. And this time it's working way too well.
"Oh really?... I see..." Ha! Told ya! "Oh great! I'll see you then. Don't worry, I'll come by around 8. And you may want to wear something...very cute." He finished before hanging up.
She said yes? She said yes! How dare she?! What is this like some payback for me doing nothing? I've done nothing wrong and she's going to do this to me?! This isn't a way to convince people we aren't dating, there are so many other ways of doing that. And even if it is, it'd be such a fucked up way of doing it.
I slumped in my seat, "She doesn't like you. She never will."
"That's not the point I'm trying to make." Leo smiled at me.
"I don't-" I cleared my throat. "I don't like Lillian."
"Alright."
"I don't."
"That's cool."
"I don't!" I yelled.
Casey sighed, "Dude, you're saying one thing but you're acting the exact opposite. She's annoying but she is cute."
"Casey, shut up." April huffed.
"Awe, don't get jealous now, Red."
"You wish. Lilly's right, you should put that ego away."
I stood, "I don't have to take this. You, you want to go out with Lilly?" I snarled, pointing at Leo. "You go ahead. Freaking marry her for all I care. But don't get me involved in your stupid little...whatever. Just don't get me involved. I'm going out." I spat as I began walking away from all of them.
"5 bucks says he's going over to Lilly's." Somebody said behind me.
I stopped for a moment, fighting the urge to go over there and beat the crap out of Leo. It wasn't even him that said it, I was just really pissed at him. He always has to prove that he's right. He always has to be right. Well, Lilly will never like him. She's my girlfriend.
She's mine.
After about an hour of me just talking to myself and being pissed at everyone else, I decided to actually go over to Lilly's and give her a piece of my mind.
We fight to much. I feel like we're constantly fighting and making up. Most times she's the one that's arguing and I'm just laughing in the inside. She's really cute when she's mad. Maybe that's why we fight because I pick them.
I barged into her room, not really knowing if I was still mad at her or- no fuck that, I am mad at her. She's going on a date with my brother, while she's dating me! That is almost like cheating! No- it is cheating! She wasn't in her room. Her clothes were all laid out on the bed but she wasn't in her room. I wasn't about to yell just in case her mother was here. So I just decided to snoop.
All her black clothes were laid out, black shirts and pants and...bras... I picked up her shirts and pants, wondering if these were the dirty ones or clean ones. I chose to stay away from the bras, just because.
All girls wear those... And they wear underwear too... There's nothing unique about underwear. Everyone uses it. So...I have no reason as to why I act weird when I see her underwear. I mean, they were just pieces of fabric held together by a couple stitches. She had ones that looked like shorts, and then from there they got smaller...and smaller...to the point where I was just picking up pieces of string. She wears these!? How?! Why?! I mean...why not?
"What are you doing?" Lilly said, causing me to jump.
I put my hands behind my shell, my heart in my throat. "Uh...nothing."
"Why'd you unfold my clothes?" She said, shutting and locking the door behind her, then walking over and grabbing her her clothes and setting them off to one side.
"Uh..."
She sighed, "Raph, my mom is here. Please don't yell."
I felt my face still warm with embarrassment as I played with the soft fabric behind my shell. This thing kept me calm as weird as it may be. "O-Okay..."
"I was so mad at you."
"Why? I didn't do anything."
"Listen." She sat down on her bed. "I was angry with you, I was angry with Casey because...well because fuck him. He can scrape his knee. In fact I hope he does." Scrape his knee? What... "You didn't stick up for me."
"Well because-"
She held up her hand, "I'm not done. You didn't stick up for me. And I was mad at that. But I was more mad at the fact that I can't be mad because this is what I agreed to. This is what had to be done. This is how it's going to be." She shrugged. "I can handle myself. And I'm not trying to say 'Casey or me'. As much as I don't like him, I'd never do that to you. And it's way to dramatic."
"Well, you're a drama queen."
"What?" She snapped.
"You are. But it doesn't bother me." That much...
She nodded, "Well...good. I guess..."
"What does bother me is that fact that you're suddenly dating my brother."
She rolled her eyes, "I'm-"
"I was there when he made the call. And he only made it to piss me off. And guess what? It worked." I felt myself getting angry, my hands clenched behind me, that soft fabric only working at 5 percent now. "I'm not going to let you date other guys and that means my brothers."
"Okay, how do you want me to tell your brother we're dating?" Lilly stood up, suddenly in my face. "Because if I don't go out, or if I would have said no he'd be suspicious. I only did it to save you."
I chuckled, "Listen sweetheart, I don't need saving."
"Listen sweetheart, I say you do." She suddenly began to push me back, I didn't even realize I was walking backwards until I hit the wall. "I'm only doing this because you're too much of a pussy to come out and tell your family that we're dating. And yeah, I did expect this, I knew this was going to happen, but I'm allowed to be mad that I'm not allowed to be close to my own boyfriend."
"So you're going to date my brother? How does that make sense?"
She blinked, "It... It doesn't, okay? It doesn't make sense. But it makes Leo think I have absolutely no interest in you. So it saves your ass. See?"
"Yeah but then it makes Leo think that you have interest in him, see?" I growled sarcastically, my voice was getting a little to loud.
"Well I don't so you don't have to worry. I'm not going to fall for Leo or something dumb like that." She walked back to her bed, and grabbed all her clothes.
"I'm not worried about that. I'm not even worried. I'm pissed."
"What else is new?"
"Is this a way for you to force me into telling everyone about us?"
"Keep your voice down." She snapped.
"Is it?" I whispered harshly, holding out my hands before quickly putting them behind my back again when I saw the laces panties still clutched in my fist.
"No."
"Then call Leo and say you can't."
"And what's the reason for me canceling? 'Oh hey, sorry Leo I can't make it on Friday because I'm actually dating your brother.' Yeah, something tells me you don't like that." She began to aggressively put her clothes away.
When her back was turned, I quickly threw her underwear on to the bed. "Ever heard of making shit up!?"
"Lower your goddamn voice." She growled through her teeth.
"My voice is lowered!"
"Well lower it more!"
"Why? Too much of a pussy to let your mom know we're dating?"
Her eyes widened, maybe that was too far. "You know it's so not the same. Your brothers know I exist, my mom doesn't. At least there's a chance that your family will accept us..."
"So you don't think there's a chance your mom will accept us?"
"No..."
I stared at her as she continued to put away her clothes, her movements now softer. "Oh..."
Lilly sniffed, was she crying? "I'll call Leo and tell him everything is off. I'll just make up some excuse like you said to do." She wiped her eyes, "But Casey and I are not going to get along anytime soon."
"He's really a good guy." I spoke softly, my hand going to her chin to lift it. She immediately pulled away. "Alright, you don't have to get along with him. That's okay." After a moment of just looking at her red face, I leaned in and kissed her nose. "Next time Casey picks a fight with you, I'll beat his ass."
Lilly chuckled, she grabbed my hand caressing it softly. "We need to stop fighting."
"I'll say." I snorted. "My little drama queen."
"Ew..." She giggled, grabbing my face. "No pet names." She kissed me.
"Alright. Alright. But you're still a drama queen."
She nodded, "As long as I'm a queen instead of a princess, we're good." She patted my chest. "Now go home."
"I will." Just give me one more kiss... I leaned in once again and she stopped me. I groaned.
"No. If you keep kissing me then you're never going to leave." Her hands squished my cheeks. "I'll text you later."
Damn three updates in the same month? What is going on here?! I know Case comes off as kind of an asshole, and tbh he kinda is, but don't worry he'll get better. Let me know what you think ;)
